  • ChangeLog Issue on a DS 5.2 after Idsync 1.0 Installation

    Hy all,
    - We have an architecture that is composed of a SUN ONE directory server 5.2 and a MS AD. Idsync 1.0, installed on the SUN Directory Server box, works correctly. It synchronizes data from the SUN directory to the MS one.
    - The issue is that we have 6000 records in our SUN directory. Within the changelog DB (cn=changelog) we have 400 000 records which makes the changelog so huge.... Previously (before the idsync installation) the changelog DB was not so huge and its size was correct.
    - We have set the MaxchangeLog entries parameters to 10000 and MaxChangeLogAge to 15d. However, those parameters do not reduce the changelog size... It is like those parameters do not affect the changelog entries created by idsync...
    Any idea?
    Regards
    Gregoire

When you set maxchangelogsize and age, did you removed everything from changelogdb directory location? Usually when I change changelog settings, after changes, I stop DS , remove changelog db files and restart. I can see that changelogs are purged.

  • How to track changes on the directory server using the ChangeLog facility?

The ldap search filter should read "cn=changelog"
So the query should be something like
    ldapsearch -b "yourbase" -D "yourbind" -w passwd -s sub
    "cn=changelog"
To make the output readabel, you may need the option -o if you use the iDS ldapsearch. If you use the Sun ldapsearch, the -o is not needed.

  • How to track before image and after image of changes in retro changelog?

    Hi all,
I've enabled plug-in retro change log and accessed with JNDI successfully. However, the changes column keeps after change only. Is it possible to track before image through retro changelog plug-in?
    Cheers.

The retro-changelog contains the changes as received by the server.
There is no way to dump the content (or part of it) of the entry before the change was applied.

    Ludovic.

  • Clean-up changelog in source DSO

    Hello,
I was wondering if it is adviceable to clean-up change-log data in a standard DSO that is used as a source for another (target) InfoProvider.
The DTP that is used to fill the target InfoProvider uses the change-log to determine the delta between the source DSO and the target. I suppose I could delete requests in the changelog that are already loaded in the target.
However, if I need to delete the data from the target and reload it again, this data isn't available in the changelog anymore! In the old 3.x situation, I would do an init request (from the active table). This isn't possible anymore with DTP's.
Could anyone advice on how to handle these situations with DTP's?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi,
You can clean the change log data for which the data is loaded for above data targets in BI 7.0.
If in case you need to do a full load for the above data targets, u can use the functionality of DTP as given bwllow.
First: Select Full update in DTP with "Extraction from" = active table.
Do a Full load from active table.
    Second step:
For this option available in DTP is as shown bellow.
    Select "Extraction" Tab.
    Go to "Processing Mode"
Select 3 option: "NO data transfer and delta status in source Fetched"
This above step is (initilization without data transfer).which will help you to start the normal Deltas after full load.
    Regards,
    Srinivas.

  • [SOLVED]How to include a .Changelog file in a package?

I want to include a .Changelog file in a package I'm building. But in the wiki, it only mentions that it could exist, and not how to include it.
Someone knows how to do it?

just put a file named `ChangeLog` in the same directory as PKGBUILD and makepkg
Edit: wonder It did take me a minute to validate my assumption.

  • Whats the Changelog for 8800 Sapphire Arte & 6120 ...

Hello there, I really would like to know the changelogs of 8800 sapphire arte and the 6120 classic, I tried searching and I entered the page which is provided in the sticky thread but they didn't mean anything about these two phones, changelog and source would be appreciated

i'm afraid Nokia does not release official chnagelogs for it's updates.
your best chance is to find an unofficial one around the internet based on hand-on trials..

    Thanks for the reply.
After I stop the server, remove the whole directory (/usr/iplanet/servers/slapd-*/changelogdb), and start the server again, everything is back to normal again.
I guess I should not have change the changelogdb directory while the server was running.
    Thanks again,

  • ISE profiler feed policies update changelog / release notes

I often notice that updated feed policies are skipped because the policy was canged by an admin (me).
In the past the cisco provided policies weren't detailed enought to use them for secure authentication policies, so I modified/added a lot of them.
Is there any changelog/release notes of the automatically distributed feed policies updates?
How can I find out the difference between the policies I created/modified and that ones that the cisco updater provides?
How can I reset the modified entries to the cisco provided values? (in case that ciscos modifications seem to be better than mine)

  • Webdynpro ABAP ALV tutorial - simple update or use changelog ?

I was working through the alv tutorials for webdynpro abap, and while trying to complete the
"Editing ALV in Web Dynpro for ABAP", I got to page 8 of the pdf document where it explains how to do the ONDATACHECK event handler, and it comments out the portion for updating/saving the data (as noted below), and does not explain anything further about the save.
    * save data to database
{* update... => only simlate, to not change the flight data model
    * content!
Now, I am new to webdynpro abap, and don't know if I am supposed to utlize the changelog for this, or if a simple update will work.

Thank you for your answer - I am guessing from your response that a method would need to be built - similar to one which I found in the SWDP_DEMO_TUTORIALS for a webdynpro called WDT_TABLE (see below) - where a check of the table changes would need to be made before an update to the table - rather than a simple one line update statement placed at that point in the code.

  • Know what is in a upgrade (changelog)

    Hello,
I would like to know what is exactly in an upgrade done by archlinux developpers. For example, if shotwell 11.1 is upgraded to shotwell 11.2 I can see what is new on shotwell website because it is a upgrade done by shotwell developers. However, if shotwell 0.11.2-1 is upgraded to 0.11.2-2 ; it is a upgrade done by archlinux developers and I don't know how know why this upgrade.
I was looking in the man of pacman and the option which seems to fit to what I want to do is -Qc :
    QUERY OPTIONS
    -c, --changelog
View the ChangeLog of a package if it exists.
But "pacman -Qc shotwell" does not work and I don't find any package which have a changelog yet.
So how can I know what is behind a minor upgrade of a software (X.XX.X-1 to X.XX.X-2 for example) ?

    ppr wrote:
    Thanks for your answer.
But What means exactly "to go upstream". Is it means go the trackbug ? If it is the case, I am not able to find any shotwell bugs in https://bugs.archlinux.org.
No, upstream means e.g. shotwell dev team - maybe they provide a changelog, news or something like it.
You can read Arch mailing list or see the svn/git repo http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/ … c50fbb710e but the latter will show you only what changed in the PKGBUILD (in this example patch was added), not what changed in the code the package is built from.

  • Changelog configuration to audit specific attributes changes

    Hi,
I am trying to configure changelog. The objective is to create a file having the change in specific attribute values for adds and mods. I configured the same and it creates the file also; but I don't see changes in that file and under the columns e.g. changeType and Firstname it shows the value 'T'.
Has anybody used the change log file and can guide me how to configure the same to audit chchanges on specific attriutes and redirectng to the file. Also can we also get old value and new value in that output file.

    Hi,
The steps what you performed to enable audit logging were just for every cmdlet and every parameter in the organization, not for the user. So, the normal user who had run the cmdlet or parameter would be recorded on output.
I recommend you refer to the following article :
    Administrator Audit Logging
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks.

  • ChangeLog Repack Error on Sun Directory Server 6.1

    Hello,
I am in the process of repacking our LDAP suffixes and I have run into a snagg. Currently our changelog is over 10GB in size and we recently set the max age for changelog entries to 2 months. Once all the records older than 2 months were deleted from the changelog, we proceeded to repack the changelog suffix. The repack process begins fine, however, about 5-10 minutes into the repack process I receive the following error:
[30/Dec/2009:23:44:21 -0500] - Repacking backend 'changelog', index entrydn finished, size now 10067968 bytes.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mike

I talked with Sun today about this issue and they stated that the error I received is the result of a bug. Sun Bug ID: 6650667
Synopsis: Cannot repack the changelog after trimming. libdb: DB_ENV->log_put: record larger than maximum file
We can see the the following lines in your error log:
    [05/Jan/2010:00:05:03 -0500] - DEBUG - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - libdb: DB_ENV->log_put: record larger than maximum file size (15956384 > 10485760)
[05/Jan/2010:00:05:03 -0500] - Repacking backend 'changelog', LDAP entries error Invalid argument (22).
    [05/Jan/2010:00:05:03 -0500] - Repacking backend 'changelog' ended.
There is no fix, and a workaround is listed as follows:
    Work Around:
    Increase nsslapd-db-logfile-size in dse.ldif (In entry "cn=config,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config" )
This attribute is not present by default in the file.
    Its default value is 10485760.
Which would make it the default as stated in the bug workaround.
Make the change as directed above, perform the repack again and let me know the results.

  • N96 - Firmware 30.0.33 Changelog? Anyone?

Where can I find the N96 firmware 30.0.33 changelog?

changelogs contain the changes made from previous firmware versions to the new firmware version updates. however, these are considered confidential information by Nokia and are not released into the public domain. your best bet is to read up on users subjective experiences by Googling for the firmware changes/improvements/bug fixes etc.
please throw some kudos our way, it would mean a lot to us
If you found this or someone's comments helpful or like what that person has to say, please give some Kudos to their post!

  • N80 Firmware changelog?

Is there a Nokia certified website or source where I can find a history of N80 firmwares and what changes took place in each one?
A changelog would be absolutely fantastic to help verify that new firmewares really fix observed problems.
Also, it could be used to check if I have the latest firmware (I know I could just hook my phone up and sync it, but I'd rather have a simpler method since I've seen the Nokia Software Updater program fail on me a lot hence I don't trust it).
Currently I have an N80 running 4.0707.0.7, updated just yesterday from the previous version.

Being a computer program and well familiar with embedded systems myself I was afraid the case would be that Nokia doesn't release the details of each firmware update. Honestly, I think that is a form of sort of "corporate programmer cowardice."
Regardless, you bring up another good point: N80 users certainly should NOT load the new 4.0707.0.7 firmware as it has some severe problems.
Just to help future searchers get this:
Nokia N80 4.0707.0.7 firmware is broken and bad, do not upgrade or load this firmware.
