Quantity to be reduce while taking MRP
Dear SAP Guru
I am facing problem, i am working on MTO strategy in this here it happens that we are creating 5% buffer of finish product against Sales Order in order to cover loss during production activities. So some time it may happens that certain quantity of finish material available after delivery of sales order. We get same kind of order again and again withsome time interval.
Now what i want is if i have some stock n i get new order of same material then while taking MRP for new order that specific stock shuld be taking into account ie that stock is reduce while taking MRP.
Dear PP Guru please tell me how to do this???

Check the Indivd/collective indicator in material master MRP 4 view?
First run MRP with MD50 and then Run agian in MD02.
To assign the stock to sales order you can do this through MB1B by 412 E mov type.

Please describe your problem better, it's not easy to understand...
Strategy 10 is net reqirement planning:
- SAP considers only PIRs as requirements, SOs are not considered
- SAP considers stock levels
- requirements should be LSF (check in MD04)
If you input sales order SAP won't create PldOrd for it. If you have stock and you want to create more to fulfil you SO, you have to input PIR accordingly and run MRP.
Please clarify your problem...in a way that we may understand it.

Can't read input

We are able to take offline, online backups but we are facing the above mentioned problem while taking archive log backup
We are on ECC 6 / Oracle / AIX
The kernel is latest
The drive is working fine and there is no problem with the tapes as we have tried using diffrent tapes
can this be a permissions issue?
I ran saproot.sh but somehow it is setting owner as sidadm and group as sapsys to some of the br* files
I tried by changing the permissions to oraSID : dba but still the error is the same
Any suggestions?Means you have not initialized the medias but trying to take backups.
First check how many medias you have entered in your tape count parameter for archive log backups (just go to initSID.sap and check)
Then increase/reduce them to according to your archive backup plan >> Initialize all the tapes according to their name (same as you have initialized in initSID.sap) >> stick physical label to all the medias according to name >> Schedule archive backups
It will not ask you for initialization as already you have initialized in second step.
Suggestion: Use 7 medias per week (one tape per day)

Hello Experts,
Currently while running MRP, system has the provision of taking material which are in scrap stock, We want to put a validation so that material of scrap location cannot be used while MRP run .
Please suggest.

AnkurYou need to exclude the scrap storage location from MRP through IMG tcode S_ALR_87006263
Also for all the materials you need to change the MRP indicator = 1 in MMSC for that storage location. You can do it in a mass way using tcode MM17. -

In both two cases it gives elapsed time results,library cache missing etc but before giving this it throws ORA-00604 error as stated above
then i again correct the tkprof statement ..

say this schema name here i used is dummy schema name.
My question is did this error came as we had not sufficient previlages in the old_schema but that previleges we have in new_schema?

And are there any trace files generated during this error?
And as You can see from error description, probably You will have to contact with Oracle support in order to solve this case:

Getting error while taking MAX DB trans log backup.
Hi,
I am getting error while taking trans log backup of Maxdb database for archived log through data protector as below,

Unable to back up archive logs: no autolog medium found in media list
But i am able to take complete data and incremental backup through data protector.
I have already enabled the autolog for MAX DB database and it is writing that log file directly to HP-UX file system. Now i want to take backup of this archived log backup through data protector i.e. through trans log backup. So that the archived log which is on the file system after trans log backup completed will delete the archived logs in filesystem. So that i don;t have to manually delete the archived logs from file system.

Now i am able to take archive log backup but the problem is i can take only one archive file backup. Not multiple arhive log files generated by autolog at filesystem i.e /sapdb/MAX/saparch.
I have enabled autolog and it is putting auto log file at unix directory i.e. /sapdb/MAX/saparch
And then i am using the DataProtector 6.11 with trans log backup to backup the archived files in /sapdb/MAX/saparch. When i start the trans backup session through data protector it uses the archive stage command as "archive_stage BACKDP-Archive LOGBackup NOVERIFY REMOVE" If /sapdb/MAX/saparch has only one archive file it will backup and remove the file successfully. But if /sapdb/MAX/saparch has multiple archive files it gives an error as below,

The issue is related with a lock while trying to backup the controlfile.
The lock is more likely caused by the autobackup controlfile process started just before RMAN process was also trying the backup controlfile as shown in the following alert.log excerpt.

This error comes if the Web Dynpro iView don't have the Web Dynpro application name specified.

1. System - Sap-LocalSystem
2.Name Space - local/<your webdynpro project name>
3.Application name - <your webdynpro application name>
4. choose plain HTML option

I am facing one problem while taking the backup to disk. After copying few files to disk it got terminated and hereunder the log ,

This looks like hardware error.
is there enough free space on /backup2/archlog/bdwuyjxg/?
do you get the same error if you try manualy? -

I have a ASUS windows 8 laptop. when I open the camera app, it say "Something went wrong while taking a photo" and says "connect a camera". I already checked my device manager under the imaging devices, the webcam is installed. i already

is by default is deactivating .How to activate this button ? who will do this one (Abaper or basis guy).

So, as you see a field "from ... to ...", I think you are talking about the "background print parameters" dialog (this is not the smart forms print dialog, which contains field "page selection").
I don't understand. "Pages from ... to ..." is always displayed, and the user can enter them manually. Do you want to enter pages programmatically?
What is your code or the steps to display this dialog? Is it fully standard or do you use GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS programmatically?

Problem in Alpha and beta symbol displaying while taking printout.
Hi Abapers,
I am displaying a Long text in Certificate of Analysis which consist of Alpha and beta symbols in it text. While viewing the Print Preview of the smartforms . Alpha and Beta symbols are displayed properly. While taking the print out of the same , The symbols are not displayed properly they appear in different format. but that printer is supporting these symbols I checked with a word document.
Please help to resolve this problem.

The printer will be supporting the characters but in SAP, on SAPD transaction, the device types must be changed for the proper printout. Some times the font types also play a major role. try using helve_cyr or cour_cyr.

Problem While Taking out Printout Through ME9F

I am facing problem while taking out printout of purchase orderthrough ME9F.
as if i have to take out the printout of any po i have change the printer to LP02 in messages in me22n.
In messages i hav output type NEUand in that Logical destination is set to LP01.
Now can any body tell me how can I Set that output type for printer LP02 So that whenever the New Po is created i Don't have to change it's Logical destination type.hi,

THen go to MN05 for setting...
Steps:
Maintain the o/p type...
click on the key combination...
Can maintain at any of them as per your requirement...
in the next screen,Then change for single vendor or for range of vendors....enter the necessary data...
Then in the next window, maintain the vendor, function and partner if any, medium etc...and save it...
Now from next time it'll give you the this maintained o/p type...
