QS41 & QS51without trasnport request!!!!!!!

Hello, All.
Here we are with ECC6.0. We have implemented some notes, but before that,,,,,,,,,,
FOR QS41 and QS51, we have done some settings following two things were happening for these two trxns,
1. No any transport request fired.
2. QS41 and QS51 were available for any change / new entry even though the client was not open for customization.
But now after implementing the notes, the system is not responding for the second activity mentioned above.
To do rectify it we have checked,
SOBJ for the object V_QPGR_KAT & V_QPGR_CL. But as soon as we try to change any thing in it, it is asking for the access keys for the object.
Now the actual problem is:-
I have investigated, whether we have registered it while GO LIVE. Surprisingly we are not. So one doubt came in to mind that it was not done through SOBJ it would have done some other way.
Now as per our design you know that QS41 & QS51 is how important and frequent trisection. So pls HELP!!!

Create a custom Function Module , in that write a BDC to create a transport request and add objects to it.

Trasnport Request Error

Dear All,
I am trying to release and transport one request from our BW Quality to BW Production server.
We have only these 2 systems in our landscape (2 System Landscape). I have configured these 2 systems in TMS as standard 2 system landscape.
Our BW Quality server is the DC. We have some of the requests in BW Quality server which are to be transported to BW Production server. When I am trying to release the request (Workbench) it gives the following error:
Object messages: <Object Name>
Only Edit Objects from package Z001 in local requests
I beleive I can change the package. However not sure if it works.
Can any one please help me solve this problem?

Info Pack asks for trasnport request

Dear all,
After Patch Upgrade from EHP4 to EHP 10 , During Info pack edit it is asking for transport request.
we done below setting:
Transport connection>Object changeability>Info Package Type: (ISIP)--->Everything Changeable.
we are in SAP_BW (SAPKW73110) and release 731 , SP Level-10
Error message:
Carry out repairs in non-original system only if they are urgent
Message no. TR850
Diagnosis
This SAP System is not the original system of the object being edited.
System Response
The function continues.
Procedure
Only perform urgent repairs and also maintain these changes in the original system of the object.

I think that setting you have done is not necessary.Just collect your info package by searching & transferring to right side panel in transport connection. Also make sure that your Package is not in $tmp, If needed you can change it by right click on info package and assign there Package.
If info package in standard one then no need of it.
And one more thing I think is make sure you are collecting info package in Development/Correction's Task not in repair one;according to your error message.
Also you can collect your info package directly in your TR by double click on Development/Correction's Task and edit it. In Program Id put "R3TR",
object type "ISIP" and in object name Info pack tech name. Now save it. If any lock problem occurs unlock your task using SE03.
At the end check your TR for info package.

Trasnport Request Problem

I have one query regarding function group.
Suppose in X function group I have A, B & C. function module. I have created new FM as D & store that FM in FG X under transport request ABC101.
At the same time another developer is changing the FM A. But the other develper is not able to create a new transport?
How the other developer can create a new transport request.

Then if I m changing different function module having same function group then why I am not able to create different transport request for different FM?

Error while uploading Transport request

Hi friends,
Error while uploading transport request to the transport directory,
we downloaded the trasnport request from one sap system which have a set of developments
for example downloaded files are;
control file: K900470.SAD and Data file: R900470.SAD fronm transport directory.
we are trying to upload the transport to another Sap system
we have
Uploaded the controlling file K900470.sad to the location  /usr/sap/transpad/cofiles/
Uploaded the controlling file R900470.sad to the location  /usr/sap/transpad/data/
we tried tro add in the import queues using TCODE: STMS
and trying to import.
During import we get
error:
HALT: unknown dynpro format: d021s_length() returned 0 Please contactthe SAP support.
End with rc : 16
Please help me with the problem.

Re-transport the transport request to NQA server after system refresh

Users are moving the transport requests in NQA (quality server) using STMS tcode and Basis team is moving the trasnport requests using TP command in operating system level.
There are some transport requests that are released and are moved only to NQA server but not in Production server.
After the NQA refresh from Production server, we need to re-create the trasnport route for NQA server
in NQA using SE06 and STMS.
Now users want to re-transport the requests again in NQA server that was moved to NQA before the system copy but they are not able to make it. In the transport queue, users are able to see their transport requests but they are not able to re-transport.
When basis team try to move the same transport requests using TP command in operating system level, it failed with error:
- "Transport request is not in buffer".

Amar,
Depending on how many tarnsports you have and also if this is one time, what you can do is ask Basis guys to write a small script which adds to the buffer to your NQA system.
Steps:
1) under /usr/sap/trans/buffer rename the NQA buffer file.
2) create a new empty file NQA (make sure permissions are identical)
3) Provide the list of transports and ask Basis team to put it in a file at Unix level
4) Run a script which will add to the buffer from the source file.
5) From STMS refresh the NQA queue and you should see all the transports ready for import.

Step 1: In BWD go to TCode SE10
Step 2: Find the request and release it (Truck Icon or option can be found by right click on request #)
Note: First release the child request and then the parent request
Steps below are to import transport (generally done by basis )
Step 1: In BWQ go to Tcode STMS
Step 2: Click on Import queue button
Step 3: Double Click on the line which says BWQ (or the system into which transport has to be imported)
Step 4: Click on refresh button
Step 5: High light the trasnport request and import it (using the truck icon)

Trasnport collection issue

I would like to Trasnport an infoobject from Dev to Quality.
I have given Source system assignment correctly.
But when I am trying to collect all related ( i mean all attributes and attributes' attribute), it is giving the following error:
Edit objects separately since they be
original systems
Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'.
I tried in many ways to resolve this.. But I could not collect and almost the trasnport request has failed 4-5 times. Can any one help me how to resolve this.. Its very very urgent

Hi Ananya,
I too had the same issue. I worked on BI7.0 SP9 .
I could solve this by taking few infoobjects at one time rather than taking all at a time. I could find the issues exists with few infoobject like 0PLANT, 0CALMONTH etc..
Let me explain clearly to you now.
I Collect the cube with necessary objects in transport connection
First I select cube and first 10 infoobjects if this is sucessful then select next ten, if you find issue with 10 select five and narrow down the selection for infoobject that is causing the issues. the same needs to be done multiple number of times to collect all the object. I tried a lot but I could not find any other solution than this .

Collecting objects for Transporting
1. rsa1->transport connection
2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'
3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'
4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
5. after objects collection finished, create request
6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.

Operating Concern -COPA.. urgent!!

Hello friends
I've created a couple of new value fields in an operating concern in development box. Also generated the operating concern. It didn't prompt me for any transport request though.
How do I create a trasnport request to transport the new fields to the QAS?
I've tried creating them manually in QAS, but it wouldn't let me to.
I'm sure there are some special transports need to be done in COPA to get the desired results, but don't know what they are..
Can someone help please to resolve this issue?

Thanks for ur answer, but I cannot retransport the operating concern. The op.concern was established 3 years back and I wouldn't risk touching it.
My question is how would I create a trasnport when i create new value fields in an operating concern, so that I can have the same new value fields in QAS as well.

Connection steps for SAP BW and R/3

Hi Every Body,
Can you please explain me detail about the connectivity between R/3 and BW.
General steps which am aware is as follws;-
SAP R/3 steps to be performed
1. Define Logical system---->(e.g ABC100)
2. Assign client to logical system -->(100)
3. Define RFC Destination.(Here I assume I have to give Destination user name and password should be the user which have SAP_ALL authorization) Am I right.
SAP BW Steps:-
4. Define Logical system---->(e.g ABC100)

6. Define RFC Destination.(Here I assume I have to give Destination user name and password should be the user which have SAP_ALL authorization) Am I right.
Then in BW Environment in RSA1->Source Systems->right click and choose Create
There are two options available for R/3 system one is Manual and one is Automatic.
For Manual creation we give RFC Destination should be BW system and Logical system should be R/3 and Source system name is xyz.
Is there any other steps am missing.What about the inbound and outbound Idoc Parameters.
I feel this will help while transferring data to BW.am I right.
Please clearly explain the steps for R/3 and BW connectivity.

Yes you have to connect to 200 only. Not to 100.Other wise you will not get data from R/3 to BW.
What is the Use of Transport Button in RSA6.Post Processing data sources.
It will be used to create Trasnport requests on DS .
Suppose if i activate data source from Customizing client(100)and click on Transport button in RSA6 if there is connection with this client to BW. What is the Impact.
It will not give any impact on BW. Actually it ask you to create a Transport requset by Prompting the message box. After click on create button and entering the description, it will create a transport request.
Clearly explain me in detail what happen when i choose Transport Button in RSA6 for BC data sources.
It is must and should process. Because you will not activate(using of RSA5) the DS in quality R/3 system. So to use this DS in QA system, you will import the Transport request creatd in DEV r/3.
In your case, you will use client 100 for activating the DS and creating Transport reuests. And then these DS are automatically available in client 200, because DS are Client independent.

I am new to HR. I have ECC 6.0/windows 2003/oracle on my desktop. I am trying to create a Org Structure using PPOCE and when i saved it asked for the trasnport request. I have created this transport request. when i get out of T-code PPOCE and come back again I am unable to find my org structure that was created earlier. Can you guys help me how to find my org structure.

Org structure is client dependent and it cannot be transported. I am not really sure why it is prompting for a transport when you save a Org structure. Ideally it shouldn't. And about viewing the created Org structure did you try the transactions PPOME or PPOSE --> from the left navigation pane Structural search. Hope you will be able to find the org structure with PPOME, PPOSE.
