QT wont play videos from internet
I've tried re installing QT several times but still does the same thing. When I try and play a video all I get is the QT logo with a question mark in the middle or it says -3285 diconnected. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this.
You might want to post a link to a website that this happens with and the browser and version you are using.

Ziatron is correct that Flash does not work on an iPad, but it does work on a Mac. See Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.160.

My iBook is'nt allowing videos from internet to play....
my computer isnt letting me play videos from youtube and such, and when i try to play them it tells me that i need to get the latest flash player, then it tells me my computers not capable and it gives me other options so I've tried all of them and i drop them into the stuffit expander and the files come up corrupt what can i do to fix this problem??
How much RAM is installed?
Have you tried using a different browser?
Closing all other applications so that your processor and RAM are devoted to that process alone may help.
Also, I've found that it often helps to restart the computer and then go back to the online video you want to see. -
I recently upgraded encore from ver.2 to cs3 and find that ver.cs3 wont play video files.
It wont play the file in the project window, it just stops at the first frame. If I move the slider below the viewer the video material is updated but it wont play.
In the monitor view it wont play either, I can view the material by manually moving the cursor.
It wont play a preview either, it just stops.
It builds a DVD without problems and the dvd plays fine without errors but the program wont play any video files.
Ver.2 plays all the same video files without problems.

Using airplay, with Iphone5 latest os, appletv3, I can play videos from youtube and internet just fine, but when I try to play videos bought from Itunes in my "videos" file, it only plays sound, no video. Please advise,,,
I am also having this issue. Hear but not see. I am using the iTunes video app on my iPad to play a show I bought on iTunes. A little pop up box comes up on the lower left of my tv showing the show , I can hear it but not see it. Rebooted Apple TV and iPad. No help.

What model MacBook Pro do you have? On my late 2011, I used to use a Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter to get video and audio from my Mac to my television. I used this adapter from Monoprice. Worked great - I just no longer use it because I bought a 27" monitor.
You can also use AirPlay mirroring if you've the right MBP and an Apple TV - but the wired method works, too.

Play video from external HD to Apple TV
I would like to play videos from an external drive to the Apple TV.
The workarounds I've seen all involve moving the entire iTunes library to the external drive. I want to keep all my music on the internal HD but the videos on the external HD.
Suggestions?Launch iTunes on your computer
Mac - iTunes > Preferences > Advanced
PC - Edit > Preferences > Advanced
Uncheck 'Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library'
This will allow you to drag and drop videos from the external drive to iTunes without copying to the internal drive. Once in iTunes you should be able to watch them on your Apple TV

I bought the AV cable at the Apple store yesterday and tried it out. I can play
video from the Video app, the Netflix app, and the YouTube app without a
problem. But I can't play anything from the ABC app or the Hulu Plus app (the
free stuff - I'm not subscribed yet) or the HGTV app. I get sound, but no
picture. Anyone know why? Am I doing something wrong?I just tried to watch from the ABC Player on the TV, doesn't work. The app description in the app store doesn't indecate you can watch it on a TV. And there nowhere on the app to switch viewing from the iPad to the TV. So, I would say you can't view this on a TV.

It was the the problem of Untrusted Applet as u said.Now i Have signed my applet and this appletplayer plays audio only from the server from where this applet comes and from the localmachine also.Now it is playing fine from the server.
But i have another problem , If i am asking that in the wrong forum plz forgive, I will ask it it in applet forum also.
Problem is , I have implemented a joystick with this player. The idea is to combine this player with a text editor so that user can hear audio at the same time he can type in the editor what he hear and he can rewind and forward using joystick(It is actually a footswitch controller) with his leg. This driver i got from Source forgenet works fine in my localmachine and localnetwork also.But i have to install .DLL file in every client machine. This should be avoided.When a client having no jmf and joystick in his machine tries to run this applet through the browser the required Joystick driver and jmf must be installed in client computer also.
By signing the applet and using ARCHIVE keyword i think jmf part will be ok but what about joystick driver.How i could install it in client machine.Playerapplet throws jjstck.dll not found exception
