  • Dynamic Modification Rule In Quality Module

    Dear All
Please explain me in detail how to use Dynamic Modification Rule (At Lot Level) In quality Module.
    Thanks & Regards
    Rahul Bhardwaj

    Hi,
    Dynamic Modification Rule
    Definition
The basic data record contains the definition of the inspection stages, the dynamic modification time (at lot creation or after the usage decision has been made), and the conditions for the inspection stage change. Inspection stage changes occur on the basis of the inspection results that are recorded for inspection lots and inspection characteristics (that is, on the basis of their acceptance or rejection).
    Use
You can vary the inspection scope using dynamic modification rules. You can store a dynamic modification rule in one of the following places:
In the inspection plan at the header level
In the inspection plan at the characteristic level
In the inspection setup of the material master record at the inspection type level
    Structure
A dynamic modification rule contains the definition of the inspection stages, the dynamic modification time, and the conditions that lead to an inspection stage change.
There are always two options that apply to the conditions for an inspection stage change: An acceptance (OK) and rejection (not OK). The system uses these conditions to update the quality level, which always reflects the current status.
The functions for maintaining and displaying dynamic modification rules are primarily contained on three screens:
On the initial screen, you enter the identifier for the dynamic modification rule.
On the header data screen, you maintain a short text and the blocking indicator, and define the time of dynamic modification (at lot creation or when the usage decision is made) and the reset period.
The reset period defines the period of time, which must elapse before the quality level again uses the initial inspection stage specified in the dynamic modification rule as the current inspection stage.
On the inspection stages screen, you edit the inspection stage data (inspection severity, skip, initial inspection stage, and short text). You create the rules for the inspection stage change on this screen.
In QM, the inspection stage describes a test or inspection status that is based on the inspection history and predefined rules. Different inspection stages mean that there are also different inspection scopes and/or inspection severities.
    Creating a Dynamic Modification Rule
1.Choose Logistics ® Quality management ® Quality planning ® Basic data ® Sample ® Dynamic modification rule ® Create.
2.Enter the identifier for the dynamic modification rule on the initial screen or choose Copy to use an existing dynamic modification rule as a copy model.
3.Choose Dynamic modification rule to carry out the following activities on the header data screen:
Edit the short text for the dynamic modification rule.
Define the time of dynamic modification (at lot creation or usage decision).
    Define the reset period.
Set the blocking indicator if you want to prevent the dynamic modification rule from being used in an inspection plan.
4.Choose Next screen to carry out the following activities on the inspection stages screen:
    Define inspection stages.
Define inspection severities for individual inspection stages.
    Identify skips.
    Identify the initial inspection stage.
Maintain short texts for the inspection stages.
5.Choose Stage change to carry out the following activities on the screen for creating the inspection stage change:
Define the specifications for a stage change for an acceptance (OK)
Define the specifications for a stage change for a rejection (Not OK)
6.Choose Next screen to return to the inspection stages screen and save your entries.
When you save the data, the system prompts you for a confirmation. If you want to include the dynamic modification rule in the allowed relationships for sampling procedures and dynamic modification rules (this is only necessary if a sampling procedure is used in a sampling scheme), you can switch directly to the assignment transaction by confirming this prompt. You define the assignment of sampling procedures and dynamic modification rules in this screen.
If you do not confirm the prompt, the system returns directly to the initial screen and confirms that it has created the dynamic modification rule.
    Hope this helps.
    Award points if useful.
    Regards,
    Tejas

  • Is there any seeded graphical report available in OPM quality module.

    Dear All,
I have two queries in OPM quality module.
1.Is there any seeded graphical report available in OPM quality module?
2.Is there anything like Collection plans of collecting multiple elements and doing an analysis based on the Collected elements in OPM quality?
We need to map these two requirements for a OPM customer.
    please send your comments.
    Thanks
    Suresh

    Dear Aditya
To my knowledge, there is no such report and need to go for Customization. Hopefully what you asked is simple report which is possible to customize.

  • Oracle Quality Module - Collection Plan name

The collection Plan name field in Orcale quality module - collection plan form (QLTPLMDF) does not accept special characters. Why is this so and what is the rationale behind this?
Here is the wording from Oracle Quality user Manual
Collection plan names can include alphanumeric characters and spaces. Collection
plan names can have up to 30 characters, and the first 25 characters must be
distinctive. The only special characters that can be included in a collection plan name
are the underscore (_) and the single quotation mark (’). any special
I am working with a customer who wants to use decimals (Example: 35.24.101) so that search will be easier. Some screens does not allow searching by description so need to have these in the collection name/code
Any solution you can think of?
    Thanks

    Hi,
When you create the collection Plan , actually you are creating the name of the table with required column names as collection elements in the data base.
This is the reason you are not allowed to do so as per your query.
    thanks,
    Raja

  • QM Quality  Module - error in transfer insp to blocked via move type 350

QM Notification - Additional Functions in Action bar  - error in Insp to blocked (movement type 350)
We are trying to implement the movement of goods from inspection to
blocked stock through QM. We have added an item to the action bar and
    are using movement type 350.
We have implemented several inventory transactions via the action  bar in Quality notifications.  All the transactions work except  this one.  We get the message "Must change Inspection Quantity  in QM system".  This is Movement type 350.  The Inspection to  Free (Movement type 321) works fine, as do Blocked to Inspection  (type 349) and Free to Inspection (320).
Has anyone encountered and resolved this?

    Dear LudovicBento
You cannot run this FM as QM stock can be  moved only by QA11 tcode. You may try to create a BDC to post the material
    from Quality

  • Quality Module-Transfer posting

    Hi,
Why it is not able to post the 321 mvmt in MB1B.
If we want to manualy post the stock to unrestricted through mb1b an error of <b>change inspection of stock in QM only</b> appears.
Please provide me a solution to manually post the 321 mvmt in MB1B.
    Thanks &Regards,
    Vidhya.
    <b></b>

    Dear Vidhya,
As QM is active for the material,it does not allow to do the transfer posting
    through MB1B T code & 321 movement.
In certain cases this is permitted.
For a material X QM is not active, but in Work scheduling view, you have included
the setting for Post to Inspection stock. This material after the production booking
goes to quality inspection stock, this can be cleared by MB1B T code using 321
    movement.
<b>If helpful reward points and if solved please close this
    thread as answered.</b>
    Dear Vidhya,
Please update regarding the same.If satisfied reward
    points and close this thread.
    Please check & confirm.

  • Is there APIs for Oracle Quality Module - Collection Plan, Specifications ?

We are converting Collection Plan, Specifications etc and was wondering whether there exists API?
    Thanks

I have found packages to create Collection Plans (QA_PLANS_PUB) and Specifications (QA_SPECS_PUB). Both allow you to add elements to the Plan or Spec.
However, both assume that the Collection Element already exists so that it can be added to the Plan or Spec. And I can't find an API or package to create the Collection Elements. Does such a package exist?

    Hi Guys,
Im new in data quality module, need some help, how to upload or update Data Quality Licenses? can anyone here give a blow by blow procedure?

  • Question on CKM and Data Quality

As I understand, CKM only supports the check based on db constraints. If I want to have more complicated business logic built to the checking, does Data Quality sound like a good choice. Or other suggestions?
In my case, I will need to check the data in the source table based on the table data from different sources (both target and source tables). This should be doable through data quality, correct? I am new to ODI. When I first installed the ODI, I didn't choose to install data quality module. I suppose I can install DQ separately and link it back to ODI? Do they share the same master repository?
Sorry for the naive questions, you help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    My idea is just like:
    for instance a FK validation:
create function F$_validate_FK (value1 number) return number
    as
    v_return number;
    begin
    select my_fk into v_return from any_table where column_fk = value1 ;
    return v_return ;
    exception
    When NO_DATA_FOUND then
    return -1;
    end;
And at constraint you will have:
    -1 = (select F$_validate(table1.column_to_be_validated) from dual)
Any record that have -1 as return will be not valide for the flow.
The F$ function can be created in a ODI procedure before the interface and dropped at end if you think to be necessary.
    Make any sense?
(Maybe there are several syntax error in this example, I just write it and did not compilate, just to show the idea)

  • RESULTS RECORDING WITH FREE TEXT IN QUALITY MANAGEMENT

    Hi,
How can I give free text of 300 chars In results recording? For a process order with batch number & recipe, (in which master inspection characteristics are mentioned which are linked to general characteristics.)
I created characteristics (type CHAR)(which can be used as free text in results recording ) I have created class, assigned chars to class & finally to material. Also assigned MIC to this class chars.
When I do results recording I need to have these characteristics to be display as free text of 30character width. But since I have to give selected set for this general chars.(which is the system requirement) I have given  selected set while creation of characteristics.
Due to this I can only select the codes from the selected set. Is there any process in which I can write free text up to 30 cars during results recording in quality module? & those characteristics I want to assign to MIC so that when process order is executed the first operation of quality can be done for RR.
    With Regards,
    Kareena

    Hi Kareena,
All of first let me make it clear, if you will assign a Class Characteristic to the MIC, then it will become either Qualitative or QNT.
    Now toeards your questions solution.
    Option:-1
As suggested by Venkatr, make the control indicator "Docu. Req" in the MIC control indicator set, page:-2. for the line item of MIC in the insepction plan.
So, the system will prompt you a message to insert a text as described by Venkat, where you can enter the Long text also (Check the button available in the lower part of that small window)
    Option:-2
Create a document type for this purpose, and assign a file, having 300 char. to the MIC, with the help of the "Object Link" function of SAP, avaialble with RR screen also.

    Shyamal

  • Purchase price variance based on Receiving QUALITY

    Problem Statement:
The client have a requirement that when he places an Order to the vendor for a certain commodity, he agrees to a certain level of Quality Parameters and an agreed Rate based on these parameters.
    Example:
$100/Kgs on a condition that the physical inspection Quality Parameters are met 100%.
$90/Kgs on a condition that the physical inspection Quality Parameters are met between 90% to 99%.
$80/Kgs on a condition that the physical inspection Quality Parameters are met between 70% to 89%.
When the Receiving is done against the PO, it was found that the Quality was not upto the standard and the result is only 90%. The Client has to pay for the received Quantity at the rate of $ 90/Kgs.
Q1. How this scenario can be handled in Oracle Purchasing, Inventory, Payables (without Quality module)?
Q2. What would be the Inventory Cost of the item $ 100 or $ 90?
Q3. What would be the Financial implications?
    Edited by: user1116442 on 07-May-2011 06:37

Q1. How this scenario can be handled in Oracle Purchasing, Inventory, Payables (without Quality module)?
I don't think there is any seeded way to handle this. You may have to modify the PO price manually or generate credit/debit memos after the receipt.
Q2. What would be the Inventory Cost of the item $ 100 or $ 90?
If you use std. costing, your cost will remain constant. Any variations will generate PPV
If you use avg. costing, the receipts will keep updating the cost.
Q3. What would be the Financial implications?
The financial implications depend on your costing method. If you have std. costing, you will generate lot of PPV. And your inventory valuation will be done based on the std. cost.
If you use avg. costing, then you will be able to get inventory valuation at a cost which is weighted avg cost.
    Hope this helps,

  • Change stock from unresticted stock to quality inspection stock

    Hi,
I have a material with Qualtiy View.we have done G.R. & also made UD & now my material lying in unresticted Stock.but now i want to cancle the G.R..
What is the procedure to change stock from unresticted stock to quality inspection stock through quality module.

    Hi
user Exit QEVA0008  in SMOD you can check the documentation.
Module for Editing Customer Function Code
This user exit allows you to activate a function key in the menu for the
    usage decision.
You can freely define the description and function associated with this
    function key (+FC1).
You can use this feature, for example, to revoke (reset) the usage
    decision.
Refer to the documentation for function module EXIT_SAPMQEVA_008.
    Functionality
This function module is called if the freely defined function (+FC1) in the menu for the usage decision transactions is called up. A prerequisite for this is the activation of the user exit QEVA0008.
    Example
Using this function module, you can reset the usage decision in transactions QA12 ("Change usage decision with history") and QA14 ("Change usage decision without history").
Include LXQEVF10 contains sample coding for resetting the usage decision.
    Notes
Business transaction QM68 is available for this function in the standard system. You can display a where-used list for this transaction in transaction BS33 (Display transactions).
If business transaction QM68 was carried out successfully, the system sets the inspection lot status "UDRE" - usage decision reset (system status I0297). You can display a where-used list for this status in transaction BS23 (Display system statuses).
If you want to use the function to reset the usage decision, be sure to consider the following points:
If a vendor is released (status profile in the quality info record), an update is carried out only once; this means that if the usage decision is reset, the status in the supply relationship is not corrected.
If you make the usage decision again, the inspection results will also be transferred to the batch classification.
The quality level is updated only once (when you make the initial usage decision). If the usage decision is changed, the quality level is not updated.
    Regards
    Sujit

  • Blocking payment  for stock in quality

    Dear All,
We dont have quality  Module in our Project so  the  Material is not  quality  activated,  I  want to block the payment  when material in quality inspection,  and  release for payment should only happan when material is posted  from quality to unrestricted use, Please  suggest  what configuration  has to done,

Yes it is possible. In customising, you will have to setup QM active for mvmt type -103 under applicable scenarios(for PO normal stock type, others like Sub contract etc as applicable).
Set up the Material Master -QM view for the inspn type (default 01).
In default setting for MIGO Change mvmt type  for GR from 101 to 103 & adopt. Then do MIGO for the material.
System creates lot with stock in GR Blocked.Prior to UD, you can display in the inspection lot stock tab, the indicator GR to blocked stock. Also can confirm same in MMBE under GR blocked stock.
    Do QE01 & QA11 as per normal.
