Qosmio G35 AV600 Sound Driver Reinstall

I accidentally removed the sound driver trying to get rid of some of the bloat on my machine. I am working under XP with SP3 installed. Tried everything to reinstall the SigmaTelHighDef Audio CODEC but still get the report Cannot Start Code 10. Also on boot-up I get message Runtime error 91 object variable or with block variable not set.
I am pretty sure it's a Registry problem but all my registry fixer programs don't seem to fix. Anyone got help? I have installed/uninstalled/installed the SigmaTel driver 2 or 3 times.

  • Qosmio G35-AV600 ---- Drivers & tools in german language?

+++++ Happy new year to all of you +++++
I'm interested to buy the Qosmio G35-AV600 in the US. I like to change the keyboard into a german one. Where can I find all the drivers and software utility tools in german language or which german Qosmio notebook is is compartible to the G35-AV600? This notebook will be a gift for my sister and she doesn't know how to speak english very well. I like to set up the whole notebook into the german language included Windows XP.
Who will be able to help me?
    Thanks & regards,
    Marc

    Hello
All you need you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Support Homepage.
Only problem I can see there is TV tuner because it is country specific and I am afraid it will not be possible to use it in Europe (another TV standard). I am also not sure how the WLAN card will work because one user has reported he has problems in UK with US machine.
I know that units are cheaper in US but unit like Qosmio should be used with all hardware and all options. Qosmio G30 series is great but maybe it will be better to buy F30 in Germany and your sister will not have any problems.
Please do not understand it as something negative but it is just my opinion.
    Happy New Year!!!

  • Qosmio G35-av600: How to use the internal display as a monitor using composite-in?

I want to hook up my video game system and use my laptop monitor, but I can not figure out how to change the settings so that my monitor displays the video game? Composite in settings?
I have a G35-av600 purchased last june. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know

    Hi
Im not sure if I can help you because I know only something about the Qosmio G10 and G20 and your Qosmio seems to be a US notebook but I will try my best ;)
On the Qosmio G10 for example you have to change the input settings in the Toshiba picture enhancement utility but I assume you dont have this tool preinstalled.
But I think the composite in is a right jack to built the connection with the game station.
I think in the Advanced graphic card settings you should be able to find the right options.
Play a little bit with this settings.

  • Default recovery CD doesnt recognize my Qosmio G35-AV600

Hi, my problem is a bit cranky ...
    Notebook model / type : G35 AV600 / Qosmio
    I have original recovery CD's.
I try to format using recovery CDs but i receive the following mesage
"this CD is not configured for your portable pc. Its for Qosmio G35 model"
If i format using XP by booting from CD the i cant load its drivers from default recovery CDs. Because its not G35 type according to the default recovery CDs.
Ok i could download them from the offical web site but g35 model is not defined at the selection chart of the support link.
    any idea ?

Do you use recovery medias for the first time?
Is your notebook maybe repaired (motherboard exchange or something)?
You can install operating system using own WXP installation disc. all necessary drivers, tools and utilities you can find HERE .

  • How to install RAID driver in Windows Vista on Qosmio G35-Av600?

I have the Windows Vista Home Preminm Upgrade Pakage. When I start the insallation process, the setup asks for Toshiba Raid Driver. So I click in Load Driver button and choose the folder where the driver is in, as said on the guide, but the setup says that there is no driver found for this drive.
What is the reason and what is the solution?

    Hi
Did you choose the right RAID driver???
It seems this Qosmio notebook was designed for the US market and therefore you should download the driver from the US page:
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp
There is RAID driver designed especially for the Vista. At this time its 1.10.0016 version.
Please note that you will have to extract this file before installing the RAID driver!!!

  • What adapter do I need for my Qosmio G35-AV600?

    Hey there,
I was totally happy with my recently purchased FullHD 26" Display with HDMI input.
So I figured, slowly stop using the PC and start working with your Laptop at your new display using the HDMI port.
So I ordered one, but then recognized that the port on my Qosmio was way smaller and the Product Specs name it "Digital Component Out port (HDMI Out port fro HD DVD model)".
Since HD DVD is dead, I now have a problem hooking up my notebook to my display.
Can someone name me the name of an adapter with I could use?
Is this notebook out port mini HMDI???
I hope someone here can help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
According to the Wikipedia Article posted by Chad a D-Terminal connector carries a component video signal (Y Pr Pb).
A device with a D5 connector can understand and display the following video signals:
    D1 480i (525i) 720480 Interlace
    D2 480p (525p) 720480 Progressive
    D3 1080i (1125i) 19201080 Interlace
    D4 720p (750p) 1280720 Progressive
    D5 1080p (1125p) 19201080 Progressive
A device with a D-Terminal connector supports that level and lower D-Terminal signal. For example, a D4 connector can be used with a D4, D3, D2, or D1 signal, but not with a D5 signal.
So if your LCD would support a D5 connector then you could connect both devices and could get the 1080p signal.
The D5 connectors are made for in Japan market. Unfortunately its not known to me if a D-terminal to HDMI cable exists
I think you would need such cable in order to get HD signal on your TV with HDMI port.

  • Qosmio G35-AV600 TV tuner

How do I upgrade this laptop to receive digital TV stations through the Antenna input?
Do I have to buy a converter box for the laptop?

    Hi
I think this issue is related to the NTSC / PAL settings.
The TV tuner equipped in the notebook for a US market supports only NTSC and this could be the reason for your issue.
Here a link to a Wikipedia article about the PAL:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL
    There I found this:
+In Argentina, the PAL-Nc (combination N) variant is used. It employs the 625 line/50 field per second waveform of PAL-B/G, D/K, H, I, but with a chrominance subcarrier frequency of 3.582 MHz.+

  • How to create Qosmioplayer recovery CD on Qosmio G35

I just bought a "factory re-certified" G35. I know that is an american model, but the american support site doesn have a forum this good.
Apparently on the Qosmio G35-AV600 model, it is not possible to create a Qosmio Player Recovery CD once the Qosmio Recovery DVD has been used to restore the software 'image' onto the computer's hard disk drive. If I try to create a Qosmio Player Recovery CD, the computer will eject the blank CD, and the following error message will be displayed:
"File has been deleted or co... "
This is because the utility program that creates the Qosmio Player Recovery CD is not reinstalled by the Qosmio Recovery DVD, even though all of the other software is successfully re-installed.
The laptop did not come with a qosmioplayer recovery CD. I downloaded the "Qosmio Player Utility for Windows XP" from the following site:
    http://askiris.toshiba.com/
All it seemed to do was run installshield (in xp) and unzip a few files to the 'c' drive, but that still has no affect. Apart from asking Toshiba to send me the recovery disc, is there anything that I can do?

    Hallo Saurabh
The US Toshiba notebooks are not known to me and I also dont know how they are delivered but I can give you some info about European Qosmio models.
Every Qosmio notebook (G30 as well) is delivered with recovery medias (Qosmioplayer Recovery Media and Recovery DVD for OS installation). Because of that it is not possible to create any recovery media. Qosmioplayer is not part of operating system and not installed on Windows partition.
Qosmioplayer is Linux based player and preinstalled on non-partitioned part of HDD. As far as I know Qosmioplayer utility is created to import recorded movies into Windows OS to allow watching, editing and also saving on CD or DVD.
The fact is that you can not create Qosmioplayer recovery media on your own. I am pretty sure that US units are designed and preinstalled on same or similar principle.

  • Qosmio G35: How to create Qosmio Player image CD

    Hello,
    I'm from Brazil and i have a Qosmio G35 AV600.
A month ago, i deleted all my partitions and after i reinstalled the OS i realized that QosmioPlayer was missing.
Searching the web i found out that i need the Qosmio Player Recovery CD to reinstall the linux based software.
I called 10 times at the Toshiba Support Center, opened a ticket and all the times i have been informed that the
International Consumer Relations would call me in 1hour.
Anyway, can somebody help me creating an ISO (image) from the real CD and UPLOAD the image into a GMAIL account or somewhere else?
    I really appreciate that.
    Thank you...

    Almost got it.
I have downloaded your file MRG, burned into a disc, but when i tryied to install, the following message: "Your system does not support Qosmio Player" pop out into the window.
What is the version of your Qosmio?
I think that this version is not compatible to my G35 AV600.
Can somebody, who have a Qosmio G35 series, could help me? Send me a QosmioPlayer Recovery CD nero image or iso image..
    My email is: [email protected]
    Thanks for your patience!

  • Re: Qosmio F20 - No sound card driver on Toshiba support site

I had to format my HDD in my Qosmio F20-137. Then I have reinstalled operative system (XP) and all drivers I found on Toshiba support site. But I can't find any driver for the sound card and thus my PC is now soundless (except the beeps from the PC speaker).
Where do I find the right driver?
    Regards
    Pellegram

It is very easy to find the driver. You must search in archive and check for drivers listed for WXP MCE.
Anyway, the right sound driver you can find HERE .
Please send some feedback if everything is ok.

  • Qosmio F30 Sound Driver for Windows Server 2008

I am running a virtual machine with Windows Server 2008 installed on it. The server sees my Sound Driver but it doesn't recognize it and asks for driver all the time. I tried running the Sound Driver installer from the CD but it did work, said: Unsupported operating system. I searched all the web for a driver and I didn't find any. Can any one help in finding this driver for me or let me know it it is possible to manually install this driver?
I'll be so thankfull for any help.

As you probably know Qosmio F30 is not designed to be used as a server and generally speaking Toshiba doesnt support Server2008. All you can do is to identify sound card manufacturer and try to find the driver on their support page.
Sorry buddy but thats all what I can say about it.

  • REMOVE BEATS AUDIO, LOAD GENERIC SOUND DRIVE, MAINTAIN OR REINSTALL STEREO MIX, HP ENVY, 8.1

HP Envy Touchscreen 15-k073ca Notebook (new) with Windows 8.1, Beats Audio and stereo mix Instructions as detailed as possible would be appreciated to totally remove Beats Audio from the notebook and load Windows generic sound drive. I would also like instructions on how to enable the stereo mix option which is included in the new notebook I do not know if totally removing Beats Audio also removes or adversely affects the stereo mix, if so, detailed instructions on how to repair or reinstall the stereo mix would also be appreciatedIf this becomes necessay, I would have to check with HP to see if the warranty is affected. To receive the best results with Audacity, stereo mix is required and Beats Audio has to be completely removed from the notebook. Beats Audio produces bad results when using Audacity Any response on all or part of this post would be appreciated

    Hello  ,
Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand you wish to remove Beats Audio from your notebook and use the generic Windows drivers. Follow these steps:Press Windows + R.Type msconfig and click OK.Click the Start up tab.Uncheck IDT PC Audio.Click Apply.Reboot.Press Windows + R.Type devmgmt.msc and click OK.Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.Right click IDT device and click UninstallCheck the box to remove the driver.Reboot.This should disable the Beats Audio allowing you to uninstall it and subsequently force Windows to reinstall the generic audio drivers. Keep in mind without the Beats Audio you may not have access to the Stereo Mix feature.  Is the Stereo Mix device not listed in recording devices or is it listed but showing unavailable? Typically the stereo mix feature will not work unless it is set as the default device or if the internal microphone is disabled. Let me know if this helps.

  • Qosmio G10-100 - Need sound driver for Windows 7

Please please please can anyone help I have spend hours and hours installing loads of difference drivers and none work. I even tried installing DriveRobot and that installed a RealTec 97 but does not work.
I need a window 7 sounds driver for a G10 100 I am sure there is someone out there that has the same issues. Please note that when I go to the sound device it shows up and no sound drivers installed even if I install the Realtex ones.
I am pretty sure that the sound card build into the lappy is a SoundMax

    Greg

    Hello
First of all you should check the specifications of your notebook and what sound card is built in. I have done this and the Toshiba page shows a built in AnalogDevices AD1981B sound card. That means a Realtek driver will not work.
On the Toshiba website I can only find Windows XP drivers that means Windows 7 or Vista is not supported :(
You can search on external websites and with Google to find a driver. Maybe you have a little bit luck. ;)

  • Qosmio G35-600 - Advanced controls of volume control

    Hello,
I have a Qosmio G35-600. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure my volume control use to have advanced controls and I had access to the input monitor, which is now greyed out. I reinstalled my SigmaTel Audio Driver (qg600audiox.exe), but that did return the advanced controls nor give access to the input monitor. The volume control is Microsoft volume control version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_odr.101209-1647: Service Pack 3).
    Any ideas?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
When you right click the volume icon in the system tray and click Open Volume Control, I see the following headings:
Volume Control, Wave, SW Synth, CD Player, Input Monitor. Input Monitor is greyed out.
Also, in the Volume Control window, there is Options>Advanced Controls. Advanced Controls is greyed out.
There are no yellow marks or unknown devices listed in the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers section of the Device Manager.
