Quality inspected stock for the sales return material

Hi,
For the very first time I'm working on Reworking order type. There was a material from customer return. My client want to reprocess it. So for the testing purpose in quality, I activated inspection type 06 (Inspection for returns from customer) for the material and transferred it to QI. Then I created a manual inspection lot and made defects recording and usage decision as Rejected. Now my question is where will the stock go after usage decision?

hi,
655 is for returns direct to QI stck. lot may be either 05 or 06 type.
if u want than as i already suggest you assign 05 type against return order type in Configuration (SPRO).
Quality management-> Quality Inspection -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection lot Creation> Inspection at shipping-->Define inspection lot origin to delivery type.

Quality inspection stock for a vendor

Hi,
When receiving material against PO for a vendor, stock should get posted always in quality inspection for this vendor. This requirement is only for particular vendor, not for all. If in material master, QM procurement key is active, then it will be for all vendor, which is not required.
Please suggest.

please check the vendor purchase view, there would have been a check mark.or may be the check mark in the info record.

Quality inspection stock for scrapping

Hello SAP expert,
In MMBE there are 2800 PC in the Quality inspection SLoc 1005.We want to scrap those 2800 PC. We want to do this with MB1A, movement type 551 or 554. With movement type 551, the quantity must be transferred to unrestricted. For movement type 554, we can scrap directly from SLoc 1005.
When trying to do this, the error "Change the inspection lot stock of material 10009021in QM only" is shown. The person of the Quality department checked the inspection lots and canu2019t find something. So we donu2019t know where to look for this anymore.
Can you please help?

Hello,
I have noticed that they use MB1A, and with movement 551 (withdrawal for scrapping) and they said the stock will be transfer to UNRESTRICTED, then they do 554 movement (withdrawal for scrapping from quality inspection - reversal) which i think is a wrong process?
they can use movement 553 (withdrawal for scrapping from quality inspection) am i correct? to achieve they desired. and plus where can i find when i achieve to scrap the QI stock? where i can may the proof that the QI stock was scrap? in what tcode can i find this scrap number of material i done?

Plz tell me How to use quality inspection stock.can i use quality inspection stock for any transaction directly.
Now i have 100 quality inspection stock is there.but i am not taking these stock to unrestricted use stock.i want use these stock to all transaction like 301,303,309.......

Use t-code MB1B to transfer stock from quality inspection - unrestricted-use stock
Movement Type 321 Transfer posting stock in quality inspection - unrestricted-use stock
The quantity is transferred from stock in quality inspection into unrestricted-use stock. Here you can post the quantity to another storage location.
You cannot use this movement type for QM-managed materials since transfer posting for these materials takes place via the usage decision.
Possible special stock indicators: E, K, O, Q
u2022 K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
u2022 O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
u2022 E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock
u2022 Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.

Hi Prasad, Make sure that inspection type 08 is assigned and activated in Material Master's QM view. Then you would be able to move the stock from unrestricted to quality using MB1B (Mvt/Type 322).

Stock for the particular day - Unrestricted, Blocked, Quality Inspection

Hi,
There is a standard transaction MMBE, where we can see the current stock values with all specifications like unrestricted stock, blocked stock, reserved stock, quality inspection stock....etc.,
in the same way I would like to have the stock of the material for the particular day.
Is there any standard transaction available?
If it is not available, please let me know how to arrive the stock(Logic) to prepare a report for that.

MB5B gives you the opening & closing stock on a particular date. But i dont think it gives you the detailed breakdown of the stock (viz., Unrestricted, Blocked, Quality Inspection). Correct me if ia m wrong.
@OP: FYI the current stock (period-wise) is stored in the tables MARD & MCHB. But none of these give you the current day stocks.

Delivery is accepting material in Blocked & quality inspection stock

Hi Experts,
During delivery ( VL01N) the system asks for Serial Nos for the delivered Material and serial Nos are assigned by going to Extras--> serial Nos. and PGI is completed
In this process the system could able to take the serial Nos that are in Blocked (07)or Quality (02) state also apart from the Unrestricted Use.
How can we restrict the system to prevent selecting the stock/material apart apart from 01 state ( i.e unrestricted use)

You have customize that availability check which runs behind delivery to check what are the stock available.
You have to make sure u unchecked the quality inspection stock and blocked stock

Could any one explain how to extend a Storage location (which is actually maintained for the Returns) to make use for the Blocked and Quality inspection stocks. Does this require any config settings.

Let me be more clear,in describing my requirement. Actually the present Storage location is maintained for only Returns. But in addition to this I require to make use of this storage location for the purpose of the maintianing Blocked Stock or QI stock.
Therfore to achieve above what are necessary steps or do i need to maintain any config settings for this.

Automatic batch determination for quality inspection stock

Hello, gurus.
Could you please, help me with the following problem: I have received on the certain storage location some quantity of material maintained in batches into quality inspection stock with 501 movement type. Now I would like to make reverse posting, but I do not want to use cancellation of the document, I need to use 502 movement type and determine batch from quality inspection stock with automatic batch determination in MIGO transaction. I assigned Batch search procedure to 502 movement type and created all necessary condition records. I use Checking Group for Availability Check CH and Checking Rule for Availability Check 03 where I include quality inspection stock. However no batch can be determined. But if I use 331 movement type, everything is OK, the batch is determined without any problems. If I manually put batch and valuation type for the material, the system shows no error.
Why it is not possible to do automatic batch determination for quality inspection stock then?

OK, let us talk abou it. I check it in my system, actually 502 can work, but I can't trigger BM determination by 501. Maybe BM determination onlys to select some existing batches for consumption. For 501 in my pratice I can select all the existing batches to be added or just add a new batch.

FG material in Prod Ord once 101, goes to Quality Inspection Stocks

I would like to ask, why does one of our Finished Goods in our production order once confirmation 101 was done to it, the stock went to the Quality Inspection Stocks? We have check its material master data Quality Management Tab and below are what we see on it:
in the Procurement Data Section:
QM proc. active was TICK
QM Control Key = 0000 (No active functions, info message)
in the General Data Section:
Inspection Setup was not TICK (no inspection set-up was maintain for the finished goods)
That is why we wonder why it still been cue to QI stock once 101 was done? how could we check this and where else does this things occuring? please guide and help us to resolve the problem of ours.

in case externally produced material check the Qinfo record for the same also.

Storage Location Error duing GR of Subcontarct for The Sales Order Stock.

Is there any settings to avoid individual entry of Storage Location field for the child components during the Goods Receipt from Subcontractor for the Sales Order Stock.
As per SAP standard , I have created Separate storage location for Sales order stock components as the Stock provided to vendor . While receiving the header component , System showing error to enter storage location for all the BOM component s . My Requirement is , Storage location should come automatically for the child component while receiving the Header Component.

He's right, the posting is not a bug.
In case of MTO scenario, if components are managed in the sales order / project stock system withdraw them from storage location.

The subcontracting orders are account-assigned to a sales order or a WBS element. Thus, the components are not transferred (using a transfer posting) to the "stock of material provided to vendor" but are directly withdrawn from the sales order stock or the project stock at the time of the goods receipt.
Since the components are not transferred to the "stock of material provided to vendor", we recommend that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor. This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the sales order stocks and project stocks.

Message: Stocks already exist for the sales order

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to change the material valuation class in MM02. I am getting an error Stocks already exist for the sales order. Even though there exists no stock. SAP note suggests to make this error message as warning message. Could you pls help me to know the message class and number?

Yes, you are right. SAP, unfortunately does not tell that stock does not exists in current or previous period. As I consultant, I have assured that there exists no stock in current and previous period. However, I am not sure, still why this message is thrown. Its checked in MD04 that nothing is assigned to material and in MMBE no stock exists. We shall take care of this Sales order that it is not used after changing the valuation class but now I need to know what is the message class and number for that error. Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Special stock indicator for the sales order (VBAP-SOBKZ=)

Dear All,
I am getting a warning message while making an initial entry of stock with Mov.Typ : 561 and Special Stock Indicator (E), i.e., "The special stock indicator for the sales order (VBAP-SOBKZ=)is different from the special stock indicator in the goods movement.
The system is allowing to post the initial entry of goods but when I am trying to do a PGI, it is throwing an error saying that, deficit of stock in the specific storage location.
Can anybody help me out with this problem ?

Hi Indrajit,
Please post the stock with Special Stock Indicator (E), and againest sales order and item.
Go to MB1C transaction enter Movement type,Plant and special stock indicator E.
After that you enter Sales order Number and Item then save the document.
Noe you try to do PGI,

I want Sto stock to Quality Inspection stock.Then i want Quality Inspection stock to production purpes

For the material to go into quality stk,in the puchasing view of material master for the receiving plant tick the post to inspection stk & save.
Then do the STO the material will come automatically into quality stk.
Even if u dont tick in material master still u can receive the matl in QI stk when doing migo by selcting the QI stk.
After receiving the matl u can move it by using tcode MB1B & mvmt type321 to Unrestricted use.
IN SAP only the unrestricted can be issued to production.

Purchase order GR need to post to Quality inspection stock

Hi all,
How to post stock to Quality inspection directly for a PO. Even though in GR i make sure that its posting in Quality inspection, by default it is going to Urestricted stock. How to fix this by posting stock to Quality inspection directly?

Hi Avani,
Pre-requesite:-
QM should be live at plant level.
Data toeb maintained in QM view.
You need to activate inspection type 01 (For GR against Purchase Order) and 04 (For GR from Production, against Process Order) in QM view of Material Master. Doing this all the GR quantity will be posted in Quality stock automatically.
If QM is not live, you need to activate the "Post to insp. Stock" inidicator in Materail master QM view.
