QM Physical Sample Numbers to xMII

I am trying to get the Physical Sample numbers for an Inspection Lot out of SAP and into xMII for additional barcode label processing. I can see the information I need in the SAP R/3 client but am unable to get it to xMII.
I am using the JCO interface and using BAPI_INSPLOT_GETLIST to get the inspection lot # for a Production Order and have tried passing that into BAPI_INSPLOT_GETDETAILS, BAPI_INSPOPER_GETLIST and BAPI_INSPOPER_GETDETAIL but none of them seem to have access to the physical sample records. Can anyone help me with a RFC, BAPI or user Exit that I can use to get this data?

I have tried using BAPI_INSPCHAR_GETRESULT but I can only get information if the results for that char have ben posted. I am trying to get the physical sample numbers to send to a barcode label application so we can track the samples thru the testing machine. The requirements are for multiple lables in different sizes so we are not printing these labels from SAP.
For each inspection lot\physical sample drawing, we generate 30 physical samples. (1 master, 2 pooled, 27 retention) I need to get these numbers out of SAP to print them.
If I run transaction QA3 from the client and select Samples (Physical Samples (Shift + F2)) from the menu, I can see the list I want before any results have been entered.

    Hello,
You may need to check QE13 to view the qualitative results for the inspection point.

  • How to manage physical sample in SAP?

    Hi,
How to manage physical sample in SAP?
    Regards
    Ashish Jain

    Hi
Physical sample is to keep the sample of a product till its shelf life expiry date. E.g. In case of any shelf life applicable product, the inspected sample will be retained till its expiry date. If any customer complaints are received, on inspecting the complaint, result may be compared with the existing physical sample.
In SAP, Material master should have inspection type 15.
To create physical sample, sample drawing procedure has to be created and attached to the header of inspection plan. With this set up when the lot is created, physical sample will also be created. Result recording should be done for physical sample. Physical sample storage information has to be updated through transaction code QPR2

  • Is there any Bapi for Physical Sample creation

    Hi Folks,
Is there any Bapi for physical sample creation. My scenario is like this I have the data in the table (material, plant, batch, type, vendor, vendorbatch ). For each material i have to create a  physical sample......
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated..
    thanks
    chaithanya.

    HI Chaitanya,
    You can use : BAPI_BATCH_CREATE
it has import paramaters like Material, Plant , batch , Batch Attributes ( Vendor No, Vendor Batch etc)... I guess this is what you are looking for.

    Hi Gurus,
Is there any T code for Mass release of Physical samples. We are in cutover and for around 1000 Open inspection lots, we need to release the physical Samples. It will  be labourious to release every sample using QPR4.
Tried LSMW, SHDB but the release is not getting recorded. Is there any other way for releasing physical samples in mass?
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Release of physical samples

    Dear SAP Experts,
I have created inspection lot for a material with movement type 101 against a Purchase order in developmet client. I have attached inspection plan to it. In inspection plan sampling procedure & sample drawing procedure are used. According to it Sample calculation is also done. Now the inspection lot is in released status. When I go for result recording system does not allow me for result recording. When I investigate, I observe that the physical samples (both primary & pooled) are in CRTD status. They are not in result status thats why system does not allow the result recording. Please note that I have not used any user status which may prohibit release of physical samples.
I think, after releasing the lot, physical samples must automatically have release status. Is my assumption correct?
If not how the physical samples can have release status automatically?
Kindly help in this regard. Your valuable help is appriciated.
    Regards
    Vivek

  • Physical Samples in QM-IDI

    Hi,
how is the physical sample handled in QM-IDI ?
In 'QAIMV' there is a field called 'PHYSPROBE' with a length of 6,
but in transaction QPR4 the field Physical Sample' is longer than 6.
How are these field related ?
    Best regards

  • Error during Usage Decision - Not All Physical Samples are valuated

    Hi,
I am using Sampling Procedure as follows:
    Sampling Type :   Fixed Sample
Valuation Mode :  Attributive Inspection nonconf. Units
    Inspection Points : Sample Management
I have assigned the  Inspection Point as  200  and Sample Drawing  Procdure in Inspection Plan Header.
I have recorded and closed results for 3 samples. During Usage decision the following message shows:
Not all physical samples are valuated!  Do you want to force inspection completion?
This means that Valuation of Inspection points have not updated. I request your help to solve this problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    V.Devaraj

    Hi
Check the inspection plan, check for all the operation, by double clicking on operation you enter the opertioa details screnn, pls scrol down, you should have a field called VALUATION, select the option "automatic valuation option" .

  • Result Recording without release of physical sample

    Hi,
        SAP Gurus,
I have one query regarding result recording for some lots.
I have created one sample drawing procedure and assigned to inspection plan.
In SDP I have maintained primary size factor 1, Fixed number 1, Acc.to smplng scheme-PM, Insp. severity-4.
In pooled sample  size factor 1, Fixed number 1.
At header level Consider No. of Containers Tick, Confirmation Required Tick, Used in Task List Tick.
I have done One GR for raw material and assigned that inspection plan to the created 01 origin 01through QA02.
One primary and pooled sample is created in CRTD status. I have not release the sample.
When I go to QE11 for result recording system assigns the physical sample by default and branch me direatly to the result recording screen.
My query is that, i have acivated confirmation required tick in SDP then system should not accept the sample which is in created status and should not allow me to do result recording. But system is skiping this and allowing me to do Result recording.
Please let me know what necessary settings i have forgot.
    Thanks in advance,
    Harriesh

    Dear Shyamal,
The scenario i mapped is that, I need to release the sample manually. User should not go for RR without sample release.
It is working fine also. But for few lots it is not asking the sample release. It ir skiping the sample status stage and directly going to RR.
Please let me know way system is behaveing like this for few lots only.
    Thanks and regards.
    Harriesh.

  • Determine Physical Samples using a Sample Scheme

    Dear QM friends,
currently I am struggling with a QM issue that maybe you can help me with.
Within the one of our factory sites we have rolled-out QM for quality inspection at GR, for this we use Physical Samples (just like we do in other factory sites). Only thing is that in this specific site they want to draw their physical samples based on a sample scheme. The other site use formulas to draw samples.
So we have setup a sample-drawing procedure to determine the samples based on a specific sample scheme that has been setup for this factory.
What I expected SAP to do when doing a goods receipt of for example 3 items is that SAP will draw 3 Physical Samples with a quantity of 1. However strangely SAP creates 1 Physical Sample with a size of 3 items.
    With kind regards,
    Kenny Galle

Thanks for both of your responses
In relation to you questions I checked the following:
    1. I am using Primary Samples alone and they are to be taken from a Sample Scheme linked in the Sample-Drawing Procedure;
    2. Increasing the sampel size does not work, I am still left with one physical sample and multiple items. Where I want a physical sample PER item.
When we use a formula in the Sample-Drawing procedure (e.g., "P1" or "TRUNC(P1/10)+1") it works fine and we get a Physical Sample per serialize item.
Any guidance will be highly appreciated!

  • BAPI or FM to create and release Physical Sample

    Hi,
Can anyone suggest a BAPI / Function Module that I can use so I can create and release a Physical Sample?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.
    Brando

By the way, the creation and realeasing of Physical Sample is similar to that of Transaction QPR1.
Anyone can suggest an FM / BADI? Thanks in advance.

    Hi All,
I want to know the unique relation between Inpection Lot Number, Physical sample Number, Material Number and Warehouse Number(from LQUA ).
I have Inspection Lot Number and Physical Sample Number on my selection screen.
Based on this I have to fetch the details from LQUA.
I got combination of Lot and sample from the View QAPP_QALS. There is material also in it.
But I am not understanding how to get the details from LQUA.
    Thanks,
