QSIG issue with accessing a Voice System on a Meridian
I have a Voice Gateway (2551) connecting a Meridian with the Cisco IP Telephony setup. The Callmanager is connected with QSIG to the Meridian.
Basic call feature work fine. But i do have problems with accessing the Voicemail System on the meridian. Accessing the own Voicemailbox is also fine.(Accessing from 1111 on the Voice System (5959) the Voicebox of 1111) If i now forward the calls on 1111 to the Voice System and i make a call from 2222 to 1111 i will get to the voicemail system but not to the voicebox of 1111. Seams to me that the Voice System needs more information about 1111. On the QSIG Trunk i am sending the 1111 as the redirecting number along. Does somebody expirience such issues?
Are there settings to change on the callmanager or on the meridian side? Also the MWI works fine.
Thanks for any help on this issue. Regards
Roger
Hi,
i do not know about the batches on the meridian side but i could find it out. i am only responsible for the cisco ip telefony side and i do not really know the meridian side. i'm working together with a technician who is doing the meridian side.
How can i find out which batches are needed and what is the impact to install them?
And what did you mean with little flaky...is it not supporting qsig the way it should?
Regards
Roger

Issues with accessing HD on Time Capsule
I have a Windows 7 32 bit machine that I just built. I have a Windows XP system and a Mac Book Pro running Snow leopard. My XP and Mac are able to access the HD of my Time Capsule. My Windows 7 is having issues logging into the Time Capsule HD. When trying to log into the base station using the Airport Base Station Utility I get a message stating "Unknown user, incorrect password, or login is disabled. Please retypre the login information or contact the disk's administrator (86)." I have the AirPort Utility installed on my Windows 7 and am able to log into the settings to modify the settings of the Time Capsule. Does anyone have any insight as to how to assist me?
Note: Mac 3 had a single user on it, my son. He was the admin. I created a new non-admin acct and moved all his stuff there (Not sure I did it the right way so it took a long time.). Now I am admin on that Mac. Not sure if that is relevant here (leading to the problem identified above) but thought I would mention it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
The fact that you cannot access the backup now only on this Mac does suggest this is part of the issue. Did you do this before or after the issue with access?
Permissions can be pretty tricky things.. certainly to do backups or to retrieve them from an existing backup created with different user permissions might be a mess.. Pondini is perhaps the only one who can tell you the ins and outs of that.
On the more general note.. lots of people are having issues with USB drive on the TC from Lion.. for many it stops working forever the moment the disk spins down from a reboot.. making it useless.
But it is dog slow for everyone.. The reality is USB is less than half its native speed on the TC cf on the computer.. and it wasn't that fast to begin with.
Plug the hard drive directly into the computer and mount the sparsebundle and see if the TM then can access it.. but you might need to use your admin login not your son's.
Personally if the TC disk is not big enough.. replace the TC with a larger disk version.. or the disk in the present one.. do not use disks hanging off TC. It has enough reliability issues without adding to them. -
Z40-70 compatibility issue with your power management system
I noticed today that the Action Center says "Compatibility issue with your power management system." The description underneath is: Your power management system isn't working peoperly because a compatible driver is not available for this version of Windows. When I click on View message details it just says "Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later." All power related functionalities however seem to be working. Battery is charging; battery percentage is showing; I can adjust screen brightness. I am not sure when exactly this problem started but it defenitely was not there before. Tried downloading and fixing the Power Management Software and updating BIOS. Still have the same message. System: Windows 8.1 64-bit
What model do you have? Can you post your MTM or model name?
Sometimes these messages are a false alarm. -
Yoga 2 pro / win8.1 - "Compatibility issue with your power management system"
Hi,
After downgrading form win10 back to 8.1 due to endless driver malfunction and a significant decrease in overall performance, I got this message in windows action center: “Compatibility issue with your power management system”. When I click on it it says: This solution could not be downloaded
Most likely causes:
• Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later. As you can see, my internet connection is fine. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks,
DanielCheck if installing this helps you:

If you already did this, check if you can do this BIOS update as well:

How to change lookup code with Access Level as 'System'
Hi,
I need to append new lookup codes in a lookup type having access level as 'SYSTEM'. Is there any standard way to do the same or just updating the customization level column will do ? Please let me know if you have any solution for this.
Regards
GirishYou can also change the meaning on that value to something like "*** DO NOT USE***". This will make it obvious to the user that he/she should not choose it.
You can try to add a when-validate-record personalization to show error if someone selected a disabled value.
You can also try to modify the list of values associated with the field using personalizations.
If nothing else works, you can use a SQL to uncheck the enabled flag. The risks involved in this are well known.
Hope this answers your question

Any known issues with Unicode apps in System 9 Analytic Services ?
We have installed System 9.2.0.2 Analytic Services on an AIX server. It was installed as a non-Unicode server. I am exploring enabling the server for Unicode, and then setting non-ASO apps to Unicode enabled. We don't need multi-lingual features, but we would like to be able to have calc scripts, report scripts, and load rules with names more than 8 characters long.<BR><BR>Apparently, during the planning for upgrading to System 9, a consultant advised against setting Unicode on. But no specifics were given on why he advised against it.<BR><BR>Is anyone aware of any downsides to Unicode enabled ? I know that ASO apps can't use it, but the server is supposed to support having some apps running in Unicode mode and others not. It's understood that if you have a Unicode app, and it needs to switch to ASO, that any long names would require name changes.<BR><BR>The thing I'm wondering is why that consultant said that, so I wonder if anyone knows of issues.<BR><BR>If no issues are known, than can anyone who is running Unicode mode in System 9.2 speak up and tell me that they are doing fine with no issues ?

Issue with same R/3 system ID - Client in XI landscape
Hi there,
<b>WHAT:</b>
We are experiencing a serious problem in our XI landscape.
The source of the problem is due to different SAP systems within the same landscape which have the same system ID and client nr. Our customer has divided its business into internal companies which use different SAP boxes/instances but share the same XI environment.
<b>HOW:</b>
All systems have been defined in SLD as technical and business systems. This is an example how it looks like in SLD:
DEV on business-system1; client 200
DEV on business-system2; client 200
PRD on business-system5; client 400
PRD on business-system6; client 400
<b>WHEN:</b>
When we try to add a second business system/service (in the integration-builder directory) with the same combination of System ID (i.e. DEV) and client nr. (e.g. 200), XI does not allow you to activate this second system.
The error message we get; There's already another system configured in the directory with this same combination of system ID + client.
Is this behavior normal? Why is the integration-builder/directory looking at the technical details of the configured systems in SLD?
Is this a feature or a bug?
Please send me any feedback or some clues how to figure out what's going on here, tnx all.
Rob.

Sravya,
Actually that's the situation we have now; we have two different BS (in this case with the same attributes: SYSTEM ID=DEV and CLIENT=200.) installed on top of two different TS's. This configuration is not accepted by the Directory in the configuration builder. As I said before when you try to add the second BS with the same attributes, XI generates an error that does not allow you to activate the change list.
So these two BS's have to be configured in SLD as different BS's, otherwise XI would not be able to correctly do the technical routing.
What I dont understand is why is XI looking at technical data from this systems at configuration time ? As far I know at configuration time XI is only suppose to work with data declared in the business system information and not at technical details like system ID's and client numbers. These kind of information belongs to the SLD layer and not at configuration level.
<i>Please correct me if Im wrong, tnx.</i>

Issues with Shared Variables in Systems Running for Extended Periods of Time
I am designing a large SCADA system using LabVIEW DSC and cRIOs. My plan is to use shared variables to communicate the majority of the information across my network (much like "tags" in a normal SCADA system).
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced issues (connection failures, etc...) with shared variables running on systems for months (both real-time and windows based PCs) without the cRIO or PC being restarted/redeploying the variables. What is the stability of the Shared Variable Engine over extended periods of time?
Thank you for the input.
--CLD--
LV 6.1, 8.6.1, 2011 SP1, 2012 SP1I have a system with 2 cRIO's each with Ethercat extension chassis. Each cRIO hosts ~100 NSV's and is running the scan engine at 40 Hz.
Each cRIO is coupled to a HMI that has front panel control bindings to NSV's hosted on the cRIO as well as a windows hosted mirror library (used for citadel db logging) that is also bound to the cRIO NSV library. The cRIO's have monay months of contiguous run time without reboot and I closely monitor cpu and memory usage and also rt performance metrics and will log faults if there are any such events. I also use NSV's for messaging from the HMI to the cRIO for such things as setting zero offset values and deploying configuration parameters. My overall findings are that the SV engine and the PSP are stable and efficient (especially NSV<->NSV and NSV<->HMI binding) -
Issue with accessing members by dates
Hi,
i have one issue that Based on the start and end dates ,the qty and cost for a specific product line should be accessed.
Here is the description...
START DATE END DATE QTY COST
RM1 1/9/2009 30/9/09 0.1 2
RM2 1/10/09 31/10/09 0.2 1.5
i need to accesss the products(rm1,rm2) based on the start date and end date..
pls post it with detail....As per your dimension members you want to see the numbers for period of fullmonth(01 SEP to 30 SEP).
For this case you dont need two dimensions, one dimension is enough at month level and you can use the alias name for the reporting purpose.
If the data is coming for various startdate and end date and you want to see the data for various combinations, you can maintain two calender dimensions.
Essbase will calculate the aggregated numbers for the various combinations.
You dont need another time dimension. -

Issue with NAS (Network audio system)
Hi people. I think i have very basic issue but i don't know his solve.
Im downloading and install NAS 1.9.4 and its ok.
But if I'm try to start server using cmd:
nasd -v
I get this output:
Network audio system Release 1.9.4
Init: Output open(/dev/dsp) failed: No such file or directory
Fatal server error:
could not create audio connection block info.
I know error. /dev/dsp location doesn't exist. But i don't know how to change audio device location in nasd.conf file.
Thanks for help and sorry for my English.
Ondrej DvorakYou could use oss emulation that alsa-oss package comes with:
cat /etc/modules-load.d/50-oss-alsa-emulation.conf
#Alsa OSS Emulation
snd-pcm-oss
snd-mixer-oss
snd-seq-oss
That would create /dev/dsp. But looking at /etc/nasd.conf you could just change the output section device from /dev/dsp to /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p or similar and mixer to controlC0 or similar. -
How to test issue with accessing tables over a DB link?
Hey all,
Using 3.1.2 on XE, I have a little app. The database schema for this app only contains views to the actual tables, which happen to reside over a database link in a 10.1.0.5.0 DB.
I ran across an issue where a filter I made on a form refused to work (see [this ApEx thread| http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3178959] ). I verified that the issue only happens when the view points to a table across a DB link by recreating the table in the local DB and pointing the view to it. When I do this, the filter works fine. When I change the view back to use the remote table, it fails. And it only fails in the filter -- every other report and every other tool accessing the remote table via the view works fine.
Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this? For kicks, I also tried using a 10.2.0.3.0 DB for the remote link, but with the same results.
TIA,
Rich

Rich,
I searched metalink for your issue. This may be a bug in 3.1 which will be fixed in 4.0. Please see Doc ID 740581.1 Database Link Tables Do NoT Show Up In Table Drop Down List In Apex. There is a workaround mentioned in the document.
I'm not sure why I never thought of searching MetaLink, but thanks for the pointer! It doesn't match my circumstances, however. The Bug smells like a view not being queried in the APEX development tool itself -- i.e. the IDE's coding needs changing, not necessarily those apps created with the IDE.
I'm working on getting you access to my hosted app...
Thanks,

I am really sorry to ask u such question.. What is .c file? Actually I am using c# dll. Java JNI requires a specific linkage which in general means that the JNI shared library must be written in C or C++.
What happens in that shared library is up to you. However note that fairly recent posts on this forum indicate that there are some complications about correctly using a JNI shared library with C#. Somewhere there is a thread that discusses it.
You might also consider just creating a separate executable with a comm interface (sockets, files, stdio) rather than using JNI. There are advantages to that including that it can't take down the VM (bad coding on your part in JNI can) and it is much easier to test. -
Big Issue with access applicationwise using SSO (windows AD)
Hello BO Guru's,
I have one big issue. i will try to explain my scenario here in brief.
Scenario
Currently we have 3 application A,B & C in production and SSO is configured using windows AD auth
application -> User group -> Access -> Win AD group
A | UG1 | Infoview | WD1
B | UG2 | Infoview | WD2
C | UG3 | WebIntl | WD3
Here Infovew acces refers to: View objects & refresh object of applicationwise.
WebI refers infoview access in addition to that copy document from corporate to personal folder\ category and scheduling access.
Note: corporate Folder\category & universe\connection right given appropriately.
Issue
Suppose user a belong to WD1 means wuld have access to application A with infoview access. now after some time i.e. 2-3 days when user a is deleted from WD1 and and added to WD3 means would have access to application C with WEbi access. But issue is
When user a logs on to infoview sometimes appllication A is also visible along with application C which is not correct securitywise.
Could you please help me as how resolve it? and please share your views if anybody has faced same prob before
I think some where userwise security setting will be stored causing same.
Thanks & RegardsMany Thanks Julian Jimenez,
FYI, I am on BOXI R3.1 with FP1.8
I dont have access to SIA to restart CMS.
any i will get it done.
But what i was thinking of, there would be some cache maintned for user profiles of last logins. so it may remember last user profile login which may causing apllication A still shown under corporate folder for him\her.
But i am not able to get how can i achieve it?
Please share some workaround if any body has faced same issue before.
Thanks & Regards
