QA11 put from stock in quality to unrestricted use??

Hi everybody
I have a problem with stock in quality control because of Quality Management.
I would like to put it in unrestricted use, but I can't because the material need an inspection plan.
And I don't want to create him an inspection plan, because I have a lot of material.
So I make a QA11 in order to change the usage decision and put the stock in unrestricted use, I have an error message : "The function you selected cannot be carried out:"
Then I try LQ02" posting MM in IM, in order to change the stock category, but it's not possible.
Someone knows MM and QM and could tell How I can put my stock unrestricted use without create an inspection plan.

Hi
You might have activated Material Master -> Quality Management view Inspection setup with Inspecton type 01 for which default contros activates "Inspection with Task List". As task list is not available during GR, material is posted to Quality stock with automatic creation of Inspection Lot. Status of this lot may be starting with CRTD!
You have 2 alternatives
1 - Cancell the GR -> Deactivate Inspection setup and make GR. Ensure that you change the posting to Unrestricted.
OR
2. Create Inspection cask list with header information (Usage - 5 & Status -4) only. You may assign all material to same plan. Next execute Change Insp Lot (QA02) and assign Task List to Insp Lot. Now status will change to Rel and system will allow to post stock to Unrestricted

Issue in WM enabled with HU (Transfer of stock frm Quality to Unrestricted)

Hi,
We've a scenario in such a way of both WM with HU engagged together.
Transfer of a Material from Quality to unrestricted stock type using transfer posting.
1. in MB1B using mvt 321, stock of Matl A with qty 20 has been transferd from Quality to unrestricted.
2. Due to HU mapped, an OBD for posting change had been created.
3. wrt OBD, matl get packed,(as per packing instruction) which is identified with the HU no.
4. Subsequently a TO had been created and confirmed.
as of this stage the stock view in IM & WM is as follows:
IM
Unres   -
    nil
Quality ---      20
Due to effect of PCN, TO has been created to transfer the stock catogry within the same bin
WM
Bin 1 (Q)    20      ---            922 (Q)       20
922          20     ---           Bin 1            20
5. Then as per the process of completion PGI has to occur so as to nullifying the the -ve stock in 922 storage type
so the stock levels will be
IM
Unres --- 20
Quality --- nil
WM
Bin 1              20
Issue case :
A mannual TO has been created moving the stock from Bin 1 to 922 , without doing step 5 (i.e w/o completion of PGI).
This lead my stock figs as
IM
Unres    -
nil
Quality -
20
WM
922(Q)              20
This also causes storage unit status as " To be Picked". leads to stuck up to proceed further.
We also tried to do mannual TO to transfer the stock from 922 to BIn 1. Due to unavailabilty of the stock system throws error as -ve stock is not possible for 922 Storage type..
Seeking experts to help out this issue if possibly w/o any customising settings.

There is a tick mark in post to inspection stock indicator thereafter inspection lot tab in qa32 or qa11 is not activated.
Secondly, this is a stock item.
Thirdly, No PS module is implemented in my client
I think the user has posted the stock through MB1C with Movt.Type 503 into quality stock.At the time of this posting the 05 inspection type is not activated in QM view of Material Master thatswhy system does not created any inspection lot for this.
After some days,with out stock posting from inspection stock to unrestricted stock,he has activated 05 inspection stock for the first time.
Pl.suggest any possible solution .

MSKA - Stock in Quality and Unrestricted both

Dear Experts,
Please help to solve below problem:
After UD 321 done and stock moved to Unrestricted Stock.
At time of UD Batch Status was Restricted, later it has been done Unrestricted thru MSC2N (342 movement).
But in MSKA table, stock is showing against both in Unrestricted and Quality.
How it is possible?

Check a change document for the change in batch master record and a material document for the transfer posting.

QA11-Quantity pending to be posted from quality status to unrestricted use

Hi Experts!!
In usage decision process we can select the "code valuation" as Approved to transfer automatically the total quantity from status quality to unrestricted use. But in our system, a small quantity of the total quantity does not is being transferred. eg: We have the inspection lot with 76 pc... we should select the code valuation "Approved" and save. After this, 74 pc are transferred from quality status to unrestricted use. However, 2 pc are kept in quality status.
Could you help me with this issue?

Got the solution for the same. I think you have activated in selected set for the codes "Consider Long-Term Characteristics for Stock Proposal". This is why the stock is remaining in quality
QS51 > selected set > code group > codes > long term inspection > maintain do not consider
This will solve the issue

Hi Balaji,
I am not sure about which steps you want exactly to differentiate the stocks However, I can tell you the differentiation of stocks by ATP category.APO maps stocks as orders, and uses ATP categories to differentiate between the various stock types. SAP APO manages storage locations as sub-locations and batches as versions.
we can differentiate the Unrestricted Stock & Quality Stock by ATP category.
Quality Stock = ATP Category-CF - InspctnStk - Stock in quality inspection &
Unrestricted Stock = ATP Category CC-Stock- Valuated, unrestricted-use stock
In any view, product view/receipt view, under ATP category column, you will see these ATP Categories by which you can differentiate them.

Moving a Lot back from unrestricted use to quality inspection

Hi experts
I made GR and qulaity inspection lot is created and I made a user decision ater released it and the stock is posted to unrestricted use.
Due to manual error I need to cancel the material document and the invoice captured for that lot using MIGO t.code.
So i went to MIGO Selected cancellation with material document, I have given doc number and pressed enter. It is not allowing me cancel the material doc instead it throughing an error "You cannot cancel GR, since inspection lot is already partly posted"
How to proceed with this? pls help

Hello Srinivasan,
if you have made the UD and completed the stock posting SAP recommends that you create a bseperate return delivery for the stock (Not nice, but standard).
You could however try the following notes:

Then you can try to make the UD and return the stock.
Please note the exceptions in note 175842 concerning the reversal of stock postings.

Blocking payment for stock in quality

Dear All,
We dont have quality Module in our Project so the Material is not quality activated, I want to block the payment when material in quality inspection, and release for payment should only happan when material is posted from quality to unrestricted use, Please suggest what configuration has to done,

Yes it is possible. In customising, you will have to setup QM active for mvmt type -103 under applicable scenarios(for PO normal stock type, others like Sub contract etc as applicable).
Set up the Material Master -QM view for the inspn type (default 01).
In default setting for MIGO Change mvmt type for GR from 101 to 103 & adopt. Then do MIGO for the material.
System creates lot with stock in GR Blocked.Prior to UD, you can display in the inspection lot stock tab, the indicator GR to blocked stock.Also can confirm same in MMBE under GR blocked stock.
Do QE01 & QA11 as per normal.

Stock in Quality can not be cleared throgh Transfer posting.

i am facing one problem, i,e i deactivated the all inspection types in the material master and QM proc. key and control key are in active position.
by default whenever i do MIGO. system is proposing Quality inspection stock. Same think happened to many GRN's.
Now all theses GRN stock are there in the Quality stock. I tried to clear this stock through the Mov. 321 in the MB1B T code. system is not allowing to post the Doc.
Please suggest.

Hello Pravin,
Once you have the inspection type activated for the material. Then you prepare the PO, it will pick the stock type as Quality inspection. Then you deactivate the insp. type in MM will not change the stock type in PO. Hence will post the stock in QI during MIGO as guided by PO.
So as clear solution you should change the stock type manually as Unrestricted use during MIGO, hence you have already deactivated the insp type and wish to not have the lot.
But as you have written the thread i guess you have already posted the MIGOs and they have posted the stock in QI without generating the Lot, correct?
So to resolve it you are attempting the MB1B but, it's not working, correct? Because for movement type 322 MB1B or any other transaction (accept the QM trx e.g. QA11) is not allowed.
To make it allowed, go to trx OMJJ and change do the add MB1B in allowed trx list.
But make sure this must be temp change and rectify it as it is after you complete your requirement, because this solution is 100% violence of STD SAP.
The correct methodology is to cancel all the wrongly posted GRs, and re-post them.

In QA11 i have made mandatory to To unrestricted Use field in Inspection Lot stock tab but it just pass an error message in only Inspection Lot Stock tab.I want to pass this same error message in Characteristics Tab also.so,what should i do for this?

As far as I understand, if you have made quantity field for unrestricted stock mandatory in QA11 "Inspection Lot Stock" tab, then you can't post UD in "Characteristic" tab without entering any quantity there in the previous screen. Is it happening in the expected way or it is not working? If not working - then please check with your ABAP team!!
I am not very sure about the merit of the enhancement you are trying to achieve here. Reason being, for example, the inspection lot stock Quantity is 100 PC, and you put 10 PC in unrestricted Qty, then what do you expect for the rest of 90 PC? As UD may post 10 PC unrestricted and the remaining 90 PC may be in Q-Stock!!. I think, this is a challenge you may be facing technically & you should consider a new logic - "Unless at least one quantity field in 'to be posted' section for "Inspection lot Stock" tab is populated, the user can't apply UD code. Still this may not be a full proof logic as during UD, you still need to take care of the remaining stock quantity too.

How to consider 'Stock in quality inspection' in SNP

Hello,
In my SNP Planning Area there is a Key Figure (Quantity Available) to display the stocks (CC- Stock; CE- SubConStk; CK- RstrUseStk).
The business want me to add the QM stocks (Stock in quality inspection) in the SNP run so I added the category CF to this KF however the QM quantities never are available.
Could you pls give some information?

Hi Senthil,
I followed the steps you have given, but I'm still not able to see the value populating in my SNP Planning tables.
I created ZCC - ATP Category group and assigned CI, CK ATP category for Blocked stock and restricted stock. I added 9AADDKF2 in my SNP planning area and changed the semantic to 000 to make it livecache order KF. I assigned the ATP Category group ZCC to this KF and saved the planning area. After activation, I went to my planning view, but this KF value is not populated.
Is there something I'm missing here?

I create a inspection lot of Finished Good and inspection type is 04 used when take a decision in QA11 then the Inspection lot is not open and the message has shown.

But the stock is not posted To unrestricted use.
I want to stock post or cancel the document but i cant cancel or reverse the document.
Please suggest me the urgent bases what i do for stock post to unrestricted use.
Once problem has been mentioned here that the logistic period has been closed and FI/CO period will be close after six days.

Follow these steps for the qm inspn procurement.
1.Create Material Master Record with QM View.
2.Activate QM Proc/ Specify Control Key 0001.
3. choose Inspn set up and inspn type to be entered as 01 and set the active indicator.
4. Create Q-info record with material / vendor.(qi01)
5. Enter the release by date as 31.12.9999
7.Create inspn plan(qp01) with usage 5 and status 4and enter the control key as PPQM.
8.Choose the operation and assign the inspn characteristic / sampling procedure
9.MD61/MD02/MD04
10 Convert the Purchase requisition as Purchase Order.
11. Receive the Material against the PO.
12. In MIGO against PO receive the material.
13.QM lot will be created
14.qa02 check inspn plan / sample.
15.qe51n results recording
lot origin 01 mat no and execute results
16.qa11 ud code select accept and chooseinspn tab page and type the qty to be proposed and save.
17.stock will move to unrestricted use .

Sales order stock should post in unrestrcited use stock

We have MTO and MTS both scenario. Now, for SFG materials we produce through CIR in MD81. Hence, the planned order -> process orders are generated after MRP run has reference of sales order.
Our all SFG products are Auto Goods receipt through COR6N T-code. But, our scenario is for these CIR requirement all process orders stock goes to sales order stock. We can't use these sales order stocks in MTS or, other MTO FGs.
Hence, we want whenever process order confirmation we execute in COR6N, the stock should not be posted through 101E and later we are doing 411E. Rather we want in COR6N the stock should go to unrestricted use stock.
What are all config settings or, processes are there to satisfy our requirement. Also, what can be negative impact for that.

If the need is to build SFG stock as unrestricted stock, then why are you placing CIR & planning them in sales order segment?
Place PIR via MD61 for this SFG, then demand will be in plant level & the supply proposal which is generated will also be anonymous. Once you post GR for the supply proposal it will be 101.
If you do not sell your SFG, then maintain stg. grp as 70, if you sell at SFG level as well, then work with stg. grp 40. Maintain indiv / coll indicator as 2.
Do a test in your sandbox & if it meets your need adopt in PRD.

Putting stock into Quality from the Unrestricted stock

Hi,
I have a material which is having the stock in "unrestricted Use" , but I want to move the stock to "Quality".
I have already done the GR for my material.
Please let me know , how I can put the stock back to the Quality. As I want the stock in the same batch in which its showing the stock in unrestricted.
If I cancel the GR Document, will the Stock be moved to the quality after the document cancellation ?
Please help me to resolve my problem.

1.pl activate the QM view in the, by extending the QM view from MM01.
2.IF QM is there already then enter the inspection type 01 for Goods Receipt Insp. for Purchase Order. or if the GR is related to Production then
04 Goods receipt inspection from production
3.then cancel the GR or reversr 102 for which you have doen GR already.
4.Now re do GR, at the time of GR check the stock type (it should be Quality inspection) the do the posting.
Before posting to Quality ensure
1. materia should ahve inpspection plan (QP01)
with operations assingned with MIC(QS21)
with out the above master data you cann ot process the quality lot

Inbound message type WMMBXY(Stock transfer from quality to unrestricted), The status if I check in WM02 of Doc is "51-Application document not posted"
Error Message ""Required function
MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT is not being processed".

The Idoc whcile Posting using Message type WMMBXY calls the Function module L_IDOC_INPUT_WMMBXY & in turn this calls the function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT.
This function is not getting executed.
Please check if the Movemnt type used is not active for WM movemnts.
If you have used previously this movemnt type & now it is not working. Please take hlep of ABAPer for debugging & finding the Root cause
