QoS Problem - Outbound Ethernet Marcation

Hi all,
I have a problem with QoS.
Everytime a voice packet go outbound through an Ethernet interface the router remove the DSCP marcation 46 (EF) and marks as 0. Serial interfaces work fine.
I've tried with different IOS versions but the problem is the same.
If anyone has faced this problem before, please let'me know what IOS version this QoS configuration work.
Cheers ///
Neirival de Sousa (Brazil/Angola)

Hi,
can yo be more specific about your hardware/software and general setup?
Also one more thing: are you sure it happens outbound? Could it be that a LAN switch is receiving the frame/IP packet and the default port settings for Catalysts kick in? QoS wise all LAN ports on the Catalyst switches are untrusted, thus any marking will be set to 0 (best effort), when received on such a port. You need to issue a "mls trust ..." command on each port, where markings should be passed unchanged. The "..." is "cos" or "dscp" and depends on hardware/IOS.
Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.
Regards, Martin

Seem not related to this bug as ASR only suspended policy without reboot.

  • Problem with ethernet port

So I have a wierd problem.
Sometimes the ethernet port is working, sometimes not.
I've tested the ethernet cable and it works perfect with other computerS.
I've tested my macbook pro with other ethernet cables and the problem still occurs.
I've tested the ethernet plug (in the wall) and it works pefect with other computerS.
So only last potential problem : the ethernet plug / card IN my macbook pro.
It is a 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 8 Gb of 1067 Mhz DDR3 RAM, and OS X 10.7.4.
The problem is just random... sometime it works, sometime it doesn't... sometimes it works, and stop working... sometimes it works for days without problems... sometimes it doesn't work for days, with nothing to do.
Can anyone help? I don't think I'm on the warranty anymore... so before I go drop my MBP at an Apple Store, I want to make sure I've tryed everything.
Especially for the price I paid for this MBP, can't believe I'm hustling with such a basic feature......
    THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!

I've used the reset chache solution with mixed success. I finally tripped over something that actually works every time.  The "secret" seems to be getting the apply button active when you are on the "location" where the ethernet connection is configured.  Here is what I did.
move the ethernet connection configuration to another "location" within network preferences.  I called mine Home Wired.
When the cable disconnected situation occurs, switch to the location that has wireless and enable wireless. Now turn it back off.
Switch to the wired location and highlight the wired configuration and click apply.  It goes through the steps of acquiring an IP and then you are connected.
    Easy peezy

  • Middleware problem -Outbound queue is stuck in SAP R/3 system with message

    Hi Middleware gurus ,
We are stuck with a serious issue . We are trying to download Business partners from SAP R/3 4.6c system to SAP CRM 5.2 system using CRM Middleware
Previously we did a successful Initial download of 2 Business partners from SAP R/3 to CRM . Their BP numbers in CRM are 001 and 002 . The Delta load is working fine for the both the BPs which are already downloaded
Now , the real problem is when we are trying to download a new Business partner . When we set the Filter ( BP no 003 ) in MW adaptor object CUSTOMER_MAIN and start the Initial load again , we see that the Outbound queue is getting stuck with message “STOP” .
There are two queues generated in SAP R/3 system with names “MASS_CRM_CUSTOME” and “R3AD_CUSTOME” . The status for both the queues is “STOP” and when go for details it mentions “sapsuck ..SAPMSSY1 “ -Message no. SR 053.
Even we checked the txn SMW01, the Bdocs message is "Recived ( Intermediate state) " for Bdoc type BUPA_MAIN.
We really don’t as to why the Initial load worked fine with 2 BPs  and later when want to do more BP Initial Load the Outbound queue is getting stuck
Also , by unlocking the 2nd queue “R3AD_CUSTOME” we are able to release it , but the first queue “MASS_CRM_CUSTOME*” is stuck
    Please help us urgently

Hi Praveen and other Middleware gurus,
We checked on this . Actually the RFC is used for connecting to SAP R/3 system.
We also raised an OSS message on this and found a reply that in transaction CRMM_BUPA_MAP, we can map the required BP . But the SAP support guy recived an error received the error:
An RFC link is not maintained in the Middleware
    Message no. CRM_BUPA_MAPPING051
We have set the RFC link , but still the problem continues!!!
    Please help further..

  • Z77A-GD65 Problems with Ethernet (Intel 82579V) Code 10 and 55 error

it is just a day with disaster. I bought Z77A-GD65 yesterday, and now it almost driver me crazy , i have two most famous problem of the board ,the CODE10 and ERROR 55!!!
after i bought this board to home ,i spend few hour to figure out the reason why the system can not be booted.
the DIMM SLOT 3&4 of my board is malfunction,no matter what combination i use (1&3,2&3, 3&4...etc),but it works for 1 and 2(i have 4 ram sticks, all of them is fine)
i do upgrade to BIOS 10.5(thx god ,i have two computer ,otherwise i cant even do it because of following issue)
after i solve the problem by only plug in 2 ram (DIMM1&2), succeed to boot up, a new problem occurred to me ,the CODE10!
latest driver , clean system install ,cmos cleaned, does not help.
i have read this thread for code10
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=158591.msg1167303#msg1167303
    and  for error55
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=158224.0
it seems the best way to solve it is RMA.
I notice that there is an Authorized Motherboard Repair Center (East Coast):
    361 Alden Road
    Markham, Ontario, L3R 3L
i live in Toronto, can i just go there and give the board to them  to fix it or i can only mail it?
If i need to mail it ,what should i do?

Code 10 means the device cannot start. You have the right driver for the Intel 82579V is shorted by either a motherboard screw or a raiser under it. The ethernet adapter has lights which light up id driver is installed (even though code 10 is in effect).
Solution: Remove 1 or 2 motherboard screws and turn the pc on. Repeat until you find out which screw caused the issue. For me it was the screw closest to the ethernet controller.
The wa i fixed it was I was used a plastic washer and I was still able to have the motherboard screw in and at the same time not get code 10 anymore and my Intel 82579V worked fine since.

  • Windows 7 Home Sharing Problem (wireless/ Ethernet)

    Hello
I spent a few days trying to figure out why home sharing didn't work. I've got 2 windows 7 pc. So comptuer A can detect computer B iTunes library but computer B cannot detect computer A library although the settings such as allow sharing on iTunes preferences are all checked.
Comptuer A was connected using ethernet cable and computer B was using wireless. Both are desktop at different location of the house connected to the same network.
So when I insert an wireless adaptor to Comptuer A and conects it wirelessly to my router, the homesharing appears. Whereas when i connect it with an ethernet cable, it fails.
Is there anyway to troubleshoot this issue?
    Thanks

I was able to resolve my issue. Here's how:
Did a lot of research on this. I have a Linksys WRT120N router where the only device not on Wifi was my Windows 7 PC (it was plugged in with an Ethernet cable while everything else was on Wifi). Having fiddled with the router settings to no avail, I went out and bought a Wireless USB adapter to put the Windows 7 PC on Wifi.
When I set that up, I could now see my Windows 7 library on the Apple TVs. However, when I went into the library, it was stuck on "Loading Library" in perpetuity.
I looked in my list of Windows services running (Start -> Control Panel -> Search for "Services") and noticed that, even though I disabled the Windows Firewall in the System and Security settings, the Windows Firewall service was still running. I disabled the service (right click -> properties) and restarted the computer. Voila, it works now.
It is possible that the problem was the Windows Firewall service (not the Wireless), but I've read countless posts where people had issues with the devices being on wired and Wifi and not seeing each other. As such, I haven't (and don't plan to) tested it back with just the Ethernet cable. If you're having my issue, you can try that first.
I should also note that when this wasn't working, I was also unable to use my iPhone to pair as a remote with iTunes. It would pair but the iPhone would be stuck in "Looking for" when I tried to control the library. This is now also fixed after doing the above.

Windows 8 was upgraded to Windows 8.1 Upgrade on a Flex 15.
The first time I tried to do the upgrade, I had enough problems that I re-installed from a Windows 8.1 image.  All went well and all the drivers work except the Ethernet.  The upgrade was relatively painless if you ignore the necessary reboots.
The latest Ethernet driver was downloaded from Lenovo and it was upgraded through Device Manager to version 8.26.218.201
In spite of Device Manager saying the Realtek ethernet adapter is working, no network is recognized by Networks and Sharing Centrewith when an ethernent cable is plugged into the Flex 15 i.  The cable is good and has been checked by way of another computer.
I have previously used the hard-wired ethernet once and it worked but I do not remember where the laptop stood during the pgrade path.
This may be a hardware problem which will require mailing the laptop for the repair, or it may be a software / dirver issue.
If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.  The only other thing I can do is reistall from scratch to confirm it is a hardware problem.
    With thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

OK  So I'm not the smartest cookie in the cookie jar.
The Ethernet worked all along, but I inserted the ethernet cable UP-SIDE-DOWN.  The Flex 15 has a 1/2 size ethernet female plug and it has a small cover which flips down.  This is to allow the adapter in a thin shell
The male end can be plugged in upsidedown unlike a normal-sized ethernet female.  It goes in, but does not click.  So a word to the wise ... the plastic prong of the male end is on the bottom.

  • Problems with Ethernet controller and PCI device driver on Satellite L30-10X

    Hellow!
Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Russia.
Just few days ago I bought Satellite L30-10X with W Vista on board. My opinion, that this OS does't very good on this computer, so I install W XP.
I have some problems with drivers. At first, I dont know what model I have:PSL30 or PSL33? I download all drivers for both models. But, after installation, computer doen't find drivers for Ethernet controller and PCI device...

    Hi
Satellite L30-10X belongs to the PSL33E series. This number can be found on the label placed on the bottom of the unit!
You have to choose this number from the driver download form to get the compatible XP drivers.
I dont know why you are not able to install the LAN driver. Ive got the same notebook with Vista and Ive installed the XP and all drivers run fine.
I assume you have installed the drivers in wrong order. Please take the look in the Toshiba installation instruction txt file. In this order you have to install the driver! Its important.
I think you should install the XP again to ensure the clean registry and then download and install the compatible XP drivers like mentioned in the installation instruction file.
    Good luck

  • Problem with ethernet

I had a connect with 2 computers - pc and macbook. I often switched cable between them and one day connect on macbook disappeared and it still disappears. But connect on pc is ok and I don't know what is a problem - or it's a bad cable, or it's a bad ethernet-adapter. Does anybody know what I must doing?
p.s. sorry with english, I don't know it very good

But I haven't a modem - just a cable, which plugs into ethernet port. And macbook says that cable isn't plugged in, but it can't be true!! Later all was ok and I had a good connect!

  • E900 QoS problem

I'm trying to configure the router's QoS but I'm not succeeding . I put the game League of Legends as a high priority , but as soon as I turn on the TV with Net Flix the game connection is bad . My questions are as follows - DHCP is not done by the router , but the modem. This would prevent the operation of the QoS ? - QoS just work for WAN connection? Because i'm doing the connection on the ethernet port. - I need to put the TV or the Net Flix as low priority in QoS ? Below modem settings

Thanks for the quick return.Allow me to elaborate : - My internet is 10mb / s- The Internet comes via cable modem / router Thomson. This router is doing DHCP and sharing the internet via ethernet port to the E900 router.- I tried some settings to share the Internet via WAN without success . Thomson Modem configurations   E900  Modem Thomson

  • Z77A-GD65 Problems with Ethernet (Intel 82579V) Code 10

    Hi,
on a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit i cannot make the Ethernet port on the motherboard work. It installs fine, but when i check device manager i see this message:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I downloaded the latest driver, but still no change.
Looking in device manager, i noticed that the driver Windows had selected was Intel 82579LM, so i reinstalled the driver, and forced 82579V driver, but still no change. I assumed this must be a defect motherboard, so i rma'd it, and got a new one....with the same problem!!!
So any ideas with to do ?

    Hello kaizerman,
    Are you in the US?
Can you send the motherboard to me directly for analysis?
If needed, I will replace the board for you through RMA service.
Please email me at [email protected] but be sure to put my name in the subject field and your board model so it will come to me correctly.
    Sincerely,
    Warner
    Hi Warner

  • QoS probleme

    Hi everyone,
I've got a probleme. I red the cisco QoS book, but it doesn't work for me.
I want to do what so many others do, reserve bandwitdh for some specific trafic. But if I test the config, every flow gets the same bandwidth.
I transmit from 2 pc's with a matching ip and a not matching ip each 100MB file. Teracopy shows me the bandwitdh of each 1,3 MB/s and if I look to the folder, the files arrive nearly at the same time.

I fall in dispair, please help.

I've got a WAN connection, which is connected via FastEthernet to the router. The ISP garantees 20 mbit/s. There are 2 IPs and 1 Subnet that got low prior. So I created a Class that "Not" matches that Accessgroup. The remaining traffic should become a minimum of 70% of the bandwidth.
If I understand you, I only get congestion if i would use the physical interface speed (100mbit/s) and only in this case I can use the bandwidth comands.
But would work a config like this?:
    Policy-Map cbwfq
        Class not-it-intern
          Bandwidth percent 70
    Policy-Map police-all
        Class class-default
          police cir 20000000
          service-policy cbwfq
    interface FastEthernet0/1
    description # 20 MBit #
    bandwidth 20000
    ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
    service-policy output police-all
    ip route-cache flow
    no ip mroute-cache
    duplex auto
    speed auto
I don't want to use shaping, thats the currently way how I limit the traffic for the sources of the ACL(it-intern). But shaping stresses the router a little bit too much and how I said, I dont want to limit I want to garantee a minimum of traffic.
By the way, thanks a lot for your help until now.
