Our company trades and manufactures food ingredientes, therefore Quality Management is essential.

Improve/extend equalizer and add 3D sound. Sound quality really poor.

I've been using the 2g nano for a while now and i must say the audio quality is really poor if compared with my 3 year old iRiver (which only has 256mb memory). Lots of people keep saying how great the sound quality is but i believe people saysing that just dont know any better. For those who do hear the difference the only satisfaction is the storage capacity.
The Equalizer is a big shock. People (even Apple fans) say its best to leave it off for improvement. Why ? because turned on the music gets heavily distorted. People even blame their earbuds. So people go off and buy a €40 earbud just for that extra bit of improvement which the nano should already provide with the nano itself.
So this is what should be done :
- improve overall sound quality
- add custom equalizer
- add Xtreme 3D sound (= is a really big ++ iRiver users understand)

Increasing/Decreasing "Gain" to a microphone in the FlexiJack.

HIncreasing/Decreasing "Gain" to a microphone in the FlexiJack.y I have the problem with my Xfi Titanium, that it has too much gain so when gaming, people hear me typing and I get weird echos while recording, there needs to be a gain control for the Flexiport, cause if this was at a lan party no one would be able to hear me over the noise of hundreds of desktops running at full power, with monitoring on I can hear each key stroke at any volume rate for my headset and the "mixer" doesn't help, just decreasing the output volume does not equal gain. In the next version of drivers make the mixer more like an actual mixer and include a gain knob or check box. SOMETHING!
Below is an example of an actual mixer channel strip, gain is refered to pre-amp and disregard the aux sends unless you guys want to have the ability to send through different outputs on the card and other hardware.
If you guys truly pride yourself on audio quality add gain, please. Then will this be the ultimate audio solution.
P.S. Should I actually send this to someone other than a mod?

LRe: Increasing/Decreasing "Gain" to a microphone in the FlexiJack.x Ok, forget the gain for right now, I do I stop the echo when I have the line in/Mic in monitor mode? It is not just a delay or something, I hear two separate signals one that is real time, desired output, and one that is delayed just enough to be noticeable so like 5ms at least. Does any one know how to fix this?
Current setup: Headphones plugged into the Front left and right and I have my mic plugged into the FlexiJack with the Microphone option checked. Enhancements make no difference and everything is default, besides FlexiJack. the only time I can get it to stop temporarily is by changing the Speaker Configuration between 2/2. and Headphones this only works for about an hour before the echo returns no settings were changed no application was launched, nothing.

Transaction Notification for Blocking Batch

Dear Experts,
I am facing a critical situation. My Client wants to Block the material movement if it is not inspected through Quality Personal. I have already Locked batches through General Settings > Inventory > Batch Status . But it only blocks the batches for Goods Issue and Receipts Transactions. It is not working in case of Inventory transfers.
I have created UDF on GRPO called U_InspStatus where by default value is Pending once the Quality personal changes the UDF value to Completed then only the batch should be able to move through Inventory Transfer.
Can anyone help me in creating Transaction Notification on Inventory Transfer Document which can block batches if there status is pending ?

1. Inventory transfer done by means of posting inventory transfer document? - Yes
2. Inventory transfer as applicable to customer not vendor. How do you select vendor in inventory transfer document? - Not selecting the customer in Inventory Transfer document not required I am moving material from one warehouse to another.
3. How did you update inspection status in inventory transfer document - Inspection status is updated in Quality Add on and not in Inventory Transfer. But if I am transferring material from one warehouse to another without Inspection then it should block the batch whose Inspection status is pending.

The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset works pretty well for me. Just make sure the mic is far enough away where you're not going to be breathing directly into it. To really make the tracks sound studio-quality, add a Compressor (with vocal presets) and possible a Gate to the vocal track of your podcast in GarageBand.

Can I add an extra lower quality music library to iTunes for iPhone syncin?

I currently have my whole iTunes library in Apple Lossless format as I like the high quality for my AppleTV and don't mind the extra HD space it takes up. However, it means that the files are really too big for the limited 8GB capacity of my new iPhone.
Question - can I set up a seperate area/seperate Music Library/seperate folder (whatever), where I can duplicate my entire current iTunes Music Library at a lower quality setting, specifically for use when syncing to my iPhone?
1. How would I duplicate to a lower quality?
2. How do I set up a seperate area for these lower quality files that will sync to iPhone?
3. Could I automate the CD ripping process so that it placed a file in each of the seperate areas (big ask that one)?

1. Go to iTunes Preferences>Advanced>Importing
Select Import using <AAC encoder> Setting <Custom>
Select the music you want to duplicate and add it to a playlist so its easier to find
Select all music to duplicate again right click and select Convert Selection to AAC
2. Close iTunes. Open iTunes holding the option key
It will ask you if you want to create a new library or open an existing one. Select create library
Add the new lower quality songs to the library
You can add the original songs first to this new library >>> then convert >>> and after the conversion remove the original songs from the library(just from the library do not move them to trash)
You can also just create a new playlist with the lower quality songs but then you would have duplicates in your library
3 You would have to import the songs from the CD twice
a. Once in the good quality library(by changing the import settings back from the low quality)
b. Then open the new library change the import settings and import again
An easy way to find the newly created files is adding a new smart playlist with the rules:
Playlist is Music
Limit to <how many songs you are duplicating> <items> selected by <most recently added>

One of my client is implementing 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 QS standards in US. Please let me know if there are any add-ons available that will help facilitate implementation and provide management tools for both of these standards or the FDA 21 CFR Part 820 as a minimum.

For these 2 Quality standards I do not think there is any specific AddOn. But I would say that to comply with these standards what ever is needed from the system mainly on the reporting side can be facilitated by configuration and through custom reports.
The ISO organization mainly validates standard on reporting and document maintenance and since I was involved on a few projects governed by ISO, I can say it is very much doable.
Any thing related to FDA mainly looks at tracability of an Item and how soon a Recall can me made on case of any quality issues.
When you have a Serial or Batch Managed Item, the Item can be easily traced to meet FDA's requirements.

QM01 - Add Production Order field to Create Quality Notification

Hi all SDNers,
I have searched and found many threads related to my question BUT I'm new to this and I don't know how to implement in detail.
Would you please guide me step by step adding a field into a standard TCode?
My requirement is to add the Production Order field (VIQMEL-FERTAUFNR) to the Create Quality Notification (QM01) Tcode under the 1st screen in Reference Documents section of the Reference Objects tab.
The program is SAPMQM00 and screen number is 3011.

Hi all,
I used the screen number 0140 in program SAPLQM03 as the initial screen before creating Notification type Q2.
Use SPRO:
Quality Management --> Quality Notifications --> Notification Creation --> Notification Type
--> Define Screen Templates --> Define Initial Screens
Then use Function Module QM03_CREATE_QMEL_WITH_WINDOW and screen 0140 above to configure.

Pandora sound quality bad -- how to add on site to browser

The sound quality for pandora is really bad lately. A new problem. Songs break up routinely, even if I am only wordprocessing on my computer. For their FAQ, they suggest add pandora to my sites, but don't know how to do this -- tried to find a place under tools re: security privacy settings. Not sure if that will fix it.

Why do my nested compositions have worse video quality each nested layer I add?

Using AE Mac v.13.2.0.49 with h.264 mpeg-4 footage, 4 compositions deep. Preserve Nested Resolution is on for compositions using original footage.
Footage in original comp - this comp has "preserve nested resolution":

At no point is the footage scaled up. All footage is at or below 100% scale. Can't read it at all by the final comp. What the heck am I doing wrong?

So I took a looked at your composition structure and your original screenshots and I have a few suggestions for your workflow and a few unavoidable facts about turning screen captures into videos.
First, the fonts on most computer screens and the lines in most web designs and app UI's are way too thin to allow any scaling of screen capture movies without terrible degrading. It looks like the fonts on your captured page are only one pixel wide so you cannot scale, especially scale down the footage without seriously degrading the quality. The other problem is that computer displays are seldom standard video resolutions. I have a separate monitor for doing screen captures. It's 1920 X 1080. You should also have the refresh rate set to 60 Hertz (NTSC) or 50 Hertz (PAL) depending on your location. I also turn on accessibility options and enlarge the fonts or scale up the browser window by pressing Ctrl and + on the mac to make the fonts and lines on the browser bigger.
On a Mac I suggest that you take a look at ScreenFlow instead of Camtasia. If you can improve your screen capture and do your initial editing of the screen capture in Screenflow or Camtasia, and render a suitable DI you'll have much better luck in post. Adding overlays, click callouts and other elements directly in your screen capture program is a lot faster than doing it in AE.
Last point. Looking at your comps it looks like you are just cutting up the nested comps. A lot of them are cuts to the same comp. I see the comps but I don't see position or scale values. I'm not sure what is going on in any of those nested comps and I'm not sure why they are not footage layers. This is what I'm getting at, you need to make sure that the screen capture footage and the nested comp is NOT scaled or repositioned. If you must reposition and your layer and both are an even number of pixels high and wide, then make sure that the position values are whole numbers. To make things easier the size of the comp should match the size of the video. Your selected footage size is 1424 X 1260 is not a standard size for that format. H.264/MPEG-4 AVC - Wikipedia It may work, but you would be better off using a standard sized monitor to do your screen captures. Whatever you do, do not scale up the screen capture to fill a standard HD composition. If the cut up footage needs to be a comp for some reason then collapse transformations should be on for all nested comps. Again, it would be very helpful to know what you are doing in your nested comps.
Last point, and I"m not sure whats going on in your composition so take this as a suggestion rather than a criticism, but it looks like your project is a lot of cuts made to the screen capture video and a bunch of audio effects like mouse clicks (which you should be able to capture), and an animated cursor. If that's what you are doing I would never approach this project entirely in After Effects. I'd put the screen capture in Premiere Pro, cut it, add my sound, animate my cursor if possible, and be done with the project. I can cut video in Premiere Pro about 100 times faster than I can cut in After Effects and if things need to be changed per client request, it's way easier. If there is something going on with the cursor that you can't do in Premiere Pro, then render your edit in premiere pro or import the sequence and add the cursor in AE.
To answer why your footage looks worse and worse I can only guess that you are shifting position or that the footage or the comp is scaled. If it were me I'd invest in ScreenFlow, do 90% of my cutting and compositing in Screenflow, then polish up the edit and add the other elements in Premiere Pro, if complex composites are required, do those in AE and bring them into your NLE to edit.

Also is there any way I can change the contact form email for all of my contact forms at once.
I have over 100 contact forms and i want to make them reach the same email anyway I can do that without going one by one?

If you have placed the image in Muse using File > Place and then scaled the image down in Muse while editing, then Muse publishes/exports the scaled down/optimized image in final output. When using as a Fill, the output size depends on the Fitting option you setup in the Fill options.
As for the contact form email, you would need to specify the email address for each form individually. There is no workflow to edit the same for multiple forms at a time.

I am wonder why when i add a picture with words to my slideshow in final cut the res clarity seems to get blurry when the poem I am making is playing the picture seems to become blurry but when i stop it the res quality seems to get better

i add a picture from the web to the final cut project and as my poem is playing some pictures are getting blurry when it plays but when i pause it the picture seems to be more clear

Possibly it's just a matter of switching Quality to Better Quality in Viewer Display Options. Or rendering the clip.
