Quality Management - Insp lot origin

I am using insp lot origin 89 for certain inspections. I want to split the inspection into two types.I want different number ranges for those inspection types.
Hence I think I should create new inspection lot origin by copying from '89' so that I can assign different number ranges to them.
But I don't find the way to create insp lot origin.
Pls advise.

Hi Greetings
As per standard SAP, you can not create a new Inspection type origin.
The inspection lot origins are predefined by SAP in Customizing for Inspection Lot Creation. You cannot define your own inspection lot origins.
Hence it not possible t assign different number ranges as you requested.

  • Quality Management - Insp lot with status CRTD CHDR SPRQ

I am not able to do usage decision for Insp lot with status CRTD CHDR SPRQ but I can do usage decision for status REL CALC SPRQ.
    Can anybody know why ?

    Hi
pl check the lot is assigned for inspectioon plan ore not.
got QA02 check in inspecion specification TAB.
If there is noe inspection plan (group)
you need to create a inspection plan, and then come to QA02
then you need clickon TAsk list/spec button in insp.specification tab.
    Pl check and try

  • When to use insp. lot origin 03?

    Hi,
I would like to set up QM for production and I am not sure whether I should use lot origin 03 with quality planning in the work plan or 04 with quality planning in insp. plan.
Up to know the quality planners are using insp. plan for certain inspections in production. Because we use a separate routing for each material in production the workload for the quality planners will rise up dramatically if I use lot origin 03.
Besides the integrated confirmations for operations, is there any feature for which I MUST use lot origin 03 and quality planning in work plans?

    Marcus,
03 inspection is the in-process inspection. As the name suggests this is used if you production process requires in-process inspection. The specifications of the material getting processed may have some inspection characteristics which you want to record/ monitor and control the further production flow based on these results. If this is not the case and you want to record the inspection results of the final product only then 04 is sufficeint.
S decide upon based on the above and choose if 03 is required.

  • Runtime error at maintain insp lot origins and assign inspection types

    Hi all,
When i want to assign a new inspection type to lot origin 05 i get a runtime error. I don't know what's happening, but i think that it is caused because the system cannot find a record. When i look in TQ31 and TQ33 i see a line with lot origin 05. In table TQ32 there is no line.
I can still maintain all other inspection lot origins. I removed the inspection type from 05 and want to add another one, but it's not possible anymore because of the error...
    Does anybody have an idea?

It sounds like you deleted the 05 insepction type that SAP delivers and had linked to origin 05
    You shouldn't do that.
SAP is very picky about having the 01 variant assigned.  You have deleted the 01 variant.
You can try to create it back maybe.  If it fails, my guess is you'll have to have the basis team regenerate the TQ32 table from the 000 client.  Then you'll have to redo any entries you need, like any custom inspection types.

  • Inspection lot origin don't work in COA

    Hello All,
I have created a COA Profile (QC01), Where in I have assign inspection type 89 in the field "Insp.lot origin" and "Inspection Type". Now as per the F1 help suggest I am expecting that system will not allow me to print COA for those lots don't belongs to inspection type 89, but surprisingly it allows to take print out for inspection lot origins for 01, 08 types also.
I am using the STD COA form "QM_QCERT_01"
    Taking print from QC21
Pls let me know what and/or where I am missing something!!!!!!!
    Regards,
    SAPier

    Dear,
SPRO > QM > Quality Certificates > Certificate Profile > Define Certificate Types
SPRO > QM > Quality Certificates > Output Determination > Define Condition Types for Output Determination
Standard is Form QM_QCERT_01 you will get it in SE71.
Logistics > Quality Management > Quality Certificate > Outgoing > Certificate Profile (QC01
    COA is printed in QC20.

  • Quality Management During Goods Receipt (Inspection Lot)

    Hi all,
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    REQUIREMENT
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
    I have a requirement that i need to write an interface program which will receive a file from external agency (manufacturer) and process goods receipt until inspection results. The following steps need to be taken care of;
    1) Create a equipment (Utilities - It is an unique identifier for each unit of the material).
    2) Do Goods Receipt for the PO with the equipment numbers created.
    3) Create Inspection Lot for the material document created during the GR for each equipment number.
    4) Execute Inspection Result.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    INFO NOW
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
Inspection lot can be created from MIGO directly by SPRO config and MM master data maintenance.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    DONE
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
    Called BAPI to create Equipment.
Called BAPI to create Goods Receipt.
Inspection Lot Settings to create lots during MIGO
    1) New Inspection Type Created as SG1 at SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection types. The maintenance is a copy of type 01.
    2) Assign Inspection Type to Lot Origin at SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types. SG1 is maintained against lot origin 01 with variant 01.
    3) Set Default values for SG1 at SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Define Default Values for Inspection Type with parameters same as for 01.
    4) In Material master for the record set the inspection setup in the quality management tab. put SG1 as active and preferred. Also set Post to insp Stock, Insp with task list, Auto Assign, Skips allowed, Serial Numbers poss, Control Insp lot as For each Material Doc Item.
I have to kow how to select the Inspection Plan for the lot and thus set the status of lot to released and get it ready for results.
I also have BAPI ready for Inspection Result.

    TESTING
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
I have tested it and was working fine till last thursday. I have the above mentioned settings even now in the system. Can there be anything else which the functional consultants would have change that affected the process. Anyways now the inspection lot is not getting created for the Inspection during MIGO and I am really struggling to find the exact reason.
For your info, I am working mostly on Utilities and so do not have much idea about the quality management stuff.

  • How to differentiate the insp lots with same lot origin

    Hi,
    My client is
    1. Procuring a  Finished good directly ( same way as Raw material is being procured ) & then sale it.
    2. In another scinarion the same material may be produced at Vendor's end ( Sub contracting )
    3. In another scinario this is in house produced material.
Now the requirement is seperate tracking / list for each case.
Inspection type 04 can be activated to address the 3'rd case.
But how to segregate 1'st & 2'nd case from each other ???
I have created one new inspection type Z01 for lot origin 01. Similarly insp type 01 is also activated.
If Z01 insp type is marked as preferred insp type, then system always consider this insp type.
How to differentiate inspection type Z01 & 01  at incoming inspection stage ????
    regards,

    Dear Gajesh / Roderick
Thanks for reply & Sorry for the delayed reply from my side.
Gajesh as per your suggestion i used the break point in user exit QAAT0001 & after that i have executed PO & MIGO transaction, But after executiing it did not stop at a particular break point.
AM i doing some thing wrong???? or any alternate solution is there??
Roderick,  i have explored the status profile but found to be use fulll for changing stage one time only.  i.e. between 0101 to 01. But here i want to choose the inspection type base on PO type.
    Kindly suggest further action.
    Once abain thanks.

  • Connection between Inspection lot Origin & UD code

    Hi Friends
This is a QM issue .
When We maintain UD code in SPRO  Quality Management --Maintain Catalogs it is generally for combination of plant & the code
But a code which I had maintained for a Plant is not appearing for Inspection lot origin 89 (AD-Hoc)
Is there a connection between Inspection Lot Origin & UD code ??
    Thanks
    Arindam

    Dear,
To get the UD code folow the steps as below
QS41 - Edit - create catalog group and code (catalog type = 3)
QS51 - Edit - Create selected set - here we are linking plant and catalog group/code created above
Here give the valuation correctly with follow-up action
    In SPRO - Quality Management>Quality Planning>Quality Inspection>Inspection Lot Creation>Maintain Inspection Types
for a insp type for which you want the above code to be appeared, in the Inspection lot processing UD selected set file give the above selected set group, so that the selected set group will appear when you go for UD
    Coem back if required

  • How to create inprocess insp. lot manually

    HI Team,
I have requirement to create inprocess inspection lot  as & when  required. What are the settings required to do in QM view insp. type.
I have tried with "Preferred inspection type" set up, but no inspection lot is allowed to create manually in QA01.
Then I tried with 03 insp. type "Active". But it generated lot for every production order during release of order.
But my requirement is to create lot during  inprocess production only when it is rejected.
    Pls suggest me solution.
    Thanks

    Hello Bhushan ,
You can create a insp lot with 03 origin by putting plant & insp origin in QA01 initial screen ....but I will suggest to use inspection origin 89 with relevant setting as per business requirement as you want to create the lots only when material  is rejected .
Else you can maintain one more insp type say,0301 with insp origin 03. This will help in classifying the inspection lots  which are created for this process & not standard in-process inspection,
Can you please explain the business scenerio which demands to create lots only incase of rejections .....as to ascertain whether the product is inline with quality standards we need to inspection the same (which requires inspection lot  for lab processing & tracebility)
    Thanks
    Kaushik

  • Regarding quality management

anybody knows what are the t codes ad other businees process whiledealing with Quality Management in case on integration with Material Management

    hi,
    1) Maintain Material with Classification and Quality Management view
    2) Tick the Check box Quality key Active in QM View->QM view->Inspection Set up and activate the inspection type for which the inspection lot.(e.g insp. type 01 - GR against PO)
    3) Create Quality Info Record(QI01)
    4) In PO the stock automatically goes to Quality stock.
    5) Check MMBE stock
    6) Do Result Recording and Usage Decision(QA32)
    7) Check stock (MMBE).
There are few steps where the PP/QM Consultant need to help you in QI01,QA32 and in Creating characteristics and class according to Requirement(purity...etc).

  • Insp. lot creation

    Dear all
I have assigned insp type 06 (returns from customer) on a material.but when i make a return delivery after reapir request,No inspection lot generated.
Why insp. lot is not generated.I have already checked the following things
i- insp. type 06 is active in mat. master QM view.

No.  Inspection lots 06 and 05 will both generate automatically.  You don't have to use QA01 for the 06.
Check configuration - Inspection in SD.
    QM>Quality inspection>Inspection Lot creation-->Inspection at shipping
In here select "Assign Inspection lot Origin  to Delivery Type"
Find the delivery type "LR" returns delivery.  Enter in 05 or 06 depending on what your preference is.  The primary difference is that 06 lots are not stock relevant while 05's are.  If you've created custom delivery types for returns you'll need to set those up too.
    Above info from 6.0 system.

  • Automatic Inspection lot not generated for Inspection lot origin 12

    Hi all,
I am not able to trigger the automatic Inspection lot for General Delivery i.e Inspection lot origin 12.
The scenario is, I am creating the STO ( Inter company stock transfer) and against the same STO i am creating the delivery but after delivery inspection lot is not generated. In the material master correct inspection type is maintained also the mvt type 641 is active for QM. The inspection lot origin is assigned to the delivery type in the configuration but still i am not able to generate the inspection lot.
Please let me know i am missing something?
    Regards

    Hi,
    You are missing 1 Config
    Quality Management
Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Processing > Inspection Lot Creation > Inspection at Shipping (Tcode OQL8)
mantain inspection origen agenist Delivery type u are using.
also you need to create Sales Info record(QV51)
I hope all other settings are OK then it should work

  • Stock Transfer to quality without Inspection lot creation

    Hi,
I want to do stock transfer from unrestricted stock of Plant A to quality stock of Plant B. However I don't want inspection lot to be created.
    Is this possible?
I am using Movement type 301 and Inspection Lot of type 08 is active in Material Master.
If I deactivate QM for movement type, can I post to quality without inspection lot creation.
    Thanks

Do you have any inspection type setup for material in plant B? If yes then you would be not able to transfer stock in QI without creating an inspection lot. If inspection type is active in material master of plant B(destination) then system would through you error message saying - "transfer stock in QM only". The reason is you would not have an option to move stock from QI using 321 (QI to UNR) in plant B if QM is active. 321 managed by an insp lot.
If inspection type is not setup in material master at plant B then you would be able to post stock in QI without creating an inspection lot. Then move stock from QI to UNR using 321 (MB1B).
    Hope this clarify you.

  • Creating new inspection lot origin via SPRO

I would like to know how to create new inspection lot origin via SPRO.
I tried going via SPRO->Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection types , but could not find the way.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You should 1st create/define the inspection types in OQL1 for your needs then you should assign them to locations.
Have you defined your inspection types?
