Qty difference between "mmbe" and "/afs/md04" transaction?

Dear Gurus,
When I am checking MMBE txn for a material, it is showing me 201 qty in Unrestricted stock(batch)..
but when I am checking in "/afs/md04" txn, it is showing me 55 qty for Unrestricted stock(batch)..
why is this discrepancy?
pls help..

I assume you are only checking for the "A" tab and comparing only the batch stock ( Stock type - C) , /AFS/MD04 is a stock and requirement list and MMBE is a stock report , if you have compared only the batch stock , might be you can run the report /AFS/SDRQ to check for inconsistency , Hope this helps...

  • Difference between MMBE and MM51

    Good morning.
We discovered there is a difference in stock between MMBE and MB51, but were able to localize it to the offending movement type (they are plant transfers, movement type 303 and 305).
Are plant transfers the reason for the discrepancy? Or should we even compare the quantities of MMBE and MB51?
    Regards
    Moggie

Hi SAP FC. Thanks for your very prompt reply.
My understanding (and perhaps it is an incorrect one, I am a BASIS administrator and am only looking into the issue because a user reported this to me) is that the totalling of all material documents in MB51 should equal the stock currently shown in MMBE. However, as I stated, I found the transfer to plant movements shown in MB51 are not included in MMBE's count when I investigated the user's request. Subsequent comparisons using different plants and materials produced the same results. The transfer to plant movement types apparently are not totaled.
Before posting here, I was going to tell the user to
    a) either filter out the transfer to movement types when using MB51
    b) do not use MB51 for determining the stock total of a material in a plant (use MM03 or MMBE instead)
However, I wanted to be sure by posting in this forum and getting clarification

  • TO confirmation for picking: difference between RF and non RF transactions

    Hello,
I am confirming one TO for picking in a outbound delivery process. My storage location is WM and HU managed and materials are batch managed.
I noticed if I confirm TO through RF transaction (LM61), I have the following results per material on outbound delivery:
one main item with 0 as delivery quantity
several sub items (9000x), with as many lines as HUs confirmed. Qty is HU qty
Now if I confirmed TO with non RF transaction (LT12), I do not have the same results:
one main item with 0 as delivery quantity
one or several sub items (9000x), with as many lines as batch confirmed (then potentially less sub items). Qty is aggregated per batch with several HUs.
I need to use TO confirmation through RF.
But this seems to have an impact on an inter company process where I'm using SPED functionality.
Indeed, when I process post goods issue in the issuing plant, I have an automatic creation of the inbound delivery for the receiving plant (with same HUs).
And then I have to proceed QM controls:
    - if I have confirmed picking TO with RF, inspection lots are created for each HU.
    - if I have confirmed picking TO w/o RF, inspection lots are created for each batch
I need to manage inspection lots per batch and confirm TO with RF!
I changed several QM settings on material, without success.
Now I would like to know if this could be much more managed on LE side, specifically TO confirmation.
    Have you got an idea?
    Thank you

I got a feed back out of this forum.
The solution is to change delivery update settings in interface between WM and shipping, so that update delivery is not done after each confirmation item but after the the whole TO confirmation.

  • Difference between enjoy and non-enjoy transaction

    hi
can anybody tell me the difference between enjoy transaction and non-enjoy transactions
for example ME21N is enjoy transaction and ME21 isnt
we can do a BDC for ME21 and not for ME21N
basically, is it all transactions finishing with 'N' is enjoy transaction?

    Hi sia,
1 can anybody tell me the difference between enjoy transaction and non-enjoy transactions
The main difference, bcos we cannot do bdc is :
    a) The enjoy transactions are based on
GUI Control (eg. Grid control based on class)
       which are instantiated/created
       on the front-end machine.
Hence, they cannot be accessed directly by code,
      running on the application server.
(instead their value is set on the front-end)
Hence, we cannot do bdc on them.
    regards,
    amit m.

  • Difference between ob08 and oc41 Transaction code in Exchange rate

    Hi,
Can any one help me out what is the difference between OB08 and Oc41 in transaction code in Exchange rates...
    Thanks in Advance
    Sivanand

    hi Siva,
When foreign currencies are valuated, all the open items that were posted in a foreign currency are valuated. The valuation is based on the individual open items in a foreign currency, that is, each open item in a foreign currency is valuated individually.
The exchange rate table is OB08
    AND
OC41 is another transaction to the exchange rate table.
When you try to change you cannt change the rates sometimes.... but u can see the rates displayed.......

  • Difference between CO09 and  MMBE Transactions

FOr particular material and plant ,Quantity 1 is there as FGI  in MMBE screen but it is not there in CO09 for same material in the same plant.
    Regards

    Dear Nidhi Srivastva
MMBE(Stock over view ) : By using this transaction code we can get the information pertinent to the particular material stock levels in the respective plant and storage locations.
With the help of the detailed display we will know wether the material is in transit mode ,restricted ,unrestricted and so on........
CO09(Avilability overview): With the help this we will know when the order was raised and the confirmed quantities.
Apart from that we know about the  goods issues and goods recites of respective plant.
Please let me know if you have any further clarifications

  • Difference between Technical and Business transaction archiving?

    Hi Guys,
Can any one explain the difference between Technical and business transaction archiving with practical example?
When we will go for Technical archiving and when we will go for business transaction archiving?
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

    Hello Vinod,
To me, Archiving Objects can be separated into 3 categories; Technical, Master Data and Transactional.  Technical Archiving would include archive objects such as IDOC's, BC_SBAL (application logs), BDCLOGPROD (batch input logs), etc.  Master Data Archive Objects would include MM_MATNR (material master), FI_ACCPAYB (vendor master data), FI_ACCRECV (customer master data), etc.  And, Transactional Archive Objects would include FI_DOCUMNT (financial documents), SD_VBAK (sales orders), MM_EKKO (purchase orders), etc.
Techincal Archive Objects usually are easier to implement and require less resources.  Master Data and Transactional Archive Objects usually take longer to implement as they will require business testing and sign-off.
This is a high-level explanation and I hope it helps answer your questions.

  • Difference between wc27 and md01 transactions?

    Hi Experts,
Could you please tell me what is the difference between wc27 and md01 transactions?
    Best Regards,
    Parag Save.

MD01 is the transaction for running the MRP in the foreground (online).  WC27 is for running the MRP in the background (batch), but you can also do via MDBT.  In MDBT when you create or edit total planning variant you are running the same program as WC27.  Typically you use just MDBT if you want to create MRP batch jobs.

  • What is the difference between action and workflow? How do I decide that I need an action in a transaction and not a workflow and vice versa?

    Dear Experts,
I have few doubts and request your expert inputs to clarify my doubts.
What is the difference between action and workflow? How do I decide that I need an action in a transaction and not a workflow and vice versa?
Your earliest response is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    SMTP

    Hi SMTP,
First of all, as I mentioned action is nothing but an executable work item which is designed in the workflow itself. In other words, Workflow is like your OOPS class. At run time, workflow instances are created just like objects of classes. Now, the steps designed in the workflow are called TASKS and the instances of tasks are called WORKITEMS. Now, the work items where any user action is required are called executable work items. ANd the work items where no user action is required (for example, sending an email in background) are called non-executable work items.
Whether to go with development of workflow or not depends upon your business scenario. If your requirement is only to send an email and you find any BAdi or exit where in you can write your logic then there is no need of creating a workflow. If there is a defined business process with defined users and time lines, then you can go with the development of workflows.
Rest, the below link will help you in understanding basic concepts of workflow :

  • T-Code for reporting stock quantity difference between IM and WM

    Hi All
I'm probably going to kick myself for asking this quastion but is there a report to show the stock quantity differences between IM and WM?
I have searched the forum first but cannot find info.
We have various differences in IM and WM shown in MD04 and LS26. This is usually the result of an unplanned plant to plant transfer not being recipted in at the destination plant.
If no standard T-code is available, which tables can I join to create my own query?
    Thanks in advance
    Darren

    compare MMBE with LS26
Make sure you dont enter a storage location and storage type in selection screen of LS26.
if you post a difference with LI20, then you have just posted a difference within WM, means you moved a quantity from a bin into the difference storate type 998.  The balance of both is still equal to your stock shown in MMBE. You have to clear the difference with IM by executing LI21 transaction. Only then the quantity will disappear from difference storage type and will be adjusted in MM and FI.
LX23 will only report real inconstencies and will adjust them.
If you do a MM movement like 303, then this creates a transfer request in WM, this TR needs to be converted into a TO. to move the stock from the bin to the interim storage type for goods issue.
In your case you created just a negative quant in the interim storage type for goods issue and still have a positive quant in the bin, the balance is equal to the stock shown in MMBE.
