Qosmio X300-14X and 120 Hz display

Hello.
What kind of exit HDMI in Qosmio X300-14X v1.2 or v1.3 ?
Can i connect 120 Hz display on this notebook ?
sorry for my english.

hi XPOM,
clearing up some designations....
- HDMI is NOT DVI (adapter is needed)
- Hz (frequency) have nothing to do with your resolution (at first glance)
- and the max. troughput is theoretical means that you almost never reach it (except you alter ALL of the shown pixels at a time)
let have a look on your problem:
- look what frequencies your graficcard can provide, i am sure more than 120hz
- the max resolution is above the 1080p of full hd
to the problem +released in 2006 year+ - sure every technology needs time to establish and you will pay for it
even more as earlier you want it - how much have you paid for your machine...?
you can use a 120hz monitor with your machine
and if you exeed the max. throughput there will be shown so called artefacts (pixelblocks)
i am sure this will not happen during a normal game/movie...
and if it fails you can give it back... - so dont worry

  • Qosmio X300-14x - Ethernet controller gone away

    Hello!
Somehow driver of Ethernet controller on my Qosmio X300-14x gone away, and iIcan not find anywhere the installation file. I even can not find a exact model of conroller to "google" it. So I can not connect internet via my zxdsl 831 serier model. On other computers it works well. Please, if you have some info - post it here.
P.S. I looked on toshiba official site - the only modem driver there doesn't work, maybe I need another one.

    Hi wade-g,
Im a little bit confused now. Are you searching for the Ethernet controller driver or Modem driver? These are different drives and devices so you should be more detailed.
I think you should try it with the Ethernet (LAN) driver again. You can download it on the Toshiba website.
By the way: Is the LAN card recognized in device manager?

  • Qosmio X300-12H and Universal adaptor

    Hi,
    Ref: PQX32E-02400LEN
I ordered the laptop Qosmio X300-12H UK version but im living in Belgium so the adaptor could be a problem. But i saw this: AC adaptor input voltage : autosensing AC adapter (100/240 V) for worldwide usage. Does that mean i can use the laptop ANYWHERE without buying a new *** expensive adaptor?
How can I know the tension, frequency of the computer?
    Thx

    >could be a problem
In my opinion you should wait to see if the problem is there or not. If you don't want to use original adapter the best thing you can do is to order original one and you can buy it in Belgium.
Ok maybe is more expensive as some cheaper universal but maybe you should use original parts with this nice and not so cheap notebook. in my opinion it is better to be on the safe side.
On Toshiba support page I found info that Qosmio X300 needs PA3546E-1AC3 AC adapter.
    It is AC Adaptor - 19V DC, 9.5A, 180W.
    Bye

  • Qosmio x300-14Y and Windows 7 - only 2 reproductors

    Hi
I have problems with my Qosmio notebook after upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 64 bit.
The problem is that I can configure and only can hear 2 reproductors (Qosmio x300 14 Y has 4 + subwoofer which functioned well under Vista)
I tried to install drivers for soundcard from Toshiba website but with no success.
When I try to configure reproductors - then i can see only front left and right one.
I have additional 5+1 set witch I used back with Vista and now also listed only as 2 reproductors
    Thanks all for answers.

i have made clean win 7 installation with c drive formatt, then windows 7 64 downloaded drivers - only drivers from nvidia have i downloaded manualy and off course sound drivers after problems.
the thing is that my 4+1 sound notebook is just 2 (stereo)

  • Cannot change brightness on Qosmio X300-14X

    Hi guys,
I've been messing aroung with drivers, TVAP to finally get my laptop working ok but unfortunately without any luck.
    The current situation is this:
    -I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
    -Display drivers are installed correctly
    -TVAP has been also installed
-Nvidia control panel can see my nvidia SLI
I can do all the functions with the FN key EXCEPT from one... the brightness.
I cannot change my brightness with the FN keys or through windows 7 power management and i can't figure out whether its a VAP problem or the nvidia drivers.
What else can i do? Should i wait for the drivers or is there any other solution?
    Regards
    alex

    Hey,
Have you also installed Flash Cards Support Utility? Normally you need this tool as well for using FN keys. You can download it on the official Toshiba page:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
As far as I know its available for X300 too If not you can download it from another notebook series. Just search a little bit.
From my own experience I can tell you that Flash Cards Support Utility could solve all my FN key problems. :)
    Cheers

  • Qosmio X300-14X Nvidia 9800m gts SLI drivers.

    Hi,
Can i find the drivers for my SLI somewhere? i've tried all the drivers i could find but without any luck.
When will Toshiba release the drivers for these models and also the software to support all the functions? (LIKE VAP) ?

    Hi
    > When will Toshiba release the drivers for these models and also the software to support all the functions? (LIKE VAP) ?
Then Win 7 drivers release process is in progress
I noticed the Toshiba released many Win 7 drivers for different notebook series
So Qosmio X drivers should be published in the next time as well. Hopefully ;)

  • Qosmio X300-p8700 and IrDA problem

    Hello,
I have a question about the built in IrDA of this laptop.
I play left 4 dead 2 and fallout 3 a lot, but I'm not able to open my console in these games. I looked a bit on the internet and I find that IrDA is the problem. I enabled the console in both games and did what I found on the internet, nothing worked.
Could someone explain how to disable it on Vista?
Or is there something else that could cause this problem?

    Hi
I dont play these games and therefore I cannot say anything about the issue with the console in such games
But if you want to disable the infrared port then you can do this in BIOS.
The second tab in BIOS contains the option called Internal CIR.
Disable this and save the changes in BIOS.
    Then reboot the unit
This will disable the internal infrared port

I have a Qosmio x300-15u and i have noticed in device manager it only shows 1x 9800m gts and 1x 9400m!!!

  • Qosmio X300-11S - Cant get 1080p @ 60 Hz to work

I have a Qosmio X300-11S and no matter how much I try I can't get 1080p to work at 60hz.
In fact that timing isn't even available. I can only chose 24p or 30p on my Full-HD displays even though they support 50/60hz.
I have the latest drivers installed for my 9700M GTS so I'm lost. I am almost certain that it has worked before.
    What might be the problem?

    Hey,
    Wait a moment, buddy.
If you connect your X300 to an external monitor via HDMI cable I would recommend connecting the cable first. Then power on the monitor or TV and select the correct input channel. At last power on the notebook and normally it should recognize the HDMI connection automatically.
If not you can use FN+F5 key combination to switch between the monitors.
Furthermore the latest display drivers from Toshiba should work because they are pretested so I would recommend this driver.
