Excise Duty (IS-OIL) - Invoice verification and accounting ED
Hello experts,
I have a case in my importation process with excise duty (IS-OIL). I have the following scenario: Purchasing Ed free material and receive it in ED paid Storage Location. So I use Handling type 00 and Valuation type TAX in the PO excise duty item data. I woul like to kwon Which is the standard process for the invoice verification of the excise duty cost when the handling type is 00 and the valuation type TAX?. And How can I do the invoice verification (MIRO) if there is not a specific line in the purchase order history for the excise duty cost?
I have another case in the accounting of movement type 301 (transfer posting between 2 plants). The accounting posting is the following:
Examle:
Account Transaction
1. STOCK FUEL S BSX (Stock account)
2. STOCK FUEL H BSX (Stock account)
3. STOCK EXCISE DUTY S SVO (ED Account)
4. EXCISE DUTY FUEL H ZZP (ED Account)
The problem is that the 4th account must be STOCK EXCISE DUTY ACCOUNT from SVO transaction.
I would be grateful if someone could help me with these cases.
Thank in advance.
PabloDear Prashant,
Thanks for reply, but i checked my excise cond types, in all conditions, cond cat is blank & cond class 'A' is maintained i.e. Discount & Surcharge.
My problem is that, my excise value is not got posted in net receivable value in accounts. This problem arise, when we make sales order, Net Value field doesn't pick excise there & while invoicing, it post only the base value & rounding off adjustments at header level. I don't know, from where this Net Value field in sales order is picking the value but my problem will solve if my grand total value(base valueexciseedu cess+higher edu cess) will pass to Net Value field while making sales order. Kindly help. -
IMPOSTOS PIS E COFINS DE IS-OIL NAO ESTAO INDO PARA O XML DA NFE
Prezados,
unfortunately I do not have such great news.
I have just received the information from our LPM that SAP do not
support industry specific conditions to be exported to the XML.
The recomendation is that the customer implement the necessary
modifications himself or look for a LPM and create a new development
request.
Saying this, you have to undo the modifications created by note 1671892
and close this message
Entao, diante dessa resposta, o jeito e desenvolver algo, ou solicitar o desenvolvimento caso haja tempo habil.
Obrigado a todos,

Hi,
We give users the responsibility of maintaining the TDP excise duty rates. hence, they are authorized to use transaction O4K5.
There's another table to maintain region based ED rates which we want users to maintain and this can be found in : IS Oil -> TDP -> Excise duty rates -> Define region based external rates. Can you please advise the transaction code for this menu?
Thanks!Hi Zenon,
There is no direct transaction for this. But we can use Transaction :SM30 , give the view name "V_OIH01A" and click on Maintain. I hope this helped you.

How can I restore the oil resistant oileophobic_coating on my iPad 3?
Now that my iPad 3 is a few years old the coating on the screen seems to be wearing off I have used nothing but an ultra fine microfiber cloth (the black one that came with my 3GS iPhone ) but an area about 2 inches in diameter has developed that in landscape mode is in the slightly right of centre space that seems to have lost its coating magic. I could not find anything in the manual on this so I thought it best to ask here
Reading the reviews for products like this on amazon they seem to be either the highly suspicious 5 star better than sliced bread sort or one star total ripoff
This is repeated for the 5 different products which ranged in price from $10 to $50
I smell snake oil and since apple is not selling an approved product in their store I wonder if any of them would do any good; or Just make a minor problem that has me using the microfiber cloth several times a day into a major mess of a sticky screen
I sure would like to here from the experts on this stuff I mean the coating apple uses when they build them. -
Oil Paint Feature Request: Preview / No Preview Capability
A feature notably absent from the Oil Paint filter is any way to temporarily disable the effect (e.g., not preview it).
I happen to like using Oil Paint to make refllections in the surface of water smoother and more "liquid" (which involves turning off the "Shine"), and it would really be nice if I could easily gauge the amount of the effect easily by blinking back and forth between original and processed image with a quick "disable preview" functionality.
With most standard filters, one can either uncheck a [ ] Preview box, and/or click the mouse button down on the image to temporarily show what the image is like without the effect.
Yes, I know I can turn the Stylization down to 0.1 and see how a very minimal amount of the effect can be applied. And I can look at the original image in Photoshop proper, but of course that can't be zoomed while the Oil Paint filter is active.
Also, the zooming / panning seems kind of stiffly implemented.
In summary, the more or less standard and expected filter features I'd like to see added to this (new class of) GPU-accelerated filters are:
Preview/No Preview capability. It doesn't have to update Photoshop, just the preview display in the filter itself. I suggest a [ ] Preview checkbox and/or an on-mouse-click temporary effect disable.
Modal click and drag Zooming vs. Panning - i.e., based on a Zoom or Pan function selected (e.g., via an icon along the left) vs. having to hold modifier keys down. I personally would want it set to Zoom by default, not Pan. Since the filter has scroll bars (a Good Thing), I would have thought Zoom would have been a better default as it is.
I have implemented these things in my own GPU-accelerated plug-ins, so I know that all the infrastructure Adobe needs to support them is already in there. These changes are controls only and should be trivial to implement.
P.S., There may be well-meaning folks amongst you who will want to suggest I post this over on Photoshop.com. Not going to happen. That forum is even more irritating than this one, and frankly I want little to do with it. I think the concept of public voting on features is ridiculous. If Adobe sees this here and chooses to consider it, fine. If not, fine.
-Noelc.pfaffenbichler wrote:
While I can’t find the thread currently I think Mr.Cox commented on one occasion that the expenditure of updating the older filters’ (like Radial Blur) interface would have to be justified with (extensive) documentation of advantages and/or what-not.
As a user it just seems clear that Filters should appear homogenous, but the persons holding the purse strings seem to have another take on the issue.
TRUE! I have long been critical of Adobe's reluctance to revisit older parts of their software and bring them up to date, so as a result we users have to live with a hodge-podge of variations on the UI - and also more importantly in functionality. Why, for example, doesn't someone think it's important to fund development to bring all the older artistic filters up to date so they work on 16 bit data? There really is an obvious downside to Adobe having no competition. The product has gotten damned sloppy as a result. For example, an engineer developing a new feature can pick and choose from any number of other features already in existence (however outdated) and make the new one work the same way, claiming compatibility with something already there, and thus "good enough".

In a bedroom accident, the wife and I spilled baby oil into my MacBook Pro. (let the jokes begin)
Amazingly, it still works fine. I know that is a scented mineral oil and that it is not too conductive.
I took it to our local apple dealer, who said it only has a month to live. While I never thought it would even start, I am now wondering if he was right.
Would you please address the folowiing questions
1. Should I do anything? if so, what?
2. Should I expect it to continue to live?
3. Is there any REAL danger other than killing the computer?
I have already backed up data, and am draining tthe oil to the best of myy ability.Surprisingly enough, a popular project is for people to make systems completely submerged in mineral oil. It is a very poor conductor:
http://www.google.com/search?q=mineral+oil+computer&sugexp=chrome,mod=9&sourceid =chrome&ie=UTF-8
The problem is that those systems are designed to remain in the oil. Once you get something like oil on a system that's used in a more traditional sense, you can expect dust and other contaminants to build up quickly. There's not really much you can do to prevent that. Over time, that build up can result in cooling or other issues. If it gets in fans or other moving parts, over time, build up can cause them to fail as well. -
I have Photoshop CS6 Extended Students and Teachers Edition. when I go into the Filter/Oil paint and try to use Oil Paint a notice comes up "This feature requires graphics processor acceleration. Please Check Performance Preferences and verify that "Use Graphics Processor" is enabled. When I go into Performance Preferences I get a notice "No GPU available with Photoshop Standard. Is there any way I can add this feature to my Photoshop either by purchasing an addition or downloading something?
Does you display adapter have a supported GPU with at least 512MB of Vram? And do you have the latest device drivers install with Open GL support. Use CS6 menu Help>System Info... use its copy button and paste the information in here.

HI Expert,
We are on IS OIL 4.72E version . As part of once of our requirement we need to process inbound shipment IDOC from SCM system and create the TD Shipment document in R/3 ..
Delivery is already created in R/3 ; In SCM assginement of vehicle is done and IDOC is transferred to R/3.
I want to know how to process this inbound shipment IDOC ; for creating only TD shipment not the delivery as it is already exist.. what is the process code and function module to be given in partner profile....
Kindly explain me step by step if possible....
Regards,
Adityakumar WaghmodeHi,
Function module field is used to define the path functionality of file generated.
EDI_PATH_CREATE_CLIENT_DOCNUM is the recommned fucntion by SAP .
Function is used to prevent unprocessed files being overwritten.Tihs function generates file directory path dynamically.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi Friends,
Could someone help out with what technologies/databases are being used to capture and maintain the Cost of Goods Sold? (e.g., SAP MM examples or something else) ?
I am working on a downstream project for an oil major and would like to determine which technology would be best for storing the cost of goods sold information.
Thanks
SamHi Sam,
Cost of goods can be determined by any business software.I am big fan of SAP so I will suggest that SAP SD(Sales & distribution ) module will suit best to sales applications. You need to have SAP FI also to cater financial transactions.
Actually SAP ERP package conatins different blocks to cater different needs.
Some of important functionality provided by SAP is
Procure to Pay = SAP MM
Order to Cash = SAP SD
Hire to Retire = SAP HR
Cash to Paymane= SAP FI and these are very much integrated features.
Please see the link mentioned
http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/erp/index.epx
there are lots of brochures /white papers link are available on this page which will give you fair amount of idea about this..

Problem during IS-OIL activation transport: "ERROR during DD ACTIVATION"
Dear All,
On Development system, is-oil was previously activated with SFW5
transaction (notes 908007, 874541); afterwards transport was created on
development system and imported on the production system, but
unsuccessfully!
On Production system, we have the following errors on file SLOG0847.GP6:
ERROR: stopping on error 12 during DD ACTIVATION
ERROR: stopping on error 12 during MOVE NAMETABS
Please have a look to the following logs to have a complete view of the problem.
Could you suggest a solution for this problem?
Additionally, a very important question is:
Is it necessary activate IS-OIL with transport in the live system,
or is it possible activate it manually?
Thanks for your cooperation,
Dario Ricci

How to clean the connectors on internal hard drive for oil?
Hi
I've a 2008 Mac Pro 3.0GHz with 4 internal hard drives...while putting in the newest internal 1 TB hard drive, the guy who did this pointed to the brass/copper connector bit on the hard drive, the part that slots into the motherboard connector in a Mac Pro, and he was touching, briefly, the connector with his finger...should I pull that hard drive back out and try to clean off the connector because of oil? Also the connector part (seat) inside the Mac where the HD slots into? How and with what?
Thanks
KCleaning those things would require tools so delicate probably only a computer could manage it right. Don't worry about it, or take care of it right away by getting a new drive. I've pulled hard drives out of their socket only to have one of the pins permanently bend out of shape, and become unreadable. I've also had one that was repaired by a person with a soldering iron. I dare not remove it from its case after that event!

What is the best practice for setting up warehouse inventory for oil & gas tank farm
Hi, i want to know the best practice for setting up warehouse inventory for oil & gas tank farm. SAP has these levels for inventory management in warehouse environment: warehouse-aisle-shelf-bin. To me the bin seems to be the central location for inventory. So do i set up each oil tank as a bin location?

Best Practice for Oil and Gas Field Data Capture
Hi All
What is the best practice to capture volume data of Oil and Gas commodities in SAP? There is a solution [FDC|http://help.sap.com/miicont-fdc] that address the requirements however what parameters it asks, whats the process and how it calculates different variables isn't provided over the resource center.
Appreciate any response.
Regards
NayabHi Zack,
It will be easier for you to maintain the data in a single application. Every application needs to have the category dimension, mandatorily. So, you can use this dimension to maintain the actual and plan data.
Hope this helps. -
IS-OIL: Exchange Third-party feedstock material for on-spec material
Dear All,
We are using SAP ERP ECC 6.0 + IS-Oil Downstream and we are trying to figure out how to record the following business flow in the system:
1. A third-party partner send us feedstock/off-spec material to our oil depot for an exchange with on-spec material
2. We give them on-spec material and charge fees based on the cost of processing the feedstock to on-spec material
We are thinking to use Buy/Sell exchange type, but when we buy the material, then there will be tax charge and material will be GR as valuated material , which we are trying to avoid.
Could we use Terminalling Agreement? GR the feedstock as non-valuated and then GI on-spec material (let's say Diesel) as non-valuated also (different material between GR and GI).. Or there is another way in SAP, regarding services to process third-party raw material to finished good material for Oil and Gas industry?
We are really appreciate your help..
Thank you,
John StallonHi,
Please search for the SAP building blocks for Third party sale with Shipping and Third party sale W/O shipping
U can use FERT as material type only

I cannot find the oil paint filter anymore in the recent version, it is not hidden in the paint galleries. I hope that Adobe did include it otherwise i cant use the updates anymore....
You ARE going to put it back aren't you?
Won't happen.
You'll have to use the just-released 3rd party filter.
Photoshop: Spring Cleaning | PHOTOSHOP.COM BLOG
"Oil Paint is a very cool filter, but relied on a very large and complex code library used for an outdated technology (Pixel Bender) that is no longer supported.
Update/note: It looks like a 3rd party has released a full PixelBender-esque plug-in that will work in CC. Haven’t tried it myself, but may interest those who liked Oil Paint and PixelBender: http://aescripts.com/pixel-bender-accelerator-for-photoshop/"
