Quality Certificate Profile:alternative converitable UOM for Non SI units

Dear All,
I have a requirement from the client where I need to maintain the alternative UOM as below:
1. Micron to Guage with convertiable factor 1 Micron = 4 guage
2. Kg/cm2 = PSI (Pounds per sq inch) with cov factor 1 Kg/cm2 = 14.29 PSI.
As I understood from SAP document we can maintain alternative UOM for SI units only.
Please anyone guide how can I fulfill this requirement.
Thanks,
Uday Kumar

Better solution Craig,
Dear Uday,
You can set the formula for the calculated characteristic as it convert the Micron result in to the gauge automatically,
Best Of Luck,
Regards,
Shyamal

  • Quality Certificate for Outgoing (Delivery)

    Dear QM Gurus,
Here I am having one scenario where I need to print test certificate for delivery considering inspection characteristics of a finished material and semi finished material at different BOM levels.
    Ex:
    Finished Material :           FERT001
    SemiFinished Materials :  HALB001, HALB002 & HALB003.
    Raw Materials:                ROH001 and ROH002
Process: FERT001 produced using  HALB003 Produced using HALB002 produced using HALB003 Produced using ROH001 and ROH002
At HALB003 we are going to capture some characteristics and FERT001 I will capture some other characteristics, Now at the time of delivery I want to print both(FERT001 and HALB003) inspection characteristics results in Certificate.
Except FERT001 for all other materials batch is maintaining(No batch Characteristics) for tracking purpose.
I tried some standard procedure like assigning both material in quality certificate and all MICs relevant for both materials. Result origin and inspection spec origin as 03 and Material sort no as 2 where i maintained this material in Materials sequence.
With all the above mentioned settings I tried but I con't able to print the characteristic results of HALB003 in test certificate I can able to get only FERT001 Insp Characteristics only.
Please help me in getting it done, it is critical requirement for our client.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Krishna Mohan.NSL

    just a idea,
use batch dervivation to get all HALB char data into FERT batch abd then print the delivery of that batch. try and come back

    Hi,
Pls check this Link Re: Certificate Profile QC01
Note : Quality certifiactes which is important for business, there are two types.
Incoming Certificate - while performing incoming inspection against MIGO (Vendor PO),quality inspector/engineer should prepare the certificate, this scenario is called Incoming certificate.
Outgoing Certificate - while performing Final inspection against Prod.order or Sale order delivery, quality inspector/engineer should prepare the certificate, this scenario is called outgoing certificate.
Quality certificate profile is mandatory with characterstics values.

    hi
    incoming certificate,
you have to maintained setting in material master in quality view screen  in procurement and create certificate profile.
and following settingis  for outgoing certificate.
    1) you have to maintained certificate profile determination in spro and output determination in spro first.
    2) you have to create certificate profile by t code QC01 and assigned inspection characteristics there. that you want to view on certificate. and give output form there.
    3) assigned that certificate profile to your material or material/ customer in QC15. for condition QCA1
    4) maintained customer info record for out put determination in VV11 for LQCA condition.
when you go for delivery you can see into out that LQCA outout

  • Quality Certificate -QC22 & QC20

    Dear Friends
I have to set up the QM processes for a new plant . Quality certificates needs to be Printed for Batch (QC22 ) & Delivery (QC20)
Can you please let me know what are the mandatory Customization & Master Data settings to achieve the above
so that I can maintain the same & test a cycle
Your help & advice will be Really Appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    Sathi Babu

    Dear Sathi
    The master data required is
    Creation of Certificate Profile: (QC01)
A certificate profile controls inspection lot selection, the sequence of characteristics, and the characteristic data. It contains header data and characteristic data; the latter is optional. Before you can create a certificate profile, an appropriate SAP script form must be available.  In characteristic data you need to mention the MIC which is going to get rpinted.
    Assignment of Certificate Profile: (QC15)
Before a certificate can be created, the certificate profile must be assigned to at least one object. However, a certificate profile can be assigned to many different objects and object combinations. For example, you can assign a profile to:
    Two different materials.
    Three different material groups.
    Many material/customer combinations.
A certificate profile is assigned to one or more objects for a specific time period. You determine the level at which the assignment is made. For example, you can choose the following key combinations:
    Material and customer.
    Material.
    Material group.
    Create Certificate Recipient:(VV21)
The recipient of a certificate  that has a function in the delivery item (for example, the customer, vendor, or contact person). The functions that are defined for the output (certificate) are defined in Customizing.
When you define a recipient you determine:
u2022     When the certificate should be created.
u2022     Who should receive the certificate?
u2022     In which language the certificate is created.
Each recipient you define is a condition record for the output determination (LQCB ) You can use these records when you create or change a delivery to automatically find the corresponding output.
Please let me know once you do this and you have any issues
    Regards

  • Profile Option: HZ: Display Accounts for All Operating Units

I just noticed this profile option, but cannot find any documentation stating what it does. Does anyone know? Offhand, it sounds like the customer account is now org-striped, in addition to the sites, but I don't see any other evidence of this.
    Thanks.

Have you looked at note 369821.1.?
    It says,
If you want to review all of the Quotes for all organizations then you need to set the profile "HZ: Display Accounts for All Operating Units" to "Yes" at the site level. After that you will be able to see all the transactions in OCO for all organizations. Sandeep Gandhi

While executing the transaction QC22(Quality Certificate for Batch), after giving the Batch Number and Customer Number, when i am executing it , system is throwing the error message as "Not all data was found for characteristic 90139982 in profile D80D8".
    Message no. ZQ010
    Diagnosis
Not all data was found for characteristic 90139982, referenced as number 0030 in certificate profile D80D8. The missing data could be the short text, specifications, or results.
    System Response
The missing charactertistic will not be printed on the certificate,
    Procedure
Review the settings for data orgin of the short text, specifications, and results, and adjust accordingly.
One more thing i would like to add here as against the same batch in april we had taken the print of COA (Quality Certificate) through the transaction QC22. But now we are trying to do that than system is thrown above mentioned error.
As i am new in QM, kindly explain we were to maintain the certificate profile.
    Waiting for the experts inputs.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jitendra Chauhan

    Hi
Try with QA33 you may have display authorization,  or check in MB51 on the base of material and batch you can find the lot number generated, then go to QA03 and check the result, if you want to validate the characters check with the inspection plan, the characters entered in the inspection plan and the characters in the concerned certificate profile.

  • Set up quality certificate printing for deliveries

    Hi,
to print a quality certificate for a delivery,
    1. do you need a certificate profile? Or is that only for QC for a batch and for an inspection lot?
    2. do you always use usage B?
    3. do you always use application V2?
    4. how do you set up condition tables, access sequences, condition types and output determination procedures?
I created an output type (copy of LQCA) in application V2, assigned a program (RQCAAP00), a form routine (entry) and a form (QM_QCERT_01). I also created and released a certificate profile.
But when I run QC20, I get the message
"No messages for initial processing exist".
    What could be the error?
    Thx.
    Jessica

Yes, you always need a certificate profile.  Usually you always use V2 (shipping).  The form you used, QM_QCERT_01 is only an example form that SAP provides.  It should be copied and must be adapted for your businss and you'll need a person knowledgable about SAPscript to make changes to it.  I  believe there is another for a COC (Certificate of compliance) which might be more what your looking for if you don't need to report batch values or inspection lot vales.
Your probaly missing the certificate recipent record.  You'll find this under the QM area under Outgoing certificates.  You can try adding LQCA output type directly to the delivery in the item outputs.  (Any good SD person on site should be able to show you how to do this)
To understand condition tables and procedures I would again turn to an SD person or a pricing person.  They use the condition technique a lot and should be able to explain it easilly.  They should also be able to help with setting up the output procedures and related items as well.

  • RFC Destination for Quality Certificates

We are setting up QM and one step is to save quality certificates from suppliers. The problem is we get error "OA009 Storage system not known" on trans QC51, it seems because we do not have defined the Content Repositiry on trns OAC0.
SAP has predefined values for quality certificates:
    ObjectType: BUS2117
    Doc. Type: QMICERTPDF
    Cont. Rep. ID: D3
    Link: TOA01
My problem is that when I try to create content repository D3 in trans OAC0 it has a requiered field: RFC destination, which I assume is where the data will be stored, anyone knows which one should I choose?

  • QM layout set QM_QCERT_01 for certificate profile

    Experts,
I'm creating a certificate profile in QC01 and I want to assign form QM_QCERT_01 as a layout set. It's the standard SAP form for the quality certificate.
But I get the error message: "Text QM_QCERT_OFF_SPEC_TEXT not available for layout set QM_QCERT_01" (Message no QC 094).
Diagnosis: In the form QM_QCERT_01, a reference exists to text QM_QCERT_INSPECTION_METHOD (text ID ST, language EN). However, this text is not available in the current client. This may be due to one of the following reasons:
o  The text is only available in the original client.
o  The text is not available in either the original or the current client and should therefore be created.
System Response: The text cannot be evaluated while the certificate is being created. Information and logical queries could be lost for this reason.
Procedure: Check your entries in form QM_QCERT_01. If required, create the text QM_QCERT_INSPECTION_METHOD.
If the text is only available in the original SAP client, copy it in all languages (if necessary) from the original client to the current client. To do this select Tools -> SAPscript -> Standard text -> Utilities -> Copy from client.
How do I check if the text is available in the current client? How do I add or create the missing text?
    Thanks. Rgds

If you are not sure then you can copy the std form and text in SPRO>QM->basic settings>
    Transfer QM Standard Texts
    Transfer QM Forms.
hence from 000 client this will be copied and then you can check it once again..if still problem persistis then it is sure that it is not available in std sytsme and you need to talk to ABAPer to cretae a text element  QM_QCERT_OFF_SPEC_TEXT .
This may be created in your client and assigned to layout...just check

  • Link between Material code, Customer & Certificate Profile (Quality)

    Hi All
I develop one smart form for quality certificate.
But I am not able to find out the link between Material, Customer & Certificate profile.
In which table these all data are storing.
On the basis of above condition MIC will print on Quality certificate.
    Regards
    ARK

It should be posted in QM forum, isn't it?  Anyway, try this.
First you get the profile schema in table T683 (configuration of profile schema in Quality Management -> Quality certificates -> Certification Profile -> Profile determination -> Define schema for profile determination).  Standard one is QC0001.
Then you use function call V61I_CERT_PROFILE_FINDING with parameter (standard routine for finding certificate profile.  Unless you have the user exit, this routine should work):
    I_APPLICATION = QC
I_DATE = current date or whatever date (i.e., delivery date in outbound delivery)
    I_DIALOG = leave blank
I_HEADER_COMMUNICATION => here you can put in your customer, material, plant ; depend on your access sequence
    I_SCHEME = value from table T683
You will get the output in table E_KONDI which give you data of condition rec. no, certification type, profile and version.
Then you can use certification type, profile and version to select the characteristics from QCVM.
    Hope it helps.
