Quarter to months drilldown problem

Hi,
I need to create a repprt in which i need to calculate net sales for a quarter. and then when i drilldown on the quarter i should get monthly figures.
Can someone please tell me how to implement this.

There may be a defect in the phone. As you bought it in the US the only place you can get it looked at is in the US.
When you say you bought it new, unlocked did you buy it directly from an Apple store? If you did not it was hacked to unlock it, which could also be your problem. Apple stores are the only place in the US that sells legitimately unlocked iPhones.

Report by year quarter or month

We have requirement where we may have to show some reports by either year,quarter or month.How this is supported in OBIEE answers ?

Mark's suggestion answers exactly what you asked, but when you select "quarter," for example, you'll get all quarters regardless of year. This would also be true if you selected "month." What I would suggest is building dashboard prompts for year, quarter and month. This way the user can select what year, then quarter, then month if needed, to constrain the data appropriately. By checking off "All Choices" in the dashboard prompt design, you user can see all quarters for a year, for example.
Another way would be to use drill down from Year to Quarter to Month.

Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power to it for 30 seconds.

7 Months of problems, still no resolution.....

As the topic reads, I have had over 7 months of problems with my 3G service, and zero resolutions (other than credits to my bill).
I am in 3G coverage, and my device has 3/4 bars for 3G (Not 1xRTT). My speeds are more often than not under 100kbs. Even more often it is slower than that. I have made multiple calls a month complaining about this issue. People in my community have called in themselves with the same issue. Nothing is getting resolved. The bill credits are nice, but cmon, I want what I pay for.
I have been through 2 USB 760's, after RMA'ing the first after reccomendation from Verizon. Made no difference. Purchased an antennea from Verizon (tech said it would fix issue), made no difference. Ran said antennea OUTSIDE OF MY HOME, still no difference.
This is on multiple computers, all of which have been formatted clean before testing. It is not my computer. Even VZW techs say it is not my machine. I have updated my PRL, and the VZW software. The modem is stationary, is never moved. The device works fine in another town, with less signal.
What gives? Do I have to keep calling multiple times a month until something gets resolved? Has anyone else had any experiences for rectifing this?

How is your signal strength? As far as I am aware, the antennea will do no good if your signal is good.
If I could get a wire based internet, I would have it. However, there is no cable, the landline provider is.....Verizon....but they will not put in any type of high speed internet. No dsl, and I'll never get FIOS.
I want to hold out for LTE....but who knows when it will launch in my market. I get wildly different responses when I ask. One rep will say the end of this year is a nationwide roll out, others say certain markets.
Funny, last night I got a PM from a Verizon employee. It took over 16 seconds of stareing at a white page for just the "reply to PM" page to open. It is incredibly slow.
I would also LOVE to be able to finish a download without it stalling. Big download....dont do it on this service. You waste your precious little data on a stalled download.
I wonder if I stated a website complaining about the service, if something might be done.

Comparing facts of different dimension levels - drilldown problem.

With our customer, we do a lot of comparisons of sales budgets vs. actual sales. The sales budgets are given per month, like this:
Sales budgets: Jan 09: 40,000 EUR, Feb 09: 45,000 EUR, Mar 09: 20,000 EUR... and so on.
There is a time dimension (year -> quarter -> month -> day). Since BI does not seem to allow binding facts to other dimension levels than the lowest one (day in my example), I used a trick and modelled these sales budgets as a fact table: (expected sales, last_day_of_month)
So I have this:
Sales budgets: 01/31/09: 40,000 EUR, 02/28/09: 45,000 EUR... and so on.
This way, I can connect both actual sales and sales budgets to the same time dimension. With this, I can create an answers report that compares the two facts easily.
The problem is now that the customer wants to drill down. This is no problem with year->quarter->month. But then, BI naturally allows to drill further to day, and in this case, BI compares the sales budget of 01/31/09 with the sales on 01/31/09, producing wrong values.
I either need a solution to prevent BI from drilling down from the month level in this special answer report, or maybe I am making an error with my modelling. Are there any ideas on how to do this better?

I'd model the repository differently, by modeling the actual sales fact on the lowest day level, and sales budget fact on monthly level. That's how I've understood the data really is defined, right? (Lowest level physical time table you already have but for sales budget you need to create also a physical time table which is on the month level. First define the correct physical joins. Then define the logical table sources in the BM layer accordingly.) In order to be able show the sales budget together with lowest level you can create the sales budget measure as a level based measure (fix the measure to the level month in the column properties-->Level in the Administration tool).
If you just want to prevent users from drilling-down on a specific dashboard report you can go to properties of the column(s) in that report and set the interaction type for both title and values to "No interaction" in the second tab of the properties menu in the front-end.

Month view problems in Mac Calendar App

I am not able to see more than five or six events in the Mac Calendar App (using Yosemite). It says there are four or five more events on the day, but I click on the day and nothing appears. I click on "5 more" but it won't tell me what the 5 more events are. This makes the month view kind of useless to me. Does it bother anyone else?? The "year" view is much more informative. I can click on any date and see ALL the events that day. I don't know any way to see all the events in the month view, however, and that seems weird. If there IS a way, please let me know. There are no instructions, and there seem to be no complaints on the forum or anywhere else. I guess I will mainly use my google calendar online - which will let me see all the events I have scheduled just by clicking the "+5 more" link.

Well here we go again another month same problem

Im really annoyed about this now it is every month since march the same problem.
Had the issue at begin of sept got engineer to come out 16th sept to fix the issue he tested everything in the house and there was no problems. He went to the exchange and reset stuff there telling me to give it to the 3rd October to settle down. So it settled at max achievable speed 2000kbps and my ip profile was 2000 kbps but my ip profile went down to 1750 on the 28th of sept.
Well today yip you guessed it my max speed is 500kbps and my ip profile is now 500kbps.
Im so fed up now as i will again have to wait for them to sort it out and then it will be ok for a couple of weeks with the max speed and ip profile going down till im back at 500kbps on each.
There has got to be something causing this, the quiet line test is clear, my hub is wired direct to the wall socket that has an inbuilt filter in it.

Fed up with BT-18 months of problems ignored.

Here I am again to complain that my broadband hasn't increased beyond 150kbp/s this evening.
I run the BT speedchecker and it says 4mb. I run any other speed checker and my own independent
Linux tests I get ~ 150kbp/s early in the morning.
I have complained every week or so for EIGHTEEN MONTHS about this. I PAY MORE than my
neighbours for broadband who ALSO SUBSCRIBE TO BT and they get FASTER SPEEDS (~5mb).
What is the point? I give up. I have not seen any youtube videos for a year (impossible) I find it
almost impossible to ebay. I find it hard to stomach when I am paying the maximum rate for my
broadband.
I regret the day I subscribed to BT.

In your other post, a mod offered help fixing the call quality on your phone line (should be fixed as a phone fault). Did you follow it up with them?
Have you tried the quiet line test (corded phone into test socket, Dial 17070, then option 2). You should hear nothing. You might find that changing ISP doesn't actually fix your problem and you'll end up having to get BT Openreach in anyway.
Have you tried the speedtest (using Linux as you did earlier is a great idea as it means no virus exists during the test) with your ADSL router plugged into the master socket? Do you have any extensions?
Could it be a flakey ethernet card or cable or microfilter? They do go bad and it's always worth eliminating the possibilities.
Have you checked there are no hot VPs at your exchange?

Query Drilldown problem

Hi All,
We are working on BI7.0 and facing a weird problem.
As in BW 3.5, when i execute a query on the web and utilize change drilldown feature for characterstics in the rows to "horizontal" option, the characteristic jumps from rows to columns in the navigation pad.This allows me to drilldown the same char. again in the "vertical" option and re-jump to rows heading in the navigation pad.
However this not the case when i execute a query in BI 7.0. Here when i drill down a char. in the rows to "horizontal" option, the char. remains in the rows and it still displays only the "horizontal" drill down option instead of "vertical" drill down.
Am I missing any setting or some other problem is there.
Any fruitful answers shall be appreciated and rewarded.

Web Reports - Drilldown Problem

I have a Web Report where I am only displaying the text properties and the result table. In the selection screen the user has to select a company which he will be working with. I also have configured in RSBBS a drilldown for this report. The main report is working fine, the problem lies depending on where the drilldown is made. In the result area you have the characteristics, and the results for each of them eg
Org. Area - Distribution Channel - Qty - Value
AAA - MT - 50 - 150
If I do a drilldown from the "50" in the Qty row, the drilldown works fine by transfering the selected company to the second report, but if I do a drilldown from te "AAA", or "Org. Area", the selected company value is not transfered to the second report thereby generating an "Authorization Error" considering that the user has acess to a few companies. does anyone know how to solve this problem.
Obs. All of the rules in BBS are set to generic, except the company which is set to variable as a diferent variable for the company is used the second report.

I have partially solved this problem by including the company at the line level and under its characteristics selected it to not display it. The problem only remains when the drilldown is made from the titles ... if anyone has had this problem please let me know how it can be worked out.

I use iCal, my husband uses the calendar in gmail. Fro months no problems on invites and acceptances. Now if he invites me I am no longer offered an acceptance and it is not visible on my calendar unless I link his gmail calendar which I do not wish to do

I've been using iCloud since it's inception as "mac.com" or whatever it was called. I've been able to Sync Outlook Exchange Calenars to my iMac, iPhone and iPad. However, I cannot get iCal (when viewed in iCloud) to display Exchange or Google Calender items.
It's odd, all other Mac versions of iCal are happy e.g. iMac, MacBook Air, iPad Air, iPhone etc. But nothing when I login to icloud.com and look at the iCal there.

Time dis aggregation frm Quarter to Month using APODPDANT

I am trying to achieve something like this.
The Data view has past 12 months in months and 4 quarters in future. (2011 M01,2011 M02......2011 M12 and 2012 Q1,2012 Q2...2012 Q4)
KF 1 has values in 12 monthly buckets in History.(Say 2011)
KF 2 has values in 4 Quarters in Future (Say 2012)
In msdp_admin i tied up APODPDANT to KF2 (Used P and K respectively for structural and time based)
In MC8V i used KF1 as basis to calculate proportions from 01.01.2011 to 31.12.2011 and in Periodicity i gave M and copied proportions to 01.01.2012 to 31.12.2012.
Now for testing i put some sample values in 12 buckets in KF1 (simple values such that the sum of three months forms a 100 in Quarter Eg: 20 30 50, 25 25 50, 40 30 30 etc)
i calculated proportional factors after entering 100,100,100,100 in four quarter buckets of KF2.
When i dis aggregate the Quarters to months what i am expecting is the same ratio which is defined in KF1 (20 30 50, 25 25 50....etc) but i am getting 31 31 38 in all monthly buckets of 2012 and sometimes 33 33 33
Can someone point me out where i need to start looking to fix this.

Hi Sai, first one basic good practice regarding APODPDANT (if you are not following already)
Have APODPDANT in some view so that you can check that the values are coming correctly.
You calculated the proportional factors in KF2 AFTER entering values in quarterly buckets of KF2.
Proportional factors should exist BEFORE value is entered in KF2, else do a re-disaggregation again through macro, or try changing the values of KF2 now, and it would follow the proportional factors.
Ideally, I think teh complete sequence for you should be:
1) Enter values for months of 2011 in KF1
2) Calculate APODPDANT for 2012 based on monthly 2011 values of KF1
3) Either enter quarterly values manually in KF2 (in some view having quarters), or do some calculations to get the quarterly values of KF2
4) Check for monthly values of KF2 in a different planning view having months in future, you should see properly disaggregated values
If this doesn't work, please let us know.

Correctly that is it is showing all positive amount
But PLABED it is showing Negative amount
We have checked with the abaper ,he told us that it is taking current fiscal year amount and previous yr i.e 2007-2008 it is not taking
What can be the possible solution

The Balance which is shown in J2IUN transaction is for all the business areas for a particular companycode. When you are doing a utilization for a particular excise group & for a particular period (say Today) then system will show the PLA balance for all the business area in J2IUN for the fiscal year 2008 if your fiscal year variant is fro April-March. So check the G/L balances of the duties which are shown correctly as well as the PLA G/L balance & also check your PLA G/L account assignment in
SPRO/Logistics general/Tax on goods movements/Account determination

How to create a "running total" by Quarter and Month

I need a report that will display 3 columns of monthly summary data and then a total column for that quarter. I need this to repeat for an entire year. Here is what the final result should resemble:
The fields I will bring into the crystal report are:
Unit
Code
Month
Quarter
Sum (which is the summary value - let's pretend it's number of apples picked)
I can probably find a way to get SQL to spit this result out or something similar, but I had hoped Crystal would be able to slice and dice this dataset into the end result above. Would make my life easier! Thanks.

Hi Jack,
If you're using CR 2008 or higher, you can easily do this with a Crosstab.
You can add the 'Date' field in the Crosstab's column and the Unit and Code field in the Rows.
The Date field can then be set to print 'For Each Quarter'.
To show the summaries after each quarter, you can have a look at the example in this thread:
Crosstab - column subreports
and create a formula that inserts a column before a new quarter starts.
The only complicated part is the insertion of the subtotal columns after each quarter and the formula that actually calculates the subtotals.
If you think this is too complex or unmanageable, the SQL method of bringing each month (in a quarter) alongwith the totals would also be fine.
