Qmaster Suddenly Stopped Working... why?!?!

Ok.. So I set up Qmaster yesterday to work across three macs.... two MBPs and one MacPro as the controller.
Was working beautifully until this afternoon. Not sure what has changed, but now I can't set up the cluster in Qadministrator.
I just did a full reinstall of OSX and FCS on the MacPro plus all updates through software update... still not working... not sure how much fresher I could get.
I started by trying to create a cluster with just the mac pro as the controller but nothing else, allowing the 8 cores to be used.... when I click apply, a second cluster shows up in the top left panel of QA... when I exit and go to compressor, neither the new mystery cluster or the cluster I created appear as options.
When I go back to QA, the cluster is still there, but now it requires a mystery password to access. I try my system password, but that's not it.... and I didn't create a password when I set it up.
Seriously annoyed at having just spent about 5 hours between trouble shooting and a full reinstall of the OS.
Any ideas???

All three systems running FCP 6.05, OSX 10.5.6, latest version of QT.

TS1363 I pod suddenly stopped working, why?

I recently had my i pod playing through a port in my dads car, it has been used for this purpose before, when suddenly in the middle of the first song i played, it started to make a juddering noise, so i unplugged it and discoverd that the screen had frozen, so i reset my ipod, and it did not turn back on, nor has it done so since. Why has this happened and what can I do to fix it, before taking it into a shop.

mabye it was because it was in the sun of was around a lot of heat. that can really damage your ipod. if thats why, leave it unplug in some shade for about 10 mins, and then wiggle the hold button. then, turn it on and check if it works.

Why has my 8x8 desktop app on my Macbook Pro running OS X Yosimite 10.10.1 suddenly stopped working while the app on my iPhone and the online service both work fine? Is this because of some recent software update by Apple? 8x8 support acknowledges issues with no current work-arounds? The 8x8 desktop app worked until early December, then quit. I've deleted and re-downloaded the app, but no difference.

The solution is :
1. Delete iPhone configuration utility. Just drop it to the trash
2. Run
sudo rm -rf /private/var/db/receipts/com.apple.pkg.iPhoneConfigurationUtility.*
rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iPhoneConfigurationUtility.plist*
3. Delete the whole folder: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext
4. Reinstall iTunes (just over the previous one)
5. Restart

Do you get sound on any apps e.g. Music and Videos but not others ? If you do then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. We can't know. You have not told us what exactly the problem is. If there are any warnings, you need to provide them along with other info like the crash logs. If not you have to explain the situation in more detail. Just saying that it doesn't work anymore is not particularly useful.

Why has my licence key for cs6 suddenly stopped working

I used to be able to video and audio chat with my parents, but it suddenly stopped working. They use AIM.
I get the "There was a communication error during your chat" message come up when I try to connect to their video chat requests. I spent a couple hours reading the old posts on this issue, but nothing seems to work for me. Thanks to anyone who can help me -- my parents in Illinois want to be able to see their grandbaby!

Ok,
Most routing devices have ports that are open (1 - 1024) that allow you to use Web Browser and Mail apps without any set up.
Certain apps need other ports open or allowed as thy are normally closed (1024 - 65535)
Now there are several ways to open these ports.
One method is called Port Forwarding and points the ports you list to one IP on your LAN (The one your computer is getting/using)
Now if the routing device is left doing DHCP this IP can change now and then meaning the Port Forwarding is no longer pointing to the Computer (IP).
If your computer (or your parents in this case) is left on all the time it tends to keep the IP as the Lease as it is called is renewed.
However if the computer is Off for longer than the lease time It will get a new IP
The thing to do is check the routing device's Settings.
This site lists many devices.
If yours is there click on it.
On the next page Click on iChat
You will now see the Default Access Info (And the Port Forwarding info)
DO NOT DO the Port Forwarding but check the settings.
If it does have Port Forwarding set up check the IP it lists as going to matches the one you see in System Preferences > Network for your computer.
AS you say your parents were away for a time I suspect it may be their end.

Satellite L300 suddenly stopped working - new motherboard needed

My Sat L300 suddenly stopped working the other day.
It kept freezing to start with, then nothing at all. So, I kill-disked the HDD and tried to re-install Windows (XP).
During the install it threw up a message that some internal components had been incorrectly installed and needed to be reinstalled.
I was told to remove the memory cards and re-seat them.
That did not work. I thought that perhaps the HDD was damaged, so I fitted a new one, and started to reinstall Windows.
Once again, same message. One of my colleagues at work suggested that the Motherboard was probably U/S.
So I have been trawling the .net to find a replacement. Laptop out of warranty! I am told that some other serial numbered motherboards will work with this laptop. Don't really want to get a motherboard only to find its never going to work! My unit has an SPS number of: V000138330.
I am being offered one with an SPS of: V000138390.
Any ideas? Will this one work?
And if it does, will it give me the functionality that I used to enjoy?!
Sorry for the long sob story.
Any advice gratefully accepted.

Sorry but can you tell us more about your notebook? which model do you have exactly (L300-xxx)?
Do you have European model?
Has your notebook valid warranty?
Maybe I have misunderstood something but why you want to exchange mainboard if the warranty is probably still valid?
