Quark could copy and paste a para style

Way back in Quark ±3 you could select some text, copy that para style and paste it to another paragraph. You could also select a load of paras then function click on another style and it would change the selection.
Can ID do this?

How to copy and paste web design styles from the web

I am not doing so well with the web style templates provided in the latest versions of IWeb.
Is there a way to copy and paste the html code from some site who's design I like then paste it into my Iweb and then put in my content to the style that was up?
I used to be able to do do this about 10 years ago with a Claris Homepage program, don't see how to do it with IWeb.
It's like I have to do everything from scratch, draw background boxes, don't see frames.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. No you can't copy the code form a site and use it in an iWeb page. To use frames you would use an HTML snippet and this code:

I have several albums in my library that do not show the album artwork. It states it is not available in the iTunes store. In the past I could copy and past album artwork.

I have Windows 7 on my laptop and the latest version of iTunes. I have several albums in my library that do not show the album artwork. iTunes states that it is not available, even though the album is available on iTunes. In the past, I could copy album artwork and then paste it on my albums in iTunes. In the lates version of iTunes, a past option does not seem to be available.

There are 3 ways to get custom art into the Artwork box:
copy/paste
drag-n-drop
Add from a file location.
In various iTunes releases, it is common that one of the the three is broken. Try one of the others.

Why cant I copy and paste local links (file:/// or bookmarks) into an editable page (browser or email) in Fx 4 or 5, as I COULD in Fx 3?

During the time I was using Fx 3, I found out that I could copy and past links and bookmark folders into an editable page in firefox, and manipulate those links just as I could in my emails for instance -- copy and paste to my hearts content! and the links would remain clickable--
now, having switched to Fx 4, and then a week later Fx 5, I find out that in neither of these versions can I still do this same operation-- the links from file (file:///) and bookmarks to local pages (including about:config, or about:blank) used to show up in an editable page (and then saved in the scrapbook extension, but even if saved onboard my disk, no matter) as a clickable link-- (no, about config would not open up from a saved page, Im trying to remember more examples here, the LINK would still be a correct hyperlink)
now, in Fx 4 and 5, these links are copied to the clipboard as text only!
this saddens greatly-- I was making wonderful use of this feature back in Fx 3.6-- but Fx 5 really is faster, and so far, ALL the extensions Ive come to LOVE still work great in Fx5, and things happen faster
can someone tell me why,

is there a config setting, or some other solution that can change this back for me?

Copy and paste border style

How can I copy and paste border style in the new Number? In the previous version, I'm able to do this by allowing border selection, now I can't.

Do you mean copy and paste style? Can I just only copy and paste the border style of a cell?

Every time I want to move text to a different cell, copy and paste copies all styles as well. How do I just copy and paste the text while leaving the style of the receiving cell in tact?

Christopher. If the alternating row color is the obstacle, I suggest selecting the table, then setting the background color to white, then check the "Alternating Row Color" check box in the Table Formatter:

Copy and paste a Text-Layer to another picture - Its not a Textlayer more

i tried to copy a text-layer from one psd-Picture and i want to paste it into other pictures:

It might be better to duplicate the text IE:
var currentDoc = app.activeDocument;
var dok_textebene = app.documents.getByName ("text.psd");
app.activeDocument = dok_textebene;
activeDocument.activeLayer = activeDocument.artLayers.getByName('name of the textlayer');

Copy and Paste into Java Applet

I know there have been some posts like this in the paste, but could not find a reasonable explanation.
JVM 1.4.2_08
For an unsigned java applet (Swing) I could not copy from a notepad document into my applets JTextField and JTextArea fields.
JVM 1.5
For this same applet (Swing) running under 1.5, I could copy and paste from the notepad document into my applets JTextField and JTextArea fields.
Does anybody know why the difference?
Is there a way to copy and paste for applets running in the 1.4.2 jvm?

I think it must be some security restriction.
Set a policy for the applet or sign it:
Set a policy (windows):
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re****\lib\security\java.policy
under grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
this means that you give all permission to all code, if you only want to give permissions for applets
comming from google you can add the following:
grant codeBase "http://google.com/-" {
permission java.security.AllPermission;

Why no copy and paste

My guess for iPhone not supporting copy+paste..
- iPhone only supports English as the input language.
- iPhone can display multiple languages including Japanese.
- If I could copy and paste, I would have copied a text from Safari or any mail and pasted it to other apps.
I guess supporting copy and paste will not be enabled until iPhone lets you input other languages.. Any other thoughts?

I don't think copy/paste has any connection to language input support. Having copy/paste would make it easier to develop workarounds, but it's not even necessary for that. By pointing the browser at this page using javascript keyboards

You can send emails in a variety of languages.
If there were a javascript keyboard for Japanese input, you could do the same thing, but I have not been able to find one.
I suspect you may see copy/paste well before you see built-in Japanese input, because the latter requires a lot of memory space and perhaps some complex programming.

Another alternative is to save it to the Reading list for offline reading at your leisure - if all you want to do is to be able to read the web page when you are offline. Plus, you could copy and paste it from the Reading List if needed. If you want to save it to the Reading List, tap the action/share icon in the upper left of the Safari toolbar, and select Add To Reading List.

Copy and paste styles between objects and entire slides

Hi,
In Keynote 5 I was able to copy and paste styles between objects and even between entire slides.
cmd+alt+c on one object (like a circle) and all its details like shadows, colors and animations could be transferred to another object.
One could even do it with entire slides and transfer one animation style to all the other slides.
THAT DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE.
Does anybody else miss these features?
Or is it just me?

object animations tools are:
copy animation:   Format > Copy Animation
paste animation   Format > Paste Animation
     there are no keyboard short commands for these.
There are no tools to copy or paste transitions between slides, you could duplicate the slide then add the content.

How do I copy and paste text style for multiple video tracks?

I am creating multiple video tracks with text. I want to easily copy and paste the style, i.e., Font, Color, Size - rather than having to scroll down the giant list of fonts to find the one I want, then change the color, then change the size - each and every time. This is arduous.
I tried copy / paste of one text onto a new video track, but when I type in a different word, it alters the original.
I have 9 tracks of video for 9 different texts that will pop in and out of my video. I would like to be able to copy/paste then just change the text. This would save me a huge amount of time.

I know of no way to alphabetized the Adobe Styles that come with the program.
If you had the time and the inclination, you could rename them all to force them to appear alphabetically, but that does not seem all that practical.
But, if your interest is in the Styles that you save and you do not hit the Reset File List, the new Styles will be at the bottom of the list and you can name them so that they appear that alphabetically at the bottom of the whole Styles list. But that does not address the matter of you having to scroll to the bottom of the Styles list.
In some instances, some things that you think that you cannot do in Premiere Elements obvious features, can be done by computer keyboard shortcuts. I check the keyboard shortcuts under the Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization and unfortuately did not find any that would be applicable to this situation.
As for your changes in one text file popping up unwantedly in another text file, that is because you have text files with the same name. Look into creating duplicates (with different file names) in Project Assets at the onset.

I have two text tracks and would like to copy and pasts the attributes and style tabs in "inspector" to another text track. How could I do this without having to manually set each individual track as I create it.

Why doesn't copy and past style copy the borders?

Why doesn't copy and past style copy the borders? For some reason it copies the style of the characters or numbers themselves but not any border formatting. Why is this?

It would be speculation to try to guess what is going on with borders when using Copy Style and Paste Style, unless you know more about what is going on than I do. Sometimes border style is Copied and Pasted, sometimes it isn't. Based on my observations, it depends on the pattern of borders. I suppose that there could be an assignment of a shared border to one cell and not to the adjacent cell, so when copying the style you may or may not capture the border style based on which cell was selected during the Copy. I don't think it is possible to Copy/Paste a Style pattern, and I can't say why.
I find that it's most efficient to create a table with the desired pattern of border styles and to Copy data and Paste and Match Style into the table. I suppose that you have noticed that when you Copy an entire table, you capture the Style of that table. So, copy the Styled table and then paste the data into it.
