Qosmio X500-12L Latest Wireless drivers don't connect after sleep

Latest Toshiba drivers don't REconnect to the router anymore after comming out of sleep state. I have to DISABLE the wireless adapter, re-enable it to get back into it. (has nothing to do with "let windows turn this adapter off to save power) in case someone thinks about answering that.
Very annoying, probably a bug.
Regards

Yes, I noticed the same issue on my two notebooks from different manufacturers.
Ive got a Win 7 64bit OS installed as well and I think this might be either a Windows or WLan driver issue
Because the two notebooks use different WLan cards (Intel and Atheros) I came to the conclusion that this might has something to do with Win 7 OS.
However, your notebook supports the Realtek 802.11bgn RTL8191SE Wlan card right?
Did you try the WLan driver from Realtek page?
Try this
I could solve my issue refreshing the WLan ip address.
I did this is command box (dos box started with cmd). Here I used the command ipconfig /renew.
This was very annoying so changed the WLan IPadress from assign automatically to static IP address of course I had to change the router settings to because the DHCP has assigned the IP address automatically to all devices placed in the network.
In my case this seems to help too...

  • Wireless Printers No Longer Connect after BT Infi...

    Hi all,
I have a very strange issue - a friend of mine has 3 wireless printers installed at home and used to have a BT home Hub 2.0.  They all connected wirelessly without issue and he could print from any computer in the house with the software on.
Last week he had BT infinity fitted and a new home hub supplied.....he then found he could not connect to his printers and asked me to take a look......I firstly uninstalled all his printer software and went through the installation process again.  While all 3 printers are wireless, 2 connect independantly (via printer console) and one needs to be connected to the computer to undertake wireless conection and set up.
I installed the 2 printers that could connect wirelessly withouth needing to connect to the PC - I checked the home hub settings and both printers can be seen as connected.  I then installed the software to the computer and when they were trying to "find printer" on the "connect wirelessly" page - it kept saying that it could not find the printer or it could not connect to the printer.
I thought it may be the computer with the issue so I tried on 2 other computers including my own windows 7 laptop, but while I could see the printer as connected while on the home hub page, I was unable to access the printer when setting up.
I spent 30 minutes with a technical guy who admitted he did not know the settings for the router and told me to try and switch off the firewall on the router! - I did, it did not work so I swtiched it back on!
I suspect it is a simple setting issue although seeing the issues online I now have my doubts and wondered if anyone here had an idea before he has to pay for help -
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
Diver9, do you have any more information on the actual problem.
When you are unable to print:
1: Can you ping the static IP addresses?
2: What do the printers network status pages state?
3: What channel has the Homehub selected? Have you tried fixing the channel to an unused channel (as found by inssider?)
4: Does the homehub still think the printers are connected? (http://192.168.1.254->Home Network-><Device>)
I know it is a hassle troubleshooting, but it's sensible to find out what has actually gone wrong. Your experience may help someone in the future or give BT something to look at improving in the next firmware. For example, listing the model of each printer in this post might help. The more information the better.
I have used a network printer with v1, v1.5, v2a and v3 of the homehub family and haven't experienced any printing problems. I appreciate that I might just be lucky, but your information might help someone.

  • Wireless card could not connect after mother replacement

    Hi,
I just replace my lenovo T430i motherboard, everything working except Wireless card could not connect to wirelesss network. I take to the shop they replace new wireless card, but it still appear the same problem. Is there anyone having the same problem.
    Best Regards,
    Bunheng Mom

    Hello bunheng,
If you could please boot into BIOS at start-up.  On the main page this should show you your system-unit serial number, and the system board serial number. Could you check and make sure both of these fields are occupied.
    One step at a time.
    Hope this helps,

    Hi matchmate,
by installing the Parallels Tools while running Windows inside Parallels usually installs all needed drivers, including sound, ethernet etc.
Parallels currently does not list 64-bit Windows 7 in their list of supported guest OS (operating systems), so it seems that you are, for the moment, out of luck.

Future updates/upgrades of Parallels might include 64-bit WIndows 7 support.

  • Wireless Keyboard don't connect with new mac mini

    Hi,
I just received my new Mac mini server 2011 and bought an Apple wireless keyboard (already have a magic mouse). At first start up of my Mac mini picks up my magic mouse and I can use it but does not pick up my wireless keyboard? Is this normal? Am I missing a trick with the keyboard? Do I first need to use a normal USB keyboard to configure my Mac mini and then when Lion is setup it will install the driver for the wireless keyboard?
    Regards,

I just bought new Mac mini w/ wireless keyboard and track pad. During initial setup it would not pair to keyboard but it di see trackpad. I could not complete setup, I have no control.  Brought home USB keyboard from work and resumed setup. I'm stuck again. In setup it's asking for a trackpad click to continue. The trackpad will scroll, but will not click. The whole system is two days old and nothing works  I tried to contact support through the lengthy online screening process and apple ultimately say the new system doesn't qualify for free support.
Totally ******. I'm back to using my old pc..  What to do with this expensive boat anchor from apple?
Really could use some help here

  • I loose my wireless printer connection after sleeping?

My wireless link is fine until my Mac goes to sleep. After waking I can't print via wireless connection unless I completely shut down and restart my Mac.

    Hello Warrior801,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
Troubleshooting printer issues in OS X

Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again.  Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
    Have a nice day,

  • Mission control gestures fail/don't work after sleep

Newbie to a 15" Macbook Pro, Lion, with the most recent updates.
I've noticed what I imagine is an operating system error twice now, where after waking the computer from sleep, my Mission Control gestures (I've got 4 finger swiping between desktops, 4 finger up/down for expose or mission control) and the Launchpad/Desktop thumb and 3 finger gestures all simply don't work.  All of the same preferences are chosen in System Preferences, but those gestures simply don't work.  The trackpad otherwise seems to work with scrolling, 3-finger dragging, tap to click, etc.
The only way I've been able to get the gestures to return is by restarting the computer.
Any ideas on what is going wrong?  Is there a command line or other process that would allow me to restart the gestures service without having to completely restart --- that isn't ideal (the ideal is that this wouldn't happen), but a workaround solution is better than nothing?
    Thanks

It appears after repairing my permissions with Disk Utlity has fixed this. Open up Disk Utlity (Found under "/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app" - But typing "Disk Utility" in Spot Light should open it).
Select your disk (in my case, Macintosh HD) and click on the button that says "Repair Disk Permissions".
    Don't even need to restart!

  • Wireless network will not connect after Security update 2006 06

Downloaded recent security update. Ran Disc Utility before and after. Unable to connect to my wireless network (Netgear ) which always works without a problem. After trying to connect using Internet Connection Utility I tried Key Chain First Aid and also reset the key chain. No help. Finally trashed the update packages and had to log off before it connected. Any one run into this problem and a fix? Thanks.

  • Wireless Keyboard frequently drops connection after MacBook repair

Just got my MacBook (1st gen, Core Duo) back from repair from an authorized service provider. They replaced the bottom and top case because of cracks. Since then my Apple Wireless Keyboard (the new one from summer '07) keeps dropping the connection every few minutes. I've never had these problems before (running 10.5.1). The weird thing is that the "connection lost" icons pops up but I can still type. Batteries are at 60% the keyboard is just a few inches away from the MacBook. Can this be related to the new top case?

    Hi Benedikt!
The Bluetooth module that allows your machine to communicate with the keyboard is located almost right above the opening to your optical drive on the right-hand side of the machine. It's possible that during reassembly the sensor was not reinserted properly or the short, thin, little wire that runs to the logic board was damaged just enough to "work sometimes."
As you just received it back, I'd recommend contacting the service provider and explain the issue that you're experiencing. The other option, if you have that available to you, is to try connecting another Bluetooth device to your machine and see if it too frequently loses connection. That way you can at least further determine if it's hardware related or peripheral related.

  • USB Ports don't work after sleep mode on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

I have been using my laptop for about a month without a problem, but over the last week or two I have had a problem where I lose access to all of my USB ports when resuming from sleep mode. If I go into hybernate or restart the computer, the ports
miraculously return. The techs at the manufacturer can't figure it out and wanted me to do a full system restore, which is a little too drastic a solution! The only real thing I can connect it to, is I had to use Virtual PC (XP) around the time this
    started.

    Hi Greg,
Microsoft has been fixed this problem, but it is not successful with all PC/Notebook manufacturers. So, the OEM developers itself started giving patch for this issue. I have seen the patch upto Windows Vista version. Lenovo, HP, Dell and other people
are providing this patch. Sony is providing this patch for some selective models. Go to sony support, enter or auto detect your model and check for the update. With Windows 7 SP1 your USB drives should work properly.
Anyway, check the below sony support link to understand how to wake up a USB drive after sleep in Vista, Do the equivalent modification in your Windows 7 PC registry. It will work for you.

  • External display, don´t connect after the upgrade to Lion?

I frequently use an external display when working. Now after the upgrade to Lion the mini dvi port seem to work. Signal goes though but no picture. Display works fine with my other Mac. Really need this to work. Pleas help me out and I´ll buy a new MacBook Pro A.S.A.P .

Still sounds like the display port is not sending out a video signal.
    Try this:
Leave the Mac powered on, close the lid, wait for it to go to sleep. Using an external keyboard, press the space key. This usually activates and wakes the computer back up to using the external display port.

  • Airport wireless loosing connection after sleep

Hi, everyone. every time that my macbook comes back from sleep it does not recognize my network, and start looking for all the networks in my area, so in order to reconnect i have to turn off airport and turn on and then it automatically connect and recognize my network, why is this happening.
please help, i am using airport extreme base station as my router.
    Thanks

Try going to system preferences/network/airport and deleting all the unwanted old connections you have made in the past. Make sure the default is set to the top position of the few you decide to keep. By cleaning this up i found it always found the connection upon wakeup

  • Upgraded Qosmio X500-10T to Win 8.1: Sound drivers for 5.1 over HDMI

    Hello *brilliant* Toshiba community,
I have recently upgraded my Qosmio X500-10T from 64-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit Windows 8.1.
I have left Windows to download driver updates.
My setup: Qosmio (HDMI) => Yamaha AV receiver (HDMI) => Samsun LCD TV.
_The Problem:_ Playing a video file (in MPC-HC) with 5.1 sound only outputs 2 channel PCM.
Would it be better to install the Win 7 drivers from Toshiba even though they are older and for a different OS, or install windows 8.1 drivers from another Qosmio, or leave the Win 8.1 drivers found by Microsoft?
This driver issue is made more problematic as I don't actually know what the technical hardware components are in the machine so its not as though I can find a win 8 driver for them.
As always any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Buzz

    Hi
From my knowledge the Win 7 drivers are totally different from Win 8.1 drivers and I doubt that Win 7 driver would work properly on Windows 8.1 system. However, you can test such Win 7 drivers too. But of course I would recommend you to use the Win 8.1 drivers released for other notebook series.
As Im not mistaken the Qosmio X500 needs 2 sound drivers: Conexant (chip CX20583-10Z) sound driver as well as the nVidia sound driver (for HDMI)
