Quality Is terrible, Help?

The quality for my DVD's is terrible. I can not understand why.
My menus look pixelated and nasty.
My background are all 1024X 768, thinking maybe I should change that to 800X 600 but I don't really think it should matter.
I have about 3-4 minutes of video I managed to put into my DVD.
Also, How can I show pictures that cover the whole screen in the slideshow?
Currently I am set to Best Quality, Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. I created project in iMovie then exported it to MP4 and also MOV file at highest definition possible + I added it to iDVD and had a number issues about encoding errors regarding the mp4 file. MOV worked but the quality was terrible.....

I have a MacBook Pro using the Yosemite system upgrade.
I have updated iDVD and iMovie.
I even bought the iSkysoft app from the mac store and that was terrible too.

On both a MacBook Pro, an Acer laptop and my Mac Tower. I would love to think that it is a problem with the playback system, and that if I merely send the file off to the duplicator they won't have the same problem. Maybe that is the case...I don't know if I have a choice rather than sending it off to see. But it happens in the same spots, in the same way, on all three of the players so I'm a little reluctant to have faith.

Of course, but in the case there is no more 'original project.' It is gone like the wind, stolen along with his computer and backups.
I think I am stuck using one of two files as my master: a DVD he burned where I only see the stutter/vibration/jitter once, or the mpeg2 file where I see it three times. Hopefully, the duplication house can rip if off of one of them and not see the jitter. I know that in audio, my personal filed, you can do a lot to enhance already existing sound--EQ, compression, tape saturation emulation software, etc. I guess I'm hoping there is some kind of analog to the video world that address jitter after a source has been printed--if indeed the source has been printed to be jittery.

I would love to turn itunes sound off as you used to be able to do, but this I believe can't be done.

When the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) is connected by Ethernet, you will find an option in the AirPort Utility, labeled: Enable AirTunes over Ethernet on the Music pane. Just select this option to allow streaming iTunes via the AirPort's Ethernet port. You should also be able to disable the AX's wireless so that it shouldn't interfere with the nearby TC.

Color Laserjet 2600n print quality is terrible! Help!

I have had my 2600n for about two years now and I've never been able to get it to print like it should, the demo page is beautiful every time, but anything from my computer looks terrible, there are certain things I can tweak and they'll print pretty well but I'm constantly running into problems. I would blame it on the toner or the printer but like I said, the demo page looks amazing every time, so it has to be a computer thing. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I'm getting so frustrated and I feel like the only fix is spending $300-400 on a new printer which I'd hate to do because this printer should be fine! I have a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.9, I used to have a Windows 7 PC and I'm pretty sure it had the same problems.
If anyone has any ideas for me I will be forever grateful!

The Colour LaserJet 2600n printer is a host-based device, which means that:
It doesn't understand any of the traditional Page Description Languages (PCL5, PCL6, PostScript).
All of the major work of rendering is done on the host workstation.
What is sent to the printer is (a series of) encapsulated, compressed, raster images; the printer just unencapsulates and uncompresses these, and prints the resultant pixels.
Perhaps what is happening is that the Mac (which, as far as I'm aware) usually natively generates PostScript jobs, and these must be converted (by whatever the Mac equivalent of a printer driver is) to the required (proprietary) host-based format - such conversions sometimes introduce unwanted issues.
Having said that, if you also experienced the same problems with a Windows 7 workstation, then something else may be responsible for the poor quality.

HP Officejet Pro 8500A photo print quality is terrible

If I print using the default of plain paper, change the quality to high and actually use plain paper, the quality is acceptible. However, if I use photo paper, whether I change the paper setting to HP Photo Paper, Other Photo Papers, or leave it at plain paper, the quality is just terrible. The ink is splotchy, the resolution - for lack of a better term - is gummy. There is so much ink on the photo that it smears on my hands after sitting and drying for an hour. The paper product I'm using is from Costco. It's the Kirkland Professional Glossy Inkjet Photo Paper. It worked beautifully in our Canon inkjet printer when printing high quality and selecting glossy photo paper or photo paper pro as the paper type. What am I doing wrong? Or is this printer not designed to print on photo paper? Thanks.

The Officejet 8500 will print on photo paper, but you need photo paper designed for pigmented inks. It sounds like you are using photo paper designed for dye based inks. The Officejet 8500 uses pigmented inks which will not interact properly with the coatings on photo paper designed for dye based inks.

I chat 4 video quality is terrible!

Can someone please help!I just switched over from a pc to macbook mac ox 10.5.1 expecting great video quality with i chat or skype but instead had to deal with error 8 messages in i chat after all the headaches of opening ports in my router, the audio video is working but the video quality is very bad my own preview is clear and my boyfriend sees me clear,but the image I get of him is very pixellated. I've set the bandwidth to none and speed to 1.5 in quicktime, my average speedtest results are 6500 downloads and 400 uploads. connection doctor average is usually about 350-400 framerate 9 -10 for both local and his connection. We both using have tried connecting directly to the modem, however I still get poor image. He is also using a mac ox 10.5.1 i chat 4 same machine except for different graphic card I have a gma x3100 144 mb while he has the gma 940 4mb can this have something to do with it ?

Who is your ISP ?

Very large file 1.6 GB..sports program for school. lots of photos, template where media spots saved and dropped photos in..trying to get it to printer swho says its too large but when reduces size loses all quality...HELP??

Please help...large file my sons Athletic program. Had noto problem with Quality last year..this new printer said file is too large..too many layers, can I FLATTEN..He reduced size and photos look awful. It is 81 pages. Have to have complete before next friday!! Help anyone??

At that size it sounds like you have inserted lots of photos at too large a size and resolution.
Especially for a year book style project, first determine your image sizes and crop and fix the resolution to 300 dpi, then drag them into the publication. Pages does not use external references to files and rapidly grows to quite large size unless you trim and size your images before placement.

I am seriously confused... Take a loot at the photo. On the left is the viewer and on the right is the canvas.
I have filmed with an HD video (5D MKIII) yet why is it, when I edit this specific part of the video it goes so poor quality?
I have changed all the playback settings to full quality and HD. I even tried to export it and it came out poor quality as well!
Befire rendering it looked fine, yet when it has been rendered it looks terrible. When I view it for editing it also looks fine (as you can see) but in the canvas it looks terrible again.
Why is it doing this and is there a way to fix it?

That could be the problem... where it says 'Quicktime Video settings' that was set on H.264. I haven't converted my .mov files to ProRes no...
I'm guessing I'd need to convert them then import them and edit them all again then?

So I've got animated pngs. They're in symbols that aniamate.
When I go to Publish Settings and lower the JPG quality. (it's curretnly at 100% which is TRULY regret. I think I may be stuck here.. I should have left it at flashs default 80%)
The animated pngs glitch out. Some are invisible for ever, and some cycle back and forth. Visible, not visible, etc.etc.!
Help meeeee!

I think I may have to manually do each one. Manually adjust the static pngs. But what about the animated ones?

ThinkPad E440 Webcam poor display quality! Please Help

Hi all,
Anyone have the poor display quality webcam from ThinkPad E440?
This is the first timeI bought a Lenovo product: a ThinkPad E440 with i7 cpu few days ago (I am currently using ASUS UX31). Everything is great except that the webcam have extremely poor quality:
1. When I use the camera application, the photo is grainy with extremely poor resolution
2. The video chat at night not just very poor in resolution, it actually turn into Black & White at night, in the morning it have color but still extremely poor display quality. Attached photo is taken around evening, no color was detected, all in black and white......is that the normal quality from ThinkPad E440?
I have updated all my drivers again and again.
I am not sure if it is a defect or it is buid to be that poor? How can I troubleshoot before send for repair?

The webcam is intergrated camera HD720p
The video card is Intel(R) HD Graphic 4600

Are you checking in Lenovo communication setting? Have you checked with different application like skype?

Force Flash 10 games into low quality always. Help please.

I have an old computer and Flash always being set to "HIGH" everywhere is KILLING me.
I can't go on facebook myspace or pretty much anywhere without it taking ages to load. Once it loads i put everything to "Low" and it's fine...until it refreshes! and its back to high.
I also used to enjoy playing many flash based games. No longer can i play them due to everything being set to HIGH !
Ninja Warz for example, i love this game, but whenever i actually manage to load into a fight, i get stuck there for 15 minutes trying to load back to the home screen!
There HAS to exist some way, some script, some browser, some program that will AUTOMATICALLY make anything flash appear in LOW QUALITY by DEFAULT ???
Please, flash owns the internet, everything is run on flash. Default=HIGH is ruining my internet experience!

So i did, the only things regarding the function of "Flash quality=low" is one script, and posts dating back to 2004!!.
The script has worked for me, but ONLY for EMBEDDED Flash. Such as youtube videos and some advertisements. Those are set to low. It has helped tenfold with internet browsing. BUT the script does NOT work with pop-out flash games! such as newgrounds games or Facebook applications like farmville, ninja warz. etc.
Those are all still set to high, and yes if i set them to low they work just fine, but they reset themselves to high in under 5 minutes! one smooth battle in ninja warz is all i get until i have to go back to the home screen which sets everything back to high!

FCE QUALITY ISSUE PLEASE HELP

In FCE I logged and transferred hd footage. In the Viewer it is a clear image. However, in the Canvas and when exporting the image becomes blurry and choppy. I have not had this problem before and when exporting from IMovie the image is high quality too. Can anyone please help me understand how to fix this problem, as I am not to familiar with all the settings.

When my Mac doesn't cope with the Playback it ask me to turn of Unlimited RT
and I open following window
and Cheque - Safe RT instead and if problem persists
• lower Playback Video Quality - to Low
• so to Frame Rate
So that I can edit my material. Then when work done - I turn all back and try to keep my Mac happy by not haveing any background tasks running as Screen, Energy Savers etc. Just Mac OS and FinalCut - ONLY.

Looking for best DVD quality as possible - help please !!!

I have some footage ( 55min ) recorded on a Sony Z1 - HDV 1080 60i - 16:9 and edit on FCP. I exported the file on the same setting. Then sent to compressor to creat a DVD on DVD SP. I dont wanna let DVD SP encode the files, even because it will not accept files on HDV to autoring a SD DVD.
Whats the best settings I can get to produce the best quality dvd as possible.
What I did is use the DVD Best quality 90 min and raised the bit rate to its maximum - 7.7 or so. Is there a better way to do it or should I choose a different setting.
Hope I could make myself clear.

You need FCP 6 (FinalCut Studio2) ti use ProRes codec.
