QT 7 Icon no longer showing since 10.6.7 update

Hello,
QT 7 Icon no longer showing since 10.6.7 update
Realized the QT icon is missing when I was doing command-tab to move through apps. Just a blank space.
It also is not showing in my dock. Just a blank space.
The icon appears next to the title in my applications folder.
Any ideas why or how to fix?
QT X icon visible. (Never use it as it isn't very smart)

Reset the device did not help me but it does triggers me to attempt to resend the PDF file attachment on email--and it works the 2nd time. My problem is now solved.
The Adobe Reader is very helpful--it allows me to scroll through the document easily, unlike iBooks, where I cannot scroll straight up or down.

I can not eject my ipod as the device icon no longer shows up

I can not eject my ipod from Itunes as the device icon no longer shows up in Itunes. I looked on line but none of the solutions were possible to follow as the various options indicated just weren't there!

Text/missed call indicator icons no long showing

This is a minor thing, but I prefer to have the area below the clock and above the list of icons to show me alerts such as that I have a text msg or a missed call or a voicemail. It was doing this before but for some reason now all I get is the blinking red light but the alert icons are no longer showing up.
I looked through the forums and couldnt find anything also tried to mess with settings but haven't come up with anything.

Emails and Texts will always have an audio and vibration (if turned on) cue when something comes in. Text messages and toasts will turn on the phone to show you the message for a brief period same as the iPhone and any Andriod device.
In regards to a notification light, no such thing in Windows Phone Nokia devices.
All you have to do is turn on the phone and on the lock screen you should see your missed calls, emails and texts. Toast messages will not be displayed on the lock screen. We'll have to wait for Windows Phone 8.1 next month to get a notification center type interface.

TS4085 After updating my iPhone 4s and my iPad 2 to iOS 5.1 I can no longer use the mirroring or AirPlay features with my Apple TV. Before the update it worked fine on all devices. After the update the AirPlay or mirroring icon no longer shows up.

I went through all the troubleshooting steps and it still does not work. Checked wifi, home sharing , Internet connection, etc... Anyone have a solution?

Is your Apple TV "awake"? Sometimes the AirPlay icon won't show for me if the Apple TV is sleeping - pressing a key on the Apple remote ususally resolves it.

Printer Icon no longer shows up on hotmail with windows 7 and firefox

I discovered the printer function is still there but the icon does not show up within hotmail. If you go to print in the main menu it will print the entire screen including all folders etc. Also the entire hotmail site format is strange format and not as it appears in other programs like internet explorer or google chrome. I checked solutions for this and nothing suggested helped (like changing view style to basic page, clearing cache etc).

When you say associated devices - are you referring to authorized devices within iTunes (i.e. devices that are able to access your iTunes account)? Or do you mean your registered devices when you log into your Apple ID on Apple's website?

Filling in forms and clicking continue no longer works since the last Firefox update. Please help!

Since downloading the latest update for firefox, I can no longer complete forms or orders online. I click continue and it keeps me where I am only the form is once again blank. Is there A filter setting I can change or what can be done so I can operate on this firefox as I did before the update? Example it happened when I tried to book a flight on united.com and place an order on puritan.com

Alco, that was ''sort of'' helpful.
I changed the default value to 2, and that at least made a download appear in the download window. However, if I close the window and reopen it, it's blank again. And it won't show more than one download going at once. AND I can't pause or cancel downloads.
I really don't want to reset Firefox, but I suppose I will if I have to.

IPhone emailed pictures no longer showing up as attachments after update to IOS 6.1.3

When emailing photos, they no longer show up in my Outlook email as attachments after I updated my iPhone4S to IOS6.1.3. They did just prior to this update. Anyone know why?

You should be able to right click and save the or copy the image. But, there may be a configuration in Outlook that is determining how the attachement is encoded or handled preventing this. (could also be on teh Exchange server).
For what it is worth, I test from my iPhone to my work account (Outlook client via Exchange server) and did have an issue.
Do you use a signature on your iPhone? If not, set one and try that. I know it sounds odd, but give it a go.

Correct display resolution no longer showing after 10.5.7 update

Hi,
The native resolution for my display (HP w2207h) no longer shows up in the displays preference pane. It should be 1680x1050 but the nearest resolutions showing are 1600x900 or 1920x1080 which both look pants,
It's connected via DVI-HDMI cable and had no trouble before. I cannot find a way to change what resolutions show in the display preference, I've tried trashing various preferences but still no joy.
Any ideas?

Apple TV icon is not showing on macbook pro after update to Mountain lion

I wanted to try Mirroring from my macbook pro to my tv using the new airplay update from Mountain lion but the icon is not showing after the update.

I got around to disabling FAVICON PICKER 2 version 0.6.2.15 and the tab icons came flooding back - perfect. I will still be able to use the FAVICON add-on when I would like to add an icon to a bookmark and the disable it again so I have the best of both worlds.

Airplay icon no longer shows up on my computer

I have Apple TV and have always had an airplay icon on my menu bar. I updated to the newest version of OSx and now it no longer appears. I know my device supports it, but not sure what happened.

Check System Preferences to make sure the box is checked to show Airplay in the menu bar.

Why does my printer icon no longer show on topleft?

The printer icon used to be at top left . There is a printer icon on bottom right but clicking on it does not get my printer printing.

The default Firefox toolbar layout doesn't show a Print button, either top or bottom. See if this helps you.

Application "Icons" no longer showing up in Application Catalog

We have around 500 "Applications" in our application catalog, and make heavy use of the Application Catalog for user self installations. Additionally, we had painstakingly gone through and added "icons" to every application to show up
in Software Center/Application Catalog to make things look "pretty" This had all been working as expected for over a year up until yesterday.
We were rolling out a new App Catalog Website/Web Service (2 servers) to replace our current. I removed the roles from the old one, added to the new. Everything works, software installs work, but no icons show up in the App Catalog. They DO however show
up fine in Software Center. I then reverted the change, putting the role(s) back on the previously working server. No dice, still no icons.
Been playing with it for almost a week, here is what I can discern:
No Icons show up at all, whether custom icons, shell32.dll default icons, or other.
All types do show up in software center after an install is initiated.
The permissions on the "AppIcons" folder are correct (RO to domain users), but the folder itself is empty
No Errors reported on any Roles, or Services (all green)
Modifying an app (removing and re-adding icon) has no effect, still doesn't show up in App Catalog.
Making a NEW app (with new icon) has no effect, still doesn't show up in App Catalog.
Is anyone familiar with the "How do icons get onto the app catalog" process? I assumed they all dumped to the AppIcons folder, but maybe not? Does anyone know what process/log controls this?

Wanted to follow up and post a solution to this.
Working with MS support, we were able to identify it as a permissions issue.
Our implementation spans multiple domains, multiple forests, so we have to add in the additional Domains Users with permissions to the "ApplicationCatalog" and "Usericons" folders. I chose to do this via GPO as we have several app
catalog servers, and this seemed "more consistent" to me.
I mistakenly assumed that the privs were identical on both folders when I configured it in GPO. Though very similar, they aren't identical and there are a few extra privs for the SCCM account(s) on the UserIcons folder, which allows it to "write"
to that folder. Simple Fix. Whoops!
Working with MS, I learned a bit more about how the App Catalog works, that I haven't seen written anywhere, so I'll include some of that here. All icons are stored in the SCCM database, and are accessible via the primary site server and WMI. However,
they are "cached" on each application catalog in the appicons folder. This process doesn't happen on a schedule, but rather happens when a user opens the application catalog (on demand). Any icons not retrieved and cached, are cached at that time.
In my case, I had made the GPO change 6 months prior, but no "new" icons had been added, we had been reusing them from app to app (Firefox icon stays the same, and so on). Therefore, it appeared to still be working fine and all icons showed up. In
my case, When I rebuilt the server(s) they needed to "re cache" the icons. When I reverted the app catalog to the old server to revert the change, it also had to "re-cache" the icons as they were deleted when the role was removed, which
was denied.
Hopefully this will help someone in the future if they ever have a similar issue.
