Qosmio F60 - remove graphics border around webcam picture frame

I recently bought a Qosmio F60 laptop and when initially setting up/ testing the webcam for use on Skype, I rather foolishly chose a graphics border for around the frame of the webcam picture with lots of yellow stars.
This ends up blocking a large part of the webcam picture when on Skype, which is very annoying, but I can't seem to figure out a way to get rid of it. I'm sure it's a very simple option somewhere in the webcam settings to turn it off, but any help would be appreciated before it drives me mad!
Thanks

Start web camera application and there you will find option Effect. Open it and go to second tab called Frame.
Click there on OFF and I presume the problem will be solved.

  • How to make a round border around my picture?

    I am trying to design a logo that would fit into the center of a Frisbie, yet I cannot figure out how to make a round border around the picture. I have tried using the eliptical tool, and have also tried using the cookie cutter. The only option I can get to work with the eliptical tool, is the feather, yet I can't change the pixel number for some reason, so it just makes a thin circle around the picture. I thought I could cut and paste it, but the copy and cut options were grayed out and didn't work. When I used the cookie cutter, it made a nice border, and I pasted the picture into it, but, there are four sections that need to be filled in with the background color and the paintbucket didn't work in those spaces (they are the gray and white checked areas. (the picture ends up looking like a rectangle inside of a circle). So I made a new blank file and filled it in with the color of the picture's background, hoping to use the cookie cutter tool around the picture that was now pasted into the new blank file (I chose another color for the round border) and I used the cookie cutter around the picture, but when it was finished, the whole picture ended up being white. All I want to do is to make a border around a picture (a round border). Nothing I have done has worked though. What am I doing wrong, or what are some other options for trying to do this? Thanks.

    Here is a simple way to add a border. Select the item, add a blank layer, choose the border size and color and the Outside option:
    Here is the result:
    Note that you don't even need to do the Stroke on a blank layer. You can Stroke directly on the picture layer. However having the blank layer preserves the picture in case you want to start again with different Stroke options.
    If this is not what you are looking to do, please clarify.

  • Removing the border around a PopUpButton

    Hi,
    Is there a way to remove the border around a PopUpButton,
    especially the vertical border between the label and the "down"
    arrow (such that it looks like one button, not two)? Thanks in
    advance.

    It should look something like this:
    Button.blankButton{
        upSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_up.png');
        overSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_over.png');
        downSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_down.png');
        disabledSkin: Embed(source='assets/blank_btn_disabled.png');

  • Remove Black Border Around Embedded Flash Video

    Hi-
    I have searched on the Web without luck, so again I have to
    turn tot he forum for help. I believe this should be simple and
    straightforward, but doesn't appear so. I have a simple little
    Flash video embedded in a plain old web page created with DW8. When
    the page is displayed in my web browser it has a thin black border
    around the video. I would like to remove this border (such as one
    might with image border=0). I have tried several "fixes" ranging
    from setting the BODY margin height to 0 to altering my external
    style sheet. None of these worked. I even created a fresh web page
    with no external style sheet at all and the border is still there.
    How on earth do I get rid of that ugly thing? Any help is greatly
    appreciated.

  • Unwanted border around png picture

    I cutout unwanted content in a picture selecting a mask then saving for web as a png to show on a web background. But the picture shows a faint light coloured hairline border against a grey webpage background.  How can I get rid of this unwanted border?  The picture is shown on the website in a 'lightbox' so I cannot try borders in css to fix.

    What you could do is open the png file into photoshop, ctrl click or cmd click the thumbnail of the image.
    Now you have a selection around your object and not the background. (assuming the png had a transparent background to start which it should have)
    You now have a few options at your disposal.
    1) You could create a mask from the selection then using a brush paint away the unwanted area in the mask. (black to hide, white to reveal (shades of gray to vary the amount)
    2) You could use the menu item Select>Modify>Contract (use a low pixel number) or Select>Modify>Feather
    3) You could use Select>Refine Edge - This will be more visual than #2
    4) With 2 and 3 either make a mask or move to new layer (Another option is to invert the selection then hit delete) Mask is always preferable for noon-destructive edits that you can redo later assuming you save a master file as psd or tiff.
    5)Instead of a selection you could try (on a layer that is unlocked) Layer>Matte>Defringe
    After you save a master file, then you can merge the layers and save as a png file for the web. saving as a png would be merged anyways, however this will let you verify the end result. If not correct, you still have the master file to work from.

  • Removing the border around buttons in a CS Extension

    Hi,
    I'm creating a new extension for Creative Suite, and all  the buttons I have in the extension are using icons, but there is always a border around the button, which I cannot remove. I have tried changing the borderColor to match the background colour of the Extension, but the border is still there.
    I have attached a screen shot of one of the buttons a add button, in the extension so you can see what I mean. This button should just show the plus icon and not have a border around it. How can I remove this border? I'm using CSS to add the icons to the buttons, even using CSS means I can't remove this border.
    Thanks
    Stephen

  • How to remove black border around image files?

    I'm something of a beginner with Photoshop, so forgive me if I've missed something entirely obvious: for some strange reason I'm now getting a black border around all image files that I save through the "Save for Web & Devices" panel. Does anyone know how I can save without creating this border? It looks rather unsightly when I load it into a client site. The file in question is a .png, but I seem to be getting the same effect with all other image files as well.
    Thanks in advance,
    Shane

    One cause could be having the matte color set to something other than none.
    Is that a png-8?

  • Removing white border around applet in browser?

    Greetings All,
    My applets are surrounded by a white border in Netscape and IE. Can I get rid of it so that the applet goes from edge to edge in the browser control? (Looks like default 5 pixel Hgap is in force, is this the case, and if so can it be overridden without access to the source code?)
    TIA,
    Dave.

    Hi, Even when you assign 100% to width and height you will notice one black border around applet in case of IE5.0 When I go in to full srceen mode in IE 5.0 It should not show me scrollbars.
    But because of this border scrollbar remains

    the border that is automatically created around the header box is creating an annoying separation between the header and page background.. can i get rid of it?

    Just a wild guess, but if your "header box" is an image that is also a hyperlink, you might want to do a Google search on this very common behavior to find a solution:

  • Remove white border around TOC

    Hello all, I have set a black background to the HTML page, playback controls and TOC. Yet Captivate draws a white border line 1px wide around the TOC. Is there any way to remove this?

    Hi Robert,
    I can understand how it feels when something is translated entirely different than what the feature is supposed to do.
    This says it....
    "For example the new function that moves the recording area following the mouse movement has been translated into a term that describes the balancing of stereo sound."

    Add this to your CSS -
    a img { border:none; }
    And on a related note, how can I set the hyperlink to automatically move to the linked page after a certain amount of time, say 10 seconds?
    You'd have to have the onclick attribute of the anchor tag call a delaying javsacript routine that only releases after 10 seconds.  It's bound to be confusing, though.

  • White border around the picture when it prints

    How do i get the white border off of my picture when i print my picture?

    As mentioned above by hatstead tat all printers does not support border less printing so first of all check whether your printer is able to print border less. If yes then there are few steps to follow for MAC and WIN machines.
    For WIN :-
    Click on ‘Change settings…’ button and then by clicking on ‘Advance Settings…’ you will get your printer preferences dialog.
    From printer preferences dialog you can check/select the checkbox/radio button for border less printing. This option is generally present under different tab for different printers like “Page setup tab for Canon Printers” or “Paper/Quality tab for HP printers” or “Main tab for EPSON printers”.
    Once done and from PSE print dialog select appropriate paper and print size and click ‘Print’ button to get the border less print.
    For MAC:-
    f your printer supports borderless printing then you can find the entry for paper size with border less from ‘Select Paper Size’ drop down on print dialog.
    Now select your print size from ‘Select Print Size’ drop down and click Print button to get the border less print.
    Hope it would help you.
    Cheers !!!

  • Border around photo

    How do you put a simple 1 pt. border around a picture or graphic in Photoshop Elements 10?

    Cyndy,
    After you have finished editing, place a blank layer at the top of the stack of layers in the layers palette
    Go to Select>all
    Then, go to Edit>Stroke(outline) selection. In the dialog enter the width for the stroke, the color, position it inside.
