QM User decision Code

hi,
When i am doing the QA11 a record usages decision , and when i put an UD Code in defect tab it show me an status check error pop up, and in detail information a red indicator shows "Certif.confirmation missing"
Please suggest what to do

>You have made QM in procurement active for the material. In which you have assigned a control key which requires quality certificate from the vendor. You have to confirm the receipt of the certificate.
A key for the certificate type will also be stored in the QM view of the material master at plant level.
Use QC51 to create the certificate receipt incoming.

SOFM in user decision step - provide reason in UWL

Hello Everyone,
I'm working with a customer who wants to use a user decision step and add a reason for the rejection only. This step will be executed in UWL - since UWL doesn't support syncrhonous dialog chains, it can't be implemented by adding another step with SOFM. I have seen the 'template with attachment' in the user decision step, and have tried binding SOFM to the Reference in the container, but the user doesn't have the option.
Perhaps this could be implemented with a secondard amodal method - which checks the user decision code and only implements if the decision was rejected. I'd like to be able to put a condition on the secondary methods.
If you've done something like this, please let me know!

Unfortunately it is not only synchronous dialog chains, but also secondary methods that are not supported in the UWL, so you're stuck both ways.
Though, I have been told that the latest SP does support some kind of advance with dialog functionality (SP15 I think?).
At one customer we used a custom ABAP-based decision step which executed in a wingui session - thus synchronous dialog chains worked as long as every subsequent step was wingui based (which SOFM.CREATE obviously is) - worked quite well.

Step for User Decision

Hi All,
I have a scenario and two solutions for it.
Please give me the input for which is a better solution and why.
Scenario - Approver have to either Approve/ Reject a particular request made.
The user decision has to come from Java front end and the workitem created has to be executed externally
( not by opening sap inbox)
Soln 1 : Create an asynchronous task and custom terminating events for the workitem and trigger terminating event for any user decision Approve or Reject.
Soln 2 : Send an normal decision task and programatically execute one of the decision using the WAPI* FM when user clicks Approve/Reject.
Both of them I think uses the WAPI * FM.

Sorry I was not clear in my question before.
I still refered to the first solution which uses a Aysn Task and a method which does not have any code (just a placeholder)
IA is absolutely right but I dont have the flexibilty to use an ivew.

What additional code that would be required for the second solution (both uses a sap WAPI FM )
Both can be tracked by WF tools by finding out the agent and the person who have completed the Workitem so which tools you were mentioning about
Actually I did not get which is a better solution but realized both can be used atleast no worry on the performance load. My be this topic can go for a long time to figure out

Link in User Decision step not showing correctly in UWL

Hi SAP Experts,
I have a requirement to add a link in a user decision step, this link triggers a custom webdynpro for additional input. When I access the workitem from Business Workplace, the link is showing fine. But when I execute the workitem in UWL, the link is not displayed, instead the code is shown (<a>...</a>). Please advise on what I should do to have the link working. Thanks in advance.

This same thing was just recently discussed. I just cannot find the thread anymore (well, in that thread there was not really any solution). Basically the hyperlinks in work item do not seem to work in UWL as they should. I don't know if there are any way to make them work. My suggestion is to not use the hyperlink at all and replace that with an action (=button) to the task in the UWL. This can be achieve quite easily by simple XML configuration in portal. If you have worked with UWL this should be quite straightforward for you, or if there is a consultant at the site, who is familiar with UWL, this should be simple for him/her.

Create Condtition with Step User Decision

Hello All,
I create a workflow for the approval of Purchase Order using the step user decision which works fine. But in my configuration, i have 2 release strategies, one is for approval of Purchase Order with sum lesser than 250,000 while the other strategy is for approval of Purchase Order with sum greater than 250,000. Due to this release strategy, i created a condition step (Using container of net price) before the user decision step, which has a false and a true branch. But for every time i create a Purchase Order, only the false branch gets triggered.
How do i create this condition and where should it fall, bearing in mind that my start event is the creation of release step of BUS2012

I think along with the condition check on Net price ,you should also do a condition check on the release code triggered from T16FS and place this combined check correctly before the user decision step.I think it should work.

User decision Dead line

Hi Experts,
I am having a user decision step type and for that i have deadline for 3 days it works fine as long as the person dosent click the work item.
In some cases the agent clicks the user decision workitem but dos't take any action for more than 3 days. In such a case also i need to send a dead line notification mail how to do this.
In this case the normal dead line is not applicable as he had already clicked the user decision but did not take any action.
kindly advice me on how to do this.

you can keep a activity step after the user decision step and write the code which calculates the number of days passed and use the appropriate FM SAP_WAPI* to set the status of the workitem to "Ready" Status.
or
keep a wait step for 3 days and if the decision step is not in completed status, keep a "send mail" step which can remind the approver that the workitem is still pending for approval.
Hope others might give a better design...

Url link in User Decision workflow step

Hi Experts,
I had created a workflow for "Employee transfer" process using SWDD tcode.
I had a created a workflow step with type as "User Decision".I had included "Approve" & "Reject" decision options.
Now i want to include URL link along with "Approve" & "Reject" in the user decision workflow step (i.e) The manager needs to see the URL link along with "Approve" & "Reject" in his SAP workflow inbox.
Can anyone guide me...

Hi Krishna,
I understand your issue. I have faced a similar issue in my project.
Here is the solution!
To add link of a URL you need to have the binding with the BO of the transaction your are refering to. To do this, you need to bind your BO event (triggering event) to the workflow container and then the workflow container to task container. This BO value should flow from event-> workflow -> task container to get the link in the User Decision.
To do the binding you need to follow the following steps:
1. Go to t-code SWDD and open your workflow template.
2. Go to Basic Data (cap sign button at the top of the screen) or click Ctrl + F8
3. Go to Start Events tab.
4. In the Object type enter your BO name (BO for the transaction you need to add as link), in Event of object enter the BO event. This would serve as the triggering event for your workflow.
5. Click on 'B' i.e. Binding Defined, click on generate automatic binding. It would automatically generate the appropriate binding for the workflow. You can also alter the binding as per requirement. This binding would ensure that the URL comes under 'objects and attachments' section.
6. Click on 'C' i.e. Start Condition. A dialog would open, select the appropriate start condition for the workflow. Check the condition before saving (recommended).
6. Click on 'A' to Activate the binding and start condition. All 'A', 'B' and 'C' would get green.
7. Save the changes made and activate your workflow.
8. Do the binding between the workflow and the user decision step. Select automatic binding (recommended).
You can also refer to the similar thread that I had provided solution to. This would help you resolve the issue!

User Decision step in UWL

Hi,
I have a 3 user decision steps in my Customised workflow which uses the task TS00008267. Each task has different decison text and outcome. When this is executed through UWl the outcome does not appear as they are in SBWP.
Does this need and Portal Configuration?

There are two thing you need to do.
First, you need to configure the SWFVISU.
Run Tcode SWFVISU.
here, select "Task Visualization' and maintain your standard task ( TS ) with ABAP web dynpro option.
Now selct your entry and click on Visualization Parameters as mentopn below.
APPLICATION ( WD application name )
DYNPARAM
NAMESPACE
SYSTEM_ALIAS
Second, ask Portal team to chagne the XML code for the above standard task and application ( i.e. WD appilcation which will be launced on clicking the task ).
From the next run of the workflow, WD applcitoon will be lauched from the protal.
for the old workitem this will not work.
Note : If u do not configure SWFVISU then WD application will not lauch but user will get SAP gui screen for processing it.
xlm code must be changed corresponding task for both case.

User-Decision COMPLETED buti next step not executed

Hi Gurus,
I have a very strange problem when approving user-decision tasks in my workflow using FM SAP_WAPI_DECISION_COMPLETE.
SOMETIMES, the user-decision step becomes COMPLETED but the result in the workflow logs (SWI1) is blank and does not continue to the next steps of my workflow. I've done my research and checked everything (commit = X, SWU3, Task is General, etc..) but i still have not found any solution yet.
FYI: this does not happen all the time, most of the time the workflow works fine.
Based on SWWWIHEAD, the user ADSUSER(from WebDynpro) is the creator and the last one who updated the workflow instance.

I have tried running the BAPI through Automation Tools which we have. That is Process Runner.
With the help of this I was Approving the WorkFlow. But as i found the issue, so for trouble schooting this i had manually checked in SAP though SE37 t-code.

Workflow: User Decision Activity doesn't work

URGENT!!!
I've created a User Decision Activity but it doesn't work.
It sends a message to SBWP but there the user hit APROVE OR REJECT, and instead it work, it simply show another screen with only a button labelad "Cancel and keep work item in inblox".
It simplily doesn't folow.
I've created an method that executes a standard function 'EDITOR_TABLE' that call a screen to the user put a description text for the rejection. It's market 'Advance with dialog'.

Your patch level seems to be OK.
pls. try the declaration as 'Data: uid like syst-uname' or you could try directly assigning the sy-uname.
Try to debug and see the content of the sy-uname, when it hits this code.

Loading XML based on User Decision

Hello-
I am working on a Flash project that involves an intro movie,
which - when done - leads to a "decision" screen where the user
chooses what kind of "visitor" they are. In other words, an intro
movie will play and then lead to a screen with three choices: "I am
this", "I am this", or "I am this".
No matter what they choose, the area and graphics they are
taken to is the same (a flash map with rollover content pop-ups).
But, based on what kind of user they selected in the previous
screen, the content will vary slightly on this map. I could just
have three scenes for the three different users using the same
graphics and map (but with different content in each), but that
seems to be a waste. Is there a way to have the Flash map appear
with the correct content based on the user decision from the
previous screen?
An example would be this:
User A watches the intro movie and decides they are "Visitor
A". They click on that button and are taken to the Flash map with
their customized content (hopefully loaded via XML). User B watches
the same intro movie, but this time chooses "User B". They are
taken to the same map and area (within the same scene or clip), but
contains slightly different content.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Long list of user decisions

Hi all,
I need to send a work item for choosing one of a long list of purchasing groups (about 90) and I don't know if
the only solution is a user decision with the same number of buttons or it's possible to use a dropdown list or something similar. I need to save the corresponding code of PG and use it after in a function module.

Hi,
Definitely don't do this with a user decision.
It's much better to let an ABAP person create a simple screen in which you select a purchasing group (like in search helps), then create a method for this abap in appropriate Business Object and then create a task for that method.
Before you make this, isn't there an existing method to use for selecting purchasing groups?

PR Release with user decision

I have done PR Release WorkFlow and it is working fine and i am also using RSWUWFML2 program to send the workitem to external mail so that on clicking the shortcut it takes to the release screen. But they further need an enhancement of only button (like user decision ).
How can i replace PR release screen with user decision step type . In user decision i am not able to pass release code in standard activity.
1) Release
2) cancel
3) Reset

If I'm right, you are trying to replace the approval activity with a std decision step. If yes, then there is no need to pass on the release code to this decision step, the rel code is passed on to the WF as std, now once the user clicks on approve, the approve branch will become effective now add a bck grd activity to release the PR using std FM's. similarly apply for the other branches.

While did the QA32 to use the user decision to realse the inspection lot for the GRIR material.
the ud code and code group is not populated in the fields.
what shall we do for this. in customize we did all the setting for the ud code and code group.

Go to SPRO- QM - Quality Inspection - Mentain Insp.Type - Details check there you assigned UD Selected set or not...
