Quality Inspection - Sampling procedure, Sampling scheme & Dyn. Mod. rule

Hi Experts,
I am impementing QM process to our group of company. Can you please help me?
How to link Sampling procedure, Sampling scheme & Dynamic modification rule??
It is very helpful for me, if you give a brief on this at the earliest.

  • Sampling schemas and Procedures

    hello guys,
I am trying to understand the following things with an simple example.
what option to use for quantitative (variables ) in sampling schema..I tried using variable by s-method but it is asking for a K-factor which I have no idea about it.
And in sampling schema...if i use fixed sample it ask for a valuation mode and control chart type..
Pls explain the valuation mode and control chart with combination of sampling type..no idea wht to use on what situtation.
As I need this info asap..pls help

  • BAPI for Sampling scheme and Quality Info Record in QM Module.

    Hi techies,
I have a two object(Sampling Scheme,Quality info record)  for which i need a BAPI for uploading the data.
Please tell me if any one knows.
    Richard.

    Vineeth,
Usually, I wouldn't think the follow-up action would be an issue with system performance.  You say 7000 items, but do you mean 7000 UD's?  I.e. an inspection lot of 1000 units isn't unusual and that would be 7 inspection lots.  You've also now said that the program needs to look across plants for UD rejections and for notifications.  That is another level of complexity.
While the UD follow-up action should still be able to handle that, I can't say it won't affect performance.  I was going to suggest you have it only run on certain UD codes, but since you now need to reveiw this across plants that might not work.
What happens if my vendor/material is in a skip stage at plant A and Plant B opens a notification agains the vendor?  Since there is no UD, the follow-up action wouldn't run and change the DMR at plant A.
If you need to look at a bunch of stuff, instead of the follow-up action, you may need to run a program in batch and have it run once an hour or every 10 minutes.  Depending on how you write it, it could be pretty efficient.

  • How to consider sample qty of raw material's quality inspection during mrp.

    hi expert.
i have to consider sample qty of raw material's quality inspection during mrp.
i am wondering how to implement it.
    is this possible?
    thank you~~!!

    Hi Seung Hyun,
I think it depends on the sample quantity, whether it is a fixed quantity or it depends to the raw material quantity or requirement from the orders. If it is not fixed, then you can use scrap percentage as suggested by Vivek.
If it is fixed quantity, then there are several alternatives to follow:
Include the sample quantity to your safety stock
Create another material number to distinguish the sample from the original raw material number and include it in the BOM

  • Quality Inspections Using WM Without Physical Sample Managment

I have configured the system to not use physical sample managment.  Warehouse Management is being implemented.  When the WM personnel perform a goods receipt and subsequently confirm open transport orders using LT04, a pop-up window to Process QM Inspection Lot requesting where to place the sample quantity appears.  The business wants the sample quantity to always remain with the stock.  How can I get rid of this request to specify where the sample quantity should be placed when I am not using physical sample management?

    hi allen,
why don;t you directly put the materail in final detination after goods receipt .
after goods receipt matl will be placed in interim storage type 902 and after confirming the transfer order the material will be placed in final destination .
In the system (stock overview) material will be shown in under inspection but material will be lying in the same location .
the sample should be removed from final destination and after perform the UD. after comletion of UD if material is ok then accept the material which will change the status of the material from quality inspection to unrestricted stock in the system but material will be lying the same location .
in this case you don;t have to keep the material in quality interim storage location for the sample approval.which will definitely save your time ,space & effort.

  • Sample  still showing in quality inspection stock after usage decision completed

After process order completed, we have received 100 units as a quality inspection stock.  After usage decision,( QA11), I have posted 98 units to unrestricted use and 2 units to the  to sample usage
98 units successfully move to unrestricted stock.
However 2 units for sample still showing quality inspection stock.
I have checked MB51, mat document number for sample is 4900000160 and movement type is 331
Do you have any idea why sample still showing in quality inspection stock. It  should consumed and zero out the quality inspection stock in MMBE

    Hi,
Please check you MIC's control Indicators.
Is it tick on Destructive insp. under Sample tab ?
Please tick it and try again with whole process.
Destructive Insp. : You specify whether the sample is to be destroyed after inspection. This means that is no longer available. This quantity is used in the usage decision as the proposed quantity for the posting to sample.

  • Oracle 9i Sample Schema running in client/server mode?

I've got Oracle 9i up on RH7.3 and have successfully executed the sample schema on the Server using the mksample.sql script.
Now the challenge is to run these same (sample schema) SQL scripts across a network using a 9i client. I copied the demo/schema files from the server installation to the client but when I invoke the mksample script the passwords have to include a connect_identifier which, in this environment, causes the subordinate scripts to get confused.
Has anyone else attempted to do this?

You did not have to change any of your scripts to put the connect_identifier.
Within SQL*Plus you can use the "SET INSTANCE <connect_identifier>" command to make that Oracle instance
your default for this session. After you do this, all your connect statements will not require a
    connect_identifier.
    ==============================================================
    $ sqlplus /nolog
    SQL> set instance ORA901
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.0.1.1.1 - Production
    With the Partitioning option
    JServer Release 9.0.1.1.1 - Production
    SQL> connect scott/tiger
    Connected.
    SQL>
    ==============================================================
As you can see, after the SET INSTANCE command, the connect command does not need a connect_identifier.

  • Determine Physical Samples using a Sample Scheme

    Dear QM friends,
currently I am struggling with a QM issue that maybe you can help me with.
Within the one of our factory sites we have rolled-out QM for quality inspection at GR, for this we use Physical Samples (just like we do in other factory sites). Only thing is that in this specific site they want to draw their physical samples based on a sample scheme. The other site use formulas to draw samples.
So we have setup a sample-drawing procedure to determine the samples based on a specific sample scheme that has been setup for this factory.
What I expected SAP to do when doing a goods receipt of for example 3 items is that SAP will draw 3 Physical Samples with a quantity of 1. However strangely SAP creates 1 Physical Sample with a size of 3 items.
    With kind regards,
    Kenny Galle

Thanks for both of your responses
In relation to you questions I checked the following:
    1. I am using Primary Samples alone and they are to be taken from a Sample Scheme linked in the Sample-Drawing Procedure;
    2. Increasing the sampel size does not work, I am still left with one physical sample and multiple items. Where I want a physical sample PER item.
When we use a formula in the Sample-Drawing procedure (e.g., "P1" or "TRUNC(P1/10)+1") it works fine and we get a Physical Sample per serialize item.
Any guidance will be highly appreciated!

  • Help - Sampling Scheme

    Hello SAP Gurus,
I have defined a Dynamic Modification Rule a Sampling Scheme and a Sampling Procedure to use in inspection plan.
Everything is working fine but the Sample Size is always 0. In Results Recording (QA32) the inspection lot quantity and number os the materials to inspect is correct... but the sample size is 0! The sample size shoud be equal to the number of the materials to inspect, right?
Heres is a picture of the sampling scheme:
Here is the link for the inspection lot:
The inspection lot is for 10 UN so, acording to the sampling scheme, the sample is 3 UN.... but the sample field is 0.
In the results recording is OK, here is an image:

    Hello SujitSND,
The characteristic is mandatory and I have maintained the relation between Sampling Procedure and Dynamic Mod. Rule and still not working...
I dont undestand what you mean by "Also have you used seviarity & AQL level same in DMR & SP"

  • Urgent - Inspection Sample

    Hi Experts,
    1. I am into Paper Mfg company. Here the scenario is that some 10,000 LB (varies) Jumbo Roll is produced. And from this Roll, just some small A4 size (roughly) of paper is taken for Quality Inspection which is like 0.000001 % (very much negligible) of the Jumbo Roll. Now, when doing UD and posting the stock from Inspection to Unrestricted Stock, it shows a Defective of around 1000 LB..and so the Unrestricted stock is 9000 LB. (Ofcourse I can change the qty there in the same UD - view, but I don't want this)
I am using Sample Procedure in QP01 for MIC-1, MIC-2. I don't know much about the Sample Drawing / Procedure.
    2. Also, the Lot size in Inspection Lot Transaction is around 2000 LB and I don't even want this much.
Please help.. Thanks in advance....And Good Points for best solution solution.
    Thanks.
    KIT.

    Dear Kumar,
All of first you need to elaborate the master date  you have maintained to the inspection plan. Like our friend Vanapalla has asked you.
What is the sample type you are using over there? (%sample, with schema), now don't ask how to check them, go to the transactions I ahve mentioned along with the question and revert with the details. (QDV3).
What is the sample size you have mentioned in the Inspection plan for the MIC, (QP03) and in which UOM?
If the sample UOM is different then the Base UOM, then what is the Conversion Factor.? (MM03)
Pls don't make any kind of enticement of points, hence what i believe is, to reward points to the good reply should be a natural and very often manner, that is not a matter of highlighting. It should be very obvious manner. Pls don't mind my words, If those have made you feel embracing, pls believe me, that was not the intention, and if that such so I deeply regret.

  • Sampling scheme: usage indicator dependency

1.) I have removed the last reference to a sampling scheme X in a sampling procedure
2.) Table QDSV is not showing any references to scheme X any longer
3.) Nevertheless QDP2/3 is still showing "Used in procedure" as checked
Does anyone have an idea why this is the case? Will this flag never go away, even if no references exist any longer?
    Thanks
    Martin

    Hello Sandip,
can you also tell me from where SAP gets the information that the scheme is still used in old inspection plans/lots? The reference itself over the procedure is not there any longer...so there has to be a different place where this information is still present, right?
Digging a bit in the ABAP coding, I could only find the place where the indicator is set(MQDSVF10):
    FORM BUCHEN_QDSV_STPRPLAN_VW_KZ.
    * QDPK nachlesen.
      CALL FUNCTION 'QDTA_QDPK_READ'
           EXPORTING  I_STPRPLAN = QDSV-STPRPLAN
           IMPORTING  E_QDPK     = QDPK
           EXCEPTIONS NOT_FOUND  = 1.
    *      Fehlerbehandlung
           IF SY-SUBRC EQ 1.
             MESSAGE E224 WITH QDSV-STPRPLAN.
           ENDIF.
    * Verbuchung des Kennzeichens anstossen, wenn nocht nicht gesetzt.
      IF QDPK-KZVWPKSV IS INITIAL.
        MOVE KREUZ TO QDPK-KZVWPKSV.
CALL FUNCTION 'QDBU_QDPK_USAGE_IND_POST' IN UPDATE TASK
             EXPORTING I_QDPK = QDPK.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
And there is only a place where the usage indicator is deactivated, that is when you copy the sampling scheme in a new one (MQDSPF10).
--> So I rather wonder if SAP has really planned that the indicator is reset at all. I assume that it is rather a "one time used, indicator is checked for ever".

    Martin

  • Sampling scheme

    Gurus,
I have created a sampling scheme & assigned it in sampling procedure. When i record results if the sample size is 15 if i have
inspected only 12 & enter the value the system is giving an error msg,
    Diagnosis
You can directly confirm the number of nonconforming units or the system calculates the number of nonconforming units from the number of sample units beyond the tolerance range.
    System Response
The number of nonconforming units cannot be greater than the number of inspected test units.
    Procedure
    Check and correct your entry.
What should be done to overcome this bcoz in real time all the sample might not be inspected

Are you sure you had the numbers in the right colums?  I've found that people easily confuse and put the wrong values in the colums "No. inspected" and "No. defects".
Also, what was the scope you set for your characteristics?
If you had fixed scope on the characteristics, the system is expecting 15 results and will throw errors if you don't record 15.
From your error message however, it looks like you have attempted to record a higher number of defective units then what was inspected.  So if you make 1000 widgets and in QM you are inspecting 15, you can't record more then 15 defective units. If you inspect more then 15, then you have to change the number of inspected units to the actual number of units you actually inspected.  Then you can confirm up to that many defective units.

  • All Oracle Sample Schemas and all Oracle Built-in Packages in XE?

    Hi,
I am trying to install Oracle 10g on my home system to improve my knowledge of PL/SQL. Because I'm doing it at home, I have to solve DBA issues I'm somewhat clueless about.
I would like to install Oracle 10g Express Edition and include the built-in packages (DBMS_OUTPUT, UTL_FILE, DBMS_UTILITY, DBMS_JOB, DBMS_JAVA, DBMS_RANDOM, etc.) as well as the Oracle sample schemas (HR, OE, PM, SH, and IX). None of these, except HR, is included in the express edition.
If necessary, I'd like to be able to install these things after installing the express edition. How can I do this?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
checking the documentation is always helpful:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/xe102/homepage
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25329_01/doc/appdev.102/b25108/xedev_programs.htm#i2432
You can always do a quick search on the documentation homepage, e.g. for utl_file:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/xe102/search?remark=advanced_search&word=utl_file&format=ranked&book=&preference=
There shouldn't be a need to install any packages. They should come preinstalled already.
If not, you can find them here:
    C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\RDBMS\ADMIN
Just be very careful before trying to install something into the data dictionary. If you are not experienced, you might mess up your database.
For example, utl_file is installed but invisible to most users, e.g. HR.
    Look at this example:
    SQL> conn hr/oracle1
    Connect durchgef³hrt.
    SQL> desc utl_file;
    ERROR:
ORA-04043: Objekt "SYS"."UTL_FILE" ist nicht vorhanden
    SQL> conn sys@XE as sysdba
    Kennwort eingeben:
    Connect durchgef³hrt.
    SQL> desc utl_file;
    PROCEDURE FCLOSE
    Argument Name                  Typ                     In/Out Defaultwert?
    FILE                           RECORD                  IN/OUT
       ID                           BINARY_INTEGER          IN/OUT
       DATATYPE                     BINARY_INTEGER          IN/OUT
       BYTE_MODE                    BOOLEAN                 IN/OUT
    PROCEDURE FCLOSE_ALL
    SQL> grant execute  on utl_file to HR;
    Benutzerzugriff (Grant) wurde erteilt.
    SQL> conn hr/oracle1
    Connect durchgef³hrt.
    SQL> desc utl_file;
    PROCEDURE FCLOSE
    Argument Name                  Typ                     In/Out Defaultwert?
    FILE                           RECORD                  IN/OUT
       ID                           BINARY_INTEGER          IN/OUT
       DATATYPE                     BINARY_INTEGER          IN/OUT
       BYTE_MODE                    BOOLEAN                 IN/OUT
    PROCEDURE FCLOSE_ALL
    PROCEDURE FCOPY
...So, after granting execute privileges on utl_file to HR, the user HR can now access utl_file. No need to install it.
The default packages are installed in the schema SYS.
    Regards,
    ~Dietmar.

  • Unable to create sample schema using response file

Installed oracle 11g r1 on Linux server using response file (silent mode). I wanted to install the sample schema for testing so I updated the sample_schemas section in $ORACLE_HOME/assistants/dbca/templates/dbcreate.dbc

After the installation I noticed sample schemas HR, SH were not created.

Thank you,You can't install manually the sample schemas since they come in a "pluggable tablespace" Examples which is automatically appended to your database by DBCA. If you would miss choosing the option for the same, you would need to get them created through the Examples Media CD and follow the instructions given here.

  • WM-QM interface - Put away the inspection sample

    Dearm WM-QM experts
My question is: How can we automate the creation of a TR/TO from the sampling storage type to the final bin after entering a usage decision. The system creates a TR/TO to move the quality stock from storage type 902 to 917, but after UD the system doesn't create a TR/TO to move the stock from 917 to the final storage type/bin (say 001).
The below are the details and configs for the issue:
I have a materials that is flagged for inspection (say 100% sample).
I created the QM-WM interface control "Q" with storage type = 917, bin = "QUALITY" and sample handling = 1 using the following config menu path:
Logistics: Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Define Quality Management -> Define Inspection Sample Control
I assigned the above interface control "Q" to my warehouse with operation = E and stock category = Q using the following config menue path:
Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Define Quality Management -> Activate QM Interim Storage Type Search
When posting the GR (mvt = 101 and qty = 10 as an example), the system create a TR or a TO to move the stock from storage type 902 to 917 as Q (the entire 10 pieces are selected).
When entering a usage decision for the relevant inspection lot, the system creates a posting change notice (which I can automate to a TO) to remove the "Q" on the stock in storage type 917.
However, I need to move the quality sample (which is the entire 10 pc) from 917 to the final bin (in storage type 001). Strange is that the system doesn't propose any TR for that movement. Am I missing a config or that final TR/TO has to be created manually?

    Dear YorkD,
The PCN that was created from the approved UD contains 2 line items:
Line 1: move the stock with Q indicator from 917 to 922
Line 2: move the stock without the Q from 922 to 917
Eventually, this PCN will remove the Q indicator from the stock in 917 (which is correct as the UD was approved), but it will not propose a transfer of the stock to the final bin (depending on the setup of the material master and put away strategies).
So, unless I've missed something, the PCN doesn't help.
    Regards,
    Hani
