You can order all Toshiba CDs from the Toshiba service partner in your country.

Otherwise you will need to search other vendors to purchase it. AppleCare will sell you replacements for the original discs that came with the computer.

hi. just got a used ibook g4 off ebay. the seller didn't include the restore disc. where might i be able to find one.
also it has the 10.3.9 os on it but i want to upgrade it to 10.4.x is this posible? if so where can i get the disc/download the installer?

Hi, Josh. Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
You can try giving Apple a call to see if they have the original system CDs available. If they have them, they will send them to you for a fee.
There is no download for Mac OS X 10.4. You need to buy a full retail version.

I've acquired a very cheap old secondhand G4 Imac to use as a photolibrary and large E-photoframe.
Unfortunately the os needs to be reinstalled but the machine cames without any Panther CD's. Where can I get a replacement set of Panther (or perhaps Tiger) CD's without spending a fortune. The machine won't run Leopard so needs an earlier version of osx.
Apple used to have archived versions of it's osses available for download. Do they still do it? Presumably as 10.3 is now pretty old hat it would count as an arcived system...

Tiger install DVDs are in short supply. Tiger is no longer available at the Apple Store *but may be available for $129 by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753)*. For other sources, do a Google search for MA453Z/A (10.4.6), MA190Z/A (10.4.3) and M9639Z/A (10.4) . Also look on eBay. Be sure & buy a retail version (black with silver X) and not a model specific version (gray) (See Can I use another Mac's system restore disc on my Mac? ). Expect to pay (possibly a lot) more than the Apple list price of $129.

Possible Alternative if you are currently using Panther 10.3 – Do a Google search for Tiger 10.4 Upgrade DVD . It will upgrade your 10.3 to 10.4, but it doesn’t contain the full retail Tiger installer. Should be cheaper than the retail Tiger install DVD.

If you do a Google search for M9227LL/A (Panther 10.3 retail install CDs) or M9228LL/A (Family Pack), you may find a set. The CDs should be black with a white X.

Qosmio X500-10T - Where can I get it?

I can't not find the Qosmio X500 10T anywhere in the UK. No on-line retailers stock it, no local shops stock it. The Toshiba website doesn't even have a link for sale.
Anyone heard of any stock updates, or has the USA had all of the 1st off the production line?

I phoned the number on the Toshiba website and found out it should be available next month (January). I'm very suprised about this.. you'd think they'd make sure they have it available for Christmas.
Now this laptop will get far less sales than it otherwise would have had. First the Sony Ericsson Satio phone, now Toshiba Qosmio.. what next? All the advanced gadgets are breaking down just before Christmas. It really gives Toshiba and Sony Ericsson a bad name.
But now that I'm finishing with my 'rant'.. I think this laptop looks amazing, and so do the specs. So I'm just gonna get clothes for Xmas and get this laptop next month when it comes out, which will then be my birthday! It's definitely a laptop worth waiting for. If you compare the price of this laptop to others like Alienware, Sony etc. the specs don't compare at all. This Qosmio 10-T is really high spec, 8GB of memory is HUGE
If they did another model above the 10-T for an extra £200-£300 with better specs again, I'd definitely buy it. It seems to be quite a big jump in specs from the 10-X to the 10-T. With an extra 500GB hard drive and double the memory. But since those seem to be the only differences in features between the two models, wouldn't it be a cheaper option to buy the 10-X model and spend ?£300 to upgrade it yourself? You could get 4GB extra RAM for only £73 if you bought it from eBay.
That would give your 10-X model 8GB of memory, just like the 10-T. Then you'd still have £227 left over. With that you could buy a 7,200RPM 2TB Hitachi Hard Drive and still have £25 left over for a big box of chocolates.
That would leave you with a 2500GB/2.5TB Hard Drive and 8GB of memory. So basically the same as the 10-T model, but an extra 1500GB for less money.
Or am I making this sound alot easier than it actually is?

Where can I get a new hard drive for my intel imac? **** thing dumped, less than 3 years old.

This is my first mac and the **** hard drive crashed in only 2+ years and of course the waranty is expired. Can I replace the hard drive with any 3.5" replacement or do I need something special. PI 7.11 - Where can I get the NEW java API's

We use PI 7.0 in productive environment, but we plan a release update to PI 7.11. We have several Java Mappings for PI 7.0 with Java 1.4. So we have to upgrade this also to Java 1.5.
We are using following SAP Java libs:
- aii_map_api.jar
- aii_mt_rt.jar
- guidgenerator.jar
- sapxmltoolkit.jar
Where can we get the equivalent libraries of the PI 7.11 system. Are there new API's? Is there a documentation where to get this?

I am travelling to Europe next week and will be travelling on the road quite often. I would like to get some work done during that time. My laptop battery will inevitably run out of power during that time and I would like to carry an additional power source with me so I can get some extra juice when I am nowhere near an outlet.

Apple only supports Windows on certain hardware.

Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.

This above is a advanced procedure which requires knowledge how computers and various operating systems, drive formats and so forth work.
I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Also one shouldn't be doing this on Mac hardware that is under AppleCare or warranty as it might be voided. Proceed at your own risk and education.
