Qosmio x75 A7170 Wifi trouble

Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased a laptop (model in subject line). It came with Windows 8, but I just couldn't stand using it. I then reverted back to windows 7 x64 ultimate which I used on my last laptop. I'm much more comfortable with this OS, but when I try to install many of the drivers, they simply do not load, state that the OS is not support, and in general are unusable. Unfortunately, the Wireless card appears to be affected by this as well. I have no option to use Wifi (hard wiring works great). When I try to install the wifi drivers, they unzip, I give them permission as administrator, but it stops there. They never finish installing.
As such, I'm not able to use the wireless. I'm hoping I'm not the only person who has done this, and that there is a work around somehwere.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

There are insufficient drivers at the site above for 64-bit Windows 7. But you are in luck. The European site for the equivalent part-number family (PSPLTE) has them. They are here.
The order of installation matters. So you must start over with a clean installation of Windows. Install the Intel chipset software followed by the Intel display driver. Then install the nVidia display driver and the other Intel software prior to other drivers. Install the Value Added Package before other Toshiba utilities.
after chipset installed display driver failed, intel proset installed, no other intel drivers would install. have not moved forward waiting for support.

I have a Qosmio X75-A7170 with windows 8.1 and the software for audio is smart audio also linked wit DTS control panel and audio enhancement, if i use the headpone the audio is flat and low i see the scale of the equilizer and its barely getting up to half of the min and max range i try to unistall update everything regarding to audio and i can make it a little bit louder but nothing like my iphone or my other laptop i change the headphones and is the same my audio driver is a Conexant Smart Audio HD any ideas? thanks.

I am experiencing the same thing with my X75-A7170 and Bose Soundlink Bluetooth headphone.
I tried all the same steps, but still have the same issue.

Video is too slow for audio, the file is .mp4, recorded it with my webcam using Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7170. Also sometimes audio repeats.

For some videos when i record with my webcam on my Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7170, and then place it in Premiere Pro the video seems behind the audio.
Stats about my laptop:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
RAM: 16gb
System type: 64bit
Memory Speed: 1600 mhz
Hard Drive: 1000gb mechanical_hard_drive
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
Graphics RAM: 3072mb
Hard Drive Rotational Speed: 7200 rpm
So the video is behind and occasionally for some reason the audio will repeat or even start over from what sounds were happening in the beginning.
The file that gets saved from recording with my webcam is .mp4. I don't know what else to say but please halp.
The video file plays like normal when i use windows media player.
I am using Premiere Pro CC v8.1

I have the Windows 10 "Get Windows 10" taskbar button and am still waiting for a notification that "Windows 10 is ready for my specific PC." Any word from Toshiba about when this will happen? I have a Surface Pro 2 that upgraded to Windows 10 last week, and so far it's been awesome - very fast and snappy, easy to use, and the upgrade process was a snap. I've heard of people having trouble upgrading from the website, so I'm waiting until I get the specific notice so that I know all the customized drivers are baked into the system.

No audio in TV using hdmi (qosmio x75-A7295 windows 8.1)

The summary of my issue is the following: No audio in the TV when connecting my Toshiba Qosmio x75-A7295 (windows 8.1) to TV LG 42LA6200 using the HDMI.
Well, I would like to know if there's a way to listen to the audio of the mentioned model of laptop using as sound output the TV?
Please I will really appreciate your help since I really need (for work reasons, really urgent) to make people listen to the audio of a presentation I'm working on, but on the TV.

hello, i was trying the headset with my Qosmio X75-A7295 but it seems the system is not registering the microphone.i tried to look at the control panel but its just not showing, its as if i didnt plug it in. i hope someone can help me.

Safari Mobile and WiFi troubles

Hi,
I have some troubles with WiFi connection in my school ONLY, but *only with Safari Mobile*. Weather, iTunes, App Store and Maps work perfectly well, but Safari is lock on the white waiting wheel on a darken screen.
Bellow is what I can find in the logs. The most interesting line is surely the last one. The school uses a radius authentification and a proxy (only HTTP/HTTPS is allowed).
On any other network I have no problem.

The iPad was never designed to be a laptop replacement, and being a reletively low-powered mobile device, where security and battery-life are of utmost importance, doesn't have all the same features as a laptop computer running a full desktop version of Windows or Mac OS X.
Seems like you should've checked whether the sites you need to access are compatible with mobile browsers (not just on the iPad) before spending your money.
Even if Apple suddenly allowed the installation of plugins, that wouldn't instantly solve your problem, since you couldn't just install plugins developed for Windows or Mac OS X. The developers would have to write them for iOS, and there's no guarantee that that would ever happen.
Even Microsoft have virtually abandoned Silverlight, so don't expect that to be appearing on new devices, especially ones not developed by, or using a Microsoft operating system.

HT2471 Wifi trouble- keeps switching off automatically.. Help

Currently using an imac late 2009 with updated OX lion 10.7.4- Having trouble with the wifi, it switches off automatically every 5 to 10 mins but doesn't prompt me for a password when I switch back on. Appreciate any help out there. thank you!

This is a common problem with wifi. The obvious answer is that your channel you have setup your WLAN on is experiencing noise from the surrounding devices (including other dodgy routers) and interferring with the signal.
Try changing your channel number on your router to another channel, usually automatically set to 11. I had no end of problems exactly like this but as soon as I changed channels, not a single drop even after three months.

Replace SSD in Qosmio X75-A7298?

i have a qosmio with 256gb ssd, and a 1tb hdd. When i open the only cover i see, i can locate the memory and hdd as well as what looks like another spot for an hdd (allowing for a total of 3 drives?). is it possible to replace the ssd? if so, how do i get to it?

Your SSD is actually a msata (mini sata). You do have to take apart the whole laptop and flip the motherboard to get access to the msata SSD. Its basically where our 3 lights are, the wifi, power and battery. I took couple pictures when I put in my SSD in this slot if your interested in seeing it.

Ideapad a5500 h wifi trouble

Hello everyone, I've bought brand new tablet (my first ever) yesterday, Idepad a8-50, and I've encountered big problem straight away. My notebook HP ProBook 455 has a wifi hotspot, which was tested on my PocketBook e-reader and works fine, but I'm just unable to make it work with my new Lenovo tablet. Tablet connects, 100% signal strenght, 135 Mbps connection speeed, but connection crashes after 20-30 seconds. It still shows 100% signal, but refuses to reconnect, usually showing something like "Verification poblem", or "Saved, WPA2 verrification". Sometimes it reports "connection denied due to low speed", but 135 Mbps is not slow, is it?! It troubles me a lot, anyone encountered similar problem? I've tried to reset hotspot, turn wifi in tablet off and back on, but still the same problem. Tomorrow I'll go to town and test another wifi in some bar, but I'm affraid I'll have to send it to servis centre just before my vacation (which was the main reason to buy it).

Networks with moderate or weak signal and speed around 20-50 Mbps are no problem to connect to, but the ones with strong signal and better speed are just impossible to use... I'd honestly expect right the opposite... I don't see other option than send it back to the shop as malfunctioning piece.

Wifi trouble with new iMac

I recently got a new iMac (27") and I am having an ongoing problem with wifi connection. It should be noted that other Apple devices -- iPad, iPhone, MacPro laptop, and Apple TV -- do not seem to have any trouble. Nor did my old Mac Pro. But the iMac connection keeps dropping. I have researched this issue in the Apple Support Forum and followed much of the advice, e.g. establishing a new connection identity, adjusting the DNS. While these solutions seemed to work for a while it wasn't long before the problem returned. I have rebooted both the computer and the modem numerous times (it is a DSL connection, BTW). Those actions also seem to help for a while but sometimes they don't help at all.
Since I transferred data from my old Mac Pro I have wondered if I have a preference or permissions issue. I know how to delete preferences when software acts up and that has sometimes been very helpful. But I don't know how to accomplish a similiar fix with the wifi.
Software is up-to-date and I have not encountered any other problems with the iMac.

Wifi trouble immediately after installing the 4.1 update last night

I've had flawless operation of my iPod Touch 3rd generation for a long time, including after the 4.0 update. Since updating to 4.1 last night, I've had nothing but continuous Wifi problems. Upon a fresh reboot, the Wifi will work great. Then after not using the iPod for some period of time (can be as short as a few minutes) when I go back to use the iPod, the Wifi no longer works. Wifi remains connected, and the blue Wifi icon glows with a strong signal strength. Once I initiate something that accesses online data, the gray "rotating circle" turns next to the blue Wifi signal icon - and the gray circle turns, turns, and turns some more. There is no data throughput at all. My Wifi at home is fine. While the iPod is in never-never land, I can freely browse the web on my laptop using Wifi. Online speed tests show me getting over 11 MB / sec on my cable modem. I have to go into the Wifi settings and say "forget this network" and then redo the connection. It will work again for a short time. I've done the "forget this network" and then also the reset network settings, but it failed again within an hour. Nothing has changed on my network side. Anyone else having Wifi problems after the 4.1 update last night?

I've been having the same issues for the past week since downloading latest version. My Safari connections have been very erratic especially every evening from around 930-1100 pm the connection becomes even more unpredictable, I have to keep switching my iTouch on and off to regain access then by 11 pm that's it, end of service! And up pops a message that the safari server is no longer responding! I notice the following morning that emails sent around 1030 pm have finally downloaded around 130 am, so this must be around the time the server reactivates. Has someone set up the Safari server on a timer for those using the iTouch? My laptop connections work fine, so it's not my router or ISP connections. This is getting really annoying!

Wifi trouble: hardware issue or software?

I'm experiencing issues with my wifi connection: it breaks frequently, particularly when it's "stressed out" (video streaming, P2P, remote desktop, etc.).
Theses disconnections have appeared some weeks ago.
I know it doesn't come from my wifi router, since I don't have any problem with another PC from the same place.
I'd like to know whether my wifi card is dying or just poorly driven by my system. Is there a way to know this?

use nmap and nethog to find out more information on the ports and applications that keep hogging the network resources. Might give you more insight.

PLEASE HELP ME! WIFi troubles and i am desperate

2-3 days ago my phone was working fine, i dont use a data plan i always use wifi, my house has wifi, whereever i go i use wifi. I left my phone charging when i got back it started acting strange, i could no longer receive bbm messages, i tried msn and it says 'no data service available'.....the status of my wifi connection is on yellow, but with all this the name of the network is at the top of my screen plus i can use my opera mini to browse and also the default blackberry browser, but nothing else works with the wifi.
I have used desktp manager to erase and reinstall, i have upgraded, i have restarted, i have tried tweaking settings, options that were there before are gone for example, ota upgrade..... i have checked module its getting signal, i am lost, i am desperate and i am getting really sad because i really really need this phone to work, please help me please anyone.....someone.....

I "suspect" that since your Data Plan is on another carrier, and you have roaming turned off, the network is not seeing the device has having a BIS plan. That is my guess.
Further, the fact that it worked before doesn't really matter, since there are several factors which come into play, such as ALL of the BIS data services are enabled by Service Books pushed to your device.For example, BBMessenger is enabled by Service Book, much as email accounts, etc. You could have had the service book required for quite a while since you've been travelling. As much as rebooting the device, and the device seeing it is not connected to a BIS data plan, could remove that service book, since there is no BIS plan.
Even further, your browser, set to HotSpot browser should indeed work with WiFi only and no BIS service... for example, I have next to me a Bold 9000 with NO SIM in the device, at all. I can use the browser to go to most any site, works great, using only WiFi.

Qosmio G55-Q804 WIFI driver doesn't work Vista 32bit Ultimate

I have Vista 32bit Ultimate and everything is loaded and working great EXCEPT my internal WIFI adapter which is an Intel unit.
I would like to know if anyone else has dealt with this issue on this laptop? Is there something I am missing?
Why wont the driver take?
I am an expert IT admin and have handled many pieces of hardware in my life so I am not at a lost to try different tricks and all of them have not worked. If anyone can teach an old dog a new trick to get this to load I would be most apprciative.

Your model has the Intel WIFI Link 5100AGN with the latest drivers version official from Toshiba are 12.0.0.73 and from Intel 12.1.2.1. The WIFI gets autodected by Vista and will by default install the official drivers. If it doesnt do so it can be 1 of 3 things:
1 The miniPCI isn't properly pressed into its socket
2 Software conflict by 3 party install
3 The miniPCI is just plain dead
