Qosmio F10: What to do with the Update Tool CD after motherboard replacement?
Hi, Hoping someone can help.
My F10 has had three new mother boards since the first one broke down. Fortunately I had paid for the extended warranty. However, when it came back this time they had formatted my hard drive because they changed the chip set. Now it can't find a TV signal and the FN Keys dont work. They sent me new CD Roms entitled "Update Tool" and "Qosmio Player Update", but they don't do anything to help the problem. Anybody got any ideas or does it need to got back again?

Ok, I think the engineer will install everything again and will make an update.
By the way; I think the bundled Qosmio Update Tool CD is a booting CD and its necessary to boot up from this CD to install the proper system drivers for the new hardware components.
The complete update process will take about ten minutes. Follow the on-screen
instructions.
After approximately 5 minutes, the copy process is complete. The message
The media will update software, please do not remove it. Hit any key to Shutdown
is displayed. Press any key to shutdown. Turn on the power of the computer and follow the on-screen instructions.
The Update Tool CD for Qosmio screen then appears and the process of updating the software begins. This can take approximately 5 minutes and the
computer will reboot to complete.
The Qosmio Player Update only works if the Qosmio Player was installed on the HDD.
This is true for original Toshiba image installation.
Note: Do not install the Player if it's missing!
- Boot the PC with the QosmioPlayer update CD.
- Select desired language with allow key and press the Enter key.
- Select desired Country/Region Code and Keyboard Code with allow key and press the Enter key.
- Follow the on-screen instructions

Ever since I upgraded to Photoshop CS6 and started to use the new crop tool, I get this quite interesting visual error and some artifacting.
I didn't have the problem with the crop tool in the previous versions of Photoshop.
What can be the issue?Seems like a GPU problem. Can you try going into Photoshop Preferences, disable GPU acceleration and try if that fixes it?

How Do I make curved lines with the pen tool in after effects CS6
Hello, so I have been following this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKzB-CFT0MI on how to make 2d intros in after effects and at the 2:20 mark he shows how he uses the pen tool to make curved lines around the elipse. I tried to do the samething myself, and couldent make the curved lines. I looked it up online and there were tutorials on how to make curved lines but they did not work the same way, and I could not make curves like he did.So if any of you know how to do curved lines like in the video, your help will be appreciated.

As for the reason that a carrier does not report any up and coming updates because after a week of reporting the update coming users start demanding that it gets release now, look at the post about the devices that will receive ICS, users are already asking why they haven't received the update that they have been promised even when a release date was never reported.
And dont forget if they report that the release date had been changed or temporarily cancelled, this is when the lawsuits threats starts. -
What is wrong with the updates?
Why all my attempts to install the latest updates - iTUnes 7.0.2 and Security Update for 2006-2007 fail on my iMac G5 each time after I have started downloading them? Anyone else with the same issue?
ZoZo, do you download when Software Update tells you or do you go to something like VersionTracker? Klaus is right that a 10.4.8 combo update ususally takes care of things. What has been happening is that you are trying to update apps that need to be updated incrementally, which is why the combo, which will install all the security and OS inmprovements at one time is a good idea.
DBefore you run the combo, repair permissions, and make sure to disconnect all firwire peripherals, and run permissions repair after as well, iTunes changes a lot of them for most people.

What's wrong with the Slice Tool?
Illustrator CC on Mavericks (latest updates as of 2/14/2014)
The slice tool acts like it's snapping to a grid, even though that is turned off. I've also turned off, then cleared all my guides and still, slices refuse to snap to my artwork. It's impossible to draw slices precicely in Illustrator CC anymore. I hope they fix it soon and we don't have to wait for the sun to burn out before getting an update
For now, I guess workarounds include creating slices from guides or not using slices.not using slices.

I just read in a previous post that Slices align to pixel grid, that may be the issue -
What's up with the update of iTunes?
can't install new version. can't uninstall old version. What to do?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

After the 2014 update photoshop won't talk to Bridge or Lightroom. What went wrong with the update?
When I try to export images from Lightroom or Bridge to Photoshop now I get a message that Photoshop won't start up when it is already open and running.
Update your graphics driver and/or turn off GPU acceleration in the Performance prefs.

My wife and I have identical razr's. Hers updated automatic one night and she's not happy with the changes to the display. I keep selecting later for the update because I don't like the chages they made. Aside from that we can be next to each other in the car and one of us has signal yet the other loses signal. I wish I could get the 4G so called "best nationwide coverage" we're paying for. I wish I went with boost. Same crappy service as verizon but half the money. My work phone (not a droid) is also verizon but never loses signal. Any ideas how to fix these crappy phones or anyone know what verizon/motorola is doing to correct these issues?
Downloaded latest update 7-27 and all I can say is it is the most pitiful piece of feces I have ever seen. Letters are blue with black background and you can't read **** because of the contrast . What was wrong with the white letters and black background, nothing except some idiot has to justify his miserable existence by making changes on a system that was just fine. Contacts are another issue now that it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 steps to get there. Unlocking the phone is another one , why should I have to unlock it just to have another screen to ask me where to go. I have been on the phone with Verizon as well as going to the store for help in deciphering this new pitiful update. The answers from the help at the stores is to email Google or Verizon about these issues .I purchased the original droid in dec. of 2009 and was happy with it. then upgraded to the razr jan 2012 and have been pleased with it till this latest update and now If I could get anything else I would, another thing is I would NOT recommend the droid to anyone for purchase.I have even tought about getting the iphone at this point because I am so dissatisfied . when I decided to post this I tried the user name of irked , it was taken as well as ******, so apparently I'm not the only disgusted user.

my ipod says it is updated to most current 6.1.6, i use the rdio app and it worked but now with the update it needs 7.0 but i do not get option to update to this what do i do?
See the chart below to determine whether you can upgrade your device and what you can upgrade to. If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. Hi All, I've had a movie on my ipad for 2 years that I can watch on a plane, no wifi. Now all of a sudden with the updates recently, it won't play with wifi off. What do I do?

While downloading the latest IOS update to my iPhone 4S, my phone went into a frozen state with the update 2/3's complete. It's remained like this for the past 12 hours. I can't turn the phone off, and I can't connect it to iTunes. Anyone know what to do?
If the place of purchase does not have a 'Lemon' policy (three replacements = refund or complete exchange), sadly you are out of luck.
And Apple themselves do not have any power over what policy a reseller uses. You can call Apple Care and have them replace it, but the odds are you would probably get a standard replacement again like has previously happened. I'm pretty sure Apple holds their own sort of 'Lemon' polocy where if it's been replaced three times through them they'll swap it out for a brand new phone. Not 100% sure though, best bet is too call them again.
And it ***** getting a response like that from their support personel, but hey, they can't all be that bad can they? I'm sure if you plead your case they'll try and help out. I've dealt with them in the past and had one or two people that rubbed me the wrong way, but most of them have been a great help and kept me a happy customer, haha.

Plug the Apple TV into your computer and do a restore if it doesn't happen automatically.

I was trying to run ITunes 10.7 update on my Mac Pro with Retina dispaly but "An error has occurred" and I was not able to proceed with the update. The message says "The operation was cancelled. (3072)." I have no other messages. Any ideas why I cannot install this update
Scott's solution fixed the problem. It would have been helpful if the update message in the App Store had reported that. I had first tried B Noir's solution -- and received a helpful warning message that a guest user was still logged in to iTunes. I switched over, logged the guest user out, switched back and the update within the App store worked perfectly.
It seems to me that Apple should invest a little time and effort in making their error/warning messages easier to decipher. I have to come to the forum every time something happens. Why not simply have a dialogue window that opens up to explain the most likely issues? -
I have no idea what to do with the payments for stuff I bought on iTunes.
Ok I had a card from a rebate atatched to the account and it has just expired. Now itunes wants me to pay from a different card for the things I bought in the week before it expired. I had the amount needed to pay for what i bought on the rebate card and bought my last thing before the card expired because i thought it would be stupid to let the money go without actually using it. I was looking today (it expired overnight) at itunes and now its saying i need to pay for them because the have not been pasyed for yet or something like that and i need to update the billing adress but i cant and dont want to one because i dont want to pay for something i had already had the money to pay for and they didnt charge me on it or something and 2 because i dont have another card to use bc i do not have a credit or checking or any card bc other than the rebate card i only have cash. sorry my question is so long but thank you for all the help you people can give me. ps i cant even get a card bc im 15
The rebate card that my mom let me use was after they had bought a new phone and try had let me have what was left on it 7.92 and it counted as a visa credit card so I could use it to activate my account the problem is that I bought the stuff before it expired and it is now expired and it's sayin I still need to pay for what I bought with the old card and I don't want to pay twice for the same things that's just stupid I'm goin to get a gift card for the lowest amount so I can still get the free stuff but I don't think I should be responsible to pay for something thy I bought with a card that had the money on it for them to charge bc they debt send out the bill to them when I got the stuff bc there is stuff on it for like Monday saying I need to pay for it when the card didn't even expire till Thursday night
