Quadro K2000m drivers Win 8.1 W530

Hello everyone,
I was trying to see whether the drivers I originally had (can't remember the version) for the Quadro K2000m on my W530 were doing their job.
The first sign I noticed that something was off was when playing CS: GO and I can only play it at 1600x900 (using only the laptop's LCD)  with most settings in medium and some in high. Then, I noticed that although Premiere Pro CS6 works with the CUDA cores (I can play and add effects to most clips and still play them in real time from a 170mbps GH2 patch) I appear to still not get full performance since some effects immediately make playback choppy.
According to GPU-Z, the GPU is not working when I render my work area in Premiere.
I am attaching two screenshots from GPU-Z. The sensors screenshot shows what the GPU usage when playing a clip in full resolution with one effect (filmconvert) added to the clip. Playback is choppy. I would say it drops half the frames every second.
Now, the kicker...since I downloaded a new driver from Lenovo, I started getting BSODs.
So I downloaded another one from NVIDIA...same BSODs and usually not when I am working. Mostly when I am browsing of doing not much like watching a video on youtube or vimeo.
Am I missing something here?

When you run the NVIDIA installer, choose Custom. At the page where you can choose components to install/upgrade, there should be a checkbox for clean install. It will uninstall the old driver, prompt for reboot, then install the new driver.
You can quickly check if Premiere is set to run on discrete by right-clicking on the shortcut (not sure if this works in the Metro UI), and looking in the "Run with graphics processor" submenu. If this says integrated is default, then you can change this in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

  • Premiere CC crashes on launch on Lenovo ThinkPad W530/Quadro K2000M

    Hey everyone!
I can't get Premiere Pro CC to launch on my new laptop--Lenovo ThinkPad W530 with Quadro K2000M graphics. On launch I get "Adobe Premiere CC has stopped working."
The K2000M is on the approved list, so I was hoping that wouldn't be a problem. But uninstalling the nVidia drivers does actually allow me to open Premiere, so clearly that is the problem. I went to the Lenovo site and I'm using the most up-to-date driver (9.18.13.1270/8.15.10.2725/G5DE43WW).
Things that didn't work that I've seen elsewhere on this forum:
    - signing out of and into Creative Cloud
    - running Premiere in Windows 7 compatibility mode
    - running Premiere as administrator
Any help in getting the program and the nVidia running at the same time would be appreciated...I have a project coming up shortly.

Unfortunately, the crash data you posted doesn't give us any clues.
It looks like the driver you're on is very fresh: 2014-1/5. Another user recently reported a different problem on a Lenovo w/ the K1000M (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5987620#5987620). Don't know yet what driver he's on, but if he's also on a new one, I'd begin to suspect a bug in the driver.
Some additional data could be illuminating. Premiere installs a utility called GPUsniffer. You'll find it here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC. However, unless you read quicker than I do--and I mean waaaay faster--launching it from there won't do much good. You'll have to open the command console, navigate to the path above, and type gpusniffer.exe. (Let me know if you need more explicit instructions for getting around in the console.) Then copy the report and paste it here.
edited to add: To help determine if the current Lenovo K2000M driver is at fault--and possibly get yourself back in business--please roll back to an earlier driver.

  • Installation nvidia on Quadro K2000M

    Hi there
I am trying to install the latest nvidia driver on my arch installation, but without any success.
After I installed the driver as suggested in the wiki I am stuck with a black screen... all the tips stated in the wiki do not seem to work.
I would like to have the nvidia and the intel driver installed, so I can switch manually in the bios which card to use (no optimus needed)
    lspci | grep "VGA"
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107GLM [Quadro K2000M] (rev a1)
has anybody successfully installed the nvidia driver with a Quadro K2000M?

I got my Thinkpad W530 today.  It comes with NVIDIA Quadro 2100M. Is this the same as NVIDIA Quadro K2000M? I also notice that the fan run louder than my W500. Is this normal? Thank you.

  • NVIDIA Quadro K2000M Stress Test Warning

Anyone with the NVIDIA Quadro K2000M card:  Has anyone received a stress test warning after running a hardware scan?
I am currently connected to only two monitors (through the dock). And during the scan, I only had a couple of browsers open. I was not streaming or watching videos;  simply reading a couple of articles  (nothing "stressfull" taking place).
This is the first time this has come up; I will be checking settings and running the test later.
I couldn't find anything on the result code I received:  WVC00V000-WJSWSM
Just thought I would check if anyone else had received the same result (stress test warning if not same code) and  what the final outcome was.

Similar result on a T530 with i7, 8GB, and NVidia 5400: installed new version of Lenovo Solutions (prompted by Lenovo when I opened my existing version), ran full hardware check, everything passed except stress test on video card, which gave warning with result code WVC00V000-UJ8XWD.  Am also running in a dock (Mini Series 3+, not the USB 3.0 version) with a single external monitor attached to a DVI port.
Interestingly, the log section for the NVidia 5400 says "Displays: 4", as if it thinks that I have 4 displays attached (whereas the log section for Intel 4000 video card says "Displays: 1").  Since the dock could output three displays (two outputs that can be either DisplayPort or DVI, plus one VGA) and the laptop screen is active, perhaps the program is assuming that it's actually running four screens.
The fan exhaust put out some serious heat during that part of the test.  A couple of programs were open but not in use during the hardware test.  I had not run the hardware test under the previous version of Lenovo Solutions, so I don't know whether it would have shown the same thing, or whether it's new to the new version of Lenovo Solutions.
Would appreciate any insights the community has to offer.
    Thanks.

  • W530 Quadro K2000m and Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi all,
    I have a W530 with i7, Q K2000m, 32gb ram and 3 interal drives (1msata ssd, 2 hgst 7k1000 1tb in the other two bays). I don't know whether I have an issue or not, but:
    1) CUDA acceleration is enabled. So we're OK in this.
    2) When I assemble a few clips together, although the render line is yellow, after a few seconds, the videos start becoming choppy. So, I was wondering how can this because I am only editing a 720p timeline and I have not graded anything yet. Just warp stabilizer on some clips and some of them (since I shot at 60p) are slowed down to 24p.
    3) When I run GPU-Z, I am only seeing a 8-15% GPU load rate.
    4) Because I can't reverse time and stabilize at the same time, I stabilized a clip on another sequence and then nested that sequence in my main sequence. Now, when I reverse that nested sequence...I get a blank screen UNLESS I kill the hardware acceleration and switch to CPU only (this seems to be a Premiere Pro issue)
    5) I did everything possible to make sure that the Quadro card was working. I turned everything to "Performance NVIDIA graphics) in the NVIDIA control panel. I installed the latest drivers from NVIDIA the day before yesterday. I even flashed my BIOS to the latest downloadabale from Lenovo's System Update.
Am I missing something? Or is the card just underclocked and under-powered on purpose? Why can it not run at beyond 15% load when the clips are choppy on playback?
You may noticed I am a bit frustrated...but hey...I love the machine so I hope I am missing something that I can set up to make it all run smoothly again.
Many thanks for any ideas, guidance.
PS: All captured clips are in the 1st HDD on the main bay and the scratch/preview disk is the 2nd HDD on the CD drive. Premiere is running from the mSATA SSD (Plextor M5M 256GB)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I don't have Premiere, so I can't see by comparison what happens on my own W530 which only has a K1000m.  I also don't know if your symptoms are due to hardware or sofware (i.e. Premiere itself).  Do you have another machine of your own to try the same experiment against, to see what GPU usage measures at and whether the visual results are seemingly as poor as you describe on your W530, or are they much better visual results and much higher performing as measured?
Aside from our both doing something in common, to compare results, I just took a look at two video applications on my own W530: (a) VideoReDo TV Suite 5 editing both 720p and 1080i copy-freely WTV recorded videos made by Windows Media Center (on my HTPC), and (b) Windows Media Center running on the W530 and playing both of these 720p and 1080i WTV recordings.  I opened GPU-Z while the video apps were running to monitor the GPU load.  I also have Aida64 running, which also displays presumably the same "GPU utilization".  I expect VRD to use less GPU horsepower than Windows Media Center uses.
Also, here is my Lenovo Power Manager setup, with my i7-3720QM 8GB W530/K1000m 512GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD powered into the wall.  The display is external 24" Eizo S2433W monitor (miniDP->DP from the W530), 1920x1200, laptop screen OFF.  I'm running "discrete graphics" in the BIOS, using "retail" nVidia driver 347.88.
And here's Windows Media Center playing a 1080i video (which involves hardware de-interlacing), and showing 57% GPU load through GPU-Z.  Note that with Aida64 (on the right side of the image) it also shows 55% GPU utilization, so this number is clearly correct.
And the same clip being "edited" using VideoRedo.  Note that GPU usage is now down to 35% (at least at this instant), as I expected.  I'm quite sure hardware de-interlacing is also taking place.
Video performance with both apps is superb.
Anyway, without our being able to duplicate the other's test situation, I don't know what to suggest that you haven't already done.  Unfortunately I don't have Premiere to try.

  • Can't go through installing drivers (Win 8)

Ok I got my MBP 13.3 yesterday. Went through the Boot Camp assiatsnt, followed everything on the guide, installed Windows 8 (not yet 8.1).
Windows 8 ''almost work'' except I do not have all required drivers (for instance, wi-fi is not an option - I can only connect with ethernet cabled connection).
I wanted to go through re-installing Windows 8 because I have a double issue here : I will need to spend time over the phone with Microsoft since thsi is a key I had on another (crashed) laptop.  So if things have to be re-done, I don't want to call them twice...
    1) When I first installed throigh BootCamp assiatant, I unchecked the ''download Windows drivers'' (second) oprtion. I have the Win 8 DVD , I had downloaded the (wrong version - now I know) of BootCamp drivers (just been told when I tried to install manually under Windows,...)
    2) I redownloaded the version of Boot Camp (5.1.5640) nd unpacked, copied to a USB key then once I launched setup, I was told this is not for **this computer** (a Macbook Pro mid-2012 (model A1278).  So I went through litterature again and understood I needed BootCamp 5.1.5621 (based on my model). I downloaded it.
    3) Followed : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720 (I think ''carefully'') - but now when I launche the ''Settup.exe'' I am getting the (extremely frustrating after a day) message : ''The SWinPEDriver5 folder was not found. Please verify the SWinPEDriver folder is in the same location as the BootCamp folder and try the installation again''. (Ok please read twice below: Do you read the **first** folder now appearing **there** ?)  - Well I made sure that SWinPEDriver5 was copied in the root of the USB stick. Here are the elements showing there:
    - SWinPEDriverS (folder)
    - Drivers (folder)
    - AutoUnattend (document)
    - BootCamp (document)
    - Setup (application)
    - AppleBluetoothBroadcom64 (folder which I have recopied from the content of the first, as Setup did not seem to see it..... But to no avail)
    - IntelHDGraphics64 (folder which I have recopied from the content of the first, as Setup did not seem to see it..... But to no avail)
Only reply I am getting from Apple Care is to...contact Microsoft... But hey: BootCamp is an Apple product, right ? And since I probably first need to activate Windows (thus spend an hour over the phone...) I can't call MS support !!.... Chicken and egg...
Spent my entire day on this...
What is it I might be missing here ?
(Please note that I also intend to update Windows to 8.1 .... so any shortcut here would be very appreciated, if I am going to need an update to these drivers....
    Thanks in anticipation guys.
    Rob

    A few hours later....
Now, i have decided to go back : from Mac OSX I have opened BootCamp and chosed to uninstall Windows 8 and go back to a unique partition, prior to start everything from scratch....
Now guess what: starting from scratch, once I get to the point to choose the 2 options (download latest drivers + install Windows 7 or more), I get a new prompt that ask my password to ''provide a new tool''.... But as I continue (with WIn 8 disk in the mac and empty USB key in the slot, I now get a message that this mac can ''only install Windows 7'' !!!!.....
Based on litterature, Macbook Pro mid-2012 **can** install up to Windows 8.1 - this should not be an issue !...
    Have I been shipped a lemon ??

What are you trying to accomplish? Why do you want to connect your Note to the W520?
I have a W530 and know nothing about the W520, so if there are relevant differences I know nothing about them. My discussion will be about the W530 and you'll have to know or determine that what I'm saying for the W530 is inapplicable to your W520.
Anyway, I have no problem setting up my W530 to be a "WiFi Hotspot", which my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone can then locate with its WiFi scannng... not BlueTooth. So if I want to use Internet access capability provided by the W530 as WiFi connection (not BlueTooth) for the phone, I can do that.
Of course I can also configure my phone to just connect to the wireless router in my home, again using WiFi in the phone (not BlueTooth).  This is essentially the same effect as having the phone go through the W530 and then through therouter, except in this setup the phone goes directly to the router to get to the Internet.
Is that all you're trying to accomplish... getting Internet WiFi access for your Note via your W520's internet connection?
Or are you wanting something else... such as accessing the storage on your Note using Windows Explorer on the W520? That's a different type of connection, which requires drivers installed on Windows to support MTP device connections, which is how the phone connects when using a USB cable.  This is not BlueTooth connection (e.g. when your phone connects to your car's BlueTooth system), but rather a plain MTP connection via USB (e.g. same as many digital cameras connect when you plug them into a USB port on the computer).
I have installed a product named PdaNet+FoxFI to provide MTP driver support (via USB cable) to Windows.  PdaNet+ also provides BlueTooth connection between phone and W530.  PdaNet+ also supports WiFi Hotspot on the phone without requiring a $20/month service charge by Sprint.  There is a component that gets installed on the PC, and a second Android app that gets installed on the phone.  Once everything is installed in both places and everything is setup properly and configured correctly, there are two basic functions that are now enabled when the phone is conncted to the W530 via USB cable:
    (1) the phone shows up in Windows Explorer, and its internal phone and external card storage are both visible directly for drag/drop, move/copy, etc. functionality of Explorer
    (2) The internet connection of the phone is made available to the W530 via the USB cable (i.e. "USB tethering"), thus making the phone's Internet connection be usable by the W530... through the USB cable connection.  The phone can be getting to the Internet either through external service provider (e.g. 3G/4G from Sprint), or via WiFi (e.g. through home LAN wireless router), and however the Internet is reached that becomes the pathway for the W530 to connect (through the USB tethering connection to the phone, which is functionally just another network connection like home wired or wireless or general WiFi).
Note that the PdaNet+ software also supports connecting the W530 to the phone via BlueTooth, but I honestly don't know why that would be of value  It's certainly not the same as an MTP connection which supports Explorer being able to see the internal/external storage on the phone.  I've not been successful in getting things configured with BlueTooth connection so that I can get the phone to have Internet access through the W530, or the W530 to have Internet access through the phone... when they are connected via BlueTooth.  This has only worked when using either (1) USB cable connection from phone to W530, or (2) WiFi from phone to the WiFi hotspot of the W530.
So... again, what are you trying to do between your Note and your W520?  BlueTooth may be the wrong approach, and/or PdaNet+FoxFI may be your best solution.

  • Elitebook 8560p Drivers (Win 8.1 & Win 10)

Hello, I just did a fresh Win 10 install on my Elitebook 8560p. I am struggling a bit wit the drivers. I am combinig some Win8, Win8.1 drivers and also drivers from Elitebook 8570p.Last year I have installed Win 8.1 on the laptop and everything worked. Now I want to try the same with the Win10 but there are allot of drivers missing from the download page (that were there, but are now gone). What happened to them?!I am missing:  - Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver
    - Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver (International)
    - Synaptics TouchPad Driver (International)
    - Alcor Micro Smart Card Reader Driver (International)
    - HP 3D DriveGuard Software
    - JMicron Media Card Reader Driver
    - Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver
    - HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
    - HP UEFI Support Environment (International) I can manage without the graphics card driver, Intel Chipset driver, those I can get from the manufacturers website. Also there are some drivers that were installed with the Windows Update. But I am still missing allot of drivers that are needed for proper functionality... Can anyone please shed some light on the situation? What is the HP policy with the support for the later hardware and the new OS (Win10)? Best regards,Vedro

Hi: The product specs for your PC indicate that it comes with wireless networking only without bluetooth. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-p6-2300-Desktop-PC-series/5295969/model/5296959/document/c03500805/ If you have the wireless card pictured on the above link (RT5390) that card is not a combination wireless/bluetooth card.

  • Mac Mini video card drivers Win 7 64 bit sp1

I was running OSX 10.6.4 and dual booting with Vista 64 bit when Vista crashed.  I went out and purchased Win 7 64 bit SP1 OEM version.  I used bootcamp to install this sucesfully but whatever I seem to try I cannot find/install the correct driver for the graphics card in Win 7.  It still defaults to Standard VGA Graphics Adapter 1280 x 1024.
I moved from the U.S to Thailand but forgot to bring my bootcamp disc  (Otherwise I might not even be writing this post).  I purchased a copy of Snow Lepoard 10.6.3 which has bootcamp 3.1 on it but still not the correct video card drivers.  I have also upgraded bootcamp to 3.2 and 3.3 and tried all the Win 7 updaates but to no avail.  I have tried to install manually from bootcamp on the DVD, I have read a few forums with the same issue but it tends to be a MacBook Pro and not a Mac Mini issue.  I have also instaleld Nvidia 285.38 and 285.62 drivers and both of these give me a black screen, so I know these are not the correct drivers.
I purchased my Mac Mini in Nov of 2010 and its a model MC270LL/A.  If I look in OSX I can see my video card is the
    Nvidia Geforce 320 M
    Vendor - NVIDIA (0x10de)
    Device ID 0x08a4
    Revision ID 0x00a2
    Rom Revision 3546.
I am not sure why this has to be so difficult but it is!  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks so much.

    There's a complicated driver issue.
    I'm also a user of Mac mini(2010, server) with windows7 x64.
    My experience is:
The only newest nvidia driver for daily using without trouble is 267.76.
If you want to use 27x~ 285.62/285.79,
your primary monitor must be connected to Mac mini with miniDisplayPort-VGA adapter,
I got the same black screen with applying HDMI port as primary.
If you upgrade to 290.36/295.51(the latest one),
you can prevent black screen with HDMI port, sounds good, right?
But as long as you update to any of the newest two drivers,
you will suffer BSOD(Blue Screen of Death, abnormally reboot, error code:0x116) during checking Windows index
or just watching HD movies, that anything may cause GPU malfunction.
    Referece thread:http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=215256
I still searching the solution because the HDMI 1.4a 3D supporting of my projector was begun from 285.62.
I always got BSOD when I want to enjoy Blu-ray 3D films.

  • Satellite Pro 4200: Cannot install the correct graphics drivers Win ME

    Hi,
I have just re-installed Windows ME on the Satellite Pro 4200 machines but I do not seem to be able to install the correct graphics/diplay drivers. Can anyone help
    Thanks

    Hi
What graphic card was installed in this oldie???
I dont think that Toshiba provides any Win ME drivers for this unit and therefore you should Google in the internet for graphic driver.
    Good luck

  • T61p: SATA (AHCI) & ATA drivers, Win. 7 64-bit?

I have a T61p running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. ThinkVantage System Update recommends that I install the “Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver for Windows 64bit”, version v8.9.2.1002, which it tells me has not been previously installed. When I try to do so, it tells me that the installation has failed.
Notes with this driver indicate that it works with the following controllers:
    Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH8M-E/ICH9M-E/M SATA RAID Controller.
However, my machine’s Device Manager shows that it (at least thinks) it has the following controllers:
Intel(R) ICH8M SATA AHCI Controller – 2829 with an Intel driver, version 7.0.0.1013, dated 2010/06/08
    Intel(R) ICH8M Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 2850 with a Microsoft driver, version 6.1.7601.17514, dated 2006/06/21
(and ‘ATA channel’ controllers and the Ricoh card reader, etc controller). So perhaps it’s not surprising that ThinkVantage System Update gets confused.
I’m bothered by this because I’m about to upgrade the original Hitachi Travelstar 160 GB primary HDD with a Seagate  Momentus XT 750 GB hybrid hard drive, and I would like my machine to have the most up-to-date driver for its AHCI controller. (I’m not planning a RAID configuration, but I want the best shot at getting NCQ working* and avoiding problems with matching 6 Gb/s to 1.5 Gb/s SATA speeds.)
So my question is: How can I ensure I have the latest drivers for these controllers? A Google search yields conflicting information...
I would be very grateful for any responses.
(*Apparently, “Windows Vista and Windows 7 also natively support AHCI, but their AHCI support (via the msahci service) must be manually enabled via registry editing if controller support was not present during their initial install.”)
    Best regards,
    Cian Buckley

    Hello,
My understanding (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) is that all ThinkPad T61p's use Intel's 965 chipset.
The latest chipset device drivers are v9.3.1.1019 and available from here on Intel's support site.
The latest storage device drivers are b10.8.0.1003 and available from here on Intel's support web site.
