Queation for JDEV team : BC4J Next Release Date?

JDEVELOPER TEAM
When will be your next BC4J release date ( about fixing bugs)?
null

I presume you are talking about post JDev 3.2...
The next release will be JDeveloper 9i
and we do not have a firm date as yet.
We are expecting production to be roughly
mid 2001 with a Beta available a few
months beforehand.
As mentioned by Juan, we'd be interested to
know what you are looking for. As we are in
the thick of 9i development, perhaps you
can help us focus in certain areas by giving
us input.

  • Next release date for C++ Parser- URGENT-

What is the next release date for the C++ Parser??
The bug in 2.0.3.0.0 regarding broken DOS filenames is preventing us from shipping a build to Apps that is required next week.
Otherwise what is the most recent C++ build that offers:
    a) A fix for entity reference parsing(&apos,&quot)correctly.
    b) DOS filename compatibility(i.e c:\cleo.xml).
This is very urgent so your response is much appreciated.

It is scheduled to be released by the end of this week.

  • Next Release date of sql developer

Does anyone know the expected release date for the next version of (1.3) SQL Developer? I'm interested in the revision control functionality and hoping to get a general idea of when it will be available.
    Thanks

    Hi Kris,
Thanks for responding. I understand that dates can't be committed to unfortunately I won't be attending OOW this year and I was just hoping to get a general indication if the update would be this year or some point in the first part of next year.
    Thanks, Rick

  • A how to question for JDev team

    Hi,
I am learning to develop JSP application using BC4J.
Using wizards, I am able to get a
default view of the current record. However, I would like to change the layout display. Probably this needs to be done without using the wizards. How can I do this using BC4J? Could you please refer me to some sample code/documentation? I am currently using JDeveloper 3.1.
    Thanks.

    1. Upgrade to JDeveloper 3.2 which makes >BC4J interaction simple and reliable.I strongly recommend option #1.
Unless you have some constraints, I would recommend moving upto JDeveloper 3.2 which offers support for JSP 1.1 custom tags. JSP tags make it easier to customize your page. You do most of your layout management in HTML and use the tags to get the data.
The follownig collateral at http://technet.oracle.com/products/jdev/ might be of help:
1.Building JSP Applications with BC4J Data Tags (paper)
    2.BC4J Data Tags demo script
Also, the updated Online Orders tutorial in the product has a complete web app developed using the new JSP tags.

    Arun

  • For JDev team

    Hi Guys,
I'm trying to develop some applications using JDev 3.2.
I have been dealing with some problems using your Data Aware controls.
Since last december, I posted a topic asking for help with setting a TableModel in a GridControl using the method setModel().
This is the topic's text: "
I'm working with a GridControl and I'm linking a DefaultTableModel with that GridControl.
The following is a snippet of the code:
    DefaultTableModel myTableModel = new DefaultTableModel();
    GridControl gridControl1 = new GridControl()
    gridControl1.setModel(myTableModel);
When adding rows to the myTableModel, I suppose the GridControl must show those rows.
But the only thing it does is to show a blank row.
    Does anybody know what's wrong?"
Do you know where can I get some help? Is there another place to look for How to's, Bugs or something?
The fact here is that I don't want to get stucked for little details like that and many times waiting for a response in this forum just takes so long.
    Thanks in advance,
    Agustin

Agustin, what Sathish is saying in a round about way (*grin*) is that you can't have your cake and eat it, too, in this case.
You may be able to do something like this today or in a future release by setting up a View Object that is strictly JDev attributes, ( an entity object with NO persistent attributes ). Seems like one could do that, architecturally... ????
I'd also visit java.sun.com or do a global search on dogpile.com to see if I could find a "gridcontrol" control that you can beg, borrow or purchase to meet your needs. Remember that Oracle isn't the only one with components available.. heh! this is JAVA!!??! ( Reusable components and all that )..
Also, there are books with CDs that have gridcontrols with some of the capabilites (sorting, reorganizing and such ) that you may be wanting.
    Good Luck

  • Any ideas for the iPod nano 7g release date in October?

I know it's in October, just want to know when

    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19855678#19855678
It will hopefully be released this week. An online store says they are due for delivery Oct 15, therefore Apple should be releasing them at least a week before that.

  • J developer 10g production release date ?

In this forum (also in blogs) Many thread from jDev team said that release date is in Q3 2004
    Q3 will finish tomorrow...(31/3/2004).
Is there any news about that...

Guys, believe us that we are trying to get this version out of the door ASAP. We are now going through final testing of what we believe would be the final version.
We'll make sure to let you know when we go production, just keep an eye on the JDeveloper home page:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev
Or even better, add the JDeveloper RSS news feed to your favorite RSS reader:

  • Expected Date of Next Release of Sql Developer

    Hi Dev Team,
Not sure whether this has been asked before; but wanted to check to see if you have decided on the next Release data of SQL Developer if so is there a sitefor beta checking a nightly build or so ?
    -Thanks
    A

Well, sometimes I resist coming to the forum in the morning, it's not always a good way to start a day with grumbles, but this morning this thread made me laugh. K is correct, Oracle does not provide dates of releases+. Typically we provide a 6 month window for a next release, but sometimes we are required, legally only to provide a year span. This protects you as the customer and us, as a development organization. Case in point last were our releases last year, when we effectively rolled our SQL Developer 2.0 and 2.1 release together and only released SQL Developer 2.1 at the end of the year.
What made me laugh today was the specific date provided. Nowhere in our internal plans for the year are there any specific dates noted. There are ranges and targets and these may change.
The date provided is neither accurate nor useful. Please disregard.
What is true is that we typically follow a major release with a full patch and we plan to do the same this time. You can expect a patch to SQL Developer 2.1 within the next few months. We are gathering and fixing bugs that we have found since production, bugs that were identified and did not make production and bugs noted on the forum. Not all will make the patch, but it's worth putting in as many fixes as we can before releasing the patch. So no date for SQL Developer 2.1.1 (the patch release) and definitely no known dates for SQL Developer 2.2, regardless of what you hear on the forum, from an "internal source" or on the wires.

  • Release Date in Future for PR

When MRP is run for MIN MAX Items the Release date in the PR  shows the future date
suppose if PR is created thru MRP today its release date is shown in future some 2-3 days in future.
the release date shub be same when PR is created for Min Max items when MRP is run.
    why it is so ????

    Hi ABhishek
Release date is the date on which procurement should have started acting on the PR i.e by this date PR should be released (approved) and handed over to purchasing dept for necessary action. It is based on the lead times of the material and delivery date.
The F1 help for this field is very good. Pl go through it once.
    Example:
    Date required:                     01.Oct.96
GR processing time:                 2 days (working days)
Planned delivery time:             10 days (calendar days)
Purchasing dept processing time:    2 days (working days)
For the material to be available on the date it is needed, the purchase requisition must be released on 11.Sept.96 (requirement date less GR processing time, planned delivery time, and purchasing department processing time).
    Best regards
    Ramki

  • Approximate time for next release

Can anyone at Adobe give a general idea for timing of the next release? Eg. Q4 2010, Q1 2011

    Hello out there....
I've been waiting for someone from Adobe to answer this one?
After lots and lots of great feedback and suggestions from this forum, can you give us hint of when we might see some of them, pretty please?

  • V7.0 SP6 Release Date ???

Is v7.0 SP6 still due for release next Friday (16th October), and if so will it be available for download immediately ???
I need to know as I have an upgrade test from v5.1 to v7.0 scheduled for w/c 19/10 and it would make much more sense to test on the latest version of BPC, rather than using the current version and having to retest once SP6 is released.
    Thanks
    Craig

I have not been notified of the next release date, but if it is psted in the SAP notes somewhere, then I suggest it is the next trgeted delivery date.  But this may only be confirmed from EPM Product Managment team.

  • JVM Versions - Release Dates

    Hi,
This is not entirely on topic, but its about the most appropriate forum I could find!
I am looking for information on the exact release dates (to the day) for previous versions of Java, up to and including 1.5.0_u14. Can anyone point me to an authorative (preferable a Sun official page) source of this information? I have tried searching the Sun site but can't find this information.
    Regards,
    Adrian

Google - wow what a great tool - thanks for the tip.
I am looking for dates for releases including minor versions, up to 1.5.0_u14 as I said in my post. I have searched of the Sun site using both the internal Sun search tool and also Google, but can't find readily this info. Hence my post to the forum.
If anyone has any idea where I might find this information, that would be great.

  • Release date for next version of Forms?

Has anyone heard of a release date for the next version of Forms (10.1.2.0.2 or whatever it will be)? I may be starting a major Forms project shortly and I'd like to use the most current version of Forms with the current Application Server.

We are looking at mid summer this year. Depending on your start times it may be as well starting on 10g (9.0.4) as there is a long support cycle for it.
