Hi experts
here in my quantity field there are units cm2(column centimeters) and WD(words)  if u caluculate total on qty naturally it will display * is any possibilty there in report level to disply cm2 total seperately and WD total seperately if so tetll me the solution.

anand

Hi Anand,
As you want the subtotals for the quantity and due to different units you are getting * values in the result, the suggested approach was to distinguish the records based on units. This can be achieved using restricted KF where we will restrict the KF on Unit. This will ensure that all the records with "for example KG" as unit will be restricted in one restricted KF. Same can be achieved for all other units.
This means you have to create 15 restricted KFs if you have 15 different units in the data. This will result in a bit slower response while executing the query with som many restricted KFs.
Hope this clears your doubt.

  • Quantity fields not getting displayed in the second total row

    Hi,
As per the requirement I have to display 2 total rows for an ALV report using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID. I am able to get the first total row properly using method get_subtotal(). However for the next total row only the character fields are getting displayed and the quantity fields are coming blank.
The second total row will have different values based on a formula.
Please help me out in resolving the issue.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

You can provide first row as the SUBTOTAL and next row as the TOTAL.
Get one extra column on which you can do the SUBTOTAL.

  • CJI3 report not displaying values correctly in the "Total Quantity" field

    Dear Friends,
Need your assistance on the issue explained below,
In our project there is a scenario where the actuals posted on a WBS are split/distributed to various WBS.These actuals that are split can be CATS entries, manual posting (KB21) or postings that come to R3 from a legacy system. The split happens by means of a custom program and is not standard. There is a tab seperated text file that contains the split percentages and the sender as well as the receiver WBS elements.Off late it has been observed that after the split is done the CJI3 report does not show the split quantities correctly and hence there is difference in the values displayed in the currency field. This is not a rounding off difference and is considerable. We have done all possible analysis from our side but i am unable to find how the difference occurs.
To add to this i have even come across certain notes which describe the issue closely but none of it has helped so far. I have simulated the scenario with the same settings in the Quality server and it seems to work fine there without any glitches. We have even compared the program in both the Quality as well as the Production servers and there is no difference in the program as well. The values for the total quantity field are stored in the table COVP and it has been observed the report is fetching this data to display in CJI3.
I have run CJEN too but this too does not correct the report. I was just wondering if any of our colleagues can provide me with some suggestions or insight in this issue.
    Regards,
    Gokul

    Hi Praveen,
    Thanks for the response.
Actually i did debug the program with the help of our technical guys but found nothing wrong in both the quality and the production system. We compared the program in both the systems and it seems to be same. I am exploring this issue. Will update the findings here.
In case anyone has any suggestion please do suggest.
    Regards,
    Gokul

  • Mapping of period with total quantity field

Please let me know if any solution.
    Regards,
    oorvi

    Hi,
    You could try like this,
parameter: p_period type (your period field).
    data: len type i,
             var type string.
    len = p_period + 1.
    concatenate 'MEG' len into var.
    select single ( var )
    from COSP
    into temp
    where (any conditions)

    Hi,
I have declared the quantity field  V_QTY TYPE AFKO-GAMNG.
I am passing the quantity field values from the internal table which is having data for the quantity field to V_QTY. but the field V_QTY is not filling with the quantity.
Instead of the quantity, it is taking the   * value into the field.
I am not using any control break commands in my coding.  I am attaching the code also. can anyone guide me .

    Hello Ramesh,
    Check your declerations,
In internal table  I_HHEADER , the quantity field is of character type. And in internal table I_HITEM, the field GAMNG is of type quantity. There will be type mismatch.Correct it and see if it works.

  • Populating Quantity fields in Table Maintainance generator Events.

    Hi all,
I have a custom table, in that i have to check the material number and the quantity of the previously present entries and current entry which i am adding in the before save event.
However in the total table.... The value of material is getting populated correctly but the value of the quantity is not the actual one which i have entered, It is taking the value 0.00 at runtime.
Please suggest me the approach when we have to deal with the Quantity fields in the table events.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Anuja

    Hi,
The reference for the Quantity field is provided in the Custom table. However the value of the Quantity is taken as 0.00 at run time.
Please refer to the below code.
    LOOP AT total.
        IF <action> EQ space.
          l_wa_temp-matnr = total+3(18).
        l_wa_temp-bmenge = total+95(13).
          APPEND  l_wa_temp TO l_i_temp.
          CLEAR l_wa_temp .
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
however the  l_wa_temp-bmenge is getting populated as 0.00 however the actual value entered for it is 10

  • Quantity field in Asset Master

    Dear All,
We have created one Asset e.g. "Drawframe" which includes the total acqusition value of 10 Drawframes i.e. if 1 drawframe is of 1000 Rs/- then we have included 10,000 Rs (1000*10) in single asset "Drawframe".
    Now my query is:
When I sell one drawframe then how would I be able account it in Asset accounting, because I have a single asset with combined drawframe values.
I saw quantity field in the Asset Master. Please let me know if the use of this field in my case.
    Regards

    hi
check out this SAP explanation for that field
    Quantity
Quantity that the system manages on the asset
    Use
For assets in which a base unit of measure is entered, you can enter a quantity when you post acquisitions and retirements. The system then updates the asset according to this quantity when you post, based on the debit/credit flag of the transaction posted.
In addition, you can already specify a quantity when you create a new asset master record. However, any quantity you enter in master data maintenance (such as 1) is added to any quantity that is entered in the acquisition posting.

  • Regarding Editable Quantity field in ALV Grid

    Hi Experts,
I need your advice in this 2 scenarios.
1.I have a scenario where quantity field in output is editable and the user wants the quantity field printed without thousand separator. If i take a char field and display the field is editable then user may mistakenly type a,bcd...z/ special characters which it should not capture. Is there any char data type data element which accepts only integers. Because after that i need to save that value in z database table quantity field.
    2. when there i raised an error message after validation of that editable field in alv output(by events), the user wants all other rows in that grid as uneditable except the row which has got error till this error is solved. Is this possible. If yes how.
    Please share your valuable suggestions.

    Hi abilash n
as in dictionary, all quantity fields should have a reference to the unit field which then defines the number of decimals.
The rest is done automatically as long as you do it standard way. In field catalog you have to set the fcat-qfieldname to the name of the field that has the unit.
If you do so, also totals will be grouped by unit.
SAP has really done a great thing by inventing  units for quantities (and currency keys for currency amounts). Only developers do not understand and thus refuse to use it.

    Clemens

  • Passing quantity field into RF Module

    Hi,
From java application we are passing quantity field (parameters) to bapi goods mvt create . we have applied all right justified , mulitiplying options but unable to post a document. they are using string datatype & we r using the quant ..we have tried with all options with string datatype it is accepting at our end but from java side when they are passing Func. module is not accepting...any clue on it..any fm
    Thanks & Regards
    Gaurav Saxena

Yes U r right but I had made it string datatype and then right alligned and then again pass it to quantity field it is accepting at our end but failing while java application execution. it is giving the error " Maintain serial number for total quantity " that means it is taking some more quantity instead of 1 ( while  passing i serial no.) something like 10,100.... so any suggestion..

  • In ML81N, Quantity Field allows maximum 3 digits after the decimal.

    Hi Everyone!
            Hope things are going good.
In SES, ML81N, The Vendor has a total invoiced value of $9033.5 .
The Gross Price of the Product is USD 13,333.33
The Quantity entered is                        .667 or .668.
Both of the quanities entered  gives a value which is $6 more or less.
The only way to arrive at $9033.5 is to use quantity .6675 and the Quantity field does not allow the entry of more than 3 decimal digits.

Dont change the domain, as this has a huge impact on your system. At least talk to SAP before you are doing that.
I am just the opinion that you have a wrong unit of measure for your material.
You did not say what unit you use, but if it is KG, then you better use Gram to meet your requirement.

While populating the field catlog do the following thing to   avoid zeros.
      wa_fieldcat-tabname = 'I_OUTPUT'.    " Curr
      wa_fieldcat-fieldname = 'FWAER'.
      wa_fieldcat-seltext_l = text-023.
      wa_fieldcat-no_zero = 'X'.
      APPEND wa_fieldcat TO i_fieldcat.
      CLEAR  wa_fieldcat.
    Thanks,
    Khushbu.

  • Make quantity field of Free goods as non-editable.

    Hie!
I have free goods scheme of 9 + 1 .If quantity of main material is 10 then it will split into 9 + 1 where 1 is free of cost.
While making the sales order the free goods quantity field is editable. So the users are able to change the free goods quantity. I want to make this field as non-editable.
Please suggest how to do this.
    Thankyou.

    Hi Pallavi
If you change the manual qty which is automatically determined by the system then there will be a message thrown by the system
Suppse in your case if 9+1 you change the qty manually to 2 from 1 there is a message V1 no 737 thrown by the system
You need to change the message class thro ABAP development only not possible thro customization
Not only this in delivery also it is possible to change the free qty and this also has to be controlled by the ABAPer only

  • Quantity field in ALV

    Hello All,
I am using OO - ALV in which I am displaying a quantity field. This field is an editable field and if user tries to change the value and SAVE , it is taking some wrong values.
Say suppose I am having 1.000 as the initial value and if user changes it to 2.000 and saves it is converted to .002.
I tried with qfieldname , ref_fieldname of fieldcat but of no use. Anything apart from this will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Dhwani

User might be changing the value to only 2 and you might have declared the fieldcat with 2-3 decimal places. If you enter value with decimals say 2.001 it will take.
Otherwise you need to replace it with char value as Nanda has suggested.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Jayant
