QT 7.0.4: still no way to view embedded timecode

QT 7.0.4 still doesn't have any mechanism to view the embedded timecode track of a file.
What is the quickest / easiest / most effective way to get at the timecode data?
PowerMac Dual G5 2.5   Mac OS X (10.4.4)   1GB RAM

I'm having the same exact problem. I just installed the new version of itunes but for some reason now I get no audio at all in Quicktime. Files which play fine in Divx or BSPlayer get nothing in QT.
I get no error messages it's just silent. Please help.

  • Is there a way to view the timecode in iMovie for Mac?

Is there a way to view the timecode in iMovie for Mac?  This is such a basic feature needed for editing; I can't believe it wouldn't be available.  Am I missing something?

Do the math means you know the timecode at the beginning of each clip and when you mouse over a transition or clip you know the clip length. If you trim the clip you see how much you are trimming. With these numbers you can caulate the cursor position or find the timecode value at any frame in the clip. I am not saying it is an elegant process by any means, but if you really need to, this will work. Obviously it is a grievius situation Apple has left us in regarding timecode.

  • Is there a way to view embedded files in a Word doc that you have PDF'd?

We embed as objects different types of files (i.e, pdf, excel, etc.) into our word documents.  When those documents are PDF'd, you cannot open the files as they become pictures.  Is there anyway I can have the embedded files open in PDF as they do in the Word document?

You can embed PDF file in word document by converting PDF to Doc, for this conversion you need PDF to Doc converter.
Or you can also embed PDF file in word as image by convert PDF to Image and attach image of PDF page in Doc, for this conversion you need PDF to Image converter.
There are many PDF converter available on web that can perform this conversion like Adobe Acrobat, Nitro and Classic PDF etc. I am using classic PDF, it can easily perform both of above conversion along with many other features. It is reliable and afordable PDF software.
If you have any question feel free to ask.

Only the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

  • If I didn't buy ap to locate phone is there still a way to locate phone if stolen?

If I didn't buy ap to locate phone is there still a way to locate phone if stolen? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

There is no app that you needed to buy. If you set up the Find My iPhone service in the iPhone's settings prior to your iPhone going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors: the iPhone is turned on, connected to either the 3G or a WiFi network, or has not had the Find My iPhone service disabled or the iPhone been completely restored. Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. If you did not set up Find My iPhone, check with your cell carrier. Some carriers offer their own tracking service, though you usually have to sign up when you still have the phone and have to pay for the service.
If your carrier does not offer such a service and you did not set up Find My iPhone, then there is no way to track the unit. Notify the police and your cell carrier, and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPhone (the iTunes Store, for instance).
    Regards.

  • In the new iOS 7.0.2 update, I can no longer find the iTunes Radio in the music application. Has it been removed, or is there still a way to access it?

In the new iOS 7.0.2 update, I can no longer find the iTunes Radio in the music application. Has it been removed, or is there still a way to access it?

    Hi jdog44,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  iTunes Radio should be accessible from the bottom of the Music app screen as shown in this article:
    About iTunes Radio
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5848
You could try completely closing the Music app:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    A restart may also help:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

  • I just bought a new ipad 2, but cannot use it as it only shows the itunes logo and a cable. This means it's telling me to connect to itunes. I've done this and performed sync, still no way out. I have been told by friends to "unlock" it. Please how?

Have you already activated the iPad? That is what the screen is telling you to do - connect to the computer with the supplied cable and run iTunes while connected - and iTunes should guide you through the set up process. If you have already set up the iPad and you are still getting thos screen message - restore your iPad. You must be running iTunes 10.5 on your computer as well.
    Restore iPad
If you can't restore this way, you will need recovery mode.

  • Still no way to access a PL/SQL package record type ?

Sorry if this is a recurrent question...
Is there still no way to set/retrieve input/output parameters of a PL/SQL package procedure/function through JDBC that is of type RECORD ??????
I'm not considering wrapping up through objects or strings. Rather new versions of JDBC driver.
How about SQLJ (don't know anything about that one. Does it call stored procedures ?
Would it support package stored procedure ?
    And RECORD types ?
Just out of curiosity as i'm setting off to breaking up all my types into individual arguments. What a pain !!!!!!!!!
    Thx.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
We were arriving to a similar conclusion...
There is however one BIG reason of being disapointed :
    - I did not know that (since I'm only Oracling since January) but objects do not accept attributes the type of which would be defined by refering the type of an existing column :
    Such as :
CREATE TYPE type_customer AS OBJECT (
    cust_id CUSTOMERS.CUSTOMER_ID%TYPE,
I have no idea why RECORDs can do it but object can't.
To summarize it all we can use RECORDs but they are not seen through JDBC drivers and we can use OBJECTS but they don't map to column types... Unfortunate !
Now to answer your question, at the moment I'm thinking of rewriting the routines rather than wrapping them up. Only around ten of them... So that the tool you mention is not needed.
Just have to proofOfConcept it but that's the latest options we are considering...
Thanks for the pointer I look it up right away...

You could define a Customer Object type and create PL/SQL wrapper procedures/functions that take these as arguments and call your original PL/SQL SP. Unfortunately, right now you would have to do that by hand (JPublisher only gives you a Java representation of the Customer object type) - if there were a tool to generate the Object type and the PL/SQL wrappers, would you expect to use that?
For an example of doing this (albeit in a pedestrian way) see: http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle8i/doc_library/817_doc/ java.817/a81357/sampcod8.htm#1042848 <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Yes, the old fashion way, look for it.
If you didn't enabled find my iphone in icloud settings, then you can't search for it online.

I don't know anything about the transfer process but I found some links that might possibly help you. Also some sites that deal with older and obsolete Mac products that have forums where you could make additional inquiry. Good luck.

  • Still no ways to kill fullscreen applications?

I'm not sure if I'm getting this wrong. But it seems like at 10.6, Apple still didn't release control to the users. When a fullscreen application freezes (nothing else, just the application), there is still no ways to kill the application. +Q doesn't work, OptEsc doesn't work, +Tab doesn't work.
In linux I can switch to another tty and in Windows, Alt-Tab typically still works in applications, as do Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Under the hood, mac does have one of the best OS around but why doesn't Apple allow users control their own OS yet?
Having to force shutdown a computer just because one application crashed (I can still control brightness etc) is ridiculous. Telling me to ssh into my own computer while I should still have control of it is even more ridiculous

I'm not sure if I'm getting this wrong. But it seems like at 10.6, Apple still didn't release control to the users.
You're getting it wrong. See below.
When a fullscreen application freezes (nothing else, just the application), there is still no ways to kill the application. +Q doesn't work, OptEsc doesn't work, +Tab doesn't work.
If the force quit keys don't work, then you need to be blaming the maker of the fullscreen application, not Apple. If the app doesn't let you use the standard command-Q keystroke, again, blame the maker of the app. If it doesn't let you switch to other apps through standard methods like command-tab... yeah, you know what I'm going to say.
Apple provides a very good set of tools. If an app uses skanky methods to disable things that shouldn't be disabled or doesn't provide support for standard keystrokes (like command-Q), that is not Apple's doing.
Fact is, I've never had trouble with command-option-escape to force quit a fullscreen app. That always works fine for me. It's not uncommon for fullscreen apps to prevent switching via command-tab, and it's also not uncommon for some fullscreen games to not support command-Q.
Under the hood, mac does have one of the best OS around but why doesn't Apple allow users control their own OS yet?
Let me get this straight... you are choosing to run a fullscreen application that restricts what you are allowed to do, and you are complaining that Apple is not allowing you to control your OS? That's a joke...

  • Is there a relatively easy way to view deleted safari history or pages viewed for an iphone? Browser has been cleared, cookies have been cleared, but I'm wondering if the information is still accessible in my phone somehow?

As I say, internet has been cleared, and under settings, the advanced cookies &amp; history has also been cleared. Is there an easy way of viewing this info again?
Also, the "private browsing" option, is there a way of disabling it or at least having that option password protected?
And what is "web inspector"? Is that something that I can set up on my pc that will monitor iphone activity?
    Thanks!

Just wondered if there was another way?
If doing a restore is the only way, would someone be able to tell me how to do it and whether or not I will have a heck of a time getting all my info &amp; apps back onto my phone afterwards?
    Thanks!
How does this relate to your first post?
Are you talking about restoring as new? or restoring to a backup?
    Why are you restoring?
If it is to recover History  and you think that you have a backup that contains the missing history you could restore to that. Doing this will restore your iPad to the state that it was in at the time of the backup, Apps, Games, etc.
Note that there are PC and Mac applicatons that can read iPad backup files and extract information. Check the internet for these. I do no know if they extract Safari History.
