Dear Team,
In QM02 Quality Notification , in comment entry , long texts we are unable to paste table formats from other applications like spread sheet, docs. etc.
Can we able to change the formats?

I think this is more a basis issue that application specific.
The Long text of notifications was designed for text only! Why do you believe that a table can be displayed?
I cannot imagine that there is a solution for your question.

I was trying to get the Notification long text from QM02 transaction into my script.So,the client requirement was not to get the auto generated lof text.I have tried if it is stored in any table but could not find it.If I write the include statement with all the parameters,I am getting the log also displayed in the output.Please suggest me what to do? Text upload using Open Office

Hi All ! earlier I was using Microsoft Excel to upload text in SAP (FM - 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP'). It was absolutely fine. but, now I wan't to upload text using Open Office excel. i have saved the fle with .xls extension, but it is giving me error. Please advice how to upload text using Open Office excel.

Polish letters not displayed correctly in quality notification long text

Hello,
in quality notification: when trying to write text in Polish language, some non-english letters are displayed incorectly.
I did not find possibility to change the text language as in e.g. sales order texts. Using PL as login language solves the situation if MS Word view of long text is opened but not if text displayed in notification in "SAP view". Anyway different login language is not desired solution.
Any help is appreciated

2.5.2 is over 5 years old now and there are many improvements and bug fixes for language support in newer versions.

Long Text getting truncated in IW32

We are using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to createa orders with long text.
When reviewing the long text in the Office integration screen, We can see that all text is there.
If, a user modifies the long text in the long text window of IW32, any text that does not display is lost when the order is saved
If a user modifies teh long text in the office integartion screen, no text is lost.
Any help on the cause and how to prevent this would be appreciated.

text gets truncated in print preview itself.
i put breakpoint in se38 and in sapscript.
in se38 the variable shows full text, but in sapscript, it gets truncated.

How Can I Locate The Gimp + Open Office After Install

I am a fairly new Mac user so please make your reply easy to follow. I am running Panther 10.3.9 on a G3/400, 320 megs, dsl internet. I have just installed The Gimp, a free open source image manipulation program, the Phoyoshop alternative + Open Office, the free open source Microsoft Office alternative. Both installs took place within the X11 framework but now I cannot locate them. Where have they gone? For example, when I right click on a .jpeg file, then click "open with", The Gimp is not even in the list although I want it to be my main photo program. The same when I right click on a text file, Open Office is not on the list. I just want to put a program icon for both programs on the desktop for easy access. Thanks, Ken.

Unfortunately you are using an old version of OS X, and older versions of Gimp or OO are not as well refined as they now are.
If you are using 10.3.9 you might try Seashore which is not as complete as Gimp, but does not require X11 and is also Open Source. PixelMator is another decent image editor but it is shareware as is Acorn. Photoshop Elements is Adobe's low cost alternative to Photoshop. Find demos and downloads at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
NeoOffice Aqua 3.0 is another application like Open Office that will run on a PPC without X11, but requires Tiger. The earlier version that will run on Panther is version 2.2.5. Look for these at www.neooffice.org.
All of these applications will run slower on PPC machines than on Intel machines. There's really little you can do about it. If you need something relatively fast but with fewer features you can use AppleWorks.

How can i paste text from a web site to an open office document as rtf?

i'm running firefox under windows 7. i'm unable to copy text from web pages to the clipboard as rtf formatted data. tried pasting into ms wordpad and open office 3.3 writer. ie allows pasting as rtf text, but i'd prefer using firefox. why is rtf not an available format?

Our client is having one requirement. Their requirement is like this,
If there is any open PR, PO, contract etc. for a material , system should not allow to change the long text of the material.
Is there any way out. Any user exit or BADi, which will trigger on the long text change of material master then please let me know.

Open iview url in WDA main view (below some long text)

Hi Experts,
My WDA first page is divided into 2 parts top & bottom.
The top will have some text and bottom will have a display areas to display the portal iview. (Display means open iview directly on opening the first page of the application without any action)
Eg: when you open the WDA in IE it will display some text in top & google webiste opened below that long text.
I tried putting the google url in iframe source in main view but it didnt displayed it. only a blank area came displayed which was of iframe size.
Hope i explained my requirement.

Hi Nikhil,
Your requirement is clear, but displaying google page where did you write the code.
Write your code in the View or component controller->WDINIT method, then first this method will display without any action.
In the Layout you can divide into two parts one is for text another one is for the google site display.
Let me know if you are not able to fix the issue still...send me the code I will let you know where is an issue.

When I try to access my Microsoft Office for MAC (2004 edition) files I am getting a message "can't open Office because Power PC applications are no longer supported. How can I access all of my save Word documents? I just want to be able to retrieve all of my documents that were in Microsoft Office for Mac (2004). If I purchase the newest version of MS office for Mac from Apple will I be able to retrieve my old documents?

Right click your document, hover over "Open with..." and then click "Other".
Find TextEdit and click "Open".
TextEdit will then do it's best to open your document.
If you have iLife, do the same but instead of opening with TextEdit open with Numbers, Pages, Keynote, e.t.c.

How to open "change long text" editor on a button click

Hi,
I have 4 long text boxes alligned vertically and a button beside them on a screen.
My client has the following requirement:
-- When this button is clicked, a "change long text" editor should open, the user will make his changes here and when back button is clicked, all the information in the editor should get transferred to the 4 text boxes.
(the functionality should to similar to the big custom control box and the "Create Text" button beside it (in the Subject block) in IW52 transaction except that the custom control should be replaced with the 4 Text boxes).
Please help, How could I achieve this?

Cheacked the SAP given programs / pakages and solved the problem.
