Qosmio F10-136 display drivers/video controller
I am in the middle of resintalling everything on my Qosmio F10-136 laptop. I have used the display drivers from the Toshiba website. However, in the device manager the video controller is showing an error and the drivers are not installed. The graphics card is a nVidia GeForce FX go5700. Scrolling pages up and down in IE is very slow.
Also when I go to display properties settings-advanced-adapter the graphics card is not shown under adapter type.
Anyone know what the problem is? Do I need to download drivers from somewhere esle?
Thanks,
Ben
Hi
The graphic driver released on the Toshiba European driver page is working and can be installed properly.
I think you did something wrong.
Try to reinstall the graphic driver again.
Remove the graphic controller from the device manager list and reboot the notebook.
Then try to reinstall the driver again. I would recommend installing it in device manger.
Choose graphic card, update the driver, then point to the downloaded graphic driver and finish the installation.
Cheers

Qosmio F10-136 - Unable to install any drivers
I have a Qosmio F10-136.
I have recently formatted the hard drive. Since I had lost the recovery disc, I had to use another copy of Windows. I downloaded the drivers available online from the Toshiba website but I have been unable to install any drivers except the wireless LAN. Most driver setups refuse to run at all, some seem to install the files, but the driver is not detected.
Please advise.> 1. Sound device not working still - When I install the audio effect driver (i.e. toshiba virtual sound), there does not seem to be any effect even though it is installed. Then, when I install the SoundMax Audio System, it gives me an that the driver does not exist.
What do you mean exactly by does not seem to be any effect. Can you hear the sound coming from the speakers? Are there any yellow exclamation marks related to the sound card? If not then the sound card driver has been installed properly and the sound should work!
> 2. I cannot figure how to install the LAN driver.
Where is the problem? Download the LAN driver, unzip the package, access the device manager, choose the unknown device (LAN card), point to the driver files downloaded from the Toshiba driver page and finish the installation.
The LAN card should be recognized properly.
> 3. Same with the TV tuner drivers; there is not setup file.
As mentioned above; you can install the drivers in device manager. Choose TV tuner in device manager (possibly marked as unknown device too.) point to the TV tuner driver files and finish the installation.
> 4. During the windows setup, I had created 3 drives, but I cannot access the drives D & E. When I try to access them, windows asks me to format them, but it gives me an error when I try to do so. Also, the hard drive is not shown in the disk management (not even C drive), so I cannot do anything. Although, the hard drive is shown in the device manager.
If other partitions have been created on the HDD then this should be visible in disk management. I dont believe that you cannot see even the C partition. In my opinion you didnt check this correctly.
Access the disk management (MY Computer, right click, manage). Choose Disk Management. There you should see the HDD and CD/DVD drive.
If the partitions have been created but not formatted then you would see just a free space.
Click right on this space and you could either format this or could delete the partition.
PS: I recommend using a 3rd party tool like Partitions Magic in order to create the partitions on the HDD (Win XP)!!! -
F10-136 Transmitter cable not included?
I just bought the Qosmio F10-136 according to the Quickstart F10 list (number 5) there should be an Infrared Transmitter cable, there isnt one inside the box
does anyone know if there should be one and does the laptop work using infrared?Hello
You have posted several postings about this theme. In the first post you want to know the content of the box of Qosmio F20-136 and now something about F10-136.
Which notebook do you have? F20 or F10?
Nevertheless, the F10 was delivered only with the Power cable, Modem Cable (if modem present) and Video cable. I dont found any informations about a Infrared cable and I have never heard about such cable.
As far as I know the Toshiba remote controller was delivered with this unit. This remote controller you can use with the Qosmio player.

Qosmio F20-136 multimedia video controller not working
In control panel hardware- multi media video controller has the yellow question mark. Also in MCE i get a message saying TV tuner hardware or drivers not working.
I have reinstalled from the recovery disks and installed all updates to MCE 2005 including net.1.1 sp1 and rollup. In control panel hardware there is no entry for TV tuner.
In tools the tv tuner driver is shown as installed.
Any advice would be welcome.\ This is a new machine just purchased so it may be a hardware problemHi
As far as I know you will not find any tuner entries in the control panel.
In the control panel you can find the graphic card option like nView desktop manager of nVidia Geforce.
The TV tuner driver is important to receive the signals in MCE
However, if the yellow exclamation mark appears in the device manager so I assume the driver fails or is wrong. You should try updating it. Please note that on the driver page you will find driver for WinXP and for WinXP MCE. -
Distorted video-out signal on Qosmio F10
Hi,
Up until recently my video-out function on my Qosmio F10 worked just fine. When I connected my laptop to the TV the other day, using a s-video cable, the picture had turned quite distorted. The picture on the TV flickers and sometimes disappears totally.
My laptop has the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5700 graphics card and I have changed no settings what so ever from the point in time when the video-out was working properly.
To debug I've bought a new s-video cable and also a scart-adapter. Using these I've eliminated that the TV's s-video in port is the problem. It seems to me as if something is wrong with the signal from the graphics card.
I'd be very grateful for a diagnose on this issue.
Thanks and regards,
JohanHi,
I've made sure that I use the latest drivers (although the ones that Toshiba provides are not exactly brand new!). I've also made sure that I use the correct TV-format (PAL-B in my case). Furthermore, I've tried both using the s-video port on the TV directly and also using a scart adapter... The result is still the same...
I'm inclined to believe that there is something wrong with the hardware (e.g. a loose contact in the s-video out port). In that case i guess this might be a warranty issue...
Rgds,

Re: Qosmio G20 - multimedia video controller installation
Hi friends
I have tried to install my Qosmio G20 Windows XP (MCE) with PCI device ..
PCI multimedia video controller.
USB device.
I installed it manually and mapped the driver path to "C:/ tools cd "
It gives me an reply that the no driver is found for the device and get finished..
So what I am suppose to do now and make it work...
tanx in advance
RajaIf you ran Toshiba Recovery, then the drivers should be in C:\TOSAPINS
But running recovery should install all the required drivers automatically.
I am guessing that its the TV Tuner, so go to the Toshiba website and install the TV Tuner Driver.
If that doesnt work, tell us the VEN and DEV numbers
For XP: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
For Vista: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager.
Right-Click on the Unknown Device, and select "Properties".
Go to the "Details" Tab, select "Device Instance ID" or "Hardware Ids" in the dropdown list.
You will see something like PCI\VEN_????
The VEN_ number is the Vendor or Manufacturer. For example:
8086 = Intel
10EC = Realtek
168C = Atheros
14E4 = Broadcom
1022 = AMD
1106 = VIA
11AB = Marvell Yukon -

I have administrator rights to the computer. The drivers are up to date. But I am still getting the error message "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again" when opening Premier Pro CS5.5. This appears to have happed after I upgraded to Mac OS 10.10.2.
Anyone?
ThanksHi Stan.
I had the same problem as you did though I am using Adobe CC. I saw nobody replied to you so perhaps my eventual success on my later version may have applications to the error on your version.
Anyhow, I did all the suggestions found here (Error "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules" | Startup ) first and updated my NVidea card to no avail. Eventually what did the trick was this...
After mucking about with the video card, I said "OK lets just have a go at Premiere itself." So I uninstalled Premiere CC and reinstalled it. Now for some reason it didn't give me the latest patch but a slightly earlier version than the current one but lo and behold it was fine with the video card again. I was able to get my friend's video imported and quickly edited but then was having some issues with exporting where it would hang up but I went into Adobe Media Encoder and exported it there without a care. That task out of the way, I then went and made the update to the latest patch and it works perfectly fine - no video driver issues.
So short of it is this - if you've updated your drivers, perhaps what you could try uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere.
Let me know if this works.
Cheers and good luck -

Qosmio F10 with replaced mainboard: Where can I find the right drivers?
Hello guys,
Toshiba service replaced the board with a new one including a geforce 6600 gpu on my F10. So, now I formated the laptop and I want to put again back everything to work. But I see now that there are some different devices, like the 6600go gpu.
Where can i find the drivers (lan, chipset, modem..etc.) On the toshiba web site? If i choose qosmio F10 downloads, I get the drivers for the old motherboard (and graphics card 5700).
Anyone knows where to get the right drivers? thanks!Hello
Check please THIS page.
I presume that chipset driver and also LAN driver are the same. -

I have a G20 and don't know the F10, but if you have video-in, you
can capture and save (and edit too) mpeg files with programs like Intervideo WinDVD Creator.

I own an older model laptop - Dell Vostro 1700. When I upgraded to Windows 8.1 from my true and trusted XP platform, I also upgraded from 32 bit to 64 bit. Today, when I tried to launch my Adobe Premiere Pro, I got the following error message:
Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules
Please update your video display drivers and start again
A cursory look through the Dell support site shows that there are no 64 bit drivers for the Vostro 1700, nor any that are really designed for Windows 8.1. Can anyone help me so I can start using this amazing piece of software (yes, I did complete the tutorial)?
Thank you in advance,
otwotweilhmayr
What version of Premiere Pro do you have on your Windows 8.1 64 bit? What video card does your computer have?
Put those answers on hold until you get to the Premiere Pro Forum where Premiere Pro users can give you some insights on the matter from the Premiere Pro perspective.
We are Premiere Elements users here.
You have posted in the wrong forum. You have posted in the Premiere Elements Forum. Since you have some version of Premiere Pro, please repost in the Adobe Premiere Pro Forum.

or a moderator will be by to move your thread from here to there for you.
