Quadro FX 1800 problem - HELP!

Ive got a quadro fx 1800 with 768MB of vram. This card had been working perfectly since the launch of Premiere CS5 with mercury hardware acceleration. Rendering was lightning fast, previews and playing from the timeline silky smooth. I was a happy video editor. Sure I needed to add my card to the supported cuda card list but I never had any problems at all.
However recently I updated premiere from 5 to 5.03, and my card stopped working. Performance is now terrible, with long renders and stuttery playback. I figured I just needed to re-add my card to the txt file. But that didnt solve the problem. Confused I checked the output of gpusniffer.exe. It said that my card was being rejected because it didn't have the required 765MB of memory (even though my card has that much, it only showed 745M "available")
So I tried to install new nvidia drivers *no luck*
So I then tried to replace GPUsniffer with and older file so I could still maybe use the updates *no luck*
Resorting to a complete uninstall of premiere and reinstalling without applying updates *no luck* (that this didnt work BAFFLED me)
Calling adobe support *no luck* they basically told me to buy a new card. (not happy with that advice considering I bought this one this year and it stretched our budget to get it) They also tried re-applying the updates, clean install of nvidia drivers and deleting my user profile.
I then tried to find a way to use less memory on my card or fake higher memory *no luck*
Searching for a registry entry or file where that 765MB limit is specified *no luck*
Talked to adobe support on twitter and they asked me to post here. Please help! I'd love to get this back to normal so I can use my card and get productivly editing again!

I imagine that they either didn't use to enforce the RAM limit or had a lower limit. Or they used to only look at total RAM and not available RAM.
Why a fresh install didn't give me the old requirements is what confuses me most.
I've heard of other FX 1800 users being able to use the card, which is why I bought it in the first place. From what I've seen at other forums no other FX 1800 user has been able to find a solution to this and all encountered the same problem with recent updates. I imagine most give up and buy a card.
Its silly to me to throw away a perfectly functional card or to disable use arbritrarily for something thats been working fine. I've got all these CUDA cores sitting there that could speed things up immensly, and premiere just ignores it because I might not have enough ram for *some* projects? (Red or 2K footage that I will never actually use) for the 720p footage I am working with 768mb is more than enough.

Quadro FX 1800 OpenGL don't work

I installed a new Video card (Nvidia Quadro FX 1800), I expected my performance will improve with the use of OpenGL on this Middle range card.
I use CS4 production premium.
On After Effect I got noticeable results (Rendering and 3d). But with Premiere Pro I got no results at all, rendering still very slow and preview there no noticeable difference.
Can somebody help me on this?

Thank you both for your responses but my daughter was reassured by the salesman in the iStyle store (official Apple store in the UAE) that iMessages would work but conceded that FaceTime wouldn't. My iTunes account is registered in the uk and my daughter's iPhone has iMessages even though she bought it (and uses it) in Dubai. Can anyone else throw any light on this?

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

IPad syncing problem - HELP!

iPad sync problem - HELP! I keep getting this message "...cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional ...space needed)" and yet I seem to have plenty of space on the iPad. This just started today. I even tried deleting some things to make even more room, but it didn't help. Any ideas???
I was thinking of restoring, but I've never done it... should I?

Not that I am an expert o/c but here are some thoughts on the matter.
My comments are based on my experiences of the KT3 Ultra2 which is basically the same as the Ultra version.
This mobo does not have the ability to lock the PCI/AGP bus freely from the FSB. However, it does have dividers. At 133 a 1/4 divider kicks in. Above 152FSB the 1/5 divider works, so that at 166 the PCI & AGP buses will be back in sync. If you are o/c your cpu, don't go from 133 to 145, etc since you will be running the PCI/AGP buses further out of whack. Just go to either the mid 150's or to 166 in one jump. The other problem / issue relates to your cpu. From what you say you have one of the old Palominos which are not great o/c's. I would personally o/c your cpu from the BIOS rather than 'Fluffy Logic' which I would tend to stay away from.
With a 166FSB cpu a very stable o/c would be 175-177 beyond 180 gets decidedly tricky.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

I had the same issue and I'm running Windows 7. Tried working with technical support for several hours but they were no help. They just had me doing the same things over and over, offering no real answers. I finally got fed up and have decided to return my product for a full refund.

Warranty is valid only in country of original purchase. You have to return
the iPhone to the US for evaluation. Either you return it personally or send
it to a friend/relative/co-worker in the US to take into Apple. Apple will not
accept international shipments for evaluation nor will Apple ship out of the
country after repair/replacement.
Have you tried the standard trouble shooting steps: restart, restore, restore
as new iPhone?

K7T Turbo-R (6330 v3) & Athlon XP 1800 Problem

My current system is a K7T Turbo-R that I've had for a couple of years now. During this time, I've used an Athlon T-Bird 1.33GHz processor without any issues - very stable (I can probably count on one hand the number of lock-ups). The power supply is a 300W Antec.
I decided to upgrade the CPU. I checked the CPU support status and found that the highest I could use with this board is an Athlon XP 1800+ Palomino, which is what I purchased (code on the core is AX1800DMT3C).
After removing the TBird and installing the XP (along with a new CPU cooler), the system won't post at all, and all 4 LEDs are red. :O
I reinstalled the TBird (along with the same new cooler) and all is fine again. Figuring I had simply received a bum CPU, I tested the same XP 1800 on another system (a Soltek PurpleRay) and found that the CPU was fine.
Note: The BIOS is at v3.6 and J17 is open.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

The description of your problem indicates one or more failing capacitors on your motherboard. Check out this link for some example pictures of what that looks like:

The reason i'm thinking about this is that i replaced 6 dead capacitors on my own K7T turbo last weekend. 4 of the 4700uF/6.3V ones had died (around the CPU socket), and both of the 2700uF/6.3V ones near the AGP slot. My system was showing the EXACT same symptom you are having. It would not boot after powering on with the power button, but a reset helped (this is at 1000 MHz, at 1333 MHz resetting did not help). This also explains why your old processor works fine, but the new one doesnt. Your PSU/power regulator combo is able to provide a stable enough voltage to the old processor with it's low power consumption. But with the new more power-hungy processor those big capacitors (which help stabilizing the voltage supplied to the processor) are missed :/
Apparently a Taiwanese capacitor producer supplied a large number of faulty capacitors to motherboard producers like msi,asus, abit, etc. More info in here: (and lots of other sites too)

The common Safari network problem - help!

I've been involved in a couple of other posts on this topic, but thought it would be easier to pull out my problem into a topic of its own, as it's still unresolved.
The problem is a familiar one I think.
It would be great to have some help and advice as it's driving me nuts!
Here's the symtoms:
Safari takes an age to load pages and often gets stuck trying.
Tellingly, my airtunes stops and starts when I'm playing music over the network to my stereo.
I've got a MacBook running 10.4.8 with AirTunes.
So far, I've tried the following:
- Made sure software is up to date
- Emptied cache
- Ran Firefox which is just as slow
- Repaired permissions using Disk Utility
- Changeed my primary cabel protocol (airport) to be first on the list and deslected others
- Removed any superflous wi-fi locations I don't use
- In the TCP panel>DNS servers, entered 4.2.2.2
Can anyone think of anything else to try?
I read something about 10.4.8 having a few network issues, so someone suggested redoing the update, but I'm not sure I understood what they meant about doing things with permissions before and afterwards?
Can anybody help?!

Just reporting back on the weekend's testing.
I ran the Hardware test, but it detected no problems.
I also changed my network settings to Manual with fixed IP - but it hasn't made any difference at all.
So I can rule out my netgear router/modem, airport airtunes, safari and my isp (I have exactly the same problems on other wireless networks and also using firefox) and now I suppose my mac's hardware.
Does that just leave
1. the configuration of my network and
2. OSX 10.4.8
then?
Maybe I should just wait for Leopard?!
Do you think it would still be worth trying it out using an Ethernet connection rather than wireless?
If so, would you be able to give me a step-by-step guide, as I find the Network prefs very confusing.
