Qosmio DX735-D3660 won't turn on

Hi,
I bought a brand new Toshiba DX735-D3660 All In One from the States and got it sent to Australia, it arrived last night and I went to turn it on but it simply comes up with "PC" then "No Signal".
I have the Power Cord connected to an adapter as it says the input can handle up to 240V (AUS Output level). I had a tech guy come look at it today and he tested the Volts and they came up as 19V and then dropped out, he said the solution was to go and buy a new AC Adapter.
I did, and it still hasn't solved the problem.
The new AC Adapter has an output of 19V and a max of 7.5A, so it should be fine.
It is still coming up with "PC" then "No Signal", the power light is amber then flashes white once turned on then goes back to amber. There is no sound coming from the computer so it doesn't appear to be starting at all.
Any solutions would be great!
Thanks
Lach

Usually the AC adaptors are made for international usage, mean that the same AC adaptor should work world wide. The power input is mostly 100-240V
In some cases you will need a adapter to plug the power cord into the wall socket but this depends on the country or region
In your case it does not seems to be an AC adaptor issue since the power light flashes.
Possibly the hardware is affected so I think an technician should check this you could also call the dealer to get an replacement.
Good luck

  • Qosmio G50-12F won't turn on

    I got a Qosmio G50-12f
    n : PQG55E-04C02YFR
The problem is: when I plug on the dc power I got a white light on the dc plug picture and a orange light on the battery picture.
When I want to power on the laptop, the white light turn off 1 second (maybe) and get back to initial position and the light of the battery turn off definitely.
I tried to find answers on the web. All I find is that maybe due to power: dc jack connector or power cable (the one which goes from the dc in jack to the motherboard or the battery power board under the mouse pad ..
    Well Im lost
Anyone has answer? I want to repair it on my own.
    Thank you

    Hi
This does not look good dude
Im afraid that your motherboard could be faulty.
The battery indicator flashes orange because of charging.
If the battery indicator would be blue (or green), then this would mean that the battery is fully charged.
What you can do is to remove one of the memory modules and try to boot up the unit using one module in each slot
Sometimes faulty RAM prevent the notebook from booting.
However, such notebook symptoms are mostly related to serious hardware issues and it would be advisable to get in contact with an notebook technician who could test the hardware for malfunction

  • After overheating my Qosmio X870 won't turn on

    Hi guys
I need some help. I was playing a game on my Toshiba Qosmio X870 when it overheated, it had good ventilation and now it won't turn on, there's no battery light so I'm not sure if the AC power has blown, the battery has blown or something the the laptop has fried.
    Can some one help please?
    Thank you

    Hi
In my opinion its hardware related problem.
Such hardware malfunction can be solved by Toshiba authorized service technician only.
I would recommend you to get in contact with Toshiba ASP available in your country in order to check the notebook and to replace the faulty part.

  • Qosmio F60 won't turn on

    Hi,
please forgive the simplicity of this question but I'm not that knowledgable with computers.
I have a qosmio f60 and it won't turn on. I'm not sure if the battery is flat/dead or if its the adaptor.
Only two icon lights are on on the actual laptop - the plug icon and the battery icon. I have tried plugging into different electricity sockets and also ensuring the leads are plugged into the adapter.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

    > This must mean the battery's dead right?
Start notebook and when OS is fully loaded put battery in place again. Is battery recognized properly? Will battery be loaded properly?
Load battery and try to start notebook with battery power supply only. Test it a bit.

  • Qosmio X505-870 - Can't turn off and nothing on monitor

I wasn't doing anything particularly interesting when my computer just shuts off randomly. I pressed the power button to turn it back on, I can hear the fan and the machine going but nothing appears on the monitor. I pressed and held the power button to turn it back off and try again, it won't turn off. It's stuck with the computer on but a blank screen.
Not sure what to do, I can't turn it off, and it isn't doing anything.
Might try to put the recovery discs in to see if it does anything but I'm worried about files I have saved on the desktop (stupidly)

    Hi colhyena,
I agree with Akuma. The same instructions posted by Akuma I found here:
[Which steps should be followed if your Toshiba notebook doesn't start?|http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=21]
So thats everything what you can do and if its not working you need professional help from an authorized service provider.
Qosmio X505 is newer notebook model so probably yours is still under warranty. In this case the repair is for free and you dont have to pay something. :)

  • K7N2 Delta ILSR won't turn off, just restarts

K7N2 Delta ILSR won't turn off, just restarts.  Every time I click on "Turn off computer" in Windows XP, it shuts down, but restarts again. Could this be OS related, or perhaps Bios related. My other machine, almost identical to this one, except that the other machine has BIOS rev 7.6 and this one 7.2.

PSUs seem to be yr favorite subject, but I'm afraid this time it's software. I experimented some more as the problem only occured after installing the Nvidia drivers. Comparing the system settings in the device manager before installing drivers and after installing them, reveils that the problem shows up when AGP HOST TO PCI BRIDGE is installed. When killing this item the PC shuts off properly. Unfortunately when turning back on, Windows automatically reinstalls the PCI bridge and I have the problem again. LOOKS LIKE A MSI SOFTWARE PROBLEM !
By the way I have a PCI graphics board and not AGP in the failing PC (the good one has AGP graphics).
    Now what?

  • [Help]iPhone 5s screen won't turn on / won't play sounds

    Hello, my name is Bryan.
I've got a problem with my iPhone 5s. I opened my iPhone to fix an issue with the home button (Watched a guide on youtube on how to achieve this), and I connected everything as it is supposed to go, my home button is working but now my screen won't turn on or the phone won't play any sounds. I know the phone it's on because I can connect it to the computer and the computer recognizes it. Also, I tried calling it, and it rings on the phone I am calling from, but my iPhone simply won't play any sounds...
I am also sure the phone is not in DFU mode.
    Any help?
    Thanks in advance,
    - Bryan

It won't even vibrate or do anything, but it's on.

  • My iPhone 5 won't turn on, the screen just stays black!

My iPhone 5 won't turn on I have held the power button to see if it's dead or not and it doesn't seem to change the screen it just black I thought the battery could of died or something similar it only happened about 2 hours ago please help!

    Hey Thermali,
Thanks for the question, and great troubleshooting so far. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    - Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    - Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
    Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
    - Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    - After at least 15 minutes, if:
                   - The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
                   - The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
                   - Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    - If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
                   - If the display turns on, go to step 4.
                   - If the display remains black, go to next step.
    - Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to
restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    - If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

See Here for  >  Frozen or unresponsive iPhone
Try this First... No Data will be Lost...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

  • My Iphone 5 won't TURN on or OFF it won't do anything it's just showing the Apple logo the WHOLE time Please help

  • My iphone 5 won't turn on but when plugged into power source it keeps showing apple logo?

My iPhone 5 won't turn on at all and then when I plug it into a power source either into a plug socket or into my laptop with the USB cable it keeps showing start up screen with apple logo over and over again on a loop.
I have tried holding the top and front button together, this didn't work. I have also tried connecting to my laptop and following the reboot steps that I found on another discussion forum. Neither worked for me. The phone just won't reboot and it keeps continuing to loop the apple logo screen over and over without me touching anything.
The iPhone won't even connect to itunes and so itunes seems to not recognise my phone because its not even turning on (just continually apple logo screen appears for 5 seconds, goes to black screen and then repeats).
I don't know what is happening to it! Can anyone help? Is it a fault with the hardware or have I dont something to it? The next appointment at the genius bar for me is monday so I'm going to keep looking for any more recent ones until then but I really need to get it sorted before then so if anyone can help that would be great!
    Thanks

Try a reset when your iPhone is plugged into the charger as you say it does not respond when not plugged in...
Press and hold the Home and On/Off buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo, then release.  This may take up to 10 seconds.  This is the equivalent of a re-boot and you will not lose any data.
See if it will charge after this.
