Qualified Updated Selections not Saved in Import Map

Hello,
I create a new Import Map and Set the Qualified Update setting on a qualified table. When I reopen the map, the Qualified Update option is saved but not the selections for the qualified update. The defaults are saved: all fields are selected as matching qualifers. Create = blank, Existing = blank.
I have tried to recreate a new map and get the same results. Any ideas?

Created "Hierarchy Field" not saved in Import Mapping File

Hello experts,
I want to save the mapping created after having imported categories via MDM Import Manager.
Everything works fine as I execute an initial import (In "Map Field" tab, I create a "hierarchy field" based on the three fields "Categorie Name, Categorie Name 2, Category Parent" and mapp the Split Hierarchy field consequently ).
My problem is as I save the Mapping and try to reuse it for a new Categories import, the former "hierarchy field" does not appear anymore. I assume Saving Mapping does not save created hierarchy fields...
Can anyone help me on this?

From XML, with fields "Category Name, Category Parent".
Then in MDM Map Tab, I clone the Field "Category Name" and create the Hierarchy Field with name "Categories", parent field "Category Parent", Child Field "Category Name", and Node name field "Category Name Clone".
Then I map the Split Hierarchy field with the destination field "Category Name [DF]", and the source field "Category Name" with the Remote Key.
The matching field in Match Record Tab is "Category Name [DF]".
I save then the mapping file but am not able to reuse it : as I said, the Hierarchy field disappears !

"Updated images not saved" filter

Hi,
I would like an option to search images that has been updated but not saved. I dont write automatically and to be sure I save all images. But if I cluld filter it out it would be better.

Terje,
As a workaround, you can go to your top-most folder and use the filter bar to sort by Edit Time. This will put the images most recently edited at the top and make it easier to just select those with the "needs updating" icon.
As a side-note, if you select the entire catalog and hit Ctrl-S, my understanding and experience indicates that it only updates those that need updating and quickly skips over the other images. This is what I do now when I want to make sure I have updated all changes. Scanning the entire catalog of say 10,000 images only takes an additional minute or so. You can check by doing a complete catalog update twice in a row, the second time is the scan time with no changes being made.

Issue facing : Deletion of Qualified Look up field value : Using Import Map

Hi All,
We are having qualified multi-valued look up field in the main table. Using import map for the main table record update, we are trying to delete the qualified look up field value. But it is not working.
Please guide on how you have achieved this.
One approach is to supply NULL value, though I am not sure or have tried this.

Hi Ganga,
I assume that you are trying to delete the Qualifier values for the Qualified look up table. The only possibility is to pass the Null values to the already Existing records in the Main table. Please note that if you are passing one Null value only one record will get deleted. So you will have to pass the Null values equivalent to the number of values for the Multi Valued Qualified table.

'Allow insecure authentication' selection not saving in mac mail

I have just installed OS X Yosemite
Several of my IMAP email accounts in mail would not connect unless I select 'allow insecure authentication'.
Having made the selection, and saved, the setting reverts to unchecked.
How can I ensure that the selection remains saved?

I also have unsecure IMAP accounts (I have four email addresses) and when I upgraded I saw the Allow insecure authentication so checked it and then found it reverted so I checked it again and also unchecked the 'Automatically detect and maintain account settings'.
I then had a problem where the SMTP server keep dropping its connection and the only way to get it back was to delete the SMTP definition and recreate it.
After spending several hours trying to get it working and talking to the email hosting support (FASTHOSTS in the UK) I gave up and restored to Maverick.
Anybody out there using Fasthosts, multiple email accounts and has this working? Or even not using FASTHOSTS and has this working.
Anybody upgraded with multiple email addresses (same domain) and using SSL got this working?
Not sure if I should talk to Apple support but that costs £35 and I needed to move on so restore was faster.

Just updated - Prefs not saved - None of the posted solutions work

I just updated to 3.6.8 and found that the prefs are not saved. I cannot apply any themes and the "Firefox Updated" tab won't go away, I tried all the solutions presented here http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Preferences+are+not+saved and none worked.
- I have Macaffe and it was set properly
-The user.js file is completely empty
- prefs.js and prefs-n.js do not exit in the directory
Unfortunately, nothing worked. Any thoughts short of doing a complete uninstall?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems

Media selection not saved in Print dialog

When I select my Media, Quality and Bit Depth in the "Main" window in the Print dialog, they are not saved even though I select Save Current Settings as Preset. They change back to Plain Paper, 300 dpi and 8-bit. This will not work for high quality photo printing on my Canon iPF5000 printer. I've tried many different settings but nothing I have tried will get my settings to be saved and used. What are the "magic words" because the ones I've been using are not working?
I can print from Photoshop through a Canon 16-bit plug-in using my normal print paper profiles and get excellent results so the printer is working just fine. I am using the latest Canon print driver and firmware. I think if I could get the correct media type, quality and bit depth in the printer driver, I'd get good results as well. I have a new paper profiling device that can only print the test patches through the print driver... so I'm stuck so far.

I discovered the root of my problem. Canon does not have a printer driver for my iPF5000 that runs under Mavericks. My workaround was to load Mountain LIon on a separate drive and use the Canon supported print driver for OS X 10.8.x. Running under 10.8 worked and I was able to successfully input and send the media type to the printer. I was making printer paper profiles with a new x-rite ColorMunki Photo.
After creating the paper profile, I copied it over to Mavericks where I use Canon's 16-bit plug-in in Photoshop to send print jobs to the iPF5000. This apparently uses a slightly different print driver than the stand-alone print driver since it works just fine. The profiles create prints that are a very close match to the screen images.
Whether or not Canon will support Mavericks for the iPF5000 is anybody's guess since it's an older printer.

I tried quitting Captivate to force a save. The dialogue asking me to save appeared - I clicked Save and Captivate just sat there. I had to use Task Manager to quit the application and, when I reopened my file, the imported slides and the changes I made after importing were gone.
So importing slides is one more feature that doesn't appear to work.
I'm at the end of my first week working with Captivate 4 and I'm not impressed. The new features look promising but were they bought at the expense of older features that no longer work?

ITunes 10.6.1 update does not show newly imported music in viewer but files are in iTunes media folder, how to correct?

Updated to iTunes 10.6.1.7 today from 10.5 on a Win 7 SP1 64-bit machine and attempted to add new music to the library by both drag-n-drop and import files; this new music does not show up in the library viewer but has been added to the iTunes media folder. My iTunes 10.5 version was working properly prior to the update. Any recommendations to correct this issue? Thanks!

Immediately after the install, Windows was rebooted. I also attempted multiple variations of closing and restarting iTunes and/or reboot Windows. iTunes was unresponsive to mp3 files being added. Since I was unable to see the added music files to the library, I did not try to add other files.
Out of frustration, I let iTunes run over night and to my surprise the added music appeared in the library viewer the following morning. I can now add new mp3 (and AAC also) music files to the library and it immediately appears in the viewer. How or why it now works is a total mystery.

IPhone iOS 6.0.1 update did not make changes to map and camera

I recently completed the iOS 6.0.1 update to my iPhone 4. After comparing my updated phone with my cousin's, I noticed a number of differences. First, his update gave him the option to shoot wide angle photos. Second, his map now has a voice function that speaks the directions. We both have the same phone, same provider. Mine indicates that software is up-to-date. Not only do I not have these new features, but the map itself is notably worse than what it was with the previous software: it does not automatically advance as you drive. Does anyone know what might have happened here? Thanks in advance.

Neither of the features you mention are available on the iPhone 4.
Just because the device is running iOS6 does not mean it gets all the features.

IPhoto not saving new imports

Suddenly when opening or trying to import photos I'm getting a new (actually my first) error message:
An error occurred while trying to save your photo library.
Some recent changes may be lost. Make sure your hard disk has enough space and that iPhoto is able to access the iPhoto Library.
I have nearly 100gb space available and I'm not sure how to point iPhoto back to it's library. The library is still there, and the imported photos are in it if I 'Show Package Contents' but if I close iPhoto and reopen the event will be gone.
Also my account has read/write privileges to the iPhoto library.
Any thoughts?

Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

App auto updates are not saving configuration data for these Apps.

I use Junos Pulse to connect to my work office on my iphone and my ipad air. I am having problems when this App does an Auto Update from the App Store, that I loose all of my configuration settings. I have co-workers that do not have this problem. I'm at a loss to understand what settings on my devices are causing this to happen.

Manual update option not saved

I have all my music on an external drive that is not always connected to my laptop. So I would like to manage my iPod manually. The problem is that everytime I open iTunes the manual option is not checked and my playlists get erased faster than you can say "stop doing that".
How do I enforce the manual option for all time?

You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. You should be able to set your iPod to manual once you are connected:

Imported pics are not saved

I'm using iPhoto 11 version 9.15.
Since a few weeks iPhoto is not saving my imported pics anymore. Each time I'm importing my pics from my iPhone or my SD card it seems to be ok. But after I restart iPhoto the next time all the pics are lost. And I have to import them again. Luck for me that I didn't delete them on the card or iPhone.
I looked at the apple support page, but I couldn't find any software updates.
Anyone an idea what the problem could be? I'm pretty new in the apple world, and don't have much experience in the mac system.

Damaged database file.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Different service packs SAP MDM 7.1 supprot the same Syndication and Import map format.
For Import map is updating you can use Import manager
For syndication map is updating - Syndicator
If your syndication and import map have been saved into repository just archive repository from your source landscape and unarchive it in destination.
If your syndication and import map haven't been saved in repository.
Exporting your maps to xml(syndication maps from syndicator and import maps from Import Manager) before migration and importing it to new repository.
According updating(modification) repository structure:
For Import map is updating you can use Import manager
For syndication map is updating - Syndicator
Another way(very exotic) - make changes in exported xml maps.
