QM-Inspection Lot Specification changes

Dear Gurus,
We have maintained some specifications in the inspection plan.
during Delivery, Inprocess during process order relese Lot got generated with specifications maintained in the inspection plan.
Now user finds a problem in the specification, so he corrected in the inspection plan.
Is there any possibility of read again the master data for new specification for the already existing lot.
or is there any possibility of editing the inspection lot with new specification.

You can attach the new specification, if there has been no result recording or any activity confirmation done for the lot. Here is the steps for assigning the inspection plan again
1) Go to QA02
2) Menu > INspection lot > Reset Sample
3) Enter & Save
4) QA02
5) Inspection specification > Assign task list by click on Task/ specification
6) Go to Sample, do the SAmple calculation
7) Save
8) Check whehter lot status is Rel

Hi,
it seems that for an inspection lot, with lot origin 03:Production, its Inpsection Lot qty doesnt change when the Production order Total Quantity field changes. Only the Actual Inspection Lot changes.
How can the Inspection lot quantity field of the Inspection Lot be changed accordingly?
Should the enhancement PPCO0007 be used?and then LOSMENGE (table QALS) =GAMNG (table AFKO)
Can it be done?

Hi,
In that case, you can do it by :
- Reread the master data of production order(From Menu Bar).
- The status of production order will be converted from "Released" to "Created".
- Release the production order again.

Change of Inspection Lot Specifications at the time of lot creation

Hi,
We are using In-process inspeciton.
At the time of Production Order release an Inspection Lot is created automatically.
We want the Lot Specification values to be changed based up on the Configuration of the Sales Order.
Is there any User Exit or BADI that can be used for this purpose?

Hii,
Lot specifcation values cannot be changed once inspection lot is created. If u know specification only after creation of inspection lot then u include unplanned inspection charcteristics. Here u can define spec after lot creation also.

Inspection Lot status not getting changed to LTCA from REL for SubCon scenario

Dear All,
For ERSA material 01 inspection type is active with indicator Post to inspection stock only as it can be purchased. No other indicator is set.
This material can be sent for repairing outside with DAMAGE valuation type (stock provided to Vendor with DAMAGE valuation type).
For SubCon scenario, Purchase Order with Account Assignment Category F and Item Category L has been created.
Once GR using MB01 with 101 movement, consumption posting takes place and as Insp type 01 is active Inspection lot is getting created with status REL CALC.
At this time, DAMAGE stock against Vendor is getting reduced with Qty of 543 movement.
Now when, reversal 102 with MB01 is done against Purchase Order and details are adopted with reference to 101 material document, reversal is taking place, but at the same time respective material doc's Inspection lot status is not getting changed to LTCA. It remains REL only.
For 122 return to Vendor using MBRL also, Insp lot status is not getting changed.
Has anybody faced such issue? Is this standard SAP?
Kindly throw light on the process, is correct process followed?

Inspection lot shouldn't create for Transfer posting(311) sloc specific

Dear Expert,
i need expert advice on this issue.
here specific to one plant when user is doing transfer posting through movement type 311, user doesn't want inspection lot (specific to storage locations ).
Here specific to that Material quality is active. and business want quality active for other all plants.
i tried the T code OMJJ, if i deactive the quality here than this will applicable to all plants.
here v can deactive the quality at plant level through Material Master but here business wants to restrict at sloc level only.
b'coz if v deactive at plant level than quality will skip at the time of GR.
so how we can control the inspection lot creation for movement type ( 311 ) and storage location combination.?
pl. guide me on this

Prerequisites
The inspection lot processing functions can be linked to various authorizations that are checked by the system whenever you try to process an inspection lot. The following types authorizations are relevant to inspection lot processing:
Material authorizations

Inspection type authorizations

Resetting a sample for an inspection lot

How to reset a sample to an inspection lot, and transfer stock to inspection lot.

Try using the transaction codes QAC2 and QAC3 for both of your queries.
or open the inspection lot in change mode and assign the sample you would like.

Want to do mass processing for inspection lots with status SPRQ

Hello,
My company using early lot creation for 04 inspection type. We have thousands of inspection lots with status "UD ICCO SPRQ PRII PRSI STUP". Now due to SPRQ status, system is not closing process orders associated with thousands of inspection lots.
Is there any transaction where I can do mass processing of inspection lots to change the status "SPCO" from "SPRQ"?

Inspection lot release

After the goods receipt the system has created inspection lot with status CRTD CHCR SPRQ,now we want to post this stovk to unrestricted.
Waht is the procedure to post quantity to unrestricted ,how to make usuage decision.

since there is no inspection plan for the material ,your inspection lot is not released,kindly create a inspection plan in QP01 ,with date previous then goods receipt ,then go in the inspection lot in change mode (QA02) press the inspection plan in the inspection characterisic tab and press the sample in the sample tab
then you can do the result recording and usage decision in QA32

If results are not recorded and operation are not confirmed then do the following
1. goto change routing / recipe -- change the specification
2. go to prod/process order --read PP master data
then do RR new spec. get reflected during result recording

How to change the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot?

Dear all.
I want to Complete an Inspection Lot 10000000005 In the T-CODE qvm2.When I select the Inspection Lot 10000000005 and press F8 to Complete the Inspection,the SAP show an error message "Status check error".
And the detail info show that the error was cause by the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot.I check the Status of the Inspection Lot 10000000005 and found that it's Status was CRTD CHCR SPRQ.My question was how to change the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot?

CRTD means ...
In material master QM vew-inspection setup->Inspect with task list tick is there.
Now to change status,
Go to Qp01>create a task list for material(If not exists)>remember date of creation of task list must be prior to date to creation of inspec lot
If task list is created/exists>go to QA02.<inspection specification -->click on Inspec Spec
and attach task list
go to sample tab....click on sample.
Now save it.
Status will change to REL

Change the status of inspection Lot from 'Created' to 'Released'.

I am having the below scenario.
We have QM active in our plant. In the material master records we assign two inspection types '01' - Goods receipt insp. for purchase order & '08'- Stock transfer inspection. I didn't make any inspection plan (QP01).
We make a Purchase order ( say Qty=10)with excisable tax code. While doing GR (MIGO) for the purchase order, we capture and post Excise Invoice. Later, Usage Decision is done using QA11(7 qty to unrestricted stock type & 3 Qty to Blocked Stock). Later, i want to send the blocked stock to the vendor, I am transferrring the material from Blocked stock to QI stock type using MT349. But, system is showing the below warning message : 'Preparation for the quality inspection could not be comleted. -Message no. QA187'.
Please let me know how we can change the status of the inspection lot from 'Created' to 'Released' so that I can proceed further making the Return delivery to vendor using T.Code: MIGO.

Check the Usage of the Task list.
Check the date of creation of task list must be prior to creation of lot.
Go to QA02
Inspection specification > Assign task list by click on Task/ specification
Go to Sample, do the SAmple calculation
Save
Check whether lot status is Rel

You can change the Existing Inspection plans by doing setting at Cleint level as Replace MIC
When you cahnge MIC it will give popup of where used.You can change the task lists.
But this changes will not automatically reflect in an inspection lot.
for this you have to
Go to Qa02
Enter Inspection lot
Click on reset
save
check status of lot CRTD in QA32
now go to QA02
enter
click on Inspection Specification
selct sample
save
check status in QA32 as REL

Change Inspection Lot System Status

Hello. This forum has been very helpful in the past. Am a novice.
We have a material that wasn't completely set up when the inspection lot was created. An operation 20 needs to be added. Operation 10 exists, but no results recording have taken place yet. Current status is REL CALC SPRQ ORRQ. Since the inspection is released, we can't change the key date. How can we get it back to a state where we can update the key date?

Yes, I do mean that only. You need to reset the inspection lot using T code QAC3.
Go to QAC3>Enter inspection lot number> Hit Enter> Save> Terminate the transaction.
Then, refresh the inspection lot in QA32, you would see it with system status CRTD*.
Next, go to QA02> Inspection lot num> Insp. Specifications> Change the key date to today> Click on Task list/spec (It will display the message that inspection plan *** has been assigned to inspection lot.
Then, click on Sample> Smpl. > Save.
You'll get the inspection lot with REL* status with latest Inspection plan assigned.

Or there is an other way also but for that thing you need to strictly follow the below steps, without fail.
- Go to any inspection lot (T Code QA13) where this MIC's result is recorded. Ideally UD should be completed for this lot.
- In the "Characteristic" screen click on the "Chars relevant for usage decision", so it will display you all the results.
- Now click on the appropriate MIC. e.g. click on the MIC "color".
- Now click on the Result History or "Cntrl+F9".
- A small selection window will pop-up.
- Here there will be two main selections are available, 1> with Inspection Char. and 2> with Master insp. char.
- We need to "Master insp. char." activated (GREEN)
- Now at lower part of this screen there are four sub selection tabs such as Material, Object, Inspection lot, & time are available.
- In all the tabs a check box "Selection Active" is available, deactivate it.
- As soon as you deactivate it, the selection criteria will change into Yellow colored triangle.
- Noe Execute this selection.
- It will give you the data as you are looking for.
