Question

Is there a way to have the movie-poster.jpg display without the "Click to Play" message while the movie loads, and then have the movie play automatically?
I have a 6-second banner movie on my Web page (originally created in Flash; exported as a QT movie and then exported for the Web using QuicktimePro). I would like the static poster.jpg image to be visible while the page loads and then go immediately to the movie without user interaction and without having the big Q logo appear either.
Is there an article I can read on how to do this? Or does someone in the Forum know how I can do this?

I had the same issue just doing a array of tests for video for HTML 5. I was using Quicktime 7 Pro attempting to try and get clean mp4's instead of the mov's. I ended up using the mov's for the iPhone, iPad and "Desktop" and noticed the iphone would not play. I went to the iPad and it worked. I then removed the "Desktop" m4v file and then the iPhone worked.
I launched Quicktime 10 and did the same "save for web" and then all devices worked.
Ended up with:
