QT 7 will NOT recognize my registration - already paid for
How do I force QT to accept a new registration? There appears to be a trace of an old registration that needs to be removed. Anyone know how to do this?
It is frustrating to have paid for a license and not be able to use it.

Open the email confirmation that you received from Apple.
Open the QuickTime Preference Pane and the Registration tab.
Use copy from the email and switch to the registration window and paste.
Even a missing middle initial in the name will cause the registration to fail. Copy/paste avoids many common errors like a zero where the letter O was used.

To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the new ID. If you only changed your ID and didn't create an entirely new ID, you can choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted. Your data will download back to your phone when you sign back in.
Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll before deleting the account. Deleting the account deletes the photo stream photos from your phone. -
My ipad will not turn on/charge. has been charging for hours. Itunes will not recognize it and i have tried the power/sleep button as well. PLEASE HELP!
Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it hasn't been, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 will not recognize Epson V600 Photo scanner for film ?
For some reason the WIA support in PE9 will only recognize the scanner for reflective prints not film, why ?
But, in the PE 6 the Epson V600 scanner is recognized for film scanning,, in professional mode and automatic.
Any clues ?

I have a Firefox account on my computer using Windows 7, I have a username/password with a gmail E-mail address.
I installed Firefox Beta on Nexus 7, tried to log-in will not allow me to says the username/ E-mail already in use Duh! but I cannot log-in or register with my E-mail Why?
I set-up a sync account a couple of years ago but have not be using but I still have the account info, Have not tried because I cannot sign-in to firefox. IBook does not download and it is paid for
Book will not Dowload as it was paid for. Many tries to reload fail when item says paid for-it is called Cool It.
I just had the same problem. I paid for a book on my iPad, then a popup came up saying that the terms and agreements had changed and I had to agree (of course). So I jumped through all those hoops including another popup that asked me if I was sure I really wanted to buy the book, so I clicked yes and afterward the book showed up in my library with the download progress bar but it never downloaded. I can't do anything with it. So now I'm stuck with a 35.00 book that I can't read as of yet. :/

When I try to install WinXP using bootcamp, the iMac will not recognize the CD after it has already read all the information and is ready to begin installation. What is the problem?
If your on 10.6.8 like you should be for security/stability updates, somewhere along the line a later Bootcamp version was issued and only supports Win 7.

My itunes will not recognize my ipod touch
I'm using a Mac desktop and it/my itunes will not recognize my ipod touch. I have resent my ipod and have also done all the suggested things on the apple website and still it is not being recognized, I do not know what else I can do. My macbook will recognize my ipod touch but I don't want to sync it to that itunes since it is already out of date, I want to sync it to my desktop mac where I already have the latest version of itunes, and all the music I want to sync onto my ipod touch. What can I do?

- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Reinstalled Itunes for Windows will not recognize ipod touch 3rd generation.

the best thing i think you could do is go to an apple store or uninstall itunes and reinstall it one more time and see what happens

I purchased a Western Digital 2TB External Drive ( WDBAAUOO20HBK-01 ) to free up my packed Internal HDD. I made sure it was a "USB 2.0" device. But the PC will not recognize the external HDD device.

I have iMovie 09. I just erased my external hard drive, but it is still formatted for the mac. However, iMovie will not recognize the hard drive. It shows the only hard drive available is the computers. How do I get the external hard drive to show up?
In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

My computer will not recognize my IPhone 4 after being updated
I was updating my iphone and the screen changed to "plug into itunes" in the middle of it, but it was already plugged in. Now my computer will not recognize that my iphone is plugged in and it is stuck on the "plug into itunes" screen. what should I do? It makes a sound when I plug it into my computer but not the same sound that it usually makes when I normally plug it in.

Some of those things which concern itunes also help with your problem. In particular try rebooting the computer, try a different USB cable to attach the phone or try a different port -

Recently purchased W500 4061- W6U with Mat$hita BD-MLT UJ232A optical drive at Firmware level "TC02" will not recognize a brand new Blu-Ray DVD. But will recognize and play a normal (non-Blu-Ray) DVD. The system sees the Blu-Ray optical drive and shows it is working normally. I attended to update the firmware, but the Lenovo Optical Disc Drive Firmware Update 1.6 utility, states the firmware is already at the current level and under the header New Firmware states "None". Go to Solution.It has nothing to do with the drive.
Blu-ray movies are encrypted using keys. Hackers break the keys. So new Blu-ray movies then come out using new keys. WinDVD (your Blu-ray playing software) contains the keys, and needs to be updated. So see if there's a WinDVD update available from Lenovo's site. If not, then you'll have to pester Lenovo to get a new update from Corel. You can't get the update from Corel yourself.
Or you can simply buy a better Blu-ray player program, such as Cyberlink PowerDVD.
