QoS in RFC to ABAP Proxy

Hi,
Could some one please tell me, where can i maintian QoS (EOIO) in RFC to ABAP Proxy scenario?
I have to make sure, the data goes in order.

1. The biggest advantage of the proxy is that it always by passes the Adapter Engine and will directly interact with the application system and Integration engine - so it will and should give us a better performance.
2. Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP.
RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa.
3. ABAP proxies supports two different protocols; XI and Web Services
4. Most important is that they can be used for both synchronous and asynchronous communication .
RFC/BAPI is basically only intended for Synchronous comm. which asks much more system resources from your XI system.
5. Proxies are used when you have large chunks of data coming in and that too if its unstructured, so if it comes from a SAP system we go for a ABAP proxy, if its from a non sap system, we take a java proxy.
For abap proxy we may use a report to send a proxy data to sap xi.
6. EOIO quality of service can be obtained with Proxies and not with RFC/BAPI.
RFC/BAPI support BE( Best Effort ) when used synchronously.

What is the best way(R3 Side) for standardization?
R3 <-> Legacy.
I've read all related article on sdn, but i am not still clear on which best way RFC or ABAP Proxy or IDOC in real life.

Ogawa,
There are advantages / disadvantages for RFC / Proxies / Idocs. So if I am in your position depending upon the requirement I will choose one. Some of the differences are:
RFC and Proxy:
RFC/BAPI has its own overhead of function call.
Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP .RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa. So XML conversion is required.
ABAP Proxies uses Webservice and Http Protocols.
If you use ABAP Proxy , you can reduce the overhead calling the function again and again.
Proxy and Idoc:
IDOC : After recieving the strucutred data It processes it using a Function Module associated with it.
Proxy : Proxy is a structure where there is no processing function module associated. You need to explicitly write the Business Logic/Call the subroutines here
This is my absolutely my view. Another guy has his own response. So first go through your requirements and then you can decide for what to go.

ABAP Proxy Structure

Hi,
I have SAP server at sender side, XI is my middleware and two 3rd partyservers on the receiver side.
So,from SAP side data comes through proxy,I would generate a structure which contains the fields required to send the data to both the receivers.But few fields would used to send the data to one server and some fields to another server.
So, once the data is filled,there would be a segreation process internally writeen in proxy to segregate the data.
So, Now can i use the same structure for all the proxies i generate to send the data or should I generate different structures for each and every interface.

Proxies are nothing but a mechanism to shift the application logic from the XI server onto the sender or reciever system so as to reduce the effort on the side of XI.Depending upon where the proxies are generated ,it is differentiated as client proxy ( sender ) and server proxy ( receiver ) .In R3 system having WAS 6.2 and above its already has an inbuilt small IE so the proxy generation is favoured and possilbe,for more on this please go thru the following links
Proxies: are interfaces which will get executed in the application system. They can be created only in the system from message interfaces using the proxy generation functions.

The literal definition of a proxy is an object / process authorized to act for another; an agent or a substitute. In simpler terms, proxies in the XI context are objects used to encapsulate the creation (from a sender system) or parsing of XML (at a receiver system) as well as the communication with the relevant runtime components required to send or receive those messages. The Proxy Runtime controls these objects / processes, and can itself be controlled by the applications it communicates with.
The Proxy currently has the following components available:

File/FTP to ABAP Proxy (file as attachment)

I have the following scenario: File/FTP -> XI -> ABAP Proxy but not the normal case. What I need is the picked file as attachment and the file name. I hope this is possible.

I have no idea where I have to start. How I should define the sender and receiver message interface? How I have to configure the sender file/ftp adapter?
I'm using PI 7.1 SP 7.

ABAP Proxy Attachment

Hi All,
I had created an ABAP proxy which sends an XML message along with an attachment(PDF). The PDF is written to the application server first (just to double check the correctness of the file) and then the same file is sent to the XI as an attachment. But when i download it from the SXMB_MONI to the local system, it is saying that the file may be corrupted or might be a poblem with the decoding. i had gone through the following weblog.

      APPEND attachment TO attachments.
      attachment_protocol->set_attachments( attachments ).
Can anyone please help me out in resolving the issue.

ABAP proxy related issue

i working with ABAP proxy to file scenario. the requirement for this scenario is we are fetching data from data base to internal table then using that table we have to write code and send data to xi. can give me past response that how to write code using internal table. i want only code related internal table not total code.

Hi Sai komala,
After genrating the Proxy, you can view the calss & structures genrated by proxy.You need to create an object with refrence of Class and to be create workareas for your Message type and Data type strucutres. Create an Internal table with your desired structure and do the validations as per your mapping rules.After completion of your all validations you need to populate your final internal table data to the structure of message type and call the execute asynchronous method.

TO debug u r proxy code, just like your normal R3 report program. put a breakpoint and execute the program , you can view the debugging of your proxy.

I have come across one client requirment where he needs to send the txt/pdf file as an attachment from R/3, currently that interface is using the ABAP Proxy, is there any idea about How to send the attachments via ABAP Proxy?
