Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 for UK Z3C?

Can some-one give a definitive answer as to whether an Xperia Z3 Compact purchased in the UK is quick charge 2.0 enabled before I buy a QC charger for it? According to the Qualcom website both the Z2, Z3 and Z3C are QC 2.0 capable, however checking through this forum it appears that only the Japanese variant of the Z2 and Z3 actually have QC 2.0, is this the same for the Z3C? Thanks

Sorry for the late reply.
Yes, it does support Quick Charge 2.0 over the magnetic connector but the magnetic charging dock must also support Quick Charge 2.0. Our DK48 supports it.

  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

Does Sony sell charger that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 for my Sony Z3 Compact tablet?
Or should look at other charger manufactors? Any suggestion would be helpful

We currently don't have any Quick Charge 2.0 charger available i'm afraid but your tablet supports Quick Charge 2.0. So to use Quick Charge 2.0 at the moment you will need to look for 3:rd party chargers that supports this but i haven't tested any so i can't make any recommendation.

  • When will Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support be added?

Per Qualcomm's website the Snapdragon 801 CPU the Verizon S5 is equipped with supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, which gives the phone the same quick recharge capability as the Droid Turbo. However in my own testing, QC2.0 doesn't work with the Verizon S5. When will this support be added?

        jdrch,
We want you to take full advantage of the features of this device. The feature you are mentioning is something that we currently do not support. I would reach out to Qualcomm for any further information about their claims. Samsung, the manufacturer of this device, may also be a resource you may want to explore.

We forwarded this internally for more information some time ago and the information i got is that Z3 Compact does support Quick Charge 2.0. The following Xperia devices supports Quick Charge 2.0:
    Xperia™ Z3 Compact
    Xperia™ Z3 Tablet Compact
    Xperia™ Z2 Tablet
    Xperia™ Z3 (only Japanese variants SO-01G, SOL26 and 401SO)
    Xperia™ Z2 (only Japanese variant SO-03F)
Of our docking stations, only DK48 supports it.
But i don't have any Quick Charge 2.0 charger so i haven't been able to test how much faster it will charge.

  • M9 Very Slow Charging Even With Quick Charge 2.0 Chargers

I have a continuing problem with very slow charging even with Quick Charge 2.0 chargers. For example last night I had the M9 plugged into a fast charger for over 12 hrs and it went from 5% battery to 87%.   I checked  the Settings - Battery usage history - and it displays "NO APPLICATIONS FOUND" - very strange...
Something is very wrong. I have multiple 2 amp and quick chargers all with poor charging times. I have tried each of these:

The Ampere app displays varying charger power from 15 mA to 880 mA so I don't think it is accurate.
Testing with multiple chargers point to the problem in the M9. This is maddening. Seriously considering returning the M9.
    Any feedback?

  • Sony Quick Charge 2.0 UCH-10

Hello, can i use the UCH-10 Quick Carger 2.0 for the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet LTE ? And is the charger faster than the normal charger?Or is Sony planning to sell a special Quick charger for the Xperia Z4 Tablet?

    Hi,
The UCH10 is a charger for devices that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 standard (which Xperia Z4 Tablet does). So yes, it will work and also charge your Tablet faster.
Note that you should always use the UCB11 cable which is included with the charger at purchase.

  • Xperia Z3+ Quick Charge 2.0 NOT WORKING?

Bought my Z3+ less than 2 weeks ago.  Worked great at first. Then the problems started. My Incipio QC 2.0 Car charger stopped working on it. But it worked fine on my wife's Note 4. So I bought another Samsung QC 2.0 Car Charger. The Samsung came today. Same issue. When I plug in the charging cable, I feel the single vibrate to signify charging, but no lightning bolt, and device doesn't charge (No red LED also) I thought that was the end of it. Now bringing it home, BOTH my Sony and Samsung QC 2.0 AC Chargers stopped working on my Z3+!  How do I know this is a specific issue with QC 2.0? Because my Anker and Innergie NON-QC chargers (Car and AC) are working fine! Anyone else have this issue? Is this a software bug?

  • Does Passport support Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 ?

I have noticed my 2A USB car charger is barely maintining the battery level on my Passport when I use it with GPS navigation + 4G (typically using Waze) while driving.
While I can find the Passport listed on Qualcomm's website, It doesn't appear while using the "Quick Charge 2.0" filter.
Could we have an official position about the Quick Charge 2.0 support on the Passport please ?

  • Need quick charging support for Z3+ Dual version.

Why the charging from the battery only takes less than 1amp, but the charger itself can outoput 1.5A,  if fully use the whole capacity, no point of using higher wat charger.  Anyone has experience in electrical have idea?

Is the quick charger compatible with the Z3+ Dual as well? Because I read in an article that it's not. Can anyone confirm that info? Cuz I wanted to get that charger.

  • 'Lolipop 5.0.2, Quick charging 2.0'

    Hello, guys
So I have updated my Xperia Z2 to latest (5.0.2), and alot of people are saying the phone is compatible with Quick Charge 2.0.
So I am curious if anyone of you have tried, or know more? As long as the charger is quick charger from qualcomm then it should work, and people getting full charge in 1 hour and half instead of almost 4 hours as of now.
    Anyone know?

I have not seen any information about this being changed in the update to Android 5.0. Only the japanese variant of Z2 supports Quick Charge 2.0 according to the information i have.

  • Take a look at the OEM quick-charging chargers that really charge quickly

For  us phone users it really means getting our Android smartphones back into the game quicker than ever. And once you use it, you'll never want to use anything else. Do you use a Fast Charger and if you do, having any battery or heating problems?
A quick look at OEM quick-charging chargers that charge quickly | Android Central

I use them and have been using them. If you hear someone complain about heat, and claim wireless charging doesn't get hot are full of themselves. The Quick Chargers may get hot quicker , but doesn't stay hot for long periods of time and the quick chargers change in amperage the more full the battery is.

  • Got charged full retail for a new phone instead of Edge Up, wiped out bank account, had to refuse shipment, no compensation for the time spent talking to 14  representatives over the phone in the last week, and still no refund??

On 9/29 I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB as an edge up from my 5S, swiped my card at the store to pay the Edge Up fee, and was told 10/31 was the expected ship date.
Didn't see the order on my My Verizon account, spoke with 3 representatives on the phone to actually get the order number so I could track it.
On 10/24 the ship date disappeared and I called to find out there was an issue with the payment. I gave them my debit card number over the phone for the Edge Up amount, and they charged me full retail -- OVER $1,000.
They promised it wouldn't post to my account and it wouldn't ship after cancelling the order. Next day it shipped. I called FedEx and refused the package over the phone.
I called when the payment posted the next day, totally wiping out my bank account and charging me overdraft fees.
They said they'd push for a refund immediately -- on Sunday, 10/24. It's now 10/30, I see no refund, I have no phone, and I have over $100 in bank fees from their mistake.
I spoke with a supervisor on the phone and they said they could refund the bank fees, but would do nothing for the fact that they screwed up my order, and told me it would be another 2-3 weeks before they actually ship a phone to me if I ordered today.
Sorry, but that's NOT good customer service. I can buy out my Edge agreement, sell the phone on eBay, and go to another carrier pretty easily. I don't want to leave Verizon's service, but I don't really see how they value me as a customer?
Does anyone else have some idea of what I could do about this whole thing??
TL;DR -- Verizon charged full retail for a phone instead of Edge Up fee, still no refund, no compensation for the inconvenience and stress they caused, and another 2-3 week wait on a phone I ordered a month ago.

That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly.  Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled.  I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned.  Sorry this happened the way it did.  Definitely not efficient.
