Qosmio F60-10K - Exact drivers or recovery disk

Hello,
I have recently purchased this model, however got some problems with HDD and had to fully format it. So Recovery function is lost. Couldnt find exact drivers for this model and as I used drivers I have found under name Qosmio F60, made laptop boot longer and Win Experience index is quite lower.
So the question is, where could I find exact drivers for Toshiba Qosmio F60-10K or order recovery DVD/BD?

Hi s0vijus,
If you search for exact drivers, it would be very interesting to know which OS you are using. The drivers for Windows 7 32bit and Windows 7 64bit are different so its an important information. Normally everything can be downloaded here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Last but not least you can order a recovery disk here from Toshiba directly but its not for free:
https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    Hi,
I have one problem. I dont know is this from first run my Toshiba what was before 6 months or from then...
some USB are recognized some are not but many not just few USB are recognized I mean on USB sticks, External hard drive USB too.
I have 2 external USB hard drive one is recohnized 1 is not, btw.. when i start Vmware XP it recognized all USB and my all external hard drive but in windows 7 some USB are recognized some are not...
It find something is attached to USB but then say no driver, I tried on other Windows 7 on other computer it working USB and external Hard Drive but to my Toshiba Windows 7 64 Bit don't works, btw.. usb are good because when I turn on Vmware it working :((
And why I dont have anymore drivers on support and then drivers its say no product, btw... F60-10K driver page dont exist anymore !
    Thank you, vfranges
    Btw.. Sorry on english xD

    Hi vfranges,
Yes, you dont need the Toshiba recovery disk because you can use the HDD recovery files to reinstall Windows. But to be on the safely side you should create the disk before you start HDD recovery. If something goes wrong, you can use the recovery disk.
Back to your question: The HDD recovery feature you can start in advanced boot menu of Windows. So press F8 key before Windows starts and select Repair My Computer and follow the screen instructions to start HDD recovery.
By the way: All these information you can find in user manual! ;)

  • Qosmio G20- 121E - unable to order Recovery disk

    Hi,
I had accidently deleted the Qosmio player partition in my hard disk and now i am unable to install windows on my disk.
When I try to install windows it shows a blue screen with some memory location address and etc
I think the disk partition table is corrupted and i dont have recovery cd with me.
When i try this link [https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx|https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx] it give me a message like this
*For your device no recovery medium can be ordered, because it comes either not from the region of Toshiba Europe, or it is too old for this service.*
Please help me to recover my laptop or please give me a valid link to download the recovery CD.
    Model No: Qosmio G20- 121E
    With regards ABHI.

Well, as far as I know G20 supports RAID and therefore you will have to install the RAID driver in order to be able to recognize the HDD...
The RAID driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page.
Download it, unzip the package and use the freetool called nLite to include the files into the Win XP OS.
The nLite will create a new XP disk together with the needed RAID drivers.
PS; if you need more details how to use nLite then google simple... there are a lot of websites regarding this theme!

  • Qosmio F60-10K and SSD Speed

Hello I have new problem xD maybe not so big :)
I bought Calisto Mushkin Delux SSD 240 B speed is 285/275...
I install Windows what get with my laptop via Recovery DVDs and I put out-of-box installation , my SSD speed on benchmark is about 150/145 and not over 200 like I bought I read somewhere its not good for SSD to put IMAGE, and Toshiba Windwos Recovery CD put IMAGE on and I think this is because of this it decrease my speed of SSD.
So quastion is how to put Speed on SSD over 200 mb is maybe solution to install some fresh Windwos 7 not out of box or ?
Btw2... I want to crypt my SSD with TrueCrypt 7.0A ... how this decrease my SSD speed if someone know.
Thank you all who help me, last problem what I put on this forum was resolved because nice people :) ty all !

    Hey,
Of course you can test it with your own Windows installation but I doubt its a problem of preinstalled OS from Toshiba. I mean this image is tested and configured for your notebook
In your case I would also check the firmware version of your SSD. Maybe there is an update for it.
Make also sure that BIOS version of your notebook is newest one.

  • Qosmio F60-10K USB Problem

    Hi
...and suddenly all usb ports decided not to recognise anything attached like mouse, external HDD. The funny thing is that the ports are actually live as they provide power and as they are shown to be in the Device Manager window.
    I've tried the following
    1) Updated the BIOS
    2) Updated the chipset
    3) Checked the plug and play service
    3) Unistalled the usb ports and installed them back
    4) Unplugged the devices and plugged them again
    5) Unplugged the AC cord and the battery and plugged them back
    6) Checked the external devices, worked fine on another PC
    7) Prayed for divine intervention
    None of the above worked
    Anybody out there to help?
    Thanks in advanced

So basically what you're telling people is, "It's not toshiba's job to test all hardware - the new owner must test every conceivable problem before installing anything"
This is wrong on many levels:
    1) many usb devices require installation first, so one must waste time installing all sorts of things only to find they need to do a total reinstall of the os?
    2) If, as in my case, some devices only work in some usb plugs, the problem may or may not be fixed.
I think the better solution is for the machine be returned to Toshiba, and your staff to reinstall the OS until it works right......

  • Qosmio F60-111 was delivered without any recovery disks

    Dear Support Team,
Yesterday 31/07/2010 , i went to Toshiba distributer in KSA and i bought Qosmio F60-111, From Jarir Book Store.
When i arrived home, i found that the package don't have the Recovery disks, or the Operating system.
So please i want to know is this the deal?
To buy this powerful laptop and to be surprised that it don't have a recovery disks ?
I've checked the package so many times and i couldn't find any disk!
Please let me know if this is normal or i dunno.
    I feel i am scammed :S
    Anis.

    Hi,
    > but still my question is not answered!
    > is it normal that the F60-111 Qosmio comes without recovery disks?
Yes, it is normal. I bought my laptop without a recovery disk, too. If you read product specifaction, you will find that your lap comes Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery) You should burn recovery disk yourself

  • Qosmio F60 Win 7 clean install plus drivers

    Hi
I would like to clean install win 7 64 bit on my F60. I've already worked out how to change my boot sequence, [ with the help of this forum], so I'm ready to format & reinstall. However my concerns relate to reinstalling drivers specific for the F60.... Any advice on this process would be appreciated. Is it a matter of just downloading from [http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/qosmio/f60/pqf65a-00y002/download?os=25] & installing as I need. Can this be tricky?
    Any thoughts & guidance appreciated
    Regards Lantana
Also would like to update bios...is there a step by step process for that too?

I have a Qosmio F60 & have done a clean install. I'll run you through the steps.
    1. Make recovery disks before doing anything else. It's a good backup should there be any problems & will allow you to return the laptop to "out of the box " state if you want. Once the Recovery disks have been made (about 3 or 4 DVD'S), you can delete the recovery partition, but if you're unsure I would leave it as is.
    2. There is a folder containing all your drivers and programs on the C drive. Back it up to DVD or a USB drive.
    3. Back up your activation information. I used Token Restore (Google it). Back up your data.
    4. Install WIN7, use the advanced option, reformat your C drive. Make sure you install the same Win7 version that came with your laptop (ie Home Premium, Pro ect). Don't enter your activation details at this time, but use Token Restore to do this after installing your drivers. After you install Win7, you'll have basic functionality, ie your mouse touchpad will work, cd drive will work ect. Display will be at a lower resolution.
    5. Install drivers & utilities. I installed the following in this order.
    Intel chipset driver
    Intel turbo boost driver
    Intel management engine interface
    Intel rapid storage driver
    NVIDIA display driver
    Realtek audio driver
    NVIDIA HD audio driver
    Dolby Control Centre
    HDMI Control Manager
    Realtek LAN driver
    Realtech Wireless LAN driver
    Bluetooth Monitor
Toshiba Value added package (custom install... I didn't install Zooming Utility)
    Ricoh card reader
    Synaptics Touch Pad driver
    Winbond CIR driver
    Yuan DVB Tuner driver
    Toshiba Eco Utility (optional)
    Toshiba HDD Protection
Toshiba Disc Creator (optional if you have other CD/DVD burning software)
Toshiba DVD Player (optional, it upscales DVD's, but not much improvement over WMP for playing DVD'S)
    Toshiba Remote Control Manager
WinDVD BD (for playing blu-ray) & the update downloaded from Toshiba website.
    6. Install your own software, antivirus, data, restore your activation information then run Windows Update. Also worth running a good defrag program like MyDefrag or Puran Defrag (both free).
I would install the recently released BIOS update prior all this.
It is possible to trim the installation back even further, but I find this gives me full functionality while removing most of the bloat. I do find this better than simply uninstalling unwanted programs, as some like Norton AntiVirus are almost impossible to fully uninstall.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I cleanly re-install win 7 and drivers for Qosmio F60?

Guys I really need help here.. My *Qosmio F60* has been infected with annoying google re-direct virus..
I am thinking of re-formatting my laptop. But I don't have the any CD. I really forgot if my Qosmio came with the CD or not.
Please help me on how to re-install windows 7 and re-install all the drivers for Qosmio F60 while I don't have any disk with me.
    Thank You
    Davo Foe

    Hi
New notebooks are offered without recovery discs but with HDD recovery option. How to install OS again using HDD recovery option you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
After finishing clean OS please create recovery discs using preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator. These discs can be used if HDD recovery option will not work for some reason.
    Bye

  • Qosmio F60 - Can I use my other Windows 7 disk to install?

I'm buying a Toshiba Qosmio F60 within the next few days and I saw that it comes with a 64bit restore partition but preinstalled with 32bit. I was wondering if I can use one of my other Windows 7 home premium 64bit oem disc's to install windows 7 and use the product key on the back without voiding warrenty and have it pass validation?
Because I like a nice clean Windows install without all that other stuff like office trials and oem software.
Not sure if this is the right place or not but sounded right.

if its the same edition of windows it shouldent matter should it? and uninstalling things tends to leave a messy windows install, i will install a few of the utilities that the defualt one comes with but alot of the stuff new PC's come with can be hard to uninstall and tied into each other.
becouse it comes with a recovery partition with win7 home premium 64 bit presumably OEM, i understand that windows oem for large companies eg toshiba use a file ti activate that matches up to the specific hardware of the pc, but u should still be able to activate it online or on the phone the normal way as long as its the same edition and pc should u not?

  • Qosmio F60-130 - can't find any drivers for it

    Hi all
I have an issue with my Laptop Toshiba Qosmio F60-130 about the DVD driver because my laptop cant read the DVDs. So I suggest to go and download the driver and re-install it but I didnt find it.
Even the F60-130 cant find it between the models here in Toshiba support and that was so weird. Another issue was relating to my keyboard. Some keys stopped working probably and I cant find the keyboard driver to re-install it again.
So is there anyone can help me to solve these issues or tell me at least where I can find drivers for my notebook model.
    Thanks

I really dont understand why you cannot find your notebook model on Toshiba drivers download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
    Product type > Notebok
    Family > Qosmio
Product series > Qosmio F Series
    Model > Qosmio F60
    Short Model No > PQF65E
    It is definitely there.
Back to your issues. If your notebook cannot read DVD medias, even original DVD movies I presume there is some problem with lens. Either it is dirty or it cannot be calibrated properly.
Try to clean the lens up.
Keyboard issue there is no some special keyboard driver. Keyboard uses standard Microsoft driver and there is nothing you can download. It can be that keyboard is defective and must be exchanged.

  • Qosmio F60-11F - Drivers for Windows 7 32bit

    Hi .
I have Qosmio F60-11F and I install windows 7 ultimate 32bit , and I am facing a problem with all drivers.
I search in support driver section in site of Toshiba, but I found only bluetooth, also I need power managment for Windows 7 32bit.
    thanx

    Hey,
As far as I know Qosmio F60 is preinstalled with Windows 7 64bit...
That means you have installed 32bit version of Windows 7 but why? Normally 64bit OS is the future and supports only 4GB or more RAM. 32bit is pretty outdated for such a new high performance notebook
I think this is the reason why you cant get all drivers on official Toshiba page because its designed for 64bit OS only
If you really want 32bit you must search for drivers yourself on external websites.

  • Qosmio F60 - Any updated display drivers?

Hi guys, Ive been looking through the forums over the last month and have seen other people have been having glitchy display problems due to the out of date drivers from toshiba, at the moment I cant play any of the latest games like battlefield bad company 2 etc.
I was hoping if there was anyone out there who could tell me if or when a new driver is coming out for the GeForce GT 330M from Toshiba as I cannot use the ones from Nvidia as they are not compatable with notebooks. Or if anyone has any suggestions as to tweaks of settings changes. The games do run on the lowest of low graphics setting but who wants to to play them like that when I've just spalshed out $2500 NZD for the latest notebook which should be able to play them with ease?
    Will

    Howdy
I installed the latest driver for the gt 330m card from http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/26451-v19716-windows-7vista-32bit-nvidia-mobile-oem
    Follow the instructions.
I found only a very, very small improvement but found that the card reached 80degrees c. the installed from factory driver ran at max 70C.
ran 3dmark 06 and the new driver jumped the score up to around the 6500 mark compared with 6350 mark with the older driver.
Not realy anything to write home about. i have switched back to the older driver because for such a piddly improvement the card ran 10 degrees hotter.
I'm trying to find out if the Qosmio f60 016 only uses ddr2 graphics memory or ddr3. the ddr3 memory, acording to notebook check, should run the card 20% better.
I have my mother-in-law laughing at me because I bought her a $1200 HP laptop on the same day and it gets 200 more marks in 3dmark 06 than my Qosmio.
i think Toshiba may have pulled a swift one on Qosmio F60 016 owners...........Thanks Toshiba. For your flagship model it really ain't that great.
    Cheers

  • Qosmio F60 and Win7 x64 Drivers

Hi, i just purchased a Qosmio F60:- PQF65A-016002 and did a clean install of windows 7 Pro x64.
But i am now unable to find any drivers for it. i have looked in the toshiba support but it brings up no drivers for my machine.
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
    Thanks
    Alastair

    Hello Alastair
Why you have done this stupid mistake as hundreds of other notebook owners?
It is logic to check support at first and be sure certain operating system is fully supported and then installed own OS. Isnt it?
Qosmio F60 is newest notebook and even not available worldwide so you must be careful with support for it. The drivers will be offered soon or later but it can take some time.
    What to do now?
Either go back to factory settings or try to use some drivers for other Qosmio models with similar hardware configuration. Try with X500. It is definitely supported for Win7 x64. Maybe Toshiba tools and utilities can be installed on your F60.
Play a little bit with it. Nothing can goes wrong now.
