Quality Certificate for Outgoing (Delivery)

Dear QM Gurus,
Here I am having one scenario where I need to print test certificate for delivery considering inspection characteristics of a finished material and semi finished material at different BOM levels.
Ex:
Finished Material :           FERT001
SemiFinished Materials :  HALB001, HALB002 & HALB003.
Raw Materials:                ROH001 and ROH002
Process: FERT001 produced using  HALB003 Produced using HALB002 produced using HALB003 Produced using ROH001 and ROH002
At HALB003 we are going to capture some characteristics and FERT001 I will capture some other characteristics, Now at the time of delivery I want to print both(FERT001 and HALB003) inspection characteristics results in Certificate.
Except FERT001 for all other materials batch is maintaining(No batch Characteristics) for tracking purpose.
I tried some standard procedure like assigning both material in quality certificate and all MICs relevant for both materials. Result origin and inspection spec origin as 03 and Material sort no as 2 where i maintained this material in Materials sequence.
With all the above mentioned settings I tried but I con't able to print the characteristic results of HALB003 in test certificate I can able to get only FERT001 Insp Characteristics only.
Please help me in getting it done, it is critical requirement for our client.
Thanks and Regards,
Krishna Mohan.NSL

just a idea,
use batch dervivation to get all HALB char data into FERT batch abd then print the delivery of that batch. try and come back

  • Quality Certificate for Goods Receipt - FAIR

    Hi Guys,
I’m after some advice with regards to the QM module.
We implemented QM last year to support our incoming inspection process flow.
The following dynamic rules were created via TCODE QDR1
    Z01       Inspection Always
    Z02       3 Inspections Plus Annual
    Z03       One Off Inspection
In the material master we have actived the inspection type 01.
    Next steps:
    Quality Certificate for Goods Receipt
We would like to set the certification flag to identify that a first article inspection report (FAIR) is required from goods externally procured.
Today all vendors are required to provide a FAIR with the 1st off receipt for a new material or items which have not been delivered for more than 12mths.
Is it possible to set/create much a rule in QM for the 1st del to be flagged certificate required?
    My initial thoughts were
    1. To setup quality information records for each material + vendor with the certificate “FAIR”.
    2. Then create and assign an inspection plan for the first off delivery.
    Problems I can see,
    1.     The certificate is only required for the first delivery regardless if the material requires a  2nd 3rd or 4th del to be inspected
    2.     How to apply the settings and reset them when a FAIR requirement (Annual)
    3.     Creation of this rule would have to accommodate the current QM rules not impact?
Has anyone implement certifications in this way or could they suggest a way it could be managed.
    Many Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Craig,
First thanks for the information on DMR this has solved the problem.
I do have a second question if you could it would be appreciated.
Can you change the QM control key for a PO.
In the material master I've activate QM with control key 0000 no certificate required
After raising a PO a change note is then released under this circumstances the vendors are required to provide a certificate with the PO.
To mange this I would like to change the control key in the PO - I get the error message.
Control key Z001 cannot be used here
    Message no. ME554
    Diagnosis
You wish to change the control key for quality management in procurement. Only the following changes are allowed:
Set current control key  from material
Set existing control key of item 0000
    Procedure
Is it possible to change the key at direct in the PO?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hello Friends,
While executing the transaction QC22(Quality Certificate for Batch), after giving the Batch Number and Customer Number, when i am executing it , system is throwing the error message as "Not all data was found for characteristic 90139982 in profile D80D8".
    Message no. ZQ010
    Diagnosis
Not all data was found for characteristic 90139982, referenced as number 0030 in certificate profile D80D8. The missing data could be the short text, specifications, or results.
    System Response
The missing charactertistic will not be printed on the certificate,
    Procedure
Review the settings for data orgin of the short text, specifications, and results, and adjust accordingly.
One more thing i would like to add here as against the same batch in april we had taken the print of COA (Quality Certificate) through the transaction QC22. But now we are trying to do that than system is thrown above mentioned error.
As i am new in QM, kindly explain we were to maintain the certificate profile.
    Waiting for the experts inputs.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi
Try with QA33 you may have display authorization,  or check in MB51 on the base of material and batch you can find the lot number generated, then go to QA03 and check the result, if you want to validate the characters check with the inspection plan, the characters entered in the inspection plan and the characters in the concerned certificate profile.

  • Selection of batches when Quality certificate for deliver

    Hi all,
If I want to create a certificate for a delivery manually, I was wondering if it was possible that I have the possibility to select for which delivery items the analysis data will be printed on the certificate.
Can this be done via BAdi QC_QMOCERT_CREATE?

    Hello Tom,
as far as I know it is possible to print a COA for each batch, even if a batch split is involved.
    1) print CoA for subitem with batch number but not for whole item
The output type can also be added manually in the delivery, subsequent processing via QC20 as usual. This allows sending the deliveries.
    2) Either copy requirement of output determination. It contains coding which prevents CoAs being printed for split items. Either remove the lines
Certificate not for batch split sub-items
      perform qc_chargenposition changing sy-subrc.
      check sy-subrc eq lc_rc00.
or replace them by something more elaborate, e.g. allow printing for subitems but suppress main items; maybe even - don't allow printing for subitems without inspection lots
    This should resolve your case.

    Isabelle

  • Quality Certificates for Finished Goods

    Dear Friends,
Please guide me to map in SAP for the below Scenarios of Quality Certificates.
There are two types of Certificates for Finished Products
    1.     Permanent Certificates
We have certifications from some Institutes for Finished products.
    e.g.  TUV: IEC 61215 Ed.2, IEC 61730 & UL1703
These Certificates are sent to customers only on Demand.
I want to create all these certificates in SAP and assign materials to them. Print should come manually.
    2.     IV Testing Report (Certificates for each Product).
Each Product is tested by a machine for its efficiency and power. A Current-Voltage relationship Graph is produced by the Machine. We call it IV TESTING REPORT. Each product has its IV Testing Report and it is sent with the product to customers.
Print of this certificate should come automatically with each Billing Invoice in SD.
    Regards
    Prashant Atri

These requirements can all be handled by the standard SAP COA process.  You simply have to create a couple of different SAP script forms.  One for the stand COA where you report out the values where you actually test the product via your machine, (requirement 2).
For the frost requirement, you need to reproduce and send copies of outside certifications.  I assume you actually have a paper copy of these and that these are for specific products.  For these, you create separate COA outputs, one for each cert type.  You create a SAPscript form for each.  These forms will be identical with but one exception.  In the form, instead setting it up for reporting characteristics and product info, you create it with one frame that is a bitmap.  (your programmers should be familiar with doing this for putting on company logos on various forms).  Instead of displaying a logo in those frame, you display the bitmap image of the cert you want to use. So the SAPcript is very easy, just a single bitmap along with anything else you decide you want to include on the form.
All your certs can then be sent automatically at time of delivery just like any regular COA.

  • How to pick quality stock for a delivery in WM

    Hi All,
I am working on a scenerio wherein stock is to be picked from unrestricted and quality stock type, wherver available. It has been acheived by making setting in availability check control "Include Quality Stock".
The scenerio and the issue is-
The storage location is WM linked. For testing I maintained stock only in Quality . While creating delivery for a sale order, the batch got determined which belongs to quality stock. But when I do LT03 for the delivery it tries to pick the stock from unrestricted use in WM.
How to make system search the stock in the Quality in WM.
    Thanks in advance
    Vinod

    Hi bmemq,
You can do this with the Equal? function found in the Comparison palette. You would have one Equal? function for each index that you're interested in- one input would be a constant of that number and the other input will be the index terminal of the for loop. Next, you can you a Compound Arithmetic found in the Boolean palette. The number of inputs of the Compound Arithmetic can be expanded to match the number of indices that you're interested in, and each input will be the output of an Equal? function. Finally, the output of this Compound Arithmetic will be in the input of the selector in a Case Structure where you will have a true and false case to toggle the Boolean.

  • Set up quality certificate printing for deliveries

    Hi,
to print a quality certificate for a delivery,
    1. do you need a certificate profile? Or is that only for QC for a batch and for an inspection lot?
    2. do you always use usage B?
    3. do you always use application V2?
    4. how do you set up condition tables, access sequences, condition types and output determination procedures?
I created an output type (copy of LQCA) in application V2, assigned a program (RQCAAP00), a form routine (entry) and a form (QM_QCERT_01). I also created and released a certificate profile.
But when I run QC20, I get the message
"No messages for initial processing exist".
    What could be the error?
    Thx.
    Jessica

Yes, you always need a certificate profile.  Usually you always use V2 (shipping).  The form you used, QM_QCERT_01 is only an example form that SAP provides.  It should be copied and must be adapted for your businss and you'll need a person knowledgable about SAPscript to make changes to it.  I  believe there is another for a COC (Certificate of compliance) which might be more what your looking for if you don't need to report batch values or inspection lot vales.
Your probaly missing the certificate recipent record.  You'll find this under the QM area under Outgoing certificates.  You can try adding LQCA output type directly to the delivery in the item outputs.  (Any good SD person on site should be able to show you how to do this)
To understand condition tables and procedures I would again turn to an SD person or a pricing person.  They use the condition technique a lot and should be able to explain it easilly.  They should also be able to help with setting up the output procedures and related items as well.

  • Certificate for material transfer

    Hi all,
I have a material A which is produced in plant 1013 and inspection lot is also generated for the same in the plaant 1013
Now i am transfering ( stock transfer plant to plant) this material (A) to another plant 1025 .Where i will only pack this material and create delivery for the matrial B ( A+ packing)
now i want quality certificate for this delivery and the data should come from the inspection lot of material A.
Pls tell me how i will make assignemnt or setting in certificate profile
    Asd

    Dear asd,
As per STD SAP the cos profile can is not maintained plant wise, so you can use common profile for the material globally for all the plants.
Secondly the inspection type normally get assigned to the cos profile. Go to Header screen of the profile, and press F1 help to the grab the further information regarding that field.
    Then,
You have not activated any inspection type for the other plant, it means you will not inspect the material at that reeving plant. So you can print the COA for the only lot you would have for the material.
"Above all, to print the COA, you must have inspection lot."
    OR
As another option what you can do is activate QM for the plant 1023. and copy results of the inspection lot of plant 1013.
Now to know the functionality of copying inspection results.
You can search using term "Copy inspection result from one lot to another" at SDN search.
Then take COA print from plant 1023

Here is my question, this is the first time i am working on Quality certificates
From sap help came to know that
For Quality certificate for Delivery we need to create a certificate profile , forms that is lay out and contents of the certificate

Thats clear for me, but also we need to define the output type as LQCA and LQCB if it is ship to party or sold to party
so i belive that when ever delivery Inspection lot UD is done Quality certifiacte is printed according to certificate profile and output type
i belive that the charactersitics of the inspection lot also printed in the Quality certificate
system gets the information from certificate profile , in the charecteristic assignement
just please someone help me that my understanding is correct
Also i need to know if i want to print Quality certificate for inspection lot how do i set the output type as there is nothing like LQCA,LQCB for inspection lot

    Thanks in advance
    Raj

  • What are the required settings for Quality Certificate

    Hi Team
What are the required settings for Quality Certificate for Raw material from vendor. This is my RR - Result Recording  for inspection lot.
Please sugget me T-Code to view this.
Can I see say for 6-9 months RR done insp. lot.
    Thanks

Settings for Quality Certificate for Raw material from vendor,
Activate QM Procurement key, enter qm control key with certificate and Enter certificate type in certificate field.
    There are 2 cases,
u want details of certificate send by vendor
u want to record results and see inspection lot wise results.
    case1
depending upon the certificate selected by u, system will give u warning or error msg for certificate confirmation at the time of gr. for confirmation QC51 t_code is used. here status has to be changed to 'filed and inspected' then gr will be allowed.
all these certificates can be dispalyed in QC55 T_CODE.
    CASE2
U can record results and see in inspection report tab in QA33

But part of data for quality certificate is of intermediate materials which is already conumed for production of FG so stock is zero for batch of consumed SFG. (ALL FG AND SFG IS BATCH MANAGED). We can upload FG part of quality data require for certificate as FG stock with batch number will be uploaded as initial stock upload with 561 goods movement. But how to manage SFG part of quality data, as stock for consumed batch of SFG will be zero and hence can not have inspection lot for SFG batch.

  • Combining Master inspection charac. of HALB & FERT in a Quality Certificate

    Dear Experts,
material A (halb) with Inspection Plan1 produced  material B (fert) with inspection plan 2. Some of the Master Inspection Characteristics maintained in inspection plan 1 are not in inspection plan 2. I intend to create a Quality Certificate for material B (fert). How do i pick some charateristics from insp plan 1 (which is assigned to halb material A)  to display in addition to charateristics from insp plan 2 (assigned to fert material B). Characeristics from fert diplays in my Quality Cert, but how do i incorporate characteristics from the halb?

You do this in the certificate profile.  Click on the button on the menu bar labelled "Materials".  In here you define what materials the system should look for to find the relevant batches or inspection lots.
For this functionality to work, you must have the batch where used functionality set up.  I recommend having the batch where used list update in real-time rather then in batch.
