  • Quality pending Stock transfer from plant to depot

    Hi all,
Is it possible to send the quality pending stocks from plant to the depot ?
Quality clearance for the finished goods in our process would take 2 days. So the client wants to do a stock transfer of this quality pending stock to the depot to save time. If the quality results are successful, the stocks in depot need to be changed to unrestricted status else these stocks need to be transferred back to the plant.

Ref Option 1 - Not sure why you think you need to enter results twice.  You enter the results for the ones you complete in the first day/hrs....whatever... make the UD.
You go in an enter the long term characteristics later.  There is no double entry.  You don't renter the earlier test results.
Ref Option 3 - You don't need QM in your depots.  The type 10 delivery inspection is created in the plant shipping the materials.
Ref Option 2 -  In option 2 you would have your regular inspection lot created.  But someone would go in and post the stock to unrestricted stock with restricted batch status.  Not sure what else you want me to elaborate on.   When results are completed, they can go on and make the UD to unrestricted stock, unrestricted batch status.  In the meantime the STO can be created, picked and shipped with the batch in restricited status.  In can be received and unloaded and is posted with restricted batch status.  When the UD is made and the batch status changed, the material at the depot will automatically show up in unrrestricted stock and be available for sale.  One caution.  The batch status affects the ENTIRE batch quantity. So if you for instance you use the same batch number for receiving qty's against the same or different orders, (for the same material), then you'll have multiple inspection lots.  Once one lot chagnes the batch status, it is changed for all the qtys on all lots.

  • Loss of image quality in file transfer

We shot an event live and have no problems broadcasting the recorded MPEG file from our Nexus. However, when I try to transfer the file into Premiere Pro or Encore to author a DVD the image is severely pixilated and the quality is unacceptable. The video was shot in Standard DV-NTSC . I have gone over my project and sequence settings a hundred times in PP and Encore. If I drop the MPEG file directly into Encore the image quality is a little better, but still not as good as what's on TV. We think it might be a codec issue. Any suggestions? Should I try this Gspot program?

Yes thank you lets focus on Encore. I am using CS4, and it is an MPEG-2 file if that makes a difference. I ran the file through Gspot and noticed there were like 20 something codecs that were listed as having a "problem"; mostly Ulead and MainConcept[Adobe2]. As far as preview, monitor, and test burn... it looks bad in all three.

  • Best quality settings for transfer from comp to itunes library

What settings should I use to have the best quality sound when transfering from my computer to itunes?

Do you mean from CD to iTunes? Because if the songs are already on your computer, they probably don't need to be converted again. If you do mean from CD to iTunes, the answer is "whatever sounds best to you." I'm not trying to be flip. It's just that there's a wide range of preference. It's going to be affected by where you listen and the background noise, your headphones, your speakers, how good your hearing is and so on. I generally recommend that you rip the same track in a number of different bit rates in both AAC and mp3 and see what sounds best to you and (if space is an issue) what provideds the best compromise between good sound and small file size. Personally, I use 192 aac VBR. Sounds good on my iPods and on my JBL Creature speakers. I don't have a stereo.

  • Media play-back quality on my macbook from my Android phone

    Hi all,
I really, really hope someone can help me here.
I have a brand new Samsung Note 3. The problem I'm having is the play-back quality when I transfer videos I've recorded from the phone on to my macbook pro.
The video just lags but the audio is fine. Infuriating.
Initially, the video play-back on the phone was an issue but I have sorted that out. I tried transfering the videos back on to the phone and the play back is fine. It's just via the macbook it isn't so.
I have tried playing the videos via Quicktime and VLC media player - both the same.
    Help! (please)

I've had good luck using Handbrake >  http://download.cnet.com/HandBrake/3000-2194_4-10808250.html

  • IMovie 11 loosing image quality in still pictures

I shoot RAW photos with a Nikon D300 and import everything to Aperture 3 where I organize, correct and adjust.
I use iMovie to make slide show sequences - i.e. my daughter's third year - and have found that though the image quality is perfect in Aperture and in any file that I export, there is a loss of quality when the images are brought into iMovie. It is especially apparent in areas that have shadows or are dark - like the skin on an arm that is in a shadow while the rest of the person is in the sun. The shadowed skin looks like it's been pixilated -rather than a uniform transition of colors, it's blotchy.
I have tried importing the photos from the media browser in iMovie, I have tried dragging them from Aperture, and I have tried exporting them from Aperture to a folder and then importing them from that folder into iMovie. The results are the same - loss of image quality especially in dark areas of the photos. It doesn't matter if I leave it as Fit, Crop or Ken Burns - it's as if the base image information has been degraded for some reason.
The image quality degradation is clearly evident in the viewer - so it's not a matter of what the intended output / export / share option is or will be.
I have also found that this happens if I take a video file like a *.m4v file and import it into iMovie - wicked loss of image quality.
I also find that if I shoot video with my iPhone 4, and then download that into Aperture, I get a nice and crisp movie in Aperture. But when I try and pull up that same video in iMovie 11, again there is a loss of quality. This is especially apparent if I let it do image stabilization as it enlarges the frame a bit. Given that I have a really big monitor I can pull up the same video in Aperture that was not stabilized and moved to the same scene and resize side by side for a direct comparison - clear image degradation in iMovie 11.
As with the photos for slide shows, the bright areas don't seem to be affected, or if they are it's not as apparent - it's as if some setting is trying to automatically adjust the black point. But I don't know what would do this or how to stop it. Can't find such a setting anywhere.
Given that the system is a Mac Pro 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xenon with 14GB and two 1TB drives it's not, or should not be an issue of the system being overtaxed.
Hope someone knows how to fix this.

  • Cross company stock trasfer for quality Stock

    Hello All,
Can we do a stock transfer for QA Stock in cross company code...If the answer is what are the config and changes need to be done?

    Hi
Standard SAP does not allow to transfer the stock from quality, you can transfer it from Unsrestricted only.
When you receive you can receive into Quality inspection stock.

  • HDMI  or USB transfer

Is there a difference in video quality when a transfer from a HD camera uses either an HDMI or USB link? I have always used firewire but the newer Canon HD cameras do not have this connection.

+Is there a difference in video quality when a transfer from a HD camera uses either an HDMI or USB link?+
If you capture live via HDMI then you may conceivably be able to capture a better quality signal from your camera by bypassing the in camera compression, however, if you are bringing in already compressed media from the camera then there is no quality benefit to be gained by capturing via HDMI vs transferring via USB.

  • Converting WMA library to MP3 when transfer to the iPOD

After long time I decided to transfer my 2000CD's to the iTunes on WMA format to loos not quality.
The transfer job is still not finish, but I have 1 Tera with music. Now I want to transfer all, or almost all this music to my iPod Classic 160G. Obviously I have to convert to MP3.
But I don't see how to do that without coping on the same iTunes library a duplicate of my songs on MP3. Do somebody knows how transfer my WMA iTunes music to the iPod converting on the way to MP3, and without making a MP3 duplicate on my HD?
    Thank you

Do somebody knows how transfer my WMA iTunes music
When you added the wma files to iTunes, iTunes has already converted them to whatever you have selected in iTunes prefs-> Advanced - Importing.
They are not in iTunes as a wma file.
You can set iTunes prefs-> Advanced - Importing to MP3.
The delete the files you have added from WMA.
Re-add the same WMA files and iTunes will convert them to MP3 as it adds them to iTunes.

  • Video Monitors

    Hey Folks,
Just wondering what most of you use for external video monitors. Just bought a Sony PVM 1954Q on ebay and was wondering if I did the right thing.... I know this has little to do with FCP specifically but this is the only forum I use...
    Thanks in advance!

"ALSO: I read somewhere that even if you have component, it is better to use composite because you see what most people will see, since most people have composite signal consumer equipment. Using component might lead you into doing things that the NTSC composite signal won't reproduce well. Would you all agree with this???"
Bunkus. You should use the highest quality method of transfer available. Anything else is just a load of uninformed crap. If you're going with that thinking, I might as well get rid of my Mackie 824s and Sony PVM19 in favor of a crappy 15" RCA television that the "majority" of people watching my stuff are going to see. You want it to look as clean as possible in every step of the way, and if you're down-grading it while monitoring, you're just missing things.

  • Automatic PO in case of Returns.

    Hi all,
Can we create an automatic PO in case of a Purchase Returns.for mov type 122 or 161
    Wht steps are tobe followed
    With Rgds,
    Vamsi.

    Hi,
there are two modes of Return process in Procurement Cycle.
1-If material return is seen at the time of actual usage(GR of that particular material is done long back),then make normal PO with a tick mark on "return" checkbox in the item data .make Gr against that PO which will generate 161 Movt. Type.then make credit memo.
2-if the material return is seen at the time of quality check then the quality guy will transfer the stock to "Blocked stock" at the time of GR.Now directly in the MIGO select "Return Delivery" w.r.t. GR Material doc generated. Now in this case 122 Movt will be generated. After that make credit Memo at MIRO
For the above two processes, also treat the corresponding Excise Values.
    Thanks & Regards,

if the stocks are available in quality inspection first transfer the stock from quality inspection to unrestricted through t.code qa32
