Quantity recource related billing

Hello,
i have an issue with the billing quantity. At first i´m creating a sales order with quantity 1 (service material) for a WBS element. The second step ist the billing request (DP91), and the quantity is ok. I´m using doctyp L2 and kondition EK01. When i save the request, the quantity is 1 and if i create the billing it´s the same quantity. I want to use the recource related quantity. DPP-Profile is ok, because the DP91 contains the right quantity.
Any ideas?

    I have encountered a scenario here at my client.
    My client wants that the billing document should be created with reference to Sales Order but only that value of invoice should be relseased to accounting which is delivered.
    For example,
    Sales Order = 10 units
    Billing Document= 10 units
    Delivery = 5 Units
    Released to Accounting Value = Eqvalent to 5 Units which are delivered.
    Reason why Sales Order and Billing should be of same quantity is that when a customer asks for an order confirmation, he requires Billing document for legal purposes but they want to hit their G/L's only on the basis of Quantity Delivered. As they are not aware when the customer come back to pick his remaining quantity. So they do not want to hit their accounting based on Sales Order quantity.   
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    If billing has to be posted only after delivery, it is a clear case of Delivery related Billing. It is not order related billing.
    You SHOULD have the following scenarios here.
    Have a normal order and have  Proforma invoice linked to it with the condition that the quantity in proforma invoice should be the same as order.
    However do the actual invoice after doing delivery for the order. In this case, the posting will be only for the quantity delivered. You can change the quantity in proforma invoice when you are creating the same from order. So that reqmt is also taken care of.
    I dont think of any other scenario where you can meet both reqmts.

    We have a situation where we need to bill only partial quantity for a order related billing.
    Current strategy is to create a release order kind of document and then bill that. We want to avoid this. Is there any possibility to directly copy the quantity to billing document and change it in the billing document?

    Yes it is possible to create 2 invoices for the 2 line items in order.
    --First do the customization as per the Mr. Lakshmipathi said
    --Go to VTFA copy controls
    --Select your Billing Document & Order Document
    --Click on item level  in Data VBRK/VBRP --assign routine of 006 limited single invoice & save it
    --Go to T.Code VF01 & enter the order no
    --You will find two line items. select the both line items & click on split analysis
    --Now you will find two invoice no with the same order.

    Hi,
    First check the config setting in VTFA, In item level, select "A" in Billing Quantity field.
    then go to VF01, put the sale order number & select the line where u put the sale order no. & click on "Selection List".
    It shows open qty as order qty. Here u can change the qty & click on "Copy" then save the doc.
    Pls revert if it is working.

    When I am creating a resorce related billing debit memo request from DP90 with reference to a sales order, the status of my sales order item is not getting updated.
    Since i am referencing my SO items in DP90, ideally the 'Referencing status' for the order items should get as 'Fully referenced'

    IN IMG, in Sales and Distribution->Sales->Sales Document->Sales Document Item-> Item category, check the item configuration - one of the first fields should be completion rule, check tht it has the right completion rule, e.g. completed after full quantity has been referenced.

    You can make the control setting as to whether the invoice receipt quantity or the goods receipt quantity should be relevant for billing in the copy control for billing on the item level in the billing quantity field.
    In Customizing, choose Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Billing documents -> Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents -> Copying Control: Delivery to Billing Document -> Item, then select an item category.

  • Order related billing

    I am trying to create order related billing. The material is a service, but i need to have a delivery created in the background.
    I have created an order and the delivery is created automatically.
    But when i am trying to create an invoice F1 against this sales order the log shows
    Order quantity 1 not equal to goods issue 0.
    in the item category the billing relevance is 'B" relevant for order related  billing  - status according to order qty.
    In the copy control for F1 billing type and orer type OR the billing quantity indicator is 'C' order quantity. 
    Can someone suggest the reason for the error message.

    HI,
    Order related billing is applicable to service order processing. So, there is no need of delivery document here.
    For your case:
    In a delivery document the u2018Delivery quantityu2019 and u2018Picked Quantityu2019 should be same. In your case, the picked quantity is zero. This is the reason for error message. The picking quantity should be 1.
    You can make the item as u2018Not relevant for pickingu2019 at Delivery item category level in customization. Then the Picked quantity field will be greyed. It will not throw error.

  • Order Related Billing - Overall Status B after billing

    We have changed billing relevance of our order related billing item category to B (Relevant for order-related billing - status acc.to order qty) and the copy control to the billing document to E (Goods receipt quantity less invoiced quantity).
    This now allows us to bill these sales orders based on the GR and not wait on the IR.
    However, how can we control the overall status of the sales order item billed? When billed partially, the overall status is set to B (Being Processed).
    I see no process, except changing order quantity which will set this overall status to C.
    I see COMPLETION RULE but after setting this and completing billing, the overall status is still BEING PROCESSED. I assume this is because the copy control from sales document to billing document does not have an 'update document flow' option.
    Is the solution a custom routine in the copy control?

    hello, jim.
    the system behavior is correct. in a purely order-billing scenario, the status remains as "being processed" because you have not completely billed the item, and there are quantities that are still to be invoiced.
    if the open balance is no longer to be billed, in general we "reject" the open items.  this action completes the line item status.  if there are no other line items in the order, the entire document will also be completed.
    i think you have a third party transaction.  when you say "partially billed", are you referring to quantities invoiced based on GR, which may be less than the order quantity?  if so, rejecting open quantities in the sales order should complete the order.

    Also, maintained the copy control (T. Code: VTFA) between OR => IVA (for TAS) as follows:
    Copying requirement = '013',
    Invoiced quantity = 'F', (*)
    Quantity/value = '+',
    Pricing type = 'G'.

  • Quantity Issue- Milestone Billing

    i am doing milestone billing, where the scenario is , i hav to bill the amount in 3 stages.
    30-30-40.
    Here i am using the billing type F1
    earlier when i was creating a invoice for the first time by default the system was taking total vaule of the invoice where it should take only 30% of the amount and 30% of the quantity
    Total Qty  =100       Billing Amount 50,000
    As per break up it is
    qty                 Amount                 invoice
    30                  15000                      F1
    30                 15000                           F1
    40                  20000                      F1
    Now the billing should happen in the same way where if i invoice the customer for the first time the ststem should take the quantity as 30 and the amount as 15000.
    As told i change the the copy control setting for pricing type for sales-billing , so now the system is picking up 15000 as the value for the first billing .
    BUT THE QUANTITY WHICH THE SYSTEM IS PICKING IS 100, where it should pick up- only 30.
    plz guide me for the solution

    Your requirement can be fulfilled through Down payment configuration
    Check the down payment configuration , it will help you and it will solve your problem
    item category group - 0005
    item category  - TAO
    for this TAO item category a billing plan 01 (milestone billing plan -01) will be assigned and its billing relevance should be I which is order related billing .
    billing doc type - FAZ
    cancellation billing doc type - FAS
    maintain a condition type AZWR which is down payment settlement , it has requirement as 2 and calc type as 48 acct key as ERL
    Now when you enter a material in line item 10 and go to item data , you can see the billing plan tab.
    now go to billing plan tab and enter the start date and enter the dates on which billing has to be done and then in billing request enter 0009 which is for down payment.once u press enter automatically it all the dates get blocked and billing request by default  you get as 1 , that you change it to 4 or 5 . 4 is for down payment at value basis and  5 is for down payment at percentage basis. and beside that there will be a billing type .assign billing doc type as FAZ. to all dates
    check the copying requirements are there at VTFA as 20 and for item category TAO copying requirements 23 is maintained or not 
    now do the cycle    OR - LF - FAZ (billing doc type)
    NOTE : Make this configuration in the billing plan
    Total Qty =100 Billing Net Amount 50,000
    qty Amount invoice
    30 15000     FAZ
    30 15000     FAZ
    40 20000       F1

  • Delivery-related billing for TAS : take VPRS value from GR or Invoice

    Hello,
    One my customers currently invoices stock items and Third-Party Items separately. He now wishes to invoice both items together.
    In Third-Party standard flow no delivery is needed. In order to invoice both items together I have now activated the delivery for the Third-Party item flow (item category TAS).
    I can now invoice both items together based on the common delivery.
    I have now another problem regarding the TAS item invoiced...
    -  In standard flow (third-party processing = order-related billing), the value for VPRS is taken from the MM flow (either from Goods Receipt or from vendor's invoice depending on the customizing) automatically. This is great since the vendor might enter a different cost than the one from the sales order and it is that cost that we need to find in the billing doc and in CO-PA.
    -  When I do delivery-related billing for my TAS item the VPRS is not updated from MM but is taken from Sales order (thus from material cost) --> incorrect value for my customers's need
    I need to do delivery-related billing for item TAS with VPRS in billing doc (SD invoice) = value of MIGO or MIRO
    Can anyone indicate me how to do this (user-exit? routine? ....)

    Anyone, please correct me if i am wrong.
    can we do like this for the given situation:
    instead of changing TAS functionality, let us have billing relevance G (Order-related billing of the delivery quantity) in the item category for the stock items. so that you can bill both stock item and third party item in one billing document with reference to Order instead of delivery document.
    you can have separate Item category for changing in SO for stock item whenever you want to club Third party item and Stock item for billing in the same document.

    The Price of a Customer-specific services are not determined by Standard Prices .
    For example
    Make to order production
    Plant maintenace
    Resource related Billing is used in the CUSTOMER SERVICE and PROJECT SYSTEMS
    We use the RRB process to bill the customer for the Material consumed and the Costs incurred in the customer project.
    The flow is
    Create the Sales order in VA01 which has the DIP profile assigned
    Now Using the Sales order create the BILLING REQUEST in DP91
    now create the Billing document in VF01 using hte Billing request in DP91
    VA01DP91VF01
    this is the flow
    Please check and revet.

    There is a lot of difference between cash sales order  and normal sales order
    The differences are
    cash sale document type - BV , standard sales order document type - OR
    Item category for cash sale is BVN and normal cash sales order it is TAN.
    In VOV8, if you go to BV document type details , shipping conditions will be on where as in OR , shipping conditions will not be on .
    In cash sale order , automatically a  delivery number will be created in the background once you save the cash sale order , whereas in normal sales order , after saving order you need to do delivery and then save it then only delivery  number will be generated
    In cash sale  the billing date will be todays date only where as in normal sale billing date can be after 1 week also , depends on the availability check
    In normal sales cycle , you get invoice in billing F2, where as in Cash sale when you create a cash sale order the output you get is the invoice for the customer.
    In cash sale  there wont be any credit , where as in normal sales order there will be credit for customers .
    Example :
    cash sale - A customer purchasing goods in a retail outlet and then and there he is paying cash (no credit) to the retailer.
    Normal sale - Customer purchasing goods but paying in installments , that means he is a regualar customer and he is getting credit.
    Why cash sale  is order related billing ?
    Because , once you save the cash sale order automatically the delivery number is also created. now when you go to VL02n and enter the picking quantity it has to be fully referenced , of how much you have given in the cash sale order . But if you try to do partial delivery . you cant do again , you need to change the quantity  what you have given in the delivery and enter in VA02 and enter the same quantity. then only the order will be closed
    check the billing relevance for the item category BVN ( it is order related billing)
    normal sales order is delivery realted billing ?
    Because the item category for TAN is  relavent for delivery and Billing relevence is different from BVN
    you can do paritial deliveries in normal sales cycle till complete order quantity is referenced

    Maintaining Profiles for Sales Order and Billing Request
    Use
    The Dynamic Item Processor (DIP) profile defines and controls resource-related quotation and billing for service orders and sales documents. It may be maintained in either the Customer Service or the Sales and Distribution section of the IMG. The DIP profile allows flexible determination and translation of actual labor, material and other costs into sales materials for appropriate pricing and billing.
    DIP profiles BC10 is used exclusively in the value chain for time and material project.
    Integration
    The DIP profile functionality is closely integrated with the controlling module for the processing of cost objects into sales materials.
    Prerequisites
    Relevant sales document types, condition records, sales materials have been created.
    Procedure
    Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
    IMG Menu Project System ® Revenues and Earnings ® Integration with SD documents ® Creating Quotations and Project Billing ® Maintain Profiles for Quotations and Billing
    Transaction Code ODP12.
    Activities:•
    In the configuration item Profiles for Sales Order, Billing, Results Analysis, choose profiles BC12.
    • The DIP profile can be used for processing resource-related billing and results analysis, as well as for generating resource-related quotations. To do so, sales document types must be defined for each usage. Access the Usage section of the profile and maintain the following entries:

    • Access the characteristics section of each profile. The characteristics are the objects which the system will take into consideration when processing and displaying resource-related billing.     Go through t.code DP90
    1.U will get "resource related billing request initial screen.
    2.U enter ur "Srevice order", then select "Expences" button.
    3.u get " Billing request for resource related billing document" Here the columns for "Open amt" and "Amt. to billed" equal the transactions that have posted to the project and have not been billed. To continue, press the "Billing request " button. The system will ask you if you really want to do this -- say "yes"
    Then u will get the overview screen.
    Link service order to a quotation thru transaction DP90. The quotation will be created with reference to the service order. The business scenario is that you are creating a quotation for the job to be done. The line items in the quotation are based on resources and materials planned in service order.
