Quality Results entry

Hi ,
I am working on 11.5.10.2 Quality Module.
We have Quality results entry form is available in Quality Module and at the same time we can enter quality results during PO receipt or WO completion.
If we enter quality results in quality module for a collection plan ( say for one Purchase order), will it update quality form while doing the receiving transactions.
Also I would like to know why Quality results entry form is given separetly.
Thanks in Advance
Regards
Ravi

Hi Babu,
1) PO receipt transactions will be doing by Receiver
2)Quality Inspector will enter quality results in Quality module
3)Again Receiver has to complete the receving and delivery transactions.
If we enter quality results in Quality module, will it reflect in Receiving transaction collection form?
Thanks
Ravi

  • Result Entry  in Quality QA32 - Simplification

In QA32 T-Code, We need to post the results automatically to all selected same items.
Is there any methodology for Multiple Selection of the Same ITEM and Entering the Results by one entry ?
Guide us for simplification of Results Entry & Usage Decision in QA32
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Actually, in QA32, Results can be Entered by selecting only one item.  But for the entry of multiple results for a selected item, user wants to select all relevant item and enter the results for closing purpose.
For this purpose, Our User requires multiple selection of items for entering the results.
Please give any methods to solve this.

  • Can someone please tell me a simple but effective method for burning a slideshow to DVD? Now that the connection between iPhoto and iDVD no longer exists, I can't figure out a way to get there with an acceptable quality result.

Can someone please tell me a simple but effective method for burning a slideshow to DVD? Now that the connection between iPhoto and iDVD no longer exists, I can't figure out a way to get there with an acceptable quality result.

Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar.  Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com.  Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides  themes from iDVD 5-7.  The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:
This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:
You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.

  • Low quality DVD outcome.. need help for high quality result ASAP!

    Hi every 1,
(This is my first post, as I only got my iMac 2 weeks ago.. so please be gentle with me :P   )
I have just been asked to turn a Microsoft powerpoint (PPT) into a DVD for "induction training video" purposes with voice overs and backing music. I have a professional music studio so providing high quality audio is fine, but trying to turn the power point into a high quality DVD file is my problem. This powerpoint has timing transitions (fade ins etc) for the timing of voice gaps. When using Microsoft PPT, you can turn the PPT into a Quicktime file which I was going to drop into iMoive then add the music and voiceovers.. this is when my problems started. Microsofts powerpoint doesn't add the transtiions and effect into render Quicktime movie, so I thought as my new iMac has iWork (KEYNOTE) I'd give it a try and to my surprise it all worked and the final mpeg4 quicktime movie result work great _when you look at it on the MAC_.
    1) Problem
I then exported the file into iMovie and then my first Problem arose.... (grr). I movie lost it's sharpness and the images started to have pixelation.. that seemed to pulse in 1 seconds gaps.
I hope this was just an issue with the iMovie preview window and thought once I put it into iDVD and burnt it... the final result may be fine.. but I was wrong and the quality was crap... with the pixelation still there.
    2) Problem
The other problem that came up was the about 25% of the edge of the total screen was cutoff. When i did the original file, I choose 4:3 ratio, and watched it on this..so where did the image size go wrong.. I also choose the "high quality" Quicktime file, but didn't go into the settings in the iMovie in the export section (which I should off), but after check the compression type was H.264.. and I also didn't change any settings in the 'export file' section in KEYNOTE.. this is where I think I must have gone wrong..
So in closing. my questions is:
-What's the best way to turn a PPT into a _high quality file_ so it looks professional once it goes through iMovie and iDVD.. or
    - Should I just redo the whole production using iMovie ( by re doing all the work eg wording, transistion inside iMovie seems like a lot of extra word ) and so not use the PPT at all... and if I do this, then
    - What's sizes, and ratio and compressions should I use for 4:3 ratio TV purpose (eg. whats size should a background image be that I do inside Photoshop, so I can put the transition wording over the top, so I see it on the TV screen and the edge doesn't get cutoff etc.?
I was very impressed with Keynote and would be happy to use this for most of the production.. but am I banging my head againist a wall...re fixing quality problems when exporting files into... can someone shed some light on this for me?
Sorry this is such a big post.. but I thought if I gave you most of the background you would have to ask so many questions.
Look forward to any help any 1 can provide..
    Michael

    Matti,
Thx so much for your help.. it's really appreciated. This is by far the best result quality wise, (but I really am a perfectionist and personally are still not overall happy with the final product) but if my client is happy.. then I will continue down this track for this job.
    ie Create TIFF;'s>Quicktime PRO>iMovie (transistions)>iDvd
You've been a great help and I hope it good enough for the client.
I find the images and wording lose their sharpness only after being imported into iMoive. I could still be probably enhance the quality level of the TIFF's once more, as I did the test slides in Keynote, then exported the 5 slides a individual as TIFFS out of Keynote, then imported the into QuickTime Pro as you suggested then followed your instructions all the way to the final burning of the CD. I also tried doing this in Photoshop using your suggestion of 720x576 images (for PAL) .. pixel aspect ratio to ~1.094 so you can see the correct proportions for 4:3 video output. When creating the new slide in Photoshop there were a few extra settings other than the ones you gave me... _so I would real appreciate what every setting should be when creating the NEW TIFF file in Photoshop for PAL 4:3._ I noticed when I did this the image crispness on the fonts was shithouse pixelated and shadows, even while looking at it from inside Photoshop )
As I tried mutliple ways of importing into iMovie (yours being the best suggestion) I really believe when dragging a TIFF or movie turns to blur on the way into iMoive. You can see the image is blurred from that point on.... _do I need to buy final cut pro or express to get a better image quality result?_
I also tried iMoive7, which I found was great to use video editing wise, but Apples has definitely stuffed up there by not give users a 'time line' to work with in the Audio section... but everything else in the video area was great to use.., but in my situation trying to line up the narration to slide, while having also background music is now impossible sadly.
Also I really like the 3D transitions in KEYNOTE, plus iMovie 7.. do you know if there are available for HD6 or if there's a 3rd party company that has smilar versions
    Thx again,

  • Query find no records in Enter Quality Results Form (QLTRSMDF)

    Hi,experts
When execute query (F11/ctrl F11) in Enter Quality Results Form (QLTRSMDF) for a particular plan, say I want to query all results in that plan,it found nothing.
In system block/last query, found that it uses occurrence and collection_id which is newly created.
And compare with the SQL used in Update Quality Results Form, there are different conditions used, say org_id is used in the Update form.
Is it okay to query results in Enter Quality Results Form (QLTRSMDF) of a plan?
or it is designed to use the Update form to query and update?
    Thanks in advance!
    Morris

No you have to use the View Quality Results Form (QLTRSINF) to see already entered collection results. The enter form is only to enter new collection results.

  • How to send ProRes FCP footage to iDVD and get a quality result

    Hello,
I am editing on FCP5, for which I used a USB to transfer my ProRes footage. I want to use one of the themes in iDVD as a menu page for my final project, and understand that to do this I will have to export my FCP footage via QuickTime. I am worried about compromising the quality of my footage by doing this. My question is how can I then burn my final product, including the DVD menu, to disk and get the best quality result from my footage.
    Thank you!

Have a feeling it's MPEG2. I've already spent time this week rendering another part of the movie using my old editing package (Pinnacle) and saving it as a .mov file to USB and it works on FCP without a hitch- Thankfully! I'm just gutted because I know MPEG is nowhere near as good quality as ProRes but I really don't know what else to do- This is literally my first week working on a Mac, let alone FCP!

  • Block Invoice verification as per quality result

    Hello,
I made GRN , lot gets generated. not cleared by quality.
still I can do the invoice verification.
Can I restrict this ? so i can not pass invoice before quality results and only ok quantity has to appear for invoice verification.
If such facility is available kindly advice.
    Regards,
    santosh joshi

    Dear Santhosh Joshi,
Check in IMG (Transaction SPRO) under :
Materials Management -> Logistics Invoice Verification -> Invoice Block
You can implement a proper BAdi/Enhancement if you cannot configure your scenario:
    BAdi:
BAdI MRM_RELEASE_CHECK for additional checks before invoices are released, in other words, you can restrict the list of invoices to be released by defining your own criteria.
The following SAP enhancements are available for maintaining the customer exits in Invoice Verification:
    MM08R001        ERS (conventional Invoice Verification)
    MM08R002        Tolerance checks
    MRMH0001        ERS (Logistics Invoice Verification)
MRMH0002        EDI invoice receipt (Logistics Invoice Verification)
    MRMH0003        Revaluation (Logistics Invoice Verification)
When processing an invoice, the R/3 System checks each item for variances between the invoice and the purchase order or goods receipt. The different types of variances are defined in tolerance keys.
The system uses the following tolerance keys to check for variances:
AN: Amount for item without order reference
If you activate the item amount check, the system checks every line item in an invoice with no order reference against the absolute upper limit defnied.
AP: Amount for item with order reference
If you activate the item amount check, the system checks specific line items in an invoice with order reference against the absolute upper limit defined. Which invoice items are checked depends on how you configure the item amount check.
    BD: Form small differences automatically
The system checks the balance of the invoice against the absolute upper limit defined. If the upper limit is not exceeded, the system automatically creates a posting line called Expense/Income from Small Differences, making the balance zero and allowing the system to post the document.
BR: Percentage OPUn variance (IR before GR)
The system calculates the percentage variance between the following ratios: quantity invoiced in order price quantity units : quantity invoiced in order units and quantity ordered in order price quantity units : quantity ordered in order units. The system compares the variance with the upper and lower percentage tolerance limits.
BW: Percentage OPUn variance (GR before IR)
The system calculates the percentage variance between the following ratios: quantity invoiced in order price quantity units: quantity invoiced in order units and goods receipt quantity in order price quantity units : goods receipt quantity in order units. The system compares the variance with the upper and lower percentage limits defnied.
    DQ: Exceed amount: quantity variance
If a goods receipt has been defined for an order item and a goods receipt has already been posted, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced - (total quantity delivered - total quantity invoiced)).
If no goods receipt has been defined, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced - (quantity ordered - total quantity invoiced)).
The system compares the outcome with the absolute upper and lower limits defined.
This allows relatively high quantity variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small quantity variances for invoice items for larger amoutns.
You can also configure percentage limits for the quantity variance check. In this case, the system calculates the percentage variance from the expected quantity, irrespective of the order price, and compares the outcome with the percentage limits configured.
The system also carries out a quantity variance check for planned delivery costs.
DW: Quantity variance when GR quantity = zero
If a goods receipt is defined for an order item but none has as yet been posted, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced + total quantity invoiced so far).
The system then compares the outcome with the absolute upper tolerance limit defined.
If you have not maintained tolerance key DW for your company code, the system blocks an invoice for which no goods receipt has been posted yet. If you want to prevent this block, then set the tolerance limits for your company code for tolerance key DW to Do not check.
    KW: Variance from condition value
The system calculates the amount by which each delivery costs item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * planned delivery costs/ planned quantity. It compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
LA: Amount of blanket purchase order
The system calculates the sum of the value invoiced so far for the order item and the value of the current invoice and compares it with the value limit of the purchase order. It then compares the difference with the upper percentage and absolute tolerances defined.
LD: Blanket purchase order time limit exceeded
The system determines the number of days by which the invoice is outside the planned time interval. If the posting date of the invoice is before the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the start of the validity period. If the posting date of the invoice is after the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the end of the validity period. The system compares the number of days with the with the absolute upper limit defined.
    PP: Price variance
The system determines by how much each invoice item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * order price. It then compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
When posting a subsequent debit/credit, the system first checks if a price check has been defined for subsequent debits/credits. If so, the system calculates the difference between (value of subsequent debit/credit + value invoiced so far) / quantity invoiced so far * quantity to be debited/credited and the product of the quantity to be debited/credited * order price and compares this with the upper
and lower tolerance limits (absolute limits and percentage limits).
ST: Date variance (value x days)
The system calculates for each item the product of amount * (scheduled delivery date - date invoice entered) and compares this product with the absolute upper limit defined. This allows relatively high schedule variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small schedule variances for invoice items for large amounts.
    VP: Moving average price variance
When a stock posting line is created as a result of an invoice item, the system calculates the new moving average price that results from the posting. It compares the percentage variance of the new moving average price to the old price using the percentage tolerance limits defined.
Hope this will resolve your issue.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Quality Results and Material Transactions

Can someone help me out with this requirement?
Customer needs to tie Material Transactions to a specific quality results. However, I cannot see how the these are related. I tried to use the txn_header_id from QA_RESULTS to tie to MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS. But there is no relationship between them.
How do I link the material transactions to quality results? Thanks in advance

It is definitely not txn_header_id as it used for parent child relationships in Quality. Can you try TRANSACTION_ID or MTI_TRANSACTION_HEADER_ID.

  • Performance parameters of the meter reading result entry

    Hi Guys,
Can any one explain me about the below parameter in the meter reading result entry.
1."No Entry of Tech. MRs at Installation Outside Installation"
If we enable this option,it should not allow to enter the meter readings in the technical installation.
But it is accepting. How? can any one explain.
    2.Turbo booster also.

    Hi Oven,
I hope the following information is useful:
No Entry of Tech. MRs at Installation Outside Installation ->
As a rule, technical meter readings at installation are entered using the appropriate transactions (Full Installation, Technical Installation).
In addition, it is possible to enter meter readings for technical installation before the installation occurs. This is done by uploading meter readings using IDoc ISU_MR_UPLOAD or BAPI. In exceptional cases you can also enter meter readings manually using single entry. The meter reading is then included once technical installation has been executed.
If you select this field, it is not possible to import meter readings at installation via upload or single entry.
    Turbo Boosting->
    Activates Accelerated Processing
Transactions and background jobs of the meter reading result
entry create a high database load. Excessive accesses to the
database tables EABL, EABLG, V_EGER_H, ETDZ, EASTS and others
affect the system performance this improves performance......

  • Is it possible to get high quality result in FCE (Sony AVCHD camcorder)?

i have a Sony HDR-SR10 camcorder (AVCHD) and i import directly my footages in FCE. I export video using the Quicktime with H264, and then burn the result on a DVD using iDVD or Toast. With that method, i can obtain good quality in the STATIC images, but during the panoramic movements of the camera the final result (i mean a DVD on my cathodic TV) is disappointing, with a "jerky" rendering.
You can download on my iDisk an exemple of it at: http://public.me.com/leclercqpascal
When i compare with the same sequence treated on the PC Sony's software, i find in the latter case a perfectly smooth result.
The problem is the same when i import from the camera to iMovie 09.
Help welcome, because i would be disappointed to resort to a PC software!

You may want to post this question on Final Cut Express board where you might get better answer, but using H264 in the middle to export to DVD authoring seems to be the problem. Your video seems to be a 50i PAL format, which FCE or iMovie is capable of handling, but if you export to h264 which cannot handle interlaced video you'll end up with a 25p video and DVD won't show the smooth motion. Instead of h264 try using AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) for export and make DVD from it.

  • Burning "Full Quality" results in no sound

I've made a movie that is about 2.5 minutes long, it is basically pictures with a couple sound tracks and transitions thrown in. When I export it to Full Quality, the resulting .dv files plays fine from a hard drive, but if I try to put it in a burn folder and burn it to CD, the file from CD has sound for only the first 5 seconds or so.
This is true whether the CD is burned on my Mini or on my MacBook. However, when I exported it as a file for CD and burned it in the same session, to the same blank CD as the full quality version, the smaller file played fine.
    Any ideas?
    Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I suspect a playback problem, not a movie problem. The movie may be fine, but the DV movie is so large that it can't be played smoothly from a CD. QuickTime is choking when trying to play the DV movie from a CD.
Playback can be comprised by 1) the storage medium — playing from a CD is much harder than playing from a hard drive; 2) the demands of the movie — Full Quality is a large-data movie; and 3) the speed of the Mac processor.
Most likely the CD isn't delivering the data fast enough to play smoothly.
To test the movie itself, drag the movie from the CD back to the hard drive and play it from there. If the movie plays fine, that's the problem.
