QT7 Pro will not complete Export Apple TV

I have started to use QT7 Pro after a long while. I recently downloaded the QT7.6.6 upgrade.
I can open and play .mp4 files on QT7 Pro, however I want to export the files to Apple TV.
This appears to be working but the progress bar in the Export Display window shows a reducing time down to +"Exporting - about 1 minute remains"+, it will not complete the export to produce a new .m4v file for adding to iTunes.
This has worked OK in the past few days but has "failed" on several different files. I have Quicktime X installed but have
The only thing I can recall doing was to +Edit>"Trim to Selection"+ the file since then It has not worked.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have Quicktime X and whilst the same files play on the computer when I try to export the mid sized export option to Apple TV is "+Greyed Out+". I have successfully installed the +(iPhone & iPod)+ versions on to apple TV whilst these seem to play OK I suspect the resolution is not the optimum.

  • File exports stuck at 95% will not complete exporting process in Final Cut  X or Compressor.  Is there a fix?

In Final Cut X and Compressor 4 when outputting files the processing stops at 95%, and will not complete the job.  This happens with all of various export options except export media to a QuickTime file.  Anyone have an idea what could be causing this problem?
I have the most current iMac running the latest version of Lion.

I have tried everything, including starting threads here on the Apple Discussion Boards and on Creative Cow, etc. The 95% STALL is a bug.  What I have done is to create a hard drive with LION on it, then, when I want to use Compressor I reboot from that hard drive in Lion and then Compressor works fine.  It is a Mountain Lion issue, that is when it all started for me.
I thought the new update to Compressor, 4.0.5, would solve this and was really bummed when it didn't.
It would be great if someone (APPLE????) could figure this out......!!!!!

It was working perfectly last night and i just shut it down and it does not work know.
My friend was also trying to install Lion from his account but the .dmg for it did not open so we quit and that night i used it for my essay and finished and then i turned it off and next day in the morining it don't work
    HELP ME PLEASE

You can take the drive out of the computer, use a $20 IDE/SATA to USB adpater to another Mac
You can see if you can read the drive directly to gain access grab files, run Disk Utility and perhaps it can repair it.
If you can't read the drive then there is DataRescue for a whopping $99 but it will read any deleted (but not scrubbed, encrypted or overwritten) data for recovery. Least that way you can get your files back.
Once your data is off, Zero Erase the whole thing, install 10.6 on it with the other Mac.
When installed in the sick mac, the hardware firmware will read the new EFI firmware, load it and you'll have the boot keys back again ON THE SECOND BOOT, it doesn't load on the first.

  • Since Snow Leopard, Mac Pro will not sleep with Apple wireless keyboard

I have an odd problem, now on 2 Mac Pro (Nehalem) with 10.6.1:
Since Snow Leopard, the system will not sleep as long as a) the user is logged on (any users/profile) and b) the Apple aluminum wireless keyboard is 'attached'.
If I log off first, sleep works fine. If I turn the keyboard off first, it's fine. But if hitting 'sleep' when logged on, the screen turns dark, sleep process begins, but the system comes right back (with a note 'keyboard disconnected'.
It's as if the keyboard disconnects after sleep, but the system still monitors it, and wakes up.
Note: Wake for bluetooth devices IS NOT ENABLED!
Here is the console log (relevant info):

Does anyone have any idea? While on, the keyboard never disconnects - i.e. I don't have any other issues with BT or the keyboard (this is the 2nd I tried).
Also, my apologies for double-posting this earlier in a different forum; cheers!

    Hi,
    and thanks for posting that.
That's too bad. I am probably going to log off if needed, rather than going wired, but I can't believe that this might be more prevalent than just me and there is no 'fix'...

  • Final Cut Pro X not completing export to blue ray

Running Final Cut Pro 10.1.2, OS 10.9.4, Macbook pro I7 2.3 ghz, 16gig ram...  I can export a short sequence to blue ray from Final Cut Pro X and it works.  I have a 41 minute video that when I "share" to Blue Ray it will burn about 6-7 minutes of the 41 minutes without any errors.  It completes as if it worked but when you look at the video it is only 6-7 minutes.   A few portions of it are also pixilated, that's not the case when I'm viewing it.
Any ideas on the blue ray.  I have an external Pioneer Blue Ray burner which as I said works fine on short videos in Final Cut Pro X.

  • Macbook Pro will not boot past apple logo/spinning gear

Earlier this evening I was installing the aperture 3.0.2 and iMovie 8.0.6 updates onto my MBP and the system refused to install the Aperture update so I decided to shut down and restart the mac and when I saw the familiar Apple logo spinning I was distraught to see it would go no further. I then did what ay learned apple user would do and reset the PRAM and let it chime 4 times, just to be safe, and I restarted holding shift - the grey bar finished but it still would not load. I luckily have a Carbon Copy Clone of an old hard drive for this machine before I upgraded (much too outdated to copy back over - I would lose Final Cut Studio 3 and Aperture 3 etc...) which I was successful in booting into (and am using now) to do a disk utility > repair permission and repair disk. Both had no errors and I was sincerely confused. I attempted to boot it once more before I started to freak out. Needless to say I freaked out. I booted in single user mode and ran the checkdisk within that TWICE before typing exit and it did the rest of the verbose boot which then hung on "AirPort: RSN handshake complete on en1" This is the end of what I know to do - so with that I hand it off to you... any help is appreciated a and will definitely be attempted.

  • HT4381 my mack book pro will not show the apple tv icon anywhere except in itunes,  so i can't mirror my mac book pro

i am trying to mirror my mac book pro. I can't find the apple tv icon anywhere except in iTunes. I tried displays and not there either.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404
AirPlay Mirroring requires an Early 2011 or newer MacBook Pro, and OS X Mountain Lion. If you have a compatible Mac, you have two possibilities:
    1. Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion. Open the App Store and purchase it. Make a backup of your data before upgrading and check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com
    2. Use AirParrot to mirror the MacBook onto the Apple TV > http://www.airparrot.com
Both options will work. If your computer isn't supported, the only way to mirror the MacBook is by using AirParrot

  • MacBook Pro will not boot from Apple Logo Screen - No HD recognised

    Hi all,
I encountered a problem booting my mid 2010 MacBook Pro yesterday. I currently run OSX Mavericks.
The computer has been great for the last 4 years and has never encountered any major issues. Yesterday I dropped it on carpet while sitting on the couch (it was a VERY small impact) and I continued to use it for a few hours. I did a safari update that night also. I then closed the lid which would have put it to sleep. My flatmate asked for a file later that night, I took his USB and stuck it in my computer, THEN opened the lid. The computer never booted up (It was stuck on the apple logo with the spinning thing underneath it). After doing this for a minute or so the computer would turn off. After multiple attempts the same thing happened.
I read many posts on this - I am assuming that the problem occured because I brought it out from sleep with a USB in the side. I have taken the following steps to attempt fixing the problem -
    *safe boot - no luck
    *reset PRAM - no luck
*recovery mode boot - getting disk errors.
In recovery mode boot I cannot reinstall a new OSX version because there is no internal HD disk mounted. It only gives me the option to install OSX to the Recovery HD, which is locked.
Using Time Machine backup wont work as there is also no Internal HD detected to load to.
In Disk Utility it no longer has 'Macintosh HD' - It is further labelled 'disk0s2'. I cannot verify, repair OR erase this disk.
Can someone PLEASE assist with what I might be able to do. I need to somehow mount/unmount/detect my internal HD. I am happy to detect it and format it as I have Time Machine backups on an external HD.
I am no mac genius although I do learn quickly. If I can get assistance It would be very appreciated. I have a feeling I can sort some issues out using Terminal although I need command assitance?!?
Apologies for the long post although I want to outline everything I have done to attempt to isolate the problem.
    Thank you all in advance.

Does your flatmate have a Mac as well?
If so, you could always get a 8GB+ USB stick, download Mavericks using your Apple ID and use DiskMaker X to create a bootable installation disk on the USB stick. Then boot using the USB stick (hold down the option ey whilst booting to select it) and try to reformat your drive using Disk Utility and, if you're able, reinstall OS X on your machine and then restore from backup.
The only hitch may be that your hard drive is dead and that you need to install a new drive. You'll know once you boot from the USB stick, though, if you can format the drive or not.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • MacBook Pro will not start up - apple logo and spinnining wheel

    *The problem:*
I have a MacBook Pro bought in October 2009 and have had no problems with it up until now. When I went to turn my Macbook on the other day all I got was the initial grey screen with the apple logo and a spinning wheel. The wheel keeps spinning and never loads up my Mac. The battery is charged, I've not just downloaded/installed new soft/hardware, and I'm using the adaptor that came with the MacBook Pro when I purchased it.
    *Stuff I've tried so far:*
I've read the forums/manual and have tried the following:
    1. Reset the SMC - no effect
    2. Reset the PRAM - no effect
    3. Opened the MacBook Pro in safe mode - gets two thirds the way through the loading screen and then sops i.e. no effect
    4. Done a hardware test - reported no problems
    5. Started up my Mac with the original install DVD inserted into the CD drive, and performed a repair in disc utility - says there is a fault in the volume information and then repairs it at the end. Then I run it again and it says there's a fault in the volume information. It doesn't happen how many times I run the repair, it never fixes it.
    6. Tried to reinstall the original disc but it cannot find the hard drive.
    7. Tried to reboot but it cannot find the hard drive.
    Next:
The only thing I have not yet tried is reformatting the drive. I have not tried this yet as I foolishly did not make a time machine (I didn't have an external hard drive) and I've not backed up my work for several months.
    I have two questions:
    1. Before I reformat, is there any way I can get documents off the system? I expect the answer is no but I wanted to check first.
    2. Is the reformat fails for whatever reason, what is likely to happen next? I intend to book a genius appointment but wondered if people had had a similar experience in the past? How long did re-servicing take? The Mac is still under the three year warranty but I am likely to have to pay anything?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello!
Good news: Today I visited the next apple partner and took my macbook with me. He checked my mac with the software "DiskWarrior" which reported three problems which could be solved with this software. Afterwards we tried to restart the macbook - no effort.
He told me, that in a probability of 90% it would be a software problem and it could be solved with re-installing the mac os X software with inserting the original disc, pushing the button "C" shortly after pushing the power-button and simply reinstalling the OS X.
It worked and as it seems no data got lost.
The mac partner dude told me that this software problem can be caused by shutting down the mac one time too much with pushing down the powerbutton more than 5 seconds when everythings freezes...
As I write from my macbook again, I proudly announce that I'm back on mac.
I used windows while having these problems; it sucked
    Sincerely, aftermathentertainment
PS: What have I learnt from this: Use TimeMachine!

  • Download of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro will not complete

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and when I dowload it gets to a point where it says "Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Set up will terminate." But nothing is installed. Am I missing something?
    Help?

While the Standard version is not a more functional version, the message you are getting is one that you would get if you were trying to install Standard when Pro was installed.  I can only think that you need to uninstall Standard if you want to have Pro.

  • Any Software will Not Complete Install

Ha, I been trying to solve an issue with my G4 (two door mirror model). Any software from iLfe 6, Final Cut Express, MS Word or Final Cut Pro will not complete the installment. I keep getting errors that the installation could not complete please try again. I trouble shoot the CD drive making sure there is not an issue with it, and the hardrive too. I did a clean reinstall of Tiger No problem - SO I know the hardrive is fine. I played CDs music so no problem from CD drive. I use the same Software CDs to install on my Powerbook G4 and no problem, so I know there is nothing wrong with the CDs. Does anyone know or may think what can be cause my Desktop G4 from failing to install any programs other then the OS.
AT this point, I have a G4 sitting with just the OS and no application - and it driving me crazy I can't do anything with it.
    Thanks for any help.

Dale, It is the retail version purchased day after it came out. Just a thought, when a PC has problems we can reset the bios back to factory state - can this been done to an apple system such as my G4? The reason why i'm installing back my software is because I had to reinstall the OS do to too many shareware apps I downloaded and could not trash for the life of me - many of the shareware apps was too buggy and could not get rid of them. So, I do not understand my I'm having this issue - OS can install but no other software will.

  • MacBook pro will not boot. I get the gray screen, an apple icon and spinning wheel. Tried to start in safe mode but get the same screen. The only thing different was that I loaded the zedge sync app yesterday. Now getting this problem.

Macbook pro will not boot. I get the gray screen, an apple icon and spinning wheel. I tried to start in safe mode, but get this same screen. The only thing different is that I added the zedge update app to do a sync for adding ringtones to my apple cell phone. How can I get a good boot. I am fairly new to apple computer.

Reset PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405 and then try a normal boot.
Run the Startup Manager to select Startup disk:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1310
If those did not work your disk may be sick or dying.  The top priority at this point is to make a backup copy of your data.
Check the health of the disk.  Boot in Recovery Mode (Boot, Command-R).  Run Disk Utility.  Click on the upper left disk icon.  Does the S.M.A.R.T. status say “Verified”?  If not the disk/SSD is unhealthy and needs to be replaced.  Even if it does not show “Verified” you can still attempt a backup.
Click on the icon indented below, usually called “Macintosh HD” and Verify Disk.  If it finishes with a green “OK” message then all is well with the disk.  If it shows errors in red then you have found a problem to address once the system is backed up.  Do not attempt software repairs until you have secured the data.
If the disk will not show up at all in Disk Utility as your ran the tests above then it may be dead or it may have a bad internal SATA cable.  A trip to an Apple store for confirmation would be in order.
If you have an external disk drive you can use as a backup drive then do so.  If not Google “Hitachi USB 3.0 external hard drive 1TB” to purchase one or go to a brick-and-mortar store (including an Apple store) to pickup one.  Any 1 TB external drive will do.
Assuming it is still breathing you can try to recover the data without booting from the sick disk.
Reformat the external disk.  (This will erase all data on the external disk.)
Boot in Recovery Mode.  Start Disk Utility.  Plug in the new disk.  Select it’s disk Icon (the second one down, left justified). Select the Partition tab.
    Partition Layout > Single Partition
Name: Emergency Recovery 1 (or whatever name you wish to use)
    Format: Mac OS Extended (journaled)
    Options… > GUID Partition Table > OK
    Apply
    Select the Restore tab.
Drag the old system volume (Macintosh HD) to Source.
Drag the new disk volume (Emergency Recovery 1) to Destination.
    Click on Restore.
It may take a long time for the backup.
If that will not complete post back for other emergency data recovery methods, including those from a brody.
If the backup succeeds, use the First Aid tab in Disk Utility to select the old volume (Macintosh HD) and Repair Disk.  If it does not finish with a green OK message try to repair it once or twice more.  If it repairs with a green OK message, will it boot normally?  If not, boot from the Recovery Partition and reinstall OS X.
If it is still not healthy, post back for further instructions.

FireVault Encryption has paused and will not complete on new Macbook Pro. How do I get it to complete?

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

  • HT1379 My Macbook Pro will not start at all. I automatically get the Apple Icon and a pinwheel that keeps clocking. How do I fix?

If anyone can assist with why my Macbook Pro will not pass the first screen, please respond. I have been getting the spinning pinwheel for a few days and cannot lg on now. In recent days I deleted some files and thought that would help the computer move a little faster but now it will not sllow me to access my account. Any suggestions on how to get pass the initial screen?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.
