QAAWS not working in 3.0

Hi all,
We have BO XI R2 Production and 3.0 Production running in same server box. (We will shutdown XI R2 in next 2 months).
But our BO 3.0 Dev and QA running in separate box respectively.
We have created Xcelsius Dashboard (through QAAWS) and all are working fine in Dev and QA.
But the dashboards are not running in Production.
XI R2 production CMS port is 6400 whereas 3.0 Production CMS port is 6403.
When we tried to browse the QAAWS link in production 3.0:

we got the error -
Available QaaWS services
Communication error occurred when trying to connect to server Production:6400 (FWM 01009)
All WebI reports and Universe are working fine in Production 3.0 (Port 6403), but only QAAWS some how pointing to port 6400 instead of 3.0 Port 6403.
Do anyone face this issue? How do we rectify this?
Our Dashboards are working fine in Dev and QA, but not fetching any data in Production becasue QAAWS is not working.
Also I tried to open QAAWS client in my laptop for Production 3.0 and got the below error:
"You are not authorised to design or edit a query. Please contact your administrator (QWS 02718)"
But I could able to loging in Dev and QA successfully.

We have solved the issue, once we have changed the QAAWS port details in server. Always default it take 6400.

Filter Between in QAAWS not working correctly for period, how to resolve?

I created universe based on query on bw and then created query in QaaWs.
I trying to query summary of sale amount for the periods that selected on the prompts screen.
I put sale amount in Result Ojbects pane and put periods in Filter Objects pane.
And set periods option to prompts in between. When I entry periods 008.2009 - 009.2009
The result of sale amount is not correct. It's seem only show the value of one period.
Does anybody know about this issue and maybe how to resolve?

Connection Details say:
Version 2.0.0.29
Build 12.1.0.882
Network Layer OLE DB
DBMS Engine MS SQL Server 2205
Database used is MS AdventureWorksDW sample database (data warehouse sample)
I noticed that only with this database, ranking is selectable (not with the AdventureWorks non-DW sample database).
Ranking itself seems to work, if I activated ranking (e.g. Top 10 customers) everything is ok.
(Also if I send a direct SQL command with ranking to the DBMS, it seems ok.)
Issue arise if I add year filter. Combination of rank and year filter does not seem to work properly.
Any idea why? Or do you wanted to say that this issue might also be related to DBMS support? I would hope / expect to get a straight "ranking not supoorted" and not incorrect data back ...

Rank in QaaWS not working correctly?

I am trying to integrate a simple Top 10 customers query in XCelsius using QaaWS:
I've built a simple universe on MS AdventureWorksDW Sample Database.
Using this universe, I've built a QaaWS using dimension Name, measure Sales amount (sorting on Sales amount).
I added an Rank filter to show top 10 Name based on Sales amount.
Until now everything ok.
Since I want a year filtering in XCelsius, I added a CalendarYear Inlist filtering using prompt.
Now, everytime I use a subset of complete year range (say, only one year), results are not correct. It seems that not all rows are evaluated correctly (compared with WebI, Names are missing).
If I use only year filter, results are correct, but then a lot of rows are transmitted to XCelsius and decrease performance.
The issue is not an XCelsius one, since I see the problem already in Query as a Web Service preview.
I am using Query as a Web Service 12.1.2000.882.
Does anybody know about this issue and maybe how to resolve? If not, what would be a good approach to debug? I would like to see QaaWS generated SQL.

QAAWS does not work after upgrade to SP1 Fix Pack 3

Hello experts,
I have Xcelsius 2008 Ver 5.00.99 Build 12,1,0,247
Today it was upgraded to SP1 Fix Pack 3 due to some issues with the Excel Formulas - it didn't help to resolve the issue with the showing Formulas in preview and I also discovered the QAAWS not working - either new generated connection or old ones causing the "Unable to load URL error" when I try to load the WSDL.
Please give me any suggestion what can I try wrt this QAAWS issue.

I have the same view.
In BOXI R2 if you took the the URL and pasted it into internet explorer you would see the WSDL. In BOXI 3.1 this does not occur. A list of newly define queries, or queries that have been re-run in BOXI 3.1 are displayed. The list contains links, but navigating using these links does not display the WSDL.
I am not sure if not being able to see the WSDL is causing my problem but it would explain the 'null' error. I can also see that QAAWS now creates the URLs with a new format when compared to the BOXI R2 URLs, may be this is causing the problem?

Qaaws not refreshing query triggered from Xcelsius, maybe a cache problem

I'm having a problem with QAAWS and Xcelsius
I'm using a List Builder component to select multiple values in this case STATES from the efashion universe
I use the selected states as values to feed a prompt in a QAAWS query, the qwaas query has the SALES REVENUE as the resultset and in the conditions it has a multi prompt for STATES
When I preview my dashboard, I select the States, then UPDATE the values and then refresh the query with a CONNECTION REFRESH button, The first time I do this it works fine and returns the Sales revenue.
If I add a new State to my selection and then run update and run run again the query with the refresh button, it doesn't work any more and it shows again the value retrieved from the first query
First I thought that the query wasn't triggered by Xcelsius, but by doing some more tests I found that actually the query runs but it returns the value from the first query
I think this is a cache problem , so is there a way to tell QAAWS to always run the query and not use the cache?

Hello Alejandro,
QaaWS indeed uses a cache mechanism to speed up some Xcelsius interactions (from XI 3.0 onwards), but your issue should not be induced by this, as cache sessions are discriminated according to session user id & prompt values, so if you are correctly passing prompt values, QaaWS should not serve you with the previous values by error.
Could you specify how you are passing several prompt values to the QaaWS? There might be an issue there, so make sure that:
1. QaaWS query prompt is set using In List operator, otherwise only first value will actually be taken into account,
2. In Xcelsius Designer Data Manager, web service input paremeters are duplicated to accept several input values (you cannot submit you list of prompt values as a list to a single input parameter).
If this still does not work, I'd suggest you debug your dashboard runtime using an HTTP sniffer like Fiddler (available from http://www.fiddler2.com/) which enable you to inspect the sent & recieved HTTP messages with the server, where you should verify which prompt values are sent to the QaaWS servlet.
FYI, you can set the QaaWS cache lifetime for each query, by going into QaaWS edition first wizard screen, click Advanced... button and change value for timeout parameter (default is 60 seconds)

Automatic Selected Item of List Builder Component Does not work (anymore)

Í'm working with Xcelsius Engage 2008 (version 5.3.2.0) and the automatic selection of an item at runtime of the list builder component does not work anymore. In a previous version it worked very well.
Here's the case: at runtime I want that the list builder component automatically puts the first item in the list to the destination section and selects it, so that a graph can show the underlying pushed data. In the previous version it worked o.k., but now at runtime the destination section remains empty at startup. If I interactively select an item from the source section to the destination section and update the list builder, the data is shown correctly, but it must done automatically, which worked o.k. in an earlier version of Xcelsius 2008...
This are my settings of the list builder component (which was running correctly earlier..):
-at the general tab I defined a range of labels
-at the general tab I defined 2 data column insertion series
-at the behaviour-common tab I defined selected items: position mode; items: the first item of the label list; insert items at runtime
-all of the data comes from an external xml data source
You can find an example of the visualisation at: http://onderzoek2.evinet.nl/projecten/10169/dynarap.htm. You will see that at start-up there is no item visible and selected in the destination section of the list builder....
I've tried every combinations of settings, build up the component from scratch, but its not working (anymore).

Print view button is a standard component of Xcelsius: look at it in the IDE
Exporting to Powerpoint is also a standard functionality, so yes. For this particular dashboard/report all data resides in an external xml-file which have to be accessible for Powerpoint
All visualisations, not only the table, in this/report fetch their data from an external xml-file, but a QaaWS-connection will also do the trick. You will have to write this dedicated service. In our case the xml-data is also generated automatically.
The external data is best defined as a sort of matrix, consisting of approx. 100 columns by 1000 rows. I agree it takes a lot of Xcelsius but it does the job....

Not work tablet UI on Prestigio 5080 PRO tablet

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.

Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.

I was under the impression that photoshop cc would not even install on windows vista.
What version of camera raw do you have?
In photoshop under Help>About Plugin does it list Camera Raw and if so which version is it?

Officially camera raw 8.3 is the latest version of camera raw that will work on windows vista.

Partner application logoff not working

We have a partner application registered with sso with custom login screen. The login works fine. We use the following code to logoff the partner application in logoff.jsp

session.invalidate();
but the logoff is not working properly. It is not invalidating the session and the logout http request is not going from the application server to the sso server.
Are there any additional configurations for SSO logoff.Any help is appreciated.

The WF should also trigger if i add the Partner function in UI.If i change any Attribute the WF triggers but i dont want to change the attribute when i add the partner function.
If i have only one event for WF that is Partner Change the WF will not trigger it for the 1st time when i save the UI. But next i come to the same saved doc and add a partner function then the Wf triggers.
So this means that Partner change is active.
the issue here is i need to trigger the WF on , the 1st time i save the UI, for which i wil be using Attribute Change and next time when i come back to saved doc the and add only the partner function and no changes are made to attributes the WF should again trigger.

IPhone 4 Voice Memos not working/saving

I'm having trouble with my voice memos too. Up until yesterday they were working fine and now, even though the record button works, the stop button does not and I can only pause them. Worse again is that the button to go into the menu to view all voice memos is not working so I can't play them from my iPhone and nothing new is saving to my iTunes. Please help!

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.

Installed Premiere Pro CS4 but video display does not work?

I just got my copy of CS$. After installing Premiere I found two things that seem very wrong:
1) video display does not work, not even the little playback viewer next to improted film clips located on the project / sequence window. Audio works fine.
2) the UI is way too slow for my big beefy system.
My pc is a dual boot Vista-32 and XP system with 4GB of memory installed and nvidia geforce 280 graphics board with plenty of GPU power. The CS4 is installed on the Vista-32 partition. My windows XP partition on the same PC with Premiere CS2 works great and real fast.
Any ideas how to solve this CS4 install issue?

The problem is now very clear to me. The problem only shows up with video footage imported into PP CS4 encoded with "MS Video 1" codec. So this seems to be a bug. The codec is very clearly called out and supported within various menues but video with this codec just will not play in any monitor or preview window. In addition the entire product looks horrible with respect to performance while PP CS4 trys its best to play the video. Audio will start playing after about 30 seconds. And once in awhile part of video shows up at the wrong magnification before blanking out again.
My suggestion to the Adobe team: fix the bug and add some sample footage to the next release so new installations can test their systems with known footage.

Ideapad A1-07 tablet wifi-bluetooth does not work!

Hello everyone. As you can see from the title on my tablet is not working wifi and bluetooth. When turning wifi tablet is reset and continues to be off and on until it forcibly turns off, and when you turn it on again, and do not touch wifi everything is normal and there are no problems with resetting. Can someone help me and give suggestion to solve this stupid problem. I'm from Croatia and I'm bad with the English writing.

Please ensure you have backed any important data before doing factory reset
Hold the volume down and the power till Lenovo logo appears .
System will boot into recover mode. Follow the instructions
